Dugout has great best bar food and burgers in the neighborhood. Chicken Alfredo pizza is good. They also serve breakfast all day and hash browns are delicious. Stiff drinks. Very affordable, quick when they aren't busy and the staff are great. WiFi

Pretty impressed by this "dive bar". We were at Old Market Pub and was looking for our next place to go. Being a little Leary of the outside we decided to come for one beer. If we didn't like it, we could leave- but it was a new place for us. We're on our 3rd round right now and they have karaoke on Saturday nights. AWESOME. Very clean bar, great prices and good atmosphere. We will definitely be back and may consider this a standard "dive bar" place to visit. Big plus: tables are clean and not sticky, and the booths don't have cracks in the leather seats!!!

A random walk-in and sat down to a fun and easy to talk to bartender and staff. Was quickly taken care of and treated very well even on a weeknight. Having lived in Japan for so long I pulled out a cigarette and as I was lighting up was quickly but kindly informed that this was not allowed (lol sorry guys) and in no way felt embarrassed at my party foul. I will definitely be coming back now that the wife has made it Stateside and can only hope the drinks are still good and the staff keeps it real and entertaining.

One of the best breakfasts around, not to mention their other menu items. Lots of choices! Service is always great, especially when Matt is working. He remembers a bunch of regulars' orders and is always on the move to keep everyone happy. Lots of TV's and you can usually find whatever game you are interested in.

It's my first time here as a neighborhood goer and I was surprised with the crowds turnouts. In comparison to other local, neighborhood bars, its accomdating. Overall food quality and price is a 4/5. Will definitely be back! Make sure to Sing Karaoke!!! The ambience is welcoming and not overwhelming. The staff is respectful and on their toes.

Wow, what a horrible bar. Came in to get a burger to-go since this place was close to my house. The blonde haired tattooed bartender was INCREDIBLY rude. She had an attitude with me while I was placing my order, she was not a pleasant girl. She didn't offer me any water or anything to drink while I waited for my food at the bar. Now for the burger and side of chili I got, it was the topping point for me to never return to this bar. Frozen burger patty, that had absolutely NO flavor whatsoever, and the incredibly soggy ruined buns on the burger made it so un-edible, that I didn't even get through half the burger before throwing it away. The chili I got was dark in color, warm at most, and did not taste good. Only had a few bites of it. I was extremely disappointed with this place, and really bummed I wasted the money here and only having a few bites of the food. Wish I could get my money back. I will most certainly NOT return to this bar nor suggest it to anyone.

My fiance and I just moved in together to the Garden Home/Multnomah Village area. I love a good local bar but it took me about 3 months to convince him that we should go in and check it out (he was sketchy about the outside). We finally went in one morning for breakfast and so glad we did! We've been back many times since for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and as far as food goes, personally, I have been happy with my order every single time. They also make a decent bloody mary, which is a weekend breakfast staple for me! Matt, the morning guy, is so friendly and always has great service with a smile. I'm so stoked to have a local spot!

I have no idea what the place is like at night, but we saw the all-day breakfast sign and decided to give it a try. The food was great and huge portions. Hashbrowns had green onions and bell pepper in them -delicious! I love breakfast food done well. Eggs in the ham scramble were smooth and cooked perfectly as was the ham. Tasted like real butter on the toast as well.

A friend and I went here for shuffleboard and possibly a drink. We were also slightly hungry and thought 'Well the food couldn't be TOO bad right?' So we figured we would pick up some food too. I'm going to review each thing separately. Food This was where I expected shitty dive bar food, but instead got a breakfast that was better than most diner places in the area. The bacon was recognizable as bacon and was even cooked well to not be too crunchy but pretty much spot on. Eggs were good, french toast was good. All for a very reasonable price. 4/5 for food. Drinks I decided I didn't trust the bartender working here that evening, I had been watching her make drinks and didn't exactly have confidence to order something like a Manhattan or a Rusty Nails which are more among my normal drinks. So I figured I would just ask for a shot of Courvoisier, chilled. How badly can you screw that up? Right? Just pour it on some ice cubes shake and pour. Easy. I squirmed internally when I saw her make the drink. She filled a glass with crushed ice and shook it with the shot. I knew it was going to taste watered down now but that isn't such a big deal. However the drink I got wasn't just watered down, it was weaker than beer. It tasted like slightly flavored water. I really do suspect them of watering down their liquor. I work in a liquor store, I make drinks at home all the time. When I brought this up with the bartender she got amazingly defensive and suggested that next time I don't ask for anything cold, because clearly there was no way to make a drink cold other than to shake it with crush ice. Drink - 1/5 (stick to beer) Service - 2/5 Shuffleboard This table sucks. It did crazy things all night. The table has a slight pull to the outside and then shifts back in unpredictable ways. Several times a puck would completely stop and then start moving again. It was a weird table. -------------- So overall the only thing I was expecting to be bad was actually pretty good, and the things I was expecting to be good were pretty bad. I'll probably come back here though, if just for the food.

Great neighborhood bar. Kitchen stays open until they close at 2am, offering their full menu, which is cool. Surprisingly good bar food and even some healthy options as well. Breakfast served all day. Great omelets. Great prices on food, beer and drinks. I've never been disappointed in this place.

Good bloody's as well as good and cheap breakfast! I have been here a few times and the service was good. Never a wait. Clean bathrooms.

This place is comfortable yet surprisingly clean for a dive bar. Highlights include the chicken nachos, Stella on draft, Saturday karaoke, Big Buck Hunter, and a decent juke box selection. If you can get past the rough exterior, DugOut is worth checking out!

doing just a drive by, i wasn't too excited about going inside. now we are regulars there ! love the low key vibe (as opposed to the market pub across the street) food is great, cheap, great atmosphere. shuffle board, pool, pinball, TV's. we've had breakfast here a few times as well, GREAT !! would recommend this place to friends. and take out of towners there now !

This place used to be called Scotty's and it was a total dive. So much smoking a person couldn't even breathe. But it has been taken over and now is much better. The air is clean (by law of course) and the food is decent. The have special nights, like Tuesday is $1 taco night, and we go often, can't beat the price. The nice thing is they also have chicken tacos as well as beef. They have pool and shuffleboard and a great sound system and sports on TV. Definitely casual, but their salads are fresh and crisp and the hot things come out hot and the selection of food is really big. they could definitely use a better wine list - think they underestimate the wine tastes from previous visitors. We had been three times, and the fourth time, the server remember the cocktail order for my husband - now THAT is impressive. Give it a try.

I've been in this reincarnation of Scotty's quite a few times. It's close to home and has improved in terms of cleanliness and overall atmosphere. Not a bad spot to grab some beers, and relax with some friends. However I think where this bar really suffers is the service. Actually, everyone that works here is pretty great.... I hate to single anyone out but one particular bartender is the bane of this bar's existence. Its not that he's rude or makes bad drinks, no, not at all. It's just the challenge of getting a drink is what gets me frustrated. This guy never acknowledges anyone at the bar, and goes about his business until someone speaks up and bothers him for a beer. Then it's a dead eyed "pay up now, ok, bye, walk away" every single time. I get it dude, bartending is a pain in the ass. Dealing with drunks for years has made you pissed off and jaded, but Jesus, how about a "thanks" or maybe even, "would you like another?" when my glass is empty, instead of snatching it from in front of me and storming off to the dishwasher with it. I would never leave this review if it wasn't a consistent let down, but now when we walk in here and spot him behind the bar, someone says: "Oh no.... Not this guy again...." and one man's apathy becomes the joke of the evening.
