Good place for lunch, friendly staff, enjoy the food.

These are my old stomping grounds, and I believe that even seven years after I moved out of this hood, I can still attest to the lack of serious food options in the area. Oh sure Cafe du Berry exists if you like French bistro food served up with decidedly French service, Corbett Fish House still has some of the best (IMHO) fish n' chips around, and a couple of other solid spots are dotted across the John's Landing map. But the addition of good 'ol Elephant's to Corbett has brought a little more game to the area. Haven't been to an Elephant's Deli? Expect cold sandwiches, salads, hot foods like naughty casseroles, pizza, made-to-order sandwiches, soups, desserts, chocolates, wines, beverages... the options are fairly endless and the quality is good. Good enough to have me popping in when I need lunch now and here. Enough to get me to drive across town? Naw. But that said I don't hesitate to recommend it for people who need solid quick grub or have a group full of non-aligned fussy eaters, since you can make just about anyone happy here. Oh, and they serve beer, wine and I believe cocktails. A high-five to keeping the tradition of the three-martini lunch alive.

Ordered breakfast and a latte. I love this place and will definitely be back! The cooks are so welcoming and genuinely friendly people. Also the food was reasonably priced and totally delicious(I'm a very experienced and picky breakfast connoisseur). My soy latte met my Seattle standards as well!

I really like this place! There are options for everyone here, whether you are a diehard meat eater, vegan, vegitarian or gluten free. They have fresh pre-packaged grab and go and made to order options too. They do serve beer and wine. I like dropping in for just a snack to go, slice of pizza, or complete lunch/dinner.

So happy to have them in our neighborhood!! Great place for lunch or dinner, take out or eat in. Casual dining but with classy food. My favs are the Tomato Orange soup and the Chicken Curry salad. Not necessarily at the same time. All the food is fresh and tasty. They also have a great selection of wine bottles for sale as well as dips, sandwiches and salads prepackaged to go. We enjoy sitting at the bar and enjoying a drink (full bar). The staff is warm and welcoming. Nice outside seating area as well.

When living in John's Landing this small area close to the river and downtown in Portland, my hubby and I used to take walks past this building. This building was once an art studio, but now it's been entirely renovated and fashioned into an adorable, yet large deli. I'm not sure if deli is the right word either. "Why is that?" you ask. Well, it's because the menu is not just about sandwiches. They have flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, and meals to go for those on the run. I never expected for them to have lasagna or oven baked "fried" chicken or cheesy scalloped potatoes for that matter. I also came across an assortment of gourmet chocolates and unique beverages like ginger beer. There's an outdoor patio on the first floor and there's another patio up higher on the hill that's connected to the 2nd story of the building. The interior is very warm and welcoming, and the curves of the counters implore you to explore the premises. The walls are a golden yellow, and the contrasting booths and chairs are a vibrant red. The interior feels very "alive." There are several locations, and this is the only one that I've been to, but I would definitely recommend it since the food was pretty decent too. The outlay is a tad bit confusing as another reviewer mentioned since you don't know where to order or pay, but the staff is very quick to hone in on your needs and answer any questions you have.

Great brunch, nice selection of pastries, very cool decor, and friendly and helpful staff. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks, but had to get up to order food from the deli area. It was no big deal to us, but don't expect a full service meal. After all, it is a deli. I had a veggie scramble and it was served with REAL fresh fruit, not that cantaloupe/honeydew mix. Great place for a quick bite!

I love this place! I'm so happy they opened this new location. The setup is great and there's always something for everyone. Also discovered yesterday that the drinks are delicious and STRONG! Just be warned about the strength, they're so tasty that it sneaks up on you. In terms of food, I've tried a little of everything and like it all. The one definitive thing I can say - best macarons: red velvet. Mmmm. If you haven't been here yet and live in the area or are meeting someone who lives in SW, I'd definitely recommend this place!

Food is great, most of the staff are very helpful. When we waited 20 minutes for a hot lunch entree, the manager refunded our meal. We thought that was unnecessary, but he insisted. That's pretty telling, and shows how highly they prioritize customer service. We're not locals, but we'd eat here often if we were!

Stumbled upon on this place while visiting Portland and got hooked! Went back for breakfast and lunch for the next two days. Not only you can order hot food but there is variety of salads and sandwiches to go. The perfect omelet is truly perfect!

After going to a few events catered by Elephants where the food was excellent, I was super excited for this outpost to open. But it is a very middle of the road kind of place, where the food is as exciting as a 1990s laugh-track sitcom. There are various stations where you can get hot ready-made dishes and pizza made to order. Or you can find pre-made sandwiches, salads and desserts in a cooler. I've eaten all of the above, and none of it has matched the quality of the catered events' food. Service at the food stations has been a bit peculiar, even by Portland standards. All in all, it is convenient and inexpensive, but I was expecting more. On the plus side, the parking lot is pretty big.

Food goes from classic dishes to unique ones with altered sauces and prep. Place was fast and actually a little overwhelming until you understand the situation. It's a seat yourself and bus your own table place. Go to the bar for alcoholic beverage or this center refrigerated carousel. There's a brick oven or a grill and depending on what you want you have to order at either station but you pay at one central cashier then take your order number and put it on your table. Also lots of quick options for ToGo or already prepped food. Price was 22-24 for two people with a side soup and a couple sodas. Everything was fresh on my patty melt and on the pot pie enough to take home to eat again. Not the tastes you'd expect(my patty melt was anything but the usual diner patty melt) all the ingredients popped and was fresh and different and employees were all excited to work there and friendly.

This eatery is a bit tucked away but I'm glad we found it. It's a good place to stop if you want to pick something up quickly or if you're dining alone. They have a little bar that serves wine, a cold food fridge, and a hot food stand. We tried the burgers, which were delicious and came with fries cut nice and thin. The fries were definitely the best part! We noticed that Elephants has a few locations, some in downtown. If I am ever in Portland again I would stop by an Elephants for a quick lunch!

Went back the other day, but not during lunch hour. The experience was way better this time around! I got the Park Burger, Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, and a Cobb Salad to-go and was very satisfied that they got my order correct and the food was hot when I got home!!! *They close at 8 pm and hope they'll reconsider staying open later, since they have a full bar. Living in the neighborhood people talk and that's the only problem I've been hearing.

Some things are expensive, but not everything. You can get lunch for the same price as the grocery store, you just have to choose carefully. Food by the pound is going to be shockingly expensive. Burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas are a good value. Brunch is reasonably priced, and I like to get quarts of Mama Leone's soup to take home. I wish I could get a full-sized kale chicken caesar! They only have tiny prepackaged containers for nearly $5. I splurge on those!

Love it here! We are in all the time! In fact sitting at the bar now, having a glass of red wine and WISH THE CASSOULET WOULD COME BACK!

This is a good place for lunch or brunch or a take out dinner. They are expensive but can make a wonderfully light omelette. Good sandwiches and salads. Amazingly good cookies! I go frequently and will go back soon.

There is something about walking into a place with freshly painted walls, newly minted brick ovens and a full bar. I'm happy to report the new Elephants Deli in John's Landing is meeting expectations. There is a full bar, rotator taps, and brick oven pizza made fresh. The best part?! Happy Hour is 3pm-6pm!!

I love this place, a little expensive but I am guessing they pay their employees pretty well and use the best ingredients so I am ok with it. When you want fresh food quickly they can get it for you. They even helped me out once when I forget to order catering, they went above and beyond in getting some great hot food and salads ready for us to pick up even though they require 24 hour notice. They walked me through what they could and could not do last minute and helped me find a solution. They seemed to understand I was just going to walk in and clean them out if they didn't help me, and they stepped up to the plate to make sure we got some good food. Also I go there all the time for their breakfast, and the Bloody Mary or Spanish Coffee (YUM!!).

With style, presentation, food quality, service, and location, this Elephant's has it all going. I have never had a meal here that did not leave me satisfied and with the feeling that I'd had a very tasty meal. I recommend the tomato-orange soup, and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I have not had any of their coffee offerings yet, so I can't speak to those, but it's just a matter of time.

I went here with my best friend today on recommendation that this was a great place. I had to run to a meeting and went up to the counter to order with him. He ordered a latte made with Stumptown coffee. The lady at the counter turned to me and asked if I wanted anything. I said "I'm good." She proceeded to ridicule me, making fun of me that I said "I'm good." She kept this up for at least 90 seconds which became very awkward. I've never treated anyone like this in my life and don't know how this even can be respectful on a level of basic human dignity.

Cool breakfast/lunch place. The coffee/alcohol bar is awesome. Went several mornings- seems like a good place to eat out with little kids. A little expensive but everything we had was very tasty.

Stop in the local laid back bar and grill. It literally is a bar and a grill where you order at the grill. Seat yourself and clean your table and all is well. Great eats, pizza, cheese, & dessert! We were downstairs and I would recommend it. 30 minutes of free wifi so enjoy!!!!!

I would consider myself a regular now that our office sits across from Elephants on Corbett, and absolutely love this cafe. The staff is super friendly, and it's neat coming into a place that remembers who you are. Whether you need something pre-wrapped for lunch, or want to sample their hot food (I recommend mixing half Mama Leone's and half Orange Tomato Soup - sounds weird but is DIVINE) - this is a great spot. It can tend toward the spendy side, so choose wisely if you order foods from the case, but in terms of meals off the menu, it's pretty average. The only area that could use improvement is the flow of the place - which is honestly an issue for all of the Elephants locations - because they have their food cases in pockets - it can make for traffic jams while people are waiting for to-go food around others trying to find the line.

Love love love the team here--some of the best in Portland. I've moved into the neighborhood and have been visiting weekly. Staff remember me, even if they've met me only once, and they learned my special coffee order immediately. Food is typical elephants (consistently good with a few standouts--and the only reason I'm not going with 5 stars, because the staff deserve 5) and the space is comfortable.

Live in the area and just checked this place out yesterday, and I will definitely be going back! While it has plenty of outdoor seating, the inside is just as cute and charming, and the food was awesome. The dinner special for about $8 could have fed 2 people, but we ordered the mac & cheese and tomato tart as well and it was all so good and piping hot (and we have tons of leftovers). The layout can be a bit confusing, but the people are SO friendly and helpful that it really isn't much of a problem. It would also be a great place to pick up some to-go food when you don't feel like cooking. We could see that the place was closing up and wished we could stay for another drink, and they told us to hang out as long as we want - so friendly and welcoming. As for staying open later, they just need the numbers to show that it would be a good change, so my advice is to come often and let them know you would appreciate it. Also - they fresh squeeze all the juices for their cocktails. Perfection.

Came on a recommendation from usually correct Foursquare for Brunch. Place is awkward to understand and tables are just not arranged to the flow. The potatoes in the hash (frozen) were still uncooked. Quality low and price high for what you get. I feel ripped off. People were putting used silverware in the new silverware section which also awkwardly labeled. Looks like everyone working there was trying hard but it is just a miss for me. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I dont understand the hype.

Every time I go to this place I receive rude service. Every item here is extremely overpriced, and nothing stands out. Do yourself a favor and take your hard-earned money somewhere else in Johns Landing. The manager has a bad attitude and doesn't value your service. I won't be returning, ever.

I thought the coffee here was good but the service I got was pretty bad. I have a lot of dietary restrictions right now so I inquired about their milk alternatives, when I repeated the ones she told me they had I missed one from the list, with a harsh tone she added the hemp milk in to my list. I asked what kind of almond milk they used and if I could see the box and she literally looked like she rolled her eyes. When I saw it was sweetened I asked instead for a breve latte. She was like, "half and half?" Laughed and then said "ok". I felt really judged! It was super awkward and I prob won't go back.

I like the main elephant's but this one is on my avoid list. Poor service (person working the cash register sitting with her back to the register as the line keeps deepening) No idea that anyone was there. Also, avoid the 3-5 happy hour food. Went in at 4:50 and asked if this was the happy hour food. Told yes but that it was over at 5PM. Both of us looked at the 4:50PM clock on their wall. Then he said he was sorry but they just put new food out so he couldn't honor it.. Apparently not eligible or qualified for their own rules. Overall a disappointing place with disappointing people. For the price you can do much better elsewhere.

Up to 5 stars after numerous visits. Great food. Love to order a pizza from their brick oven and enjoy beer or wine at the bar. Sam is one of the best bartenders I have ever seen. Dude is a machine. Parking is not great near the front but they have good parking in back. The service is exceptional and friendly. Very happy to have Elephants in the neighborhood.

Had lunch there today. Very disappointing. Chicken enchilada casserole dry and tasteless. Had to bus own dishes and sort out recycle, trash, and dirty dishes. Then they expected a tip!! I won't be back anytime soon.

The staff are all super friendly and helpful. This is the best place to grab a super quick lunch and the food is good. If you have extra time to grab a pizza, made to order in their brick oven, or something from the grill you can grab a beer from their rotating taps while you wait. There's plenty of seating and a great spot upstairs if you want to be out of the way of the commotion on the main floor. A good fit for the neighborhood.

I had the biscuits and gravy (that came with a large dish of fruit) for $6 and a side of hash and potatoes for $5 and a $7 mimosa. The fruit was thee to take away the guilt from all the starch I was eating - and it worked. That and the orange from the mimosa. My friends ordered everything from the quiche to the eggs benedicts to lunch food items like hamburgers to salads. I hadn't realized they have a private parking lot in back and parked on the street. Not that it mattered, since I got a spot right in front. The restaurant does not take reservations and we had a group of 8, but that was okay, because they have a large banquet room upstairs and we were given an ample sized table. It was also very lovely up there, with it's balconied windows, like you were in a villa in the Italian countryside. Elephants is known for their great food, so there isn't much more I can add, except that this location is just adorable and a place you must visit for brunch...or lunch...

If I ate everything I wanted to here, I'd be the size of an elephant. Is that how this deli got its name? You can find something for everyone here at Elephants. On the go? There's plenty of packaged sandwiches, soups, and salads cooling in the fridge. Looking for a dine-in brunch (or lunch, or dinner)? Simply order from the food stations you want, grab the number on a card, pay for it, sit and wait for it to get in your belly. I guess you do have to feed yourself. Elephants won't do that for you. We ordered the pastrami reuben (which comes with a scoop of delicious potato salad and a pickle) as well as a whole fig and prosciutto pizza fresh from their brick oven. Everything was on point, and I even had enough left over for another meal! Elephants also proudly serves Stumptown coffee, so you don't have to worry about starting a morning without a good cup of joe. Can't wait to make my way through their menu, especially brunch!

I can't say enough positive things about Elephant's Deli. Every location I've ever been to blows my socks off. I am always so happy about the variety of everything I can try and sample, simply because they charge you by the pound. You can seriously find something there for everyone. I'm obsessed with being able to try a little bit of everything, and couldn't rate this place higher. It's my favorite!

Great for a wedding reception - I just attended one there and the food was terrific, and the wait staff was very good as well. Not a posh venue by any means but if you have a small'ish wedding reception of like 150 people and you don't want to drop more money than you have to, do it there. I looked at their catering menu and their prices are reasonable. I don't live in Oregon and I am not in the marriage market but I'd recommend this place. The next time I am there I would like to go there for lunch/dinner because I have not eaten there for like 12 years, before I moved to California. Elephants has been around for a very long time and while their food was never the cheapest, it never disappointed. I'm glad they found this creative way to do business, with the downstairs restaurant and upstairs reception room.

Everything that we've had has been incredible! The reubens are some of the best we've ever had. I'm currently obsessed with their fish tacos. The pizza is great, too. Comfortable, casual atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Really, really love this place!

Honestly, I want to like this place because it's so close to where I work, but the food is really average. The interior is OK, but it gets pretty loud / echoey. It's not really bad, but it's not really good. Overall, the word I'd use is bland.

Molly M.
I am so excited that I found this fabulous restaurant / take-out / wine store & bar! Every single item looked incredible. Many person were lined up for the daily special, fried chicken. They also had a pizza station. I purchased curry chicken salad, sugar snap peas with mint, a gourmet sandwich and salad. Nice selected of wines at retail (not restaurant) prices. They'll uncork the wine and serve it to you at their bar! Only a tiny complaint. Their delve serve bakery area mislabeled some items, so I didn't get what I meant to get.

I love Elephants, in all their incarnations. So, I decided to try their newest location, Elephants On Corbett. I headed over this morning, a Sunday, and found the place almost empty. Pretty unbelievable, given how good the food is. The space is open and airy. Comfortable and clean. The staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. They got us spoons for our hot chocolate (with lots of whipped cream and chocolate sauce...yum!) when we asked where the spoons were. They brought 2 extra plates when we asked for one (since we split everything between us). We ordered the Dutch Baby and the Veggie Hash. The Dutch Baby was really good. Covered with Fresh Fruit (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries...and this is in January!) and with a squeeze of lemon, this Dutch Baby was big and delicious. The Veggie Hash was just all right. They put scrambled eggs on top, but it would have been better with a nice runny poached one instead. That would have given them the coveted 5 stars.

As with the other elephants it is a bit pricey for lunch or breakfast. TONS of options. The staff here is pretty cool and they handle the lunch rush ok but there is definitely a line. good for both sit down as well as a grab and go lunch.

Chris O.
This place blew me away, it's huge and well thought out for starters. They also have a very large selection of all sorts of food from pizzas to sandwiches to grilled items and comfort style home cooked food. Even better they offer a grass fed burger with fries for like $7 and it's tasty! It gets pretty packed at times so try to eat of hours and it'll be faster for you, or just be patient. I'll be eating here a lot, enjoying the tasty food and outdoor seating with my dog.

No question, I do like their location here in John's Landing. Was recently in that zip code knocking out a week's worth of mandatory job-training type classes and had already had my fill of the nearby Honeybaked Ham (for the first time in about 30 years). So via multiple recommends, decided to check out Ele's deli. It's an attractive, bustling, high-energy edifice, no question (as in, high human excitement vibe, not high carbon footprint ---- at least, not that I'm aware of...) I expected it to be spendy, and it was. I expected a curiously enthused brunch crowd, and sure enough, they were there w/bells on. I didn't have the brunch, but it's ala carte, which to me takes most of the fun outta brunch. My glutton-boy instincts, along with years of reinforcement from the Red Lion and Shenanigan's brunch days leave me resolute on this point: Paying significantly MORE, for significantly LESS food, is NOT a good tradeoff, sorry! You're not gonna convince me otherwise, no matter how good the tofu scramble or the eggplant ala ciabatta might be. I did particularly like the orange/tomato soup @ Ele's, as well as their cream o' mushroom w/wild rice. But again, I'd like it that much more In the lower quality, "slightly" higher volume buffet format. I do recognize that especially in areas like John's Landing, the demographic is older, well-heeled, and particularly persnickety about things like brunch, and are only to happy to put their moolah where their snooty patooties be dwellin, capisce? That means I'm not gonna win this argument with this crowd, in this locale, so that means, If I wanna properly enjoy brunch as I know how it OUGHT to be done, I'm simply gonna have to take my bid-ness elsewhere. And y'know what? I can live with that. My favourite eatery in John's Landing remains, unequivocally Bamboo Grove. Sure you pay a lot there, too, but at least there's all the fabulous leftovers to look forward to. In spite of all that's been said, I would go back to Elephants on Corbett and spend money trying out other menu items in the future----- but I'd look for groupon or dates that actually wanted to pay for me for a change, before heading back in that direction....

Two of us both had the Park burger yesterday. The patty was just like the kind you buy at the store that are pre-shaped and frozen; kind of gray in color and almost no flavor at all. The "sauce" looked like plain old mayo. The shoestring fries were just...blah. The meal was not filling, the presentation was lacking, the ambience was mediocre. Because of the "Elephants" reputation, (think -- upscale) we expected so much more. We were both starved so we ate it all, but wish we had gone to Burger King instead of paying $8 each for such a disappointing meal. The set up is weird, too, with how the tables are situated, then you have this menu here, that menu there, we're only serving this side for brunch...pay over there...get your own utensils, then bus your own table. Plus, we grabbed a table after a group left but nobody came to wipe it down. We might go back in the summer, to have ice tea and sit outside, but we won't go for a meal.

I am so happy that Elephant's opened their location near my office. I have frequented their other locations for years and was thrilled when I learned that my dismal choice of restaurants in John's Landing was coming to an end. I casually dine out on an almost daily basis and will quickly abandon any option that fails to satisfy in quality or more importantly, customer service. The gang at the Corbett location treat me as if if I am their only customer (and they even call me by my name!) I am a regular and, a HUGE fan. Glad to have you in the neighborhood!

Delicious vegan black bean burgers with gluten free buns. And really strong customer service - one cashier in particular really made my day.

It's not the best food I've ever had, but I'm not going to complain about it. This neighborhood desperately needed another food option (Ross Island Grocery gets old fast) and Elephants Deli fits in perfectly. Tons of food to choose from, decently priced. I will definitely be going here often.

I go here mainly in the mornings for coffee and a quick bite to eat. Staff is always friendly and food is consistently good. I'm glad they opened this location on Corbett, it's super convenient for me.
We got stuck in traffic towards Portland so we took the exit for some food and found by accident this really nice place that just opened. Really nice setting, good atmosphere and excellent food choices. Our young kids loved the food and so did we!

Just a really awkward place. My boyfriend and I went for the first time since we live right down the street. Looked super cool when we walked in! But then it got confusing... you have to order different menu items at different counters, and none of the staff was very helpful when it came to that. We tried ordering at every counter and ended up having to order separately. How are you supposed to know where the heck to order your food?! The employees all acted like we were clueless for not knowing our way around this puzzle of a place. Bad first impression. Food was pretty expensive considering the quality. I got the reuben, which was greasy & soggy paired with some mediocre potato salad. My guy got the pulled pork, which was actually kinda good but dry. No bbq sauce anywhere in sight to improve the situation. I don't know. Whole experience just made us uncomfortable. Don't think we'll go back.

Great to have a new place in the neighborhood, but the staff tends to start closing up early. By 7:30pm many hot food items are no longer available. We were directed to the pre-made cold sandwiches instead. We were excited to try the artisan style pizza, but the flavor was off both times. They need to spend some time sourcing better quality ingredients. The staff needs to understand that closing time is not an hour early.

We typically go on the weekends for breakfast. Great, friendly service and good solid food. A few items are a bit pricey but all in all a good solid choice.

I go here almost weekly, the quality of the food is definitely a welcomed change in this neighborhood. The salmon is just ridiculously delicious but the best part are the desserts! Great place to grab a glass of wine, sit outside and enjoy a good meal! If the layout confuses you the staff has all been incredibly friendly and will be sure to help you out!

I have worked in the John's Landing area for over 5 years now. I am glad that Elephant's on Corbett is now open and I can enjoy some good food from a local merchant. The food here is fresh and flavorful. The salads are tasty, fresh and attractive, the sandwiches are satisfying and the dessert treats are delicious. While the floor plan doesn't always facilitate easy movement through the store, it can be congested during the lunch hour, I am always greeted warmly by the staff who has taken the time to learn my name. I am a regular and proud of it!

As usual, great soups, and friendly service. Mix up some Mama Leone's and Tomato Orange for a great treat. Smaller than the Northwest location; bigger than the downtown place.

Very enjoyable, went for an evening meal and loved the good food and drinks. We had the Ruben, the Shepard pie and the mahi mahi fish and chips. Very good and served quickly but I expect lunch would be pretty hectic. I recommend the place.

(4)Dave T.
(5)Elie J.

(4)Mark S.
(4)Marilyn S.
(4)Eric K.
Love it here! We are in all the time! In fact sitting at the bar now, having a glass of red wine and WISH THE CASSOULET WOULD COME BACK!
(5)Ed L.
This is a good place for lunch or brunch or a take out dinner. They are expensive but can make a wonderfully light omelette. Good sandwiches and salads. Amazingly good cookies! I go frequently and will go back soon.
(4)Jenni D.
(5)Sandy W.
(4)Arthur B.
(5)Alexander A.
(1)Colby C.
Cool breakfast/lunch place. The coffee/alcohol bar is awesome. Went several mornings- seems like a good place to eat out with little kids. A little expensive but everything we had was very tasty.
(4)Mason B.
(4)Dieter D.
Great food, we went here for lunch and just loved the vibe. Super friendly staff, great interior and awesome food: what else do you want on a Sunday morning.
(5)Rosalea P.
(5)Rick H.
(4)Lisa B.

(2)Mike R.
Every time I go to this place I receive rude service. Every item here is extremely overpriced, and nothing stands out. Do yourself a favor and take your hard-earned money somewhere else in Johns Landing. The manager has a bad attitude and doesn't value your service. I won't be returning, ever.
(1)Jessica S.
(2)Ray D.
(1)Andy B.
(5)Gloria R.
Had lunch there today. Very disappointing. Chicken enchilada casserole dry and tasteless. Had to bus own dishes and sort out recycle, trash, and dirty dishes. Then they expected a tip!! I won't be back anytime soon.
(1)Josh A.
(5)Laura C.
(4)Maggie W.
(3)Ophelia Y.
(5)Al T.
(5)Sarah J.
Everything that we've had has been incredible! The reubens are some of the best we've ever had. I'm currently obsessed with their fish tacos. The pizza is great, too. Comfortable, casual atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Really, really love this place!
(5)William W.
Honestly, I want to like this place because it's so close to where I work, but the food is really average. The interior is OK, but it gets pretty loud / echoey. It's not really bad, but it's not really good. Overall, the word I'd use is bland.
(3)Molly M.
(4)Diane C.
(4)Chris O.
As with the other elephants it is a bit pricey for lunch or breakfast. TONS of options. The staff here is pretty cool and they handle the lunch rush ok but there is definitely a line. good for both sit down as well as a grab and go lunch.
(4)Chris O.
(5)Holy-foo' X.
(3)Rhonda D.
(1)George M.
(5)Maria L.
Delicious vegan black bean burgers with gluten free buns. And really strong customer service - one cashier in particular really made my day.
(5)Marie H.
It's not the best food I've ever had, but I'm not going to complain about it. This neighborhood desperately needed another food option (Ross Island Grocery gets old fast) and Elephants Deli fits in perfectly. Tons of food to choose from, decently priced. I will definitely be going here often.
(4)Darren D.
I go here mainly in the mornings for coffee and a quick bite to eat. Staff is always friendly and food is consistently good. I'm glad they opened this location on Corbett, it's super convenient for me.
(5)Asrael C.
I come to Johns Landing regularly so it is nice to be able to choose between Starbucks, the JoLa Café and now Elephants Delicatessen. The deli carries hot food, pre-made sandwiches and salads, French macarons and Canadian chocolate (the only place in the U.S. we've found to carry Roger's). The staff are friendly and obliging and the wi-fi is very decent. Get a vanilla macaron and eat it with a caffé mocha - it's awesome.
(4)Cas V.
We got stuck in traffic towards Portland so we took the exit for some food and found by accident this really nice place that just opened. Really nice setting, good atmosphere and excellent food choices. Our young kids loved the food and so did we!
(4)Kay C.
(2)Brandon W.
Fish tacos were really good!!
(5)Doug C.
(3)Steve K.
We typically go on the weekends for breakfast. Great, friendly service and good solid food. A few items are a bit pricey but all in all a good solid choice.
(4)Chandler L.
(5)Mary M.
(4)Andy L.
As usual, great soups, and friendly service. Mix up some Mama Leone's and Tomato Orange for a great treat. Smaller than the Northwest location; bigger than the downtown place.
(4)Adrian F.
Very enjoyable, went for an evening meal and loved the good food and drinks. We had the Ruben, the Shepard pie and the mahi mahi fish and chips. Very good and served quickly but I expect lunch would be pretty hectic. I recommend the place.
