Quick and easy place we use for catering at work! But lately the service has been lacking. They are constantly getting wrong orders dropped off and I've had two mixed up orders! Even my coworker has had one too and refuses to order from here anymore. Three stars for the great food and location but that's it.

The snickerdoodle cookie is the BEST, I would eat them Cookie Monster style until I was sick if I could. I always have the chocolate chip cookie swapped with it. In all reality, all of their cookies are amazing!! The sandwiches are great as well. They are fresh tasting and a nice quick fix. Nothing on the menu is overly inventive, but I think the simplicity makes this sandwich shop work. I have always been pleased with the quality of food and customer service delivered. Only selfish desire would be for them to stay open later.

I come here a few times over a quarter. The sandwiches are made with great precision, but lunch here costs more than I can pay daily. The cookies are really great too. Service is not speedy. They are relaxed about making your sandwich. I wouldn't say it is so slow that it is a complaint but I don't come here when I am in a huge hurry. Selection is also limited for those of you that like a lot of options.

Paradise Bakery is one of my favorite places to have lunch. They have some of the best sandwiches around and the best cookies. They have a variety of both to choose from. For sandwiches, the paradise club is my favorite. It is served on a croissant with turkey, bacon, ham, tomato, lettuce and a sweet dijon mayo. The California turkey is also delicious and has a creamy pesto mayo on it. Paradise Bakery makes their own cookies and they are the best around. Whenever I get some they fresh and if you are lucky to be there after a batch comes out then you get them warm. The chocolate chip coconut and the peanut butter and amazing. You can also get their "chippers" which are mini cookies and they come in a cute little box! Besides sandwiches you can get soup or choose from a variety of salads. The Paradise pasta salad is yummy! The individual sandwiches are a little pricey, but are good size. I like to get the half sandwich and a small salad for $7. They do have a daily special , that changes every day, with a sandwich, chips and a drink. The best part about getting a lunch is a cookie comes with the special or any sandwich that you order. The best time to visit the 3rd ave location is before noon or later in the day since it gets busy around noon. The staff is helpful though and they try to keep the line moving as fast as possible.

Cookies! The Lemon sugar cookie is oh so much my favorite. And when I get them little chippers, I get to share the baked love. The Steel bridge is my sandwich of choice.. but honestly, it's all about the cookie here. I need to stay away, but I can't. Damn you cookie!

The salads and sandwiches are very good....made with care right in front of you. Servers can have the Portland laizze faire attitude, but no worries.

If I'm shopping and decide to stay at the mall to eat, I almost always go here. The food is fresh, delicious, and not ever greasy. The cookies are great too!

So good. Fresh baked cookies and bread. Delicious soup and sandwiches. Just wish they were open on the weekends.

The 5 stars are specifically for their chocolate chip cookies and their butter croissants. Best in town. I consider myself a baker and have tinkered around to get my chocolate chip cookies to come somewhat close to theirs, but not a chance. Whatever they put in it, I wish I had some of it. They are the best! I strictly go there for those cookies and the croissants, which are the perfect combination of fluffy, tender and crunchy (yes, all in one).

My cubicle buddy and a lot of the other ladies in the office are fans of their cookies. For a chain their baked goods are pretty solid. I have to admit their soft chocolate chip cookie can sure put a smile on my face, and they don't skimp on the chocolate chips. The snickerdoodles aren't bad either. And I've picked up a decent sandwich here too (hey it's not all about sugar). Pretty sweet.

"Sometimes me think what is love, and then me think love is what last cookie is for. Me give up the last cookie for you." ~Cookie Monster~ Obviously Cookie Monster has never tried the cookies at Paradise Bakery! No amount of love would prompt me to give away one of these little bites of perfection. Grab a mix 'n' match sampling of the chippers to be transported directly to cookie heaven.

Turkey Bacon sandwich was excellent. Just like Mom would make. Bread was very fresh and tasty. The cup of tomato Gorgonzola soup was good, but a bit pricey at $4.05 for the rather small portion.

Cookies. Oh, and sandwiches, and soup. They get four stars for the cookie, though. This Paradise is a downtown lunch stop that is always packed to the gills with hungry downtown workers, come noonish. A long line out the door is guaranteed. The sandwich bread is fresh and tasty (as it should be, they call themselves a bakery), and in my opinion this alone gives their sandwiches an added star from most of the deli choices in the area. I love their tuna salad sandwich. The soup is pretty good, and steaming hot for sure. The salads are pretty tasty, too, although sometimes the ceasar is drowning---and I mean drowning, in salad dressing. The service is generally pretty slow, or at least it seems that way because I am starving and hate waiting in that long cramped line. The servers are sometimes friendly, but usually seem harried and sometimes surly. Thier debit card machine seems to go on the fritz sometimes, so bring cash just in case. Anyway, I don't come here for the service or the ambiance (a small place, with tables packed in--hungry vultures standing all around eyeing your spot to see if you will leave soon), I come here to get a sandwich to go, washed down with an awesome cookie if I am feeling indulgent that day...

Chocolate chip cookie paradise Next time you're at Lloyd Center and are exhausted from shopping and need a sugar lift, go to Paradise Bakery & Caf for some chocolate chips cookies. These cookies are to die for and in my opinion much better than the chain Mrs. Fields. They're not as rich and buttery and are cheaper. I especially love the chocolate chip and coconut ones. The caf also serves up some pretty good sandwich and salad combos, which you can watch them make fresh. Tip: If you stop in one hour before closing, you can get three cookies for the price of four. Dangerous I know but oh so good.

This place was pretty reasonable for a lunch spot. Good sandwiches and tasty array of cookies.

My first word was "cookie". It's true, ask anyone who was there. Therefore, I should know cookies. Luckily, I do appreciate them to their fullest, and I would shave my dog's eyebrows to prove it. The chocolate chippies are nearly as good as grandma used to make, that is before we found out she was actually grandpa . The sandwiches are fine, and the soda is cold. Don't be afraid to eat here.

I like the sandwiches, soups, muffins, and pastries, but really the best thing here is their cookies. I am picky about my cookies, they have to have a very specific texture and not over or undercooked...so um medium rare? Paradise has the recipe down. My favorite one are the coconut chocolate ship, lemon, white chocolate macadamia nut, chippers, chocolate chip....or hell their all good.

There are not many options for lunch near my offices -- so Paradise seems to be a place we hit a lot. I would say they are ... ok. They have a good selection of sandwiches for meat eaters -- but only one for veggies. I like them fine ... but am not a fan of paying $7 for a sandwich (or soup and 1/2 sandwich) ... even if I do get a free cookie. OH and they push the cookies on you ... it's not even an option. It's just like ... crack. humph ... I want a better deli.

Most dissapointing soup ever! Tried the garden vegetable soup today, it was absolutely disgusting...no flavor, just a bunch of canned mushrooms and other boiled, canned veggies. Yuk, I threw it out. half sandwich was fine, their chicken walnut is my standard. The cookie was so-so, have definitley had better. Not sure if they're having an off day or what but I'm not heading back any time soon.

I've got to give this place 4 stars just for their chocolate chip cookies...so good, and not a bad price. 2 for $1.00. I will say that I felt a little jipped with how large the price was on my small caesar salad, but the cookies made me forget anything else I wouldn't like about this place. Enough said.

Try the soup and sandwich combo for a mixed lunch. The soup is always hot and great. The sandwiches can be a bit plain but the cookies are to die for. You get one free cookie with a lunch combo and I wouldn't recommend getting any extra as one is defiantly enough. Seating is limited at lunch time so expect to wait or take your lunch out.

Good Lord! What is it about these cookies? I love this place. I've had several of their sandwiches and salads and they're decent. Not fantastic but something I'm always quite all right with eating. However, the cookies?? I have NO desire to know the nutrition facts in these as I'm sure it's well over the daily total fat someone should consume. But the chewy, amazing, almost-not-cooked all the way through consistency is absolutely amazing. It's not uncommon for me to eat just a PB sugar and chocolate chip cookie for lunch.

Very good cookies that are always moist and as big as your fist. Only downside: their snickerdoodles are really glorified sugar cookies - you need cream of tartar to make it bona fide.

Great place to get something healthy to eat. Their sandwiches and salads are excellent. Very friendly staff. I really enjoying eating there for lunch.

I am updating my review. i ordered sandwich and soup combo last time, and it wasnt good. Today I ordered soup and salad combo which comes with a roll of bread. The Caesar salad was tasty , and the tomato gorgonzola was good as last time. For 8 bucks, the food surpasses the price. Hence 4 stars. I will visit again.

Bridge City is a very quaint and homey lunch/breakfast spot downtown. I've had their cookies at numerous office celebrations, and I've had a sandwich/salad there. The atmosphere here is pretty much your basic office lunch place. There are a bunch of tables and chairs available for eating-in. But if it's nice out, I would definitely recommend eating outside at one of the nearby park areas, rather than eating inside the restaurant. This place gets really busy during the lunch hour so beware. Though the line goes quick, there are big crowds with limited seating. The people who work here are really nice, and the best part about eating here, would have to be the sample cookies that they supply you with while you wait in line for your sandwich. This place just has loads of samples during the busy hours. My favorite cookie there is the coconut/chocolate, but I know some people who stand by the peanut butter. Also, you can buy six small cookies for about $1.50, which is pretty awesome. The only time I've eaten there for lunch, with a co-worker, I had a turkey sandwich with a side salad, which was ok. It was definitely nothing amazing, and I'm pretty sure I make better turkey sandwiches at home. This is no Bunk Sandwiches or Devil's Dill. This is your basic, American, sandwich. Oh man, Devil's Dill + Bridge City cookies would be an idyllic lunchtime heaven, though.

Yum! This place is fantastic - why go to Starbucks next door when you can support a local business? Service was great, and so was the breakfast sandwich!

This place used to be a Paradise Bakery but then went local. I stop by often for their muffins and cookies, which are always top-notch and fresh. I love their Pumpkin Nut, Banana-Chocolate Chip, and Low-fat Lemon Poppy Seed best. When I go for lunch, I almost always get their Southwest Caesar Salad. The large is filling, tasty, and reasonably priced.

A great lunch spot! The staff is fast and friendly and will get you through that line quickly, so don't let that deter you. I always go for the Steel Bridge, Roast Beef, Cheddar Cheese, horseradish mayo, tomato, lettuce all on their home made bread! You always get a big chocolate chip cookie with your order too! The last time I went in I got a cup of fresh melon with strawberries and 1/2 Steel sandwich. It was a bit cheaper and very satisfying. They sell espresso and other baked goodies too!

Made a special trip from West Linn for early dinner. Didn't realize they closed at 5:00 til we were at the door. Got there close to closing, (sorry!) but we made it. The chick behind the cookie counter was rude. Never cracked a smile. I'd say "sourpuss" fits her attitude. The sandwich maker was patient and very nice, and he made a couple of good sandwiches, which we appreciated. Of course, we took our sandwiches to go. Oh, one thing ... the cookies seemed like old cookies. They had soooo many on display at closing, I cannot imagine they would donate all those cookies. Especially since the ones we got all seemed dry... which kinda confirmed our thoughts that they were old. Seems they'd try to give customers the newest and freshest, but since the unfriendly one wasn't happy that we showed up maybe she gave us older ones any way. BTW, a customer came in after us, too!

I stopped by this place with a Groupon and really wanted to like it, as I love to support local businesses, but unfortunately the food quality just didn't meet my expectations. The sandwiches tasted like they were made with mass-produced deli meats and cheeses that had been sitting out for awhile. I can make myself a better sandwich at home, and if I'm going out for a sandwich, I'll go to Jimmy Johns.

Okay, so I've only been here twice so far but both times it's been--fantastic! It's a very short walk from my office to Bridge City. Maybe it's a matter of luck and timing, I work early shift so my lunch is at 11, at that time, they've never been very crowded, I get in and out easily, and the staff is always very friendly. Granted, the pricing isn't super cheap, but the sandwiches are huge! Unless you're an athlete, you should be making two meals out of these. On my first visit, I tried the tuna and wow, it was the best tuna sandwich I've had out, second only to my Mom's homemade. All the ingredients were in perfect proportion. I got the combo which comes with a drink and a small bag of chips. What I didn't realize is that they also give you a cookie. As everyone else has mentioned, they are delicious, though I think they're probably from some sort of mix and not all that healthy. Today, I got the steel bridge roast beef, which was totally amazing, sourdough with cheese, tomato, dark green lettuce, horseradish, really tasty and again, very large. I just ate half the sandwich and one third of the cookie and I'm stuffed. For a basic sandwich place, I'm blown away by how good they are. I can't make sandwiches at home this good or maybe I'm just not patient enough. The bread is soft, the meats are lean and tasty, and they add nice, fresh veggies and great condiments. I can't wait to try the soup when the weather gets cold!

This café is what is right and good about the world. I was travelling on business to Portland from Chicago and I forgot my briefcase portfolio on one of the tables. I didn't realize it until I was on a flight back to Chicago. Although I thought for sure it was lost forever, I called the manager and he told me he had it...AND he would send it immediately. Sure enough, two days later it shows up on my doorstep. What impressed me most was that the manager seemed genuinely eager to help me, and he didn't treat it as an inconvenience. I highly recommend this place, not only because their food/coffee is amazing, but because they do business the right way.

The Artist Formerly Paradise Bakery is best known for its amazing cookies, my personal favorite being the coconut chocolate chip. So I was pleasantly surprised when I came in for lunch and actually looked at the rest of the menu. I had an excellent ham and cheese croissant and my favorite cookies. Since I didn't have time to sit and eat, they packed it in a brown paper bag and sent me on my way. Just like mom used to, only it tasted better. Sorry mom.
