Delicious bagel sandwhiches and their raw orange juice is soooo goood! My only complaint is the hours are undependeble. I drive by the same time everyweek day and sometimes they are open and sometimes its closed.. Hours SAY 6am they open. But I drive by around 750 and many times the signs are off and no lights inside. Im not sure what that deal is? Other then that, a cheap place to get a quick breakfast on the go

Not a lot of hand washing at all. Both employees touched money, then went back to food prep several times. Makes me wonder about their bathroom hand washing policies. Gloves weren't changed after touching money either. What's the point!? I was also overcharged. He told me $5.00 but it was $5.50 on my bank statement. Not cool. I get that it was only $.50, but that ruins the trust of the business. On the bright side, the employee I interacted with was extremely pleasant and very polite. Unfortunately, too many dings for me to go again.

We went into NY Bagel for the first and LAST time today. We ordered two toasted bagels with cream cheese and while waiting for them (almost twenty minutes) saw an employee drop three bagels on the floor while taking them from the oven and put them in the bin with all the others to be served! Disgusting! Needless to say we didn't eat the bagels.

I ordered to go. They didn't have oranges to do orange juice (one of their claims to fame), the latte was super lacking, and my bagel was rock hard; what nibbles I could gnaw off were ultra chewy. Super disappointed. Whoever was the quality control person must have left and gone to the new Corvo location :(

A Monmouth classic! Super great made in-house bagels, with extremely reasonable prices. I usually stick to the sun-dried tomato bagels, either with some kind of cream cheese, or the ham egg and cheese bagel sandwich, on rare occasion one of their lunch sandwiches (either the Oregonian or Garden Veggie)! Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty incomparable - the bagel stands up and doesn't get overly greasy like a lot of others. The cheese is always perfectly melted (though it is typical American cheese) and the flavors jive perfectly. Of note, since this is a college town, these breakfast sandwiches served me well for one too many late nights. I frequented this place at least weekly when I was in college - and am sad it is no longer available to me now that I am gone, save for the occasional visit here to friends. I have yet to find anything else quite like it, and none of those chain bagel shops even come close to comparing with regards to price, taste, and quality.

This place has great food most of the time, occasionally the bagels aren't as moist as I'd like but I'm kinda picky. I've been going here since they opened and have always gotten the ham, egg and cheese breakfast bagel. They usually run out of certain flavors of bagels like cheddar, asiago and garlic which are my favorites but plain is pretty good too. They are FAST and can have a bagel done in under 5 minutes most of the time, bring cash because hey charge a debit/credit card fee.

I used to work here and let me tell you how horrible it is! They have or had a sandwich that had "sprouts" but never changed the menu so when the cheap boss stopped by sprouts he told us to use lettuce and not tell the customers. The only thing I would buy here is the breakfast sandwiches, they are cheap and most of the products on them are frozen. The boss there is a creep. He regularly fires his employees and then begs them to come back to work. He also tried to tell me that he was like my father? He also used to include chips or potato salad with your sandwich and then decided to start charging separately for them. In my opinion the lunch sandwiches are already too expensive. This guy is a creep and this is one place I will never eat again!

Came in for bagel sandwich today and the place feels like a New York bagel shop. Just not comfortable with the cashier handling the money then grabbing the bagel with his bare hands and taking it to the chef. When I buy bagels at the grocery store from open bins I use tongs to grab my bagels and put them in the bag. Health standards / procedures may need to be reevaluated.

Got sandwiches and coffee and was so worried about the cooking/preparation at this place that I hesitated to give the food to my family who were waiting in the car outside. We were in a hurry, on our way to the coast, so I kept it to myself when I got to the car. The good news is that none of us got sick. The better news is we're not going back.

My girlfriend and I love this place. Every time we go home we take a dozen bagels with us to share with our family. Besides the food being great, the staff are always friendly and have a smile on.

This is not even close to a New York Bagel. Why reference it in the name if it doesn't come close? How about Monmouth Bagel Bistro. That name would apply here. Dry, like the town.

Delicious and healthy OJ made right before your eyes by a machine that is worth ordering OJ, just to watch it work. I recommend a carrot juice chaser... also delicious. Good atmosphere. Great owner. Pleasant and engaging staff. Easy parking. Quality food and drink. Diverse clientele.

NY Bagel & Bistro just renovated. Now their atmosphere matches their amazing bagels.

Best bagels ever! They used to not be so great on "housekeeping" of the place but it looks great now with lots of remodeling. I don't know why another review called the owner creepy, he's a really nice guy. They have a wide variety of both meat and veggie sandwiches, coffees and smoothies all for a great price. Definitely one of the best places for breakfast or lunch in the area.

The Best is great. Good prices. Music to loud for the early morning.

The lunch bagels my husband and I had were only okay. The fillings were slim, the menu said it came with pick and chips or potato salad, our came with nothing, and they were so cold that they were hard to eat. I love bagels and this was extremely disappointing. I hear the breakfast bagels are much better, maybe one morning I'll give them another shot.
