Based on the previous reviews, I must have gotten lucky. I am staying at a hotel a block away and walked over for a bite before heading out downtown. I ordered Mongolian Beef and my friend had the Black and White Mushroom Chicken. I do have to say, it is a little unprofessional for them to bring his food out 10 minutes before mine, though I was working on a cup of Hot & Sour soup. I asked that they get mine to go since he had already finished the 1/4 of the very large portion he was prepared to eat. My friend loved the chicken and fried rice. I ate mine just a few minutes ago when I got back to the hotel. I asked for my Mongolian Beef spicy, and they somewhat accomplished that, but I otherwise thought it was good. I've had better, but for the enormous portion and the cheap price (compared to what I have paid for much less in Tacoma, WA), I was satisfied.

the food was bland, had to add soy sauce to be able to swallow. we order the salt and pepper shrimp and the (something) beef that the owner convinced me they were very good ($13.95 and $12.95 dinner special). what a disappointment. we ordered 4 entrees to go and they packed two into one box (not much food for the price). Also, they threw in the unwrapped fortune cookies into the grocery bag that hold the rest of the food. By the time we get food to the hotel, the cookies were soaked with spillage. this is to show you how cheap they are (owners). About $40 worth of order fit into two boxes. Hardly any taste and low quality. BTW, we went to this restaurant because we saw a 4 stars rating on another website...must have been rated by their relatives.. not recommended. if you don't believe my rating, notice that the place is empty when you walk in. you then should turn around and run

This was close to the hotel, so I thought I'd give it a try. I got the #5 combo knowing it would be way too much food, but work was paying so... Decent fried rice, pretty good fried shrimp, but those were the 2 least oily things. The chow mein (soft noodles) had enough oil to lube a bike chain, and the only reason the oil from the sweet and sour pork wasn't so bad was because all I could taste was garlic. To top it all off they tried to charge me again when my to go order was ready (I paid when I ordered - wondered why the lady put a check on the table I was waiting at). Very poor English from the 2 I dealt with, so be ready to point at menus and such. Wish I'd gone to the restaurant next door...

what other reviews said are true: 1. please is empty on a Friday night at 7pm! but all restaurants around it were also empty so might be the area. 2. Food cones out quickly but of course look at number 1 and you will know why. 3. wait staff friendly? well yes and no depends on whom you talk to but overall not bad. 4. food is just like any other fake Chinese restaurants out there. not good not bad.

Was it write home spectacular? No. Will I go again? Absolutely. I had the chicken with spicy garlic sauce. The sauce was not spicy to me, but it was quite tasty. I could have done with more garlic too, but I adore garlic and add it to almost everything. My mom had the mooshu chicken. The pancakes with it were so thin and soft. The plum sauce was pretty good too. I will be trying other dishes to try and get a full and better opinion of their food. I do think they are better than several of the Chinese food places that I have tried in the Portland/Vancouver area. Is it comparable to the great asian eateries that I went to in LA, no. In that regard, not many place can compare, except maybe Chinatown in New York.

Bland. Most tasteless chinese food I've ever tasted. Fried rice was just that- fried rice w a small dash of eggs and no veggies! Thought I might keep leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow but tossing it at three bites in.

Food was just okay. Sweet and sour chicken kind of bland, fried rice was kind of bland.

I'd give this place no stars if I could. The food was terrible. I have never seen such a poor excuse for Chinese food. Everything was tasteless. Pretty sure the cashier tried stealing my credit card info, I ordered over the phone & she told me she needed my billing address and zip code. I told her that seemed like a little too much to give just to order Chinese food & she said her manager required it. As soon as I said I would just cancel my order she said she'd do it "just this one time". This place just isn't worth the money. They didn't even give us forks or napkins with our food, and the fortune cookies they gave us weren't in a wrapper. This is the most dissatisfied I have ever been with any take out place.

Had lunch here with my wonderful fiancé. I had general tso chicken, she had sweet and sour bean turd. I loved mine and she liked hers. Service was great and it seemed clean. Plus they had some kind of creepy slot machine room in the back. Cool.

How many times have I told myself not to come here again. I seem not to learn my lesson. Maybe yelping it will help remind me about not coming here anymore. First bad experience was having a staple in my food. Second experience was having hair in my food. I spoke with the staff in both situations. I asked if they wore a hairnet while cooking food & asked them to be extra careful about not including inedible objects and supposed dangerous things like staples. They acknowledged their faults, apologized and didn't charge us for the food. So I skipped several months before coming back thinking that I should give them another chance. No one is perfect, right? At least the food was pretty tasty. So here I was, several months later, and ordered a house special tofu (fried tofu and stir fried veggies) for lunch. They failed miserably on this dish. This should be very straightforward since it's a vegetarian dish. All they had to do was to cook the tofu perfectly. Unfortunately, they served me overfried old tofu. I felt like I was eating rubber. I didn't expect the dish to be extremely flavorful because it was supposed to be a vegetarian dish. But not cooking the tofu right was unforgivable. So that's sayonara for me. Third time wasn't a charm.

China Wok does not earn the Star! CALL THE HEALTH DEPT. Flew in exhausted and hungry and wanted food delivery so I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and steamed rice. I was looking forward to spicy, red sauce, fresh vegetables and fresh chicken. What I got was NO spice, vegetables so old it should have been discarded as one of the water chestnuts had black spots and the chicken tasted gamey. Called to complain and was told the sauce comes plain brown and should have had red chilies. Wrong. I am Asian. I prepare it myself at home. Even the one packet of soy sauce had no salt. The meal was bland and very scary!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! OR RISK FOOD POISONING!!!!!!

Perfectly decent Americanized Chinese food. This place is near my office so due to convenient placement, I tried it. Their hot and sour soup was good, not the best I've had but good. Pork fried rice, a tad bland but tasty with the addition of some soy sauce. I haven't personally tried them but a coworker told me the sauteed green beans are delicious. The waitress and other lady behind the counter were both quite nice, also. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this restaurant, but since I work in the area, it's a perfectly fine lunch option when I'm feeling like some good old-fashioned American-Chinese food.

Pretty gross Chinese food. I'm not a food snob by any means. I love American-style Chinese food, Chinese food from the Safeway deli, whatever - but this place is just bad. The meat looks weird, everything is over-sauced while at the same time being bland. Don't know how they manage that. I'd highly recommend going somewhere else. I work near by and have tried it a few times over the years and it is always bad.

Stuck at an airport hotel, I went online looking for delivery places and couldn't locate anything so I called the front desk. China Wok was my only delivery option. Not wanting to walk next door to the hotel with a restaurant I came to Yelp to investigate this location. Needless to say, I was worried after reading the reviews but what the heck, felt adventurous and ordered for delivery anyway. The gal who answered the phone was probably the owner, and had difficulty understanding English. No big deal, we worked through it. Since I couldn't find a menu online I took a stab at "Do you have Mongolian Chicken" since I really love the Mongolian dishes with all the onions. She told me they did. I added a small portion of fried rice for $1.75 and because I felt I needed to make it worth their while, I added an order of BBQ Pork Loin appetizer. The delivery "Old Man" looked as if he lives out in the alley behind the restaurant. No, really!! They should hose him off a little before sending him out to make deliveries. Not very appetizing at all. I opened the bag and found my order to be accurate along with a little surprise.... the white rice came along with the fried rice. I thought I had paid for an upgrade, not an additional order. They included a couple of paper plates and plastic wear which I was wondering if they'd throw in. Opening the entree, I knew I had ordered WAY too much food. At least 25 pieces of BBQ Pork pieces (seems like you usually get 12 at most places) along with hearty entree, fried rice, and white rice. They added the hot mustard I love to dip the pork in along with sweet and sour sauce but no sesame seeds. For $21.00 delivered, I had enough food for three grown men. SERIOUSLY! I gorged myself as I was very hungry and didn't get through a third of the food. The Fried Rice was excellent. I didn't touch the white sticky rice but loved my Mongolian Chicken. Not spicy like I'm used to but plenty of white onions and scallion mixed with the chicken. The BBQ Pork was moist and chewy. It was not "day old dry" hunks of meat. Other than the delivery "bum", a very good experience... oh, and NO HEARTBURN!!

Didn't have high expectations but it was the only thing that delivered to our hotel except bad pizza. Was really pleasantly surprised. Not the best in the world, but good Chinese/American food. Not overly greasy like I've come to expect from most Chinese food. Good crab puffs, good sweet and sour chicken, and decent egg drop soup. My husband said the pork chow mein noodles actually reminded him of when he was living in China.

Was visiting from out of town and walked over to this little strip mall for lunch. I assumed (wrongly) that this was a panda express type Chinese fast food joint. But I was happy to be wrong. It's a full service restaurant. I had the beef and broccoli and the sweet and sour pork. Fast service, good food and the price was in line. I'd definatly come back if I find myself in the area again.

Good Chinese food at a decent price! I generally base good Chinese food based on if it is a- not salty and b- doesn't make me feel bloated and crappy (likely related I am sure). I had a dinner special with sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, also got an order of crab rangoons! The rice was very moist not at all dry and the sweet and sour chicken was done just right, the way I like it! Had a little kick but not too much that the sweet goes away! The rangoons were great, not overpowering either way, not overly seafoody, fried to perfection and just overall VERY good! Would definitely give this place another shot for a five star!

Well, admittedly we ate here at the end of a looong drive, BUT... Waitstaff? Quick, professional, friendly. Menu? Wide variety. Beer? Why, they featured a locally (Oly, WA) brewed organic amber ale poured into a frosty mug! Chow? Honestly, it wasn't unique, it wasn't outstanding-it was GOOD. If one expects anything more from a place with a pretty generic name near an airport and various hotels, one is expecting too much! It was close and yummy, and we were happy to eat there instead of another on-the-road fast food meal. Complaints? Only that the milk (which we were stoked they had, for the kids) was nonfat-gross! And a coupla the pork pieces were a bit fatty, otherwise, worth a visit!

This place can be summed up in one word: bland. Every entree tasted exactly the same, and there was no flavor whatsoever. Even so, I gave it the additional star for being clean with a polite waitstaff and fast kitchen. Avoid if you possibly can, this place leaves much to be desired.

I was staying across the street at the Fairfield Hotel, and the front desk directed me here. I walked into the empty place around 5pm on a Wednesday. Picked Spicy Garlic Shrimp ("with Vegetables" the menu informed) and placed my order to go. The Lady asked me a couple minutes later if I wanted rice, and I asked for brown rice, which they did not have, and she offered fried rice for an additional charge (after I paid? shouldn't they tell you that before you pay?). In literally about 5 minutes or less, my food was ready. Sorta weird, considering that I was the only customer in the place, was it just re-heated or something? I asked the woman for a cup of water, and she starts to get a glass, as if I was eating my food there, even though I was holding it in a bag she just handed me. I ask for water to take with me. She asks if I want a coke. I say no, I just want some water. She says they do not have to-go cups. I point at the giant stack of to-go paper cups behind her and ask if I can use one of those. She says the cups are an extra charge. I wonder why she didn't inform me/or charge me of that when I said 'water' in reply to what I wanted to drink as she had taken my order. But Ok. I'll go to my hotel and eat. Or not. I got the food back, opened it, and took a bite. It was completely bland, not garlicky, not spicy, just runny reddish sauce with about a pound of onions and shrimp. Where's the Vegetables? It must have been that one carrot slice on the top when I had opened it. The girl at the front desk of the hotel offered to call the place for a refund when she saw me going back out the hotel door to hit up Burger King. She called the place, and they refused to refund the food "Despite it being bad?" as she said.

My friend loved the chicken and fried rice. the food was bland, had to add soy sauce to be able to swallow. we order the salt and pepper shrimp and the (something) beef that the owner convinced me they were very good ($13.95 and $12.95 dinner special). what a disappointment. we ordered 4 entrees to go and they packed two into one box (not much food for the price).

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
