I love sushi and having one so close to me is just the cherry on top. I remember when this space went through a few phases of being a ramen shop and something else I can't remember, but it appears that O'sushi is doing well enough to stay put. This location is clean and has decent waitresses. The sushi chefs are always pleasant and attentive, but the waitresses could look less distressed and put smiles on their faces. The price is great and during happy hour (11 am-2:30 pm) every day, the prices are even better with red plates being $1.25 and all other colors $1.85. I love taking advantage of any happy hour at sushi bars as it gives me an affordable way to try out the expensive pieces. The selection is always great and it's always fresh when I visit. There aren't many sushi places near 82nd so it's definitely the place to binge if you're in the SE area.

I really like this place, which is saying a lot about an assembly line sushi joint. Prices are decent for $2 for a hand roll or special, and $1.85 for most sushi plates. While their are some random rolls that roll on by on the assembly line, the gem is most of the food here you order from the sushi chef, and they will just hand to you. Most of the sushi is prepared right away and you won't have to wait for it to roll on by. I really liked their selection, and everything was just about on par with a normal Japanese restaurant except in general it is cheaper. The owner is also super nice if you get to talking to him.

Excellent sushi prepared by a very friendly and swift staff! At the moment happy hour lasts all day so you can eat a lot at a very modest price. They have a great selection with good portions. It's also conveniently located near Fu Bon, portlands largest Asian mall- great for those who like shopping after their meals!

Attention : cheap sushi eating people, this is it! Kind of like sushiland, but trying a little harder. The sushi is on a conveyor belt, which goes around and around. Some of which do not have plastic lids covering, which kind of grosses me out. I opted for ordering straight off the menu. The fish is not the best quality. . But didn't give me a tummy ache, so that's a win! Do not order the takoyaki, it's probably from a frozen package. DO order the fried calamari, that's pretty tasty....crunchy! Go here if you like cheap sushi, if you're a sushi snob then skip it. Also they close pretty early! Bonus: happy hour reduces to pricing of the cheapo plates from 1.85 to 1.35... yippee cheapy!

O'sushi excels in its seemingly humble category of conveyor belt sushi. They are located right next to the Fubonn Shopping Center and they have plenty of varieties for Sushi. Their low price is no barrier to a good time. I went there on a Saturday night and I was unfortunately not seated for about thirty minutes. When the time came, I sat down and there were lots of items on the belt. Each item was $1.50 including some nice salmon rolls, California rolls, Philly roles and combinations of each. Unlike other places, they had rolls at the low price. For just a few people, it all came to about $30.

this place is the best! always taste fresh and many options. They will make sushi to order as well if you like it a certain way. Usually busy but thats because they are so awesome!

Just a good old conveyer belt sushi bar. The price was decent. Good place to talk to a friend. I went at an odd hour so not many people were there which was nice. I loved that atmosphere. Even though, it is a conveyer sushi bar. The stuff look fresh, and when you order, they made it right away. But again, I went at odd hour so they weren't busy.

Great sushi and friendly staff. Yummy yummy. Everything was tasty. Great prices--check out the happy hour.

Went here randomly. O'sushi is located in the Fubon Shopping center. It a quick cheap sushi place that serve sushi on the belt. They seem to always have some kind of cheap promotion on there sushi. If you looking for a quick and cheap bite to eat this is the place. If you looking for high quality sushi look else where.

Do you like sushi? Are you cheap? Are you anywhere close to SE PDX around lunchtime? If you've answered yes to all the questions, then you really should try the new O'sushi! I've only been here once for Happy Hour (11am-2:30pm), but DAMN! for a mere $5-7 you can a great variety of sushi, nigiri, and sashimi that totally fills you up! The $1.25/plate HH special applies to EVERY sushi dish they have on the menu, so if they don't have it on the belt, you can order it and they'll have it out FRESH in just a few minutes! And what's better: the waitresses/chefs were actually pretty nice and friendly, which is not found at all sushi restaurants! I think their sushi quality is as good or better than any other conveyor-belt sushi place in PDX, and when it comes to price/value their happy hour cannot be beat (though I'm kicking myself for not trying it when it was their grand opening $1/plate special!)! Please don't go there expecting top-grade, line caught, wild, organic, fish and then complain because it's farm fed Atlantic salmon or the like. Let's call a spade a spade: it's cheap fish, that fills your stomach but is light on the pocketbook. As long as you're ok with that, you'll love this place! I'll be back to see how their non-happy hour menu/value stacks up!

Of you're craving for some decent sushi and very reasonable prices then this is the place to go!! There happy hour specials range from 1.25-1.50 per plate!! What a frickin awesome deal!!! The salmon skin salad is my favorite!! Hamachi and crab salad is nothing to sneeze at either! You won't be disappointed!!!

Ugh. Where do I start? Wandered in here thinking maybe I'd catch the happy hour prices listed on the large banner hanging over the front door, but it looks like that's only 11:30am-2pm (had a hard time finding those hours listed anywhere but right on the door itself!). Anyway, I should have known what I was getting into seeking out happy hour conveyor belt sushi.. after all, not my first go-round with the cheap fish train. But something about this whole experience really chapped my sushi-hole, and left me with a bad taste in my mouth (a bit literally, too). Our server came by to ask us if we wanted drinks, and asked if we wanted to order from the menu. BF ordered calamari, and a few other nigiri items. Server promptly darted her hand over to the conveyor to grab the only remaining calamari doing rounds, and it was soon apparent that it had been circling the restaurant for a LONG time. She was gone before we could say anything, and never returned. When we went to pay, we mentioned the cold dish and she replied with "well you could have reordered"... hmm. Any attempts to order things directly from the sushi chefs felt like we were a giant pain in their ass, and I don't recall seeing many new things being put out while we ate. Lots of brown avocado floating by! All of this to say, I certainly won't be rushing back!

Good tasty conveyor belt sushi. This place was packed when my friends and I walked in, but luckily we didn't have to wait too long. We picked items of the belt and ordered hand rolls and specialty rolls from the server. The salmon skin hand roll was big, had great texture, and taste. The salmon skin was crunchy, it wasn't overstuffed with rice, it was balanced well with cucumber, and the nori was crisp. I was impressed for a $2 hand roll. The specialty rolls were big and tasty too. We will be back!

3 stars for today's visit. The hostess would have rather argued with me about where to sit, than just let me seat where I asked (far corner seat by the wall as you walk in). I don't care for how they squeeZe extra seats in so out feel squashed elbow to elbow with another diner. I purposely seek this seat out just so I don't feel that way sitting on any other area of the bar. When I showed my displeased reaction, she's like sure I guess- we just don't like having people scattered (ok I get it), but don't argue when you're not that busy and flick attitude. You wonder why you won't get a tip when I check out.

  • Alisa G.

This rating is based on exactly what this place is: cheap, conveyor belt sushi. If you're comparing it to Masu or Bamboo, you'll be disappointed. But if you're looking for fast, good grub with efficient service for the price of a trip to Burger King, you'll be very satisfied. Strike that - the last time I went to Burger King, I paid $8.59 for a combo meal. When did that happen? Another rant for another day . . . Kudos to O'Sushi for the very rapid service when ordering with the chef. Plates are delivered within about a minute, unlike SOME places (I'm talking to you, Sushiland). Servings aren't generous, but they aren't stingy either, and the fish is always fresh. For some reason, their wasabi isn't very strong, so you may have to slather it on if you like the sushi sweats. Also, they only put out low sodium soy sauce. All the better, I say.

The first thing i noticed when it first opened was that it was so CLEAN. of course, it had just opened up at that point. The rolls were decent enough, and much better than a lot of other conveyor belt places I've been to.

I've only been here a couple of times but both times the service and quality were good, better than most sushi tracks I've been to.

  • Mya P.

I normally love going here, but not today. Staff today are incompetent and definitely do not have their act together. I took my daughter in waiting and not only did they not have their clipboard out to put our names down so they had no way of tracking who was first so people started to try to sit down before us. Then there was a booth opened up they refused to seat us cause it was only for 4 people or more, but yet a family of three was ok to sit there soon after us. Then when my daughter and I finally sat down and tried to order so I can get out of here sooner the idiotic waitress had us sitting and waiting and never bothered to put my order in. I had to order directly with the chef. If it wasn't for my lil one being hungry, I would have never sat her down to eat!!!! I'm glad I'm from the west side of town with better staff people there!

  • Brittany T.

I've been here a few times and the food has always been good. Not many creative flavors found in the rolls but the fish was fresh and they managed to keep up with the busy rush of people. Happy hour prices can't be beat. For a conveyor belt sushi restaurant it's definitely well worth it.

I go to O'Sushi all the time for lunch while I'm working. They have a great selection, and the happy hour is fantastic. The atmosphere is very fun and happy. Out of all the sushi conveyor restaurants around the area, this one seems to have the highest quality food. I LOVE the salmon sashimi, tempura, and asparagus rolls. Delicious!

Best sushi in TowN!!!! The seared salmon has jus the right taste to make u sssSalivate!!! Must stop by-

When we walked in the staff was rude. The sushi look all the same with no variations. Also, the staff sat around talking instead of cleaning and offering a space to sit for entering customers. We will never go back.

  • Katherine M.

Pretty decent conveyor belt sushi. Maybe it's because I always seem to come in at very slow times, but selection can be a bit meh. However, you can ask for whatever you want to be prepared fresh, so it's not too bad. Service can be a bit slow even if it's not busy though. Their seared salmon is pretty good. Tempura is also pretty tasty. Most of their rolls have some kind of krab, so I tend to avoid a lot of them. Overall, not bad considering it's $1.75 for a plate (or $1.25 during happy hour.) Will be back for my cheap sushi cravings.

  • Hayden N.

It was strange, it never busy when my sister goes for lunch or seems so when I walk by--however, it was packed that day I decided to meet up with some friends for lunch. There was already a wait-list and we waited about 15 minutes or so before a space opened up, which is not awfully long. Conveyor belt sushi is quick when you have an hour lunch break. The food was alright, similar to that of Sushi Hana or Sushiland.

I love this place the best! I come here quiet often, constantly ordering bowls and bowls of calamari and the best of salmon rolls. totally love the happy hour and am glad it's so close to my home

very inexpensive, good variety, not as traditional as Takashi or Ichiban but still tasty more interesting, modern rolls, at a much better price.

Okay it wasn't fantastic but I give this place 4 stars because of the price and service and okay to good sushi! Clean and updated atmosphere. Things I really enjoyed were: Albacore nigiri Pepper tuna nigiri Seared salmon nigiri Spicy tuna roll Okay plates: Crab salad gunkan Chicken katsu(didn't enjoy the drizzled sauce, tasted like ketchup) Spicy Salmon roll(too creamy) Calamari And I tried other things too I don't know their names though. Hot tea only $1 soda $1.50 We had a total of 12 plates and two drinks for $23.50! Amazing!!! That's what blew me away was the price and okay sushi! Will come again for the ones I enjoyed, good service too!

  • Jessica R.

It's kaiten-zushi. It's not going to be super high-quality sushi. However, it is quick, tasty and inexpensive. Although a few things are tempting on the actual conveyor belt, I recommend ordering some items off the menu, as they tend to be better/fresher/less filled with cream cheese and mayo.

    (4)
  • Aivy N.

First off, I would have to disagree with some of the previous reviews. This isn't a sushi place where each piece of sushi is meticulously "made with care." It's a sushi belt, awesome for people who want to run in, run out to eat. It is amazing quality compared to other sushi belts around portland, and the food is fresh. The service is great too. The waiters comes around to clean, get drinks and take orders in a timely manner, while the cooks try to get your food out as soon as they can. The rest is up to you. Overall great place and I would come back again and again whenever I'm craving sushi.

  • Kathryn K.

One of my new favorite places!!! I tried their house rolls this time and they are really good. I still can't recommend enough the fried calamari and the pepper tuna. Both are excellent.

    (5)
  • Junior R.

I came in for a quick bite. I ordered the chicken Katsu, to my surprise they served me a fried chicken patty a la Burger King style. It was clearly processed chicken. Then the sushi looked dated, definitely not fresh. I will definitely not be going back. The one thing they have going for them is the friendly staff.

  • Mz. Leta N.

I've been in here several times. the $1.25 happy hour is nice but it is more like vegetable sushi on the spinning belt, with a few fish selections. On the other hand you can order from the menu but I don't know if you get the same discount for the fish items like tuna, salmon skin or etc. On the other hand the &1.75 regular price is still good. But!.....isn't a regular sushi cut equal to 6 pieces? So if you order tuna roll and get 3 pieces for $1.75, if you order 2 plates to get 6 pieces, that equals $3.50. That is the regular cost for a 6 pieces anyway. So not the great deal that others have stated. I still recommend going and try it the easy way on a week day when the crowds are at work.

  • Lih-Wern W.

When it's fresh it's good for conveyor belt sushi but when you get a piece that's been sitting for awhile it can be kind of gross. A cold fried item just isn't that great even when it's cheap. A fresh seared salmon is delicious and amazing for the price though. I say 3.5 stars depending on when you get your food. I went for happy hour so it was even cheaper. It makes me more inclined to give it four stars.

  • Thlel Yan D.

This place sucks. Blah "sushi" where everything gets it's flavor from hot sauce. Spicy seafood ramen belongs in a Thai restaurant and they don't offer any other kind, and the service is completely confusing. Was told there was no menu in addition to the conveyor belt items, and then learn that there was, such as bad ramen and ok full size rolls. Lame. Asked for the bill and was given a sheet of paper that had a tally of how many items we had at what rate for each, and no actual bill. Had to ask to find out if we pay at the front register or even find out how much the bill was. Ugh, go somewhere else.

Good clean place to get cheap sushi. The food is what you pay for. Service is OK. The resturant is clean. Compared to other cheap sushi places in the area it is miles above the rest

    (3)
  • Andi W.

Friendly! Great sushi and prices at $1.85/plate. Good portions. Special ordered tuna sushi and shrimp sushi. Both came minus wasabi, but there was a jar beside the sliced ginger for customers to help themselves. Arriving 40 minutes prior to close, it was great to walk in, sit down and quickly begin eating. This conveyor-belt sushi house was a fun experience and I'll return with friends.

  • Winnie F.

Clean, fresh sushi and chiefs are engaging and nice. Which is rare! This place it's manged with an umbrella of sushi restaurant in Portland and Eugene (Sushi Hana and Sushi Station etc.), so they have very similar business model. Price is good, food is way better than sushiland. Only thing I can pick on it's the parking. But hey it's in the fubon shopping center. So come on over after you shop for groceries.

    (4)
  • Solomon R.

IT'S CHEAP SUSHI, QUIT COMPLAINING. You get what you pay for. If you want better stuff, go to Mio Sushi or something, sheesh. It's fantastic when you're making not much money and your significant other loves sushi, but not the high priced stuff. Great quality for a sushi-train restaurant. Everything is fresh. And my favorite part? Happy hour (more like 3 hours lol) has $1.25 plates, for nearly everything on the belt. Yay. I am definitely a repeat customer. It's been consistently good. Even the service is five stars. I reccomend it to anybody looking for cheap eats and want a sushi fix.

  • H. L.

Good conveyor belt sushi. I didn't know they were affiliated with Sushi Hana until I was on their website. We like Sushi Hana and this was solid as well. We special ordered salmon cheeks, seared salmon, and spicy ramen. FYI - the ramen is spicy, but tasty. Calamari is good too! Spicy tuna was just ok. The service was very attentive with special orders and water/soda refills. We'll be back again to obtain our sushi fix. :o9

The food is something you can get at Fred Meyer deli, also they need take the time to train their employees to stop showing that they're unhappy...and to stop giving death glares.... Also,, why am I always denied the booth but others can get it? I will not be returning.

Went for the first time yesterday for lunch, and loved it. Happy hour prices made the price for a big lunch really reasonable. Fresh sushi, good variety, friendly staff, and quick sushi-makers. I haven't been to a conveyor belt sushi place in a while and was very pleasantly suprised. Loved the seared salmon and crispy california rolls. We'll be back!

    (4)
  • Monica T.

I really enjoy this place. The price is reasonable and the sushi quality is decent. Most of the stuff on the belt is like California rolls, Philly roll, or house roll. I always get the tuna here and it's pretty good to me. Seared salmon is really good if you're going for that and I recommend getting anything fried like calamari or tempura as an order. Overall, this is a good cheap place to get sushi and there usually isn't much of a wait.

  • Gina S.

I've been to eat here a few times and have always been unimpressed with the quality but tolerated it. BUT my most recent trip, a waitress poured water all down my back and then the manager refused to give me more than 1.85 discount on my meal. And it was raining and my coats were soaked. NEVER going here again.

  • Rob C.

A year has passed since my original review and the Hunger Games scenario is rarely an issue at $1.25/ea. There is salmon, tuna, snapper, and calamari spinning around like a merrygoround. Don't forget you can order items if you can't see them on the belt. I would be the duke now but that would mean ousting my girlfriend as duchess, something that carries worse consequences as being a losing tribute.

This restaurant has lost sight of what it is. Their identity confusion has seriously impacted the dining experience and food quality. Over the last 3 months I have been to O'Sushi 3 times for lunch, and 3 times for dinner. The first 2 lunches were great as far as quality and quantity of sushi on the sushi belt. Everything was pretty much $1.25 per plate. The belt was well stocked with sushi and rolls. The major downer is that the Sushi Chefs do not take requests. They do not want to engage you. If you want special order like a hand roll, you must order from a waitress (in a Sushi Bar with a belt???). Good luck with finding a waitress. I requested a Salmon Skin Hand Roll (not a common item). The Sushi Chef did an awesome job of making it. It tasted great and esthetically, it was beautiful! My last lunch was yesterday. The pricing had changed, becoming more complex and confusing. There was conflicting signage as to their pricing. The belt was poorly stocked and only had rolls on it. 90% of the belt as rolls. Most of the avocado was gray or brown (old) and appeared mushy. I couldn't get the waitress for a request, nor could I get my bill so I could leave. The 3 dinner trips were all a bust. The belt had little on it to choose from and they always looked like they were left over from hours earlier. Again, forget about making a request to the Sushi Chefs. This restaurant wants to control waste by requiring you order via the waitress, even for sushi belt basics such as Tuna or Salmon. Dinning is awkward and cumbersome with little attention by waitresses. The restaurant completely misses the concept of being a Sushi Bar, let alone a Sushi Belt. It is hard to understand considering it is the same ownership as Sushi Hana. Personally, I go out of my way to go to Sushi Hana in Vancouver (at least 20 visits in the last 3 months). O'Sushi has the wrong mind set for what it is trying to accomplish.

  • Ethan D.

Months back I wrote a sparkling review on Sushi Hana, claiming it was by far the best "conveyor belt sushi" (I guess the appropriate term is "Sushi Train") restaurant you are ever going to find. And as if in answer to my secular prayer the folks that bring us Sushi Hana opened a restaurant, O' Sushi, less than a mile from my house in the Fubonn Market area!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \ (^_^) / The sushi here is awesome! I simply cannot believe they can charge only $1.75 a plate for it (and, even more unbelievably, $1.25 per plate during their brilliant happy hour!). The sake (salmon sushi) is seriously outstanding, for example... I could sit there eating plate after plate of the stuff for hours. I have tried almost all of their plates and I can tell you right now that it is not the typical "Sushi Train" quality... it's far better... yet the prices stay the same as your typical Sushi Train place. I don't know how they do it but boy am I glad they are doing it! If you're looking for a quick, cheap sushi fix and you're in SE Portland SERIOUSLY look no further than O'Sushi. Only make sure you leave a seat open for me. I will be a regular here in no time. To whoever opened this restaurant: THANK YOU!!!!!!!

So I walk in and notice that it's a dollar to sit. Feeling like I'm in a "Gentlemen's Club", I squeeze in next to others at the rack. Looking up, I see flesh. Raw and exposed. Posing on a moving runway. It's like experiencing a "George Michael" video! (Are you trying to seduce me??) Lust builds and an orgy ensues. OOOHHH! Tuna, salmon, and hamachi. Victims of my desires, satisfy my appetite. So cheap and easy, shame spreads over my face. Charlie Sheen texts me "Whats up" ?? And I reply: Winning. Smiling, I wave the Madame over and she tallies my score. I pay the cashier a few dollars and leave. Happy hour, too.

Open 11:00am. -9:00pm. 7days a week. Happy Hour 11:00am. - 2:30pm. $1.00 plates off the belt through the end of Feb. Came in (2.17.2013) Sunday and after looking at the crowd and the chaos and the wait list. I knew with only 30min left on happy hour prices i wouldn't be seated in time for that. So i left. I'll try them some time later. As this is a new location. Second Try on (2-19-2013) right at 11:15am. Only a couple people eating, so there was plenty of seating but it was filling up fast around noon. Lot's of choices from the belt to choose from. Mostly cheaper rolls and the like. The rice needs some work but it wasn't dry. Maybe a little thick and lacking real rice flavor. The fish was a little thin for sushi. Can't expect a lot for $1.00 plates. Still plenty of good food for uber cheap. Other than POP Music being played a bit loud. Pretty good place for S.E. Portlandia. Great customer service.

  • Linda W.

$1.25/plate during 'happy hour' which really is lunch time. Can't expect too much from a cheap sushi place like this but the rolls were decent and the staff kept the conveyer belt full during the busy lunch time. Not a lot of creativity in the rolls but good basic sushi. The place is not huge so there might be a wait especially for groups of 4 or more since I think I only saw 2 booths on the far side Not sure what the entrance fee is about but it's $1.25 I wouldn't consider this a must-go when i am craving good sushi but it's convenient to work for a decent lunch option

I love this place. It's upper-scale sushi at belt prices. We live in SE Portland, but we used to make weekend trips across town to go to Sushi Hana for their fat rolls on a belt. Now we just go to O'Sushi! I don't know how long it's been open now, I know it was recent, but I've already been there twice! I think the cooks are still getting used to the menu/seating, because there is a tiny delay (the only reason I didn't give 5 stars), but again, they JUST opened. All I have to say is that you can't get a LEGIT Spider Roll, that's got fresh, warm, delicious soft shell crab in it for $1.75 anywhere else in Portland. I'm definitely going to be a regular.

    (4)
  • Chris D.

Let me compare O'Sushi to other sushi bars with conveyor belts: It's more fresh than Sushi Land It's more affordable than Sakura Sushi and Fujiyama and every plate is 1.75 However there's a special happening in the month of February. 11:00 - 2:30 Happy Hour = $1.00 ALL plates

    (4)
  • Lawrie M.

The conveyor belt at O'Sushi is the sushi-plate equivalent of the Trans-Siberian Express: be sure to seat yourself at the start of the line, or by the time your choice passes through the Urals and on to Vladivostok, your tempura will be soggy and your rice will be glued to the plate. When you're eating raw flesh, freshness makes all the difference between a delicious dinner and a psychosomatic stomachache. The very friendly chefs will be happy to prepare something off-menu for you -- they offered us delicious poke tuna. The salmon we tried (nigiri and atop a california roll) wasn't great, but all of the tuna items were tasty.

Open from 11am - 9 PM 7 Days a week! Currently $1 Sushi plates until the end of February 11-2:30, I heard that they maybe extending for the month of March too! I've been here multiple times, try to come before 11:30 to avoid the crowd and huge lines (I came here Sunday at 12:30 and they told me the wait would be about 45 min....) The place is just like sushiland, but I would say the quality is much better, and the atmosphere is even better. If it's not during their happy hour it's $1.75 per plate which isn't too bad, for a sushi restaurant. It is conveyor belt sushi though. They have really good calamari, seared salmon, and their hand rolls are great too. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 - Only because it's mainly self serve, but the waitresses are nice! Return: Yes

O Sushi is a must go to place because of how good and cheap it is. They have a lot if selection for being so cheap and most things they make fresh for you. The hot dishes are actually hot and there are wonderful dessert options.

It had a train sushi which is always fun, but the sushi in general wasn't the best you can get in Portland. We will probably try and go again when it is a rush so that the sushi has more options.

absolutely, hands down, my absolute favorite place for conveyer belt sushi! i dont know why it took me so long to get over there but i cant bring myself to eat any other sushi train sushi now. the establishment is so clean, the decor is inviting, the chefs are friendly and eager to take your order and we only had to wait 5 minutes during the lunch rush. it is only 1.25 a plate during happy hour (until 3pm?) and the portions are full size and the kitchen orders are brought out hot and in a timely manner. i wish i had snapped a picture of the tempura! a nice pile of fresh veggies and a large shrimp with a side of dipping sauce for 1.25! i had to get two orders and devoured them both. the kid must have had 10 plates and raved about how good the rolls were. the calamari was delicious. i really enjoyed the attentive service (despite a full house) and the chefs were more than happy to fullfill our many requests. clean. cheap. friendly. delicious. our new #1 go to sushi train lunch joint!!

Round and round it goes, where the sushi stops, nobody knows! Or cares! Because it's sooo cheap and fresh and delicious. I don't even care which plates I eat, why? Because it's cheap! They use the colored plates, but it doesn't matter, why, because it's cheap. But not cheap in that sketch, will I or won't I have stomach cramps later kinda cheap. Cheap as in reasonably and affordably (not a real word according to spell check) priced. The service is prompt, friendly, and chatty. I def recommend going when it's busy. Wha??? That's unheard of. But relax, you go when it's busy because the sushi chefs will be making massive amounts of rolls, seared plates, coconut shrimp, tempura, or whatever FRESHHH!!!!! Plates will be placed in empty spaces waiting to go in your empty mouth! So far, my max amount of plates consumed has been 12 plates. And I didn't even spend $20. That's some budget boss eats f'reals! It's in the same complex as Fubonn, so if you're trying to get your "authentic" experience on and after being gaped mouthed at the largest Asian shopping plex in OR, get your kicks and sticks working at O'sushi!

Great for what it is. Two of us just left full for $28. The selection is a bit limited, with a lot of krab in the rolls. That's Krab with a K. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the place seemed clean. I wouldn't make a special trip, but if you're in the neighborhood an have a sushi hankering, it gets the job done.

I checked this place out because I was really hungry and was in the "quantity over quality" mood if that makes sense. I had to wait for about 15 minutes because it was busy but that was no problem, I was seated and started on my selections! The sushi chefs are very friendly so I had no problem ordering things that weren't on the conveyor belt. Sometimes you go to these places and the chefs are so unapproachable you feel like you're a burden for asking. That is not the case here! The dishes are pretty good portions and the quality is actually okay, again, it is a sushi track so the quality is not going to be top notch sushi bar quality but it is manageable. I used to go to the sushi track "sushi hana" in Tigard but I moved to SE Portland and the commute is simply not worth it. I was pleased to find out that the owners of O'sushi actually own sushi hana as well! I recognized the flavor immediately and was delighted to find that I could hit this place up whenever. Try this place if you just want some basic sushi to fulfill the cravings. The happy hour was 1.50 a plate (11am-2pm) I believe, I could be a bit off on the times. The normal pricing is 1.75 which still isn't too bad.

Lovin' this place!! I live close to here and I'm a fan of affordable sushi. I'm not fancy about my sushi needs but I do avoid anyplace that seems sketchy as far as quality. Although this is on a conveyor belt, the seafood seems fresh and it taste great. Actually before this, I was never interested in conveyor belt places but this place has made me like the parade of sushi coming down the belt and I love that I can get a variety of sushi instead of ordering a couple types. There is also the option of ordering plates which are the same price as the belt.. Highly recommended as you get what you want more freshly made. THere are also additional rolls to order, which are more $, but still seems like a good value -I think it is either $6 or $8, but I can't remember since I'm still enamored with the $1.75 conveyor options. Udon soup is also offered on order. Included in the conveyor belt price range is Mochi ice cream (who doesn't love icecream you can pick up with your fingers??!!), katsu with rice, miso soup, edamame, sunumono, and several other options alongside the usual sushi offerings. I managed to go during happy hour today (11-2:30pm) and I was even happier to pay $1.25 per plate!! I would say that before this I was a fan of Saburo's, which probably says alot about my sushi standards ;), but the long lines and megasushi that I could never get into my mouth in one piece started to be a turnoff. If you are a saburo's fan and like value for your sushi bucks, go to O Sushi instead!

My friend and I went to O'sushi during lunch today. I was excited and thrilled to find a sushi place close by my work. To my disappointment, we asked a gentleman that worked there for an order of seared salmon. We were told that searing both sides of the salmon will require too much time;therefore, they "do not have time" to accomodate such outlandish request. This is our first time here and definitely be our last since they were so rude.

Loved it! They have happy hour sushi for lunch which is $1.25 a plate. Otherwise it is $1.75. They don't skimp out on stuff. They actually have soft shell crab rolls ad dragon rolls on e conveyor belt. Totally worth the trip for good fresh sushi. Unlike some other places there is a nice variety and things are fresh. The service is also quick and they give to refills on the tea. I have found my sushi place in Portland!

I don't if it's really a 1/5 place, but it's so far from a 4 star that I feel compelled to bring down the average. The ambience is nice, the service was fine, but the food was pretty horrible. Pot stickers were cold and stale. Most rolls were sweet when they shouldn't be. The tempura was a tiny portion and too bready. Fujiyama just down the block is worlds better.

Sadly, I have been here more than once. Each experience was much less than awesome. The conveyor belt spins old sushi with brown shriveled avocado. The customer service from the hosts/hostesses is ok but the people behind the sushi belt counter act as if they want us to leave. I've only gone here because of extreme sushi hunger after mountain biking and it's close by where I live. This last time I just plain had enough of old sushi and cold service.

Just opened. Well above average sushi train restaurant. Very fresh fish. Good selection--generous portions on tuna and salmon. Pepper tuna (seared ahi with black pepper crust) was amazing. $1 Happy hour (11:00 AM - 2:30 PM) plus $1 'entrance fee' every day through the month of February. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My rating is based off of sushi train restaurants and not comparing it with upscale sushi restaurants. Marking it down one star because they were out of my favorite creamy scallops.

Outer SE Portland has more than enough Vietnamese restaurants, so O Sushi is refreshing change of pace. I've been to the happy hour four times and have enjoyed it more each time. Hint: variety increases as the day wears on, so it's worth it to wait until 12 noon or later if you don't mind the crowd. And don't be afraid to order something from the menu if you don't see it coming around. You can't beat the price of $1.25 a plate! Big eaters and small eaters will each leave feeling satisfied. My main complaint would be the music: loud, hip-hop type stuff that I find annoying.

Whenever I'm craving Japanese food or sushi, and I don't want to spend a fortune I like to come here. Not only is it cheap but it's really quick. Just grab what looks good in front of you.

I heard about this place from my boyfriend's cousin, so I decided to go there especially because of the prices. I went yesterday at night and was able to sit down right away since there weren't many people there. We sat down and we got the sushi that were on the conveyor belt. It was really good! It was like Sushiland, but better and no wait. My orders were made right away. However, when I got a calmari, it was a little cold. I'm not sure how long it was out there for. That won't stop me from coming here again!

Sushi was delicious, the udon noodles were served in a large bowl with much noodles that tasted great, I love how the sushi on the conveyor belt is only a buck (only for a limited time though), I didn't find much variety in the sushi, but flavors tasted great. I didn't like how there was a $1 entrance fee, but I guess it evens out with the one dollar conveyor belt sushi. The booths looked nice with the light, nice atmosphere. Good thing we came early before having to wait. The gyoza was okay, and for two for a dollar, I didn't think it was worth it... nor the grapes and one strawberry in a cup a dollar. Overall, it was a good meal with tasty sushi.

So I went here at around 1500h because I wanted to take my folks out for sushi for Father's Day. It was a great idea; the dinner rush hasn't started yet. I ask for booth seating because every time I've sat at the bar, I can't stand the people next to me. The place wasn't packed so I thought it'd be okay. There was some hesitation from the waitress but she let is go. We then had some really long wait times, even had to chase down the waitress in order to get some actual sushi. No offense but the stuff on the belt is meant for white people that frequent this place with the over abundance of rice rolls and fake crab. My dad asked the waitress what was going on, why is service being really shoddy and the waitress told us this with a straight face: "Oh the booth seating is easy for us to miss, it's why we call it the 'lonely islands'." I was stunned and appalled. In no world would I ever think that kind of attitude towards service is ever okay and it only made the food taste all the worst. I always like to say the food is the most important aspect of any restaurant but there's a standard to service that can't be neglected and I don't know; it really stung because I rather liked this place for their food. TLDR: We have some next level business tactics here; don't treat all paying customers equally based on where they sit! Hopefully you won't be asked to sit in the back.

It's ok for a sushi place, not bad for the price. The one thing that grinds my gears is that they advertise the Caribbean role both in the menu and on their screen that it comes with mangoes and strawberries. The first time I came in to order they forgot the strawberries but I figured they were probably just out. Second time I came in "still no strawberries," third time I knew the whole strawberry thing is just a lie and they never put them on there. Why not take that detail off the menu if you're not gonna serve it like that? Is it so hard to stock some damn strawberries? It really looks good too, I want them to actually make me a proper Caribbean role. Gonna bring in some damn strawberries myself. Get your shit together I O'sushi.

If you have high expectations going into a sushi place that has a conveyer belt, you should tell me where the magical place is that set the bar so high. If you go to O expecting top notch sushi, you will be disappointed. That being said, O is still my favorite place to get my sushi feed on. I once ate 22 plates in a visit, which ended up costing around $40. That much sushi would have set me back about a million bucks at a place like Bamboo. Keys to O'Sushi happiness: 1. Order the pepper tuna. It's the best thing they have. 2. Don't go close to closing. The selection will be minimal and everything you order will still be frozen. 3. Don't eat 22 plates in one sitting. Rice expands and gets hurty.

First off, the sushi is totally fine. It's obviously not made with care, but it's edible and cheap--$1.50 or $1.25 for everything, so I really can't argue with a sushi meal that costs less than a sandwich. The lights were too bright and the plates weren't cleared away very quickly, so the bar around us sat dirty, which isn't too appetizing. Like all track sushi places, you can order anything else you don't see on the belt. The belt didn't have much variety the night we were there, so we wound up ordering a bunch of stuff. Including the recommended pepper tuna, which was pretty meh. But seriously, for the price, I really can't complain.

Getting any kind of service here is like pulling teeth. It makes me feel like I can't order anything special, and the items on the conveyor belt aren't anything special. Last time I came here there were about 8 items on the belt, and nothing being added. Basically, it was a staring contest between myself and the other few patrons. I came in starving and I think I ate 4 items, left, and ate crackers and the last bit of smoked cheddar I had. This time, it wasn't that busy and I couldn't get anyone to pay attention to me. It was only after I completed my meal that I got the owner (I assume he's the owner) to ask me, "Everything okay over here?" Then when I wanted my check I waited, waited, waited. Some lady spilled her miso soup, and they took 5 minutes to clean that up while the other wait staff stood around. There was tons of food on the floor where they were making sushi. Also, I can't see what's on the other side of their huge island, but it seems like a giant waste of space. All of the dishes are stacked on top. They should turn it into an island with some storage. It makes me wonder what's behind it. Step it up, O'Sushi.

Nothing about this sushi wows but I used to live in the neighborhood and it was consistently good enough to keep me coming back when I had an itch that only sushi could scratch. The place seemed clean and the sushi I took off the belt never seemed warm. The variety wasn't always that great but the usual standbys always seemed to be there. Its a conveyer type place so the servers just get you water and stuff. The thing about Osushi that really kept me going, however, was the all day happy hour! I could get about 6 plates and stay just under $10! For decent sushi, thats an amazing deal. If you want sushi and need to stay under budget, then this is the place to go.

Best sushi on a belt. Great prices too. If you've been scared off by other sushi places on 82nd make sure to try this place out. Fresh food and a great environment.

The all day happy hour is back. This makes me Happy. Happy Hour = Happy Sushi Eaters. What doesnt make me happy is putting in an order for 2 hand rolls and watching the server hand it to the owner and never getting my hand rolls... Lame! I'll give them credit for the sushi happy hour which also makes for a less crowded lunch hour since people dont feel the need to all go at the same time for their sushi fix. Beginning to wonder if the all day happy hour is a winter thing. We will see what happens when it warms up.

After shopping at Fubonn, we tried out the sushi place in the same parking lot it was amazing. The sushi is all $1.25-$1.50, so you don't have to think twice about what color the plate is on the conveyor belt, and the sushi was fresh with great delicious combinations. Hands down better then Sushi land, and half the cost then any other sushi conveyor style restaurant with quality food. Overall great experience, will be back here soon.

Great prices and selection. I've frequented Sushi Land and this place makes SL look like a dump. The service was less attentive but they were nearly full on customers so understandable. I had Udon and it was fantastic
