One of Domino's more recent ad campaigns focuses on addressing customer complaints at the corporate level -- and this being the first time in years I've eaten Domino's, it seems the voices were heard. I'm no stranger to this particular Domino's, and experiences in years past have been wildly inconsistent, ranging from rock bottom to pretty good. In fairness though, that was due more to shady delivery drivers than the pizza itself. The most important difference between this pizza and the pizza of yesteryear is the crust. With the crust glazed with a garlic-herb mixture it goes from a slightly annoying obligation to an delicacy in and of itself. Domino's creamy garlic sauce in lieu of the standard tomato based sauce was a hit as well, with just enough sauce as to not completely saturate the cheese and not to little to leave pockets of dryness. For a medium carryout (note: still smaller than you would think) for $4.99 I feel like I made out like a bandit despite the somewhat disappointing size. 4 out of 5 for a marked improvement and a cheap 5 dollar pizza fix when there was nothing else open.
