First time I went was last winter. It was empty but the server was great and the chilaquiles were pretty good. I saw the sign saying that they have Latin dancing on the weekends and was intrigued. I went again about two weekends ago with a girlfriend for Cuban salsa night. It was a little early for the crowd to be coming in yet, so we went to the bar to order a drink. I asked for menu and they told us they didn't have one. So my friend and I talked about what we should get that wouldn't make her feel horrible the next day since she had to work. The bartender then offered to make her a "Cuban mojoito" and so I asked for the same. After giving my friend her drink she reassured her that she made it pretty weak...which was not what she had asked for. When going to pay I asked the bartender how much for the drinks and she seemed to make up off the top of her head that each drink was $9. Needless to say I was shocked but we didn't go for the drink we went for the dancing. The dj was great and once a few people showed up, so was the dancing. Then my girlfriend went to go ask for a glass of water and the bartender tried to tell her that they don't offer water at this establishment, that she needed to purchase a bottle of water... So disappointing to see a place with some real potential hire poor staff and charge ridiculous prices for weak drinks. The dj can bring a crowd but it's the establishment that will keep people coming back or from never returning.

They keep changing the name. Waitress came back twice asking what it was that I wanted. I live within two blocks of this place. It was amazing three years ago. When I came in April it was still pretty good. Now the menu is way shorter. Hhhmmm.... Hope it still tastes good. Will find out when I get my food.

When I came in, the "host" was siting down at a table with two women. He was not in uniform and I had to ask if he worked there and if they were open because he looked shocked that someone came in. Instead of leading me to a table he told me to sit down, and then once the menu came I went searching for the Cuban half as their new sign says "Cuban Mexican" and I couldn't find it. Last time I was here was a year ago and it looks the same. Dead and not much variety on the menu if you don't eat seafood. Once the waitress came over I asked her about the "Combination" and how many items you could select and she didn't know. Once she came back she seemed to think you could order 3. I'm sitting here waiting for the food, but more eager to see the bill and wonder how much they end up charging me.

Tasty, pretty fresh, good service, good value, clean & decent environment. It doesn't look like it from the outside! But, once you get inside you feel like you are not on the scuzzy corner of 122nd & Market. We've had the special ceviche tostada with shrimp, squid, and fish. Camarones with chilies & garlic butter sauce (can't remember the name), the whole crab with garlic butter & rice, and fish tacos. All were very tasty. Each comes with beans & rice, except the crab. They are pretty decent, better than your average mexi restaurant. Everything we have had is super tasty, the ceviche is spot on. The sangria and michelada's are super tasty! The service is great, quick, friendly. We are definitely going to return.

Okay so here's the thing, we love, loved this place, until tonight. I have always enjoyed the giant like of crab legs I get for under 13- keep in mind, as I learned tonight, pre frozen. My boyfriend ordered a seafood soup that had zero flavor, (we work in seafood so know it doesn't take more than simple to make it right)- changed it up for a salmon plate with rice n beans, salmon overdone and over froze. Could taste the freezer burn. When approached service about it, apparently the "rule " is to comp the cheaper meal no matter which you disliked more. To boot, before our food had gotten to our table another couple was having a hard time redeeming th eir restaurant.com , having currently working with rr.com as well, the"server" (whom is there more often than not) kept claiming that he could not take it unless out was printed out, shrugs shoulders " I'm only the server, you can call my manager tmrw" hand then an American express check book, and then don't even except American express. (Again, keep in mind, mobile app was valid and worth 15$, confirmation number and able to activate, in line and on line) No apologies, offers, I'm not stressed on that bit, but as a server I wouldn't be able to let someone leave really knowing they are going to McDonald's after bc I couldn't make them happy in any way. So if you want questionable seafood, incompetent service, found it. I really liked this place, when we were the only table, literally, and he did know from me before, knows that we are 'regulars' , had it out rotation, but after what wet learned about the food; how someone who is there 5+ days a week lacks in everyday knowledge of operations...eh he told me to. Calling the manager. Never more than three tables in occupied, usually barren, makes more since now

Best Shrimp Ceviche in Town! We went on a Friday night and not too many people in the restaurant. The waitress was super friendly and the service was pretty quick. We has the crab in garlic sauce. Be prepared to get your hand messy! It was tasty. We also tried the crab and shrimp soup and fish tacos. Definitely worth going back!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
