Breakfast was awesome. They make their own hash browns from scratch. Steaks and egg spot on (not over or under done). I hear they have home made soup I will have to try. Drinks great. :) Prices are good. I will be back.

Not impressed with the bartender. Only a handful of people in the bar and I asked for a Captain and Coke. What I got was flat and tasted like a dirty sock. I took it up to complain and the bar tender was texting right in front of me. When she acknowledged me she stated we get a lot of complaints about the soda. She said it's not flat it's just the way it is. She never asked me if I wanted something else. She never said they didn't have Coke so what I got was not what I ordered. Overall she seemed bothered by the fact I was asking. Not going back again.

Don't have anything good to say about this place when it comes to breakfast. Although they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet til 1PM Sundays, I had a chicken fried steak w/ gravy on the side. The steak was overcooked and dry. Gravy was meh, hash browns did not get cooked to brown or crispy. etc etc. Not the worst but not good.

I have been in here several times since moving to the neighborhood and the food is always delicious, one of the best Rueben sandwiches I have ever had. The service has been fantastic! All the staff members have been super friendly and efficient. Right after we moved in and were in the middle of remodeling we were exhausted, grimy and it was 10 pm and we still hadn't eaten. I stopped in to get a sandwich to go, the cook who had just worked 14 hours and had just taken his apron off to clock out was kind enough to go back into the kitchen and make us a sandwich (since fried food did not sound appealing) and brought it out with a smile. That kind of service is above and beyond what one expects from their local sports lounge but especially on that day was appreciated more than the staff could know. I will definitely be a regular here.

Not really a Sports Lounge. They have televisions but the Jukebox plays during the game.

Nice in here! You can sit in comfortable chairs, by fire, gamble, eat & drink. Watch really good TVs

Another one bites the dust east of 82nd. I used to love coming to Bradfords - kind of divey, but a great neighborhood bar with great hamburgers and reasonably priced pints. NO MORE! They changed their burger and it's now just a run of the mill burger that you can get anywhere. They stopped making their homemade buns and now just use packaged sesame seed buns that are very ordinary. They barely even grill/toast them so by the time they are served they are cold. It's too bad. It was a great go to place in a pinch - in a place where there are very few good restaurants to choose from. Plus, the service is just getting worse. Once they take your order they never come back. We had to go up to the bar to get our bill and so did several others around us. They literally NEVER came back to our table after they took our order. Someone else brought our food. Good thing we didn't want another beer or more water or . . . . And, this is funny - we asked for the balsamic vinegar dressing to go with our salad and she brought out a bottle of malt vinegar just because she didn't know the difference!! Oops. Anyway, so long Bradfords. We are done with you. And note to all: The pics of the burgers on this site are no longer up to date. That yummy looking bun is no longer being served. Cheers!

Overall the service and atmosphere were pretty good. We went on a Thursday evening, after happy hour, and the place had a few customers. There was a group doing country karaoke, a few playing video lottery, and a few having dinner and drinks.. Between three of us we ordered onion rings, gizzards, a country fried steak and two burgers. the gizzards were nothing special, though the fry sauce served with them was good. The onion rings were soggy and the ranch dressing served with them tasted very off. Kind of blue cheese like, but the really low quality cheap stuff. The country fried steak was very large and tasted like most run of the mill country fried steaks. overall i thought it was good for the price. Now the burgers on the other hand... The buns and patties were obviously "home made", and i give them credit for trying. Unfortunately the buns and patties were extremely dry. The patties kind of crumbled when trying to eat them. They were also way to tall to eat. The burgers were literally twice as tall as they were wide. They are served with a knife run through them, and they do need the structural support. Otherwise I am sure they would not hold together on the trip to the table. Cutting them just caused them to fall apart. On the plus side, there was ample toppings, lettuce bacon, cheese, ham, egg, etc on the various burgers. While i was not impressed with the food, i would go back. The place is a bar after all, and food is not typically a bars strong point. It is within walking distance from where i live and they offer free pool a few nights a week. I will however not be ordering one of the burgers again.

Stopped in to check out their new digs. I used to go there many years ago when it was the Candystore. The new changes are great. The menus are full of good looking food. We each had one of their hamburgers. Fantastic. Handmade buns, handmade burger patties. Very tasty. My wife usually avoids burgers, but she went after this one in a big way. Fast service and really friendly staff, too. Our drinks were good (cheap at happy hour too). There is also a really good looking happy hour nosh menu with quite a bit to choose from. We're heading back to Bradford's for breakfast next. Parking looks like it could be a little iffy at busy times, but they told me there is more space in back of the restaurant. We are definitely going back to Bradford's. This was a good find.

I came in for lunch with a colleague on St. Patrick's Day and was given the suggestion to try to the Cheddar Bacon Burger, and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! I am becoming more and more intrigued by finding the perfect burger and this sure came close. The bread AND the burger patty were homemade, which is hard to come by these days... the bread had just a hint of sweetness which added to the smoky thick cut bacon and the melty cheddar cheese...so good. A surprise between the buns - battered pickle slices - GENIUS! Their tots were crunchy, salted and hot, and rounded off a calorically wonderfully meal in a cool new sports bar. I will be back! And a warm shout out to Brad the owner who took care of us and gave us the background of the place!

I stopped by here watch the Oregon-Colorado game. Bradford's is a roomy, nicely appointed sports bar. It even had a couple of couches to kick back and enjoy the game. I ordered a beer and some hot wings. The wings were decent: good sized, tender and juicy. The bleu cheese dressing was nothing special. Overall, not bad for bar food. The bartender was pleasant and helpful. She even went into the backroom to check the keg and see who brewed one of the IPAs when I inquired about it. But here's what got me: Off to the right side of the big screen showing the game, was another equally big screen. It featured a slideshow of Bradford's patrons interspersed with slides of dumb ass, redneck, right wing, sexist, anti-Obama, homophobic, borderline racist "humor". The kind of crap you hear spewed over talk radio. And since it was on the same wall, and right next to the game screen; you couldn't ignore it. I guess this kind of stuff would play in places like Idaho, Montana, Arizona, and the South; but all it did was piss me off. And since Bradford's is located in decidedly progressive, Democratic Multnomah County; it seems pretty stupid business-wise to alienate a huge portion of it's (potential) clientele base. Hey Bradford's: Serve me beer, feed me and provide a nice atmosphere to watch the game. (which you did) But DON'T shove your offensive, lame-ass, ignorant, tasteless, conservative bullsh*t down my throat! I won't be going back and I certainly won't recommend it to my friends.

A client took me to Bradford's for lunch, and now it's one of my favorite places. You have to try the Bradford burger - truly outstanding. The outer eastside needs more good food, and Bradford's fits the bill. The restaurant/bar is clean and comfortable - no dive bar here. It's worth a special trip to watch NFL games on Sunday with the brunch buffet @ $6.50.

Stopped in for the first time since this place has been Bradfords as the Candy Store was a frequented place of the past. We give Bradfords a big thumbs up, the burgers we had with their hand made buns were awsome, I don't think you can go wrong with one of these bomb burgers they includ a few deep fried pickles, YUM! I added the tots and the hubby had frys, the drinks were great also, Long Islands A+, we will have to try some of the other interesting and intreging things on the menu on our next visit. Although I saw rasor clams on their menu, this will for sure bring me back for them some time soon. I think our Happy Hour Geocaching Group will enjoy this place too. WILL BE BACK!

ok all you Yelpers, heres a great one. We went here yesterday (Labor Day 2012) for lunch and what a great surprise! There were three of us and we sort of split up our food. We had heard that they had gizzards, and being from out-of-stae we wanted to eat some gizzards. We also got the cheesy bacon tater tots, fries and hot wings. The gizzards were some of the most tender gizzards I have ever had. they are like $5 for maybe 10 or so gizzards! The tater tots were also good at $5.95. you get a full basket of tater tots, cooked crisp outside and still moist inside with melted freah cheese on top (not velveeta) and crispy pieces of bacon bits all over them. Yum! The fries, well they were just fries. Not bad, but the least exciting of the bunch. The hot wings were good and NOT small. you get 6 for $5.95 or a double batch for $3 more. Get the double batch. Nice atmosphere, really nice servers and just a fun place.
