Amazingly quaint B&B! The hosts were amazing. As soon as we arrived we were treated to appetizers in our room (We stayed in the largest room on the top floor, can't remember the name) of homemade smoked salmon with crackers and whipped cream cheese. Yum! Eileen was quick to steer us to the best seafood restaurant in town and directed us to all the local shopping and attractions. The room is the only on the top floor- complete with a living room area (think studio apartment without the kitchen) and a HUGE bathroom. It was beautifully decorated and even had a balcony with a telescope. Score! The breakfast was AMAZING. Large servings with fresh, strong coffee and good company. Can't wait to go back! P.S. We came home from dinner to fresh oatmeal cookies and ice cream. YUMMMM

Absolutely loved our stay here !! We were just passing through on a road trip and having never stayed at a bed and breakfast we decided to try one out. We found the Grand Victorian on yelp and with such amazing reviews and a decent price point we called and were able to make a reservation for that night. We were BLOWN AWAY by the hospitality of Eileen and how she runs her bed and breakfast. Not only did we get an awesome room/bed to sleep in with an ocean view, she provides an appetizer for each person when you arrive, dessert for each of us was waiting when we got home that night, and she made an AMAZING breakfast for us in the morning. Having been on the road for awhile it was great to be able to shower in her awesome claw foot tub, she even provided all of the bathroom essentials ! If you're going to be in Newport this is definitely the place to stay ! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

What a lovely place! Me and a friend went for High Tea. I called the day before and made reservations not really knowing what to expect. I never had High Tea before, but it sounded like fun. We were greeted by the hostess and seated in a lovely dining room that reminded me of my grandma's sitting room. She promptly brought out sliced strawberries with homemade Devonshire cream. It was divine! We then picked our tea and it was served in a beautiful teapot with the cutest teacups. After the tea she brought out a plate tower that had scones, little finger sandwiches, small desserts, and little cheese tarts. Everything was homemade and fresh! The lemon tarts were delicious! The scones were great! The turkey with Monterey jack cheese sandwich was scrumptious! By the end I was very, very full. Our hostess was kind and courteous. She knew when to leave us alone and when to stick around and chat. She was great! I would highly recommend!

I love this place! Eileen, one of the owners, is a wonderful host. We stayed in the Lady Cathrine room which had a view of the ocean. It was a little small, but we weren't there to stay inside all day. The shared bathroom was big and had an awesome claw foot tub. Upon arrival, you get an appetizer and dessert. In the morning, you get breakfast at the time of your choosing. One night wasn't enough. We'll be returning!

We stayed in the cottage. We made reservations on Friday afternoon, just prior to the kickoff of spring break - and I'm so happy we ended up at the Grand Victorian. The oatmeal cookies were sublime. The cottage itself is well equipped, toasty with its gas fireplace, and highly convenient to the best of Nye Beach. Eileen was an attentive host and the space was what we had hoped for.

Friendly quaint place very close to the beach! Full breakfast room is tight but cozy.

From the moment you arrive Eileen is there to greet you with the keys and take your breakfast order for the next day. She had made my boyfriend and I each our own appetizer on a tray to bring to our room and a homemade dessert for when we came back for dinner! We stayed in the Queen Elizabeth room, although a little small it was perfect for spending the night. You have just a small glimpse of the ocean with a nice breeze if you open the window. The bathroom on the second level was amazing. The shower was one of the best showers I have ever had. The water pressure from the 'waterfall like' head was so heavy and it felt amazing- I didn't want to get out. Breakfast in the morning was superb. My boyfriend compared it to 'the Denny's grandslam,' but WAY better and way more tasty. Eileen makes you her favorite coffee (dark and strong) and you get to sit amongst other guests in the very quaint living room. All together, you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Amazing service left us wanting to come back to stay again!

As far as B&B places go, we felt it reminded us of an old person's home. The decor was old and seemed run down in places. I imagine Eileen was going for a 'Victorian' look but it seemed as if some rooms were decorated using garage sales. There were three rooms to choose from. On the second floor, there is the Lady Catherine room, with tacky yellow wallpaper. The bed was moderately comfortable, a small closet and an old 20" TV with cable box was included. Next door was the Sir Charles room, about the same size but no closet space. We had to share the bathroom with guest staying there. Upstairs was the Victoria suite, which spanned the whole floor, with its own bathroom and tub. Breakfast was good but nothing special. No locally sourced ingredients, no particularly distinct flavor. We like supporting local businesses and thought this B&B would have done the same, given that there are farmers and a farmers market in Newport. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again unless it was the only choice in town. For the price, there was nothing special other than the feeling that you've supported a local business instead of the many chain hotels that dot this city. Finally, the hospitality and warmth one would expect from small town folk was notably absent both here at the Grand Victorian and throughout the rest of the town.

Loved our stay here! Gorgeous place - inside and out. A few blocks away from the beach. Close to many eateries within walking distance. Our host Terry (didn't get to meet Eileen) made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Will definitely come back!

My husband and I were given a night at the Grand Victorian as a gift, and loved every minute there, in fact we stayed a second night. Breakfast was served each morning in their lovely dining room and was a full breakfast cooked by the owner, very good. We were within easy walking distance to Nye Beach and all the shops and dining. Each evening when we returned to the Grand Victorian we had dessert waiting for us, homemade by the owner of the B&B; red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting one night and lemon curd tarts the next night. Yummm

This is my second stay here and we will be back for sure! Terry and Eileen are very accommodating, informative, and they make delicious breakfast comfort food that is always welcome. It's nice coming home from the Irish bar down the street and having a cupcake waiting before you head to bed. The views are lovely and Nye Beach is 2 blocks away. We've stayed in the same room both times and have yet to check out the suite or separate cottage that is listed on the website nor have we stayed for high tea so I can't speak to that. The shared bathroom is large & well stocked on the second floor & there's an interesting collection of VHS to choose from if you're so inclined. I recommend bringing a pair of slippies to wear as there's a no shoe policy :)

One of the quaintest places to stay in Newport. The owner is super friendly and makrs amazing french toast for breakfast. The top room is absolutely adorable for two lovebirds, other rooms are also nicely decked out in victorian decor. We went to nana's late at night for delishous guinness on tap in an authentic irish pub setting. Owner is so helpful and warm. Enjoy.

Perfect! The bed was really comfortable, the shower was awesome, the owners are extremely friendly and the food was great! The location is close to good restaurants. We only stayed one night but it was exactly what we were looking for.

All you need to know is: fresh baked cookies! My fiance and I stayed here for one night on our way up to Portland. It was our first trip to a B & B, and this place made us wonder why we hadn't been to one sooner! We stayed in the Lady Catherine room (2nd floor facing the ocean.) It shared a bathroom with the other bedroom on that floor, but it was vacant while we were there, extra bonus. The rooms/bathroom were clean as a whistle, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and it had a very warm/homey feel. The breakfast was amazing. I would have paid $12 for it anywhere else. Eggs made to order, baked bacon, crispy hashbrowns, and french toast....so good. Eileen, the owner, said the eggs were farm fresh. You could definitely tell with the luxurious yolk. The location was perfect. Nye Beach was in walking distance (Like a quarter mile!) as were some downtown shops, restaurants, and pubs. All and all, it was a great first trip to Newport. Will go back next time we're in OR for sure.

I came here with my boyfriend for high tea. Absolutely charming B&B. The owner set up the tea using beautiful china, and I got to wear a straw hat! The finger sandwiches were delicious (we got grilled turkey/jack cheese, and traditional cucumber). I could eat gallons of the Devonshire cream. Yum!

The Grand Victorian was a wonderful experience! We had an unexpected extra guest with us (we booked the couple's suite) and luckily it was no trouble at all to get a second room for the night. There were snacks; home baked cookies that were simply delicious. Breakfast was large filling; eggs, sausages, teas, waffles. The owners were so friendly and we had great conversation.

We were treated like royalty and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Victoria Suite. Upon arrival Eileen served us a wonderful tray of smoked salmon, crackers & cheese and gave us a recommendation for dinner on the Newport Bay. When we returned from dinner she had freshly made cupcakes and the ice cream scoops out for us. She cooked us a delicious breakfast & we were so grateful she spent time with us all the while busy cooking and getting ready for her afternoon tea and cooking for other guests. We even had the opportunity to do laundry while there. Only a block away from the beach we enjoyed the sound and view of the ocean. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast and will certainly go back should our travels take us to the Oregon Coast in the future.

The top floor suite is just right for that Honeymoon feeling with its luxurious jacuzzi tub complete with ocean view. We enjoyed walking around nearby in the evening and bought a lovely bottle of wine from a knowledgeable young store owner and visited with locals outside a small neighborhood pub. We gobbled cookies made by the owner of the B&B after dark in our cozy sitting area listening to the sea.. slept soundly and ate a hearty breakfast in the gorgeous Victorian dining area. All in all a lovely visit to Newport...We'll be back.
