Stay away from the Halibut sandwich ... gummy texture/floury taste. Wish I had gotten a burger. Friendly/fast staff . Good fries and fry sauce. Kinda stingy with the sauce...ask for extra.

This is your basic fast food place -- like McDonald's or Burger King -- but with some different menu items. They also had corn dogs (and mini), chicken rings, and a variety of burgers. The food was acceptable. Shakes for dessert with mix-ins were better than average for fast food. Service was quick. Restrooms clean. All in all, it was okey-dokey.

This is the best soft serve ice cream we've ever had! We would recommend it over anything else. It is very creamy opposed to some that are quite granular. You get the biggest bang for your buck at this location!

Man I love stumbling upon solid regional fast food. We pulled in here after a morning of charter-fishing with no preconceived notion of what it was about. I'm not sure why others think the burgers aren't good. The four of us thought they were fantastic (in fast-food kind-of-way). Fries were delicious too. I'd give it a full 5-stars, but then that wouldn't be very fair to In-N-Out or Steak 'n' Shake.

I stopped in and told the friendly girl at the counter that I had played on an Arctic Circle Drive-In sponsored Little League team. About 45 years ago. (True story, too). I didn't get a free order of fries, but I was willing to pay for them any way. AC fries and fry sauce. Worth driving over the Rocky Mountains to find. The hamburgers have always been fresh on my visits here to Newport. The bread is fresh, the meat is freshly cooked. Good stuff.

They may have good food but I will never find out as this establishment has no idea how to run a successful restaurant. Instead of asking the front car in the drive thru to move to a parking spot as their order took over 12 minutes (verified by the manager) to make, leaving a trail of cars behind them stranded and waiting for now- cold food. The manager, a person with no business acumen whatsoever proceeded to tell me it wasn't how things are done so I should leave, and I did, as probably the trail of angry carloads behind me, though not without her threatening me with the police. Seriously? Civilization doesn't work your ineffectual way, ma'am.

We never come to Newport without stopping here for lunch. The burgers are good but the fries are amazing. They have the best fry sauce but you don't want to use it cause the fries are so good. Shakes are good and the service is top notch. Always full but worth any wait.

The food is gross (fries are ok), and disgusting but the lime Rickey's are amazing!! Thirst quenching :) I love visiting Newport because I know I'll be stopping buy for some frys for the special sauce and a drink!

I'm never quite sure what to think when I get bad food at a place that consistently gets 4 and 5 stars on Yelp. Was today just an off day for them? Did going between lunch and dinner-time catch them between shifts? Is it because this is not summer tourism season? I don't know what the problem was, but I was really primed for a good burger -- and the double cheeseburger I got was nothing but awful. The cheese was dried out at the corners. The meat tasted old. The shreds of lettuce tasted of chemical preservatives. 1 pickle? Really? And too much mayo/ketchup. The bun was really fresh. That's about the only positive thing I can find to say -- except that my dog got most of the burger after I scraped all the mayo-soaked lettuce into the trash. I should probably give them another try to see if it was just a fluke -- but it's really pricey for dog food, and he likes Purina better.

Food was average, very similar to a Dairy Queen. Kids were starving and we stopped here for lunch. Fry sauce was good, had never tasted that. The dining room needed a little attention, but I guess they hadn't had a chance to clean up, when we left a young man was getting it cleaned up. After we ate we tried the shakes/malts and they were ok, not the best. Would eat here again if I were in the area again.

Terrific halibut! Great service! I had to ask the cashier if the halibut contained MSG. I was met with friendly help. Such a surprise! By the way. There was NO MSG in the halibut. Will definitely be back!

It has been a long time since I have even seen an Arctic Circle, and I have missed them. This location has stuff not found on most burger joint menus (grilled lemon pepper chicken breast sandwich) and they have onion rings too. Yay! A note about these onion rings. We stopped to do some kite flying and beach combing. I hadn't gotten very far into my food so figured I would just warm up my onion rings when we got back. When we returned, I was so hungry that I didn't care that my rings had gone cold. I ate them anyway...and they still tasted good! Service was really friendly, and prices actually seemed pretty fair. Even though the location was old, it looked well kept and well run

The employees have a bad attitude coupled with terrible service. The food isn't really that good. It's kind of a novelty to get AC when in Lincoln City because they are all but extinct everywhere else. I no longer have that itch, thank goodness.

My wife and I come here every time we're in Newport and I eat WAAAAY too much when I'm there. No joke. Was there yesterday, if fact, and ordered a #10 large and the Pastrami burger meal medium sized. I also ordered an order of onion rings and a foot long hot dog. Soooo... My food was perfect. I can't improve on that. I like that they make a sauce out of mayo, mustard, and relish and put it on the hot dogs (which are split in half and grilled). My wife thought they put too much pastrami on the pastrami burger, but that's about it. Love this place.

This looks like one of those places that could easily be pretty bad. I stopped by one evening when I was in town to do some fieldwork and up late in Newport. I discussed GF options with the speaker voice and they said the shakes and ice cream were GF so long as they didn't put the usual vanilla wafer on top. They did anyway, but realized their mistake and remade the entire shake without my asking. Everyone working here was extremely nice and helpful. I had a chocolate shake with real huckleberries in it and it far surpassed nearly any frozen dessert beverage I've had elsewhere. Arctic Circle is worth a stop even if you're just passing through.

We were so excited to see an Artic Circle as there are none left in Washington. Our excitement was tripled when we saw the 2 cheeseburger, 2 fries for $3.99 deal. With drinks and a kid's meal for my son, the bill came to less than $10. The burger was tasty and the fries were perfect. I forgot how much I love the fry sauce (which is available for purchase). If you are looking for good fast food on the cheap, then this is the place for you!

Love this joint. When you tell folks you're from the Newport area, they always remember Arctic Circle and their fry sauce. Can't beat a recommendation like that. You gotta love one of the last hold outs of this chain. Hit the beach, grab a burger, and shake at this place and you won't regret it.

The worst hambooger I have ever eaten. Good Fries. The Fry Sauce: I used to love it, but now make it at home: 2 parts mayo to 1 part ketchup. (Add a kiss of horseradish if you want a little 'kick') Their sauce leans more heavily towards ketchup, but it's better than a jab in the eye with a sharp stick! (But not much) However: their Halibut and Chips are REALLY good and affordable, and that is why I go there!! The 2 piece fish size serving is just right, and I nab extra napkins to help soak up the grease. An Occasional Indulgence! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: I have just discovered their Taco Salad. It will be the second reason I go back. Large portion of freshly chopped (not bagged) lettuce, generous amount of cheese (although this WAS from a bag), and a mysterious 'white sauce' that does add to the dish. I nix the tomatoes/avocado...a personal quirk. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
