The food was pretty good and the chips always warm and crispy, but the wait time is ridiculous. Just to have our order taken was about 20 minutes and the food... An hour wait. Never going back if I'm in a hurry to eat or starving that's for sure.

If your looking for pork tacos, get the Chili Verde with their homemade, thick, steaming hot corn tortillas. That was the best dish I have had there so far. The chunks of pork weren't fatty and fell apart like it should. Salsa was delish too. I will have to go back to buy some corn tortillas because safeway and the bakery in town don't have anything that good. I only gave it 4 stars because the other plates I have had weren't as good as this, maybe they got a different chef but we will have to go back more often. Thanks for making this pregnant lady happy:)

This is one of the best restaurants in Molalla. Good food and friendly service. I have visited here many times over the years and always have a good experience. They are great for takeout orders too.

3-stars for what it is: a strip mall Mexican food place. Seemed to be pretty standard fare for that category of restaurant, though I really liked their salsa and pico. The service was also quite good and the price affordable

I don't want to give them 2 stars yelps"mh, Ive had better" because they seem like nice people and it could just be my expectations for strip mall mexican food, I've been very spoiled by my regular spot in Portland. San Blas IS very clean and I DID only tried one thing. I got it to go, so didn't have the chance to express my disappointment in person. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla for lunch. The Service was fast and nice but What I got was two large flour tortilas with chicken/cheese inside that was stuck in a microwave for a few minutes and it wasn't even pre sliced tossed into a togo container something I could have easily tossed up myself ----nothing what I expected. I traded my Sour Cream and quacamole for Ranch. I got a small tiny container of ranch maybe 1oz that was a joke. The size of the Quesadilla was big enough for two and the chicken was flavorful but it wasn't very pretty to look at. They should have specified its NOT GRILLED or CUT FOR YOU on the menu. I would have tried something else I had to tear it apart to eat this since I got it togo. I got a bag of fresh chips/salsa with my order which was nice. But overall that first experience with that microwaved flour tortilla wasn't a pleasant one. I probably won't be back.

Enough is enough. I love this place but will no longer support it due to the owner. This time they added .50 to the bill for our second basket of chips. That is twice where they added to my bill without telling me. Absolutely horrible and unethical. Not one word said to us, just added to the bill. Knocked down a star as they charged us for pop refill without telling us it was an extra cost. They asked us if we wanted more soda and then charged for it. Had 2 ala carte enchiladas that were very good. The chips and salsa were fresh and extremely tasty. The service could not have been better. Water was refilled before being empty. Sodas refilled when needed. At $4.00 each for the enchiladas, it seemed a little spendy but in the end we figured you get what you pay for. We will be back.

OK, San Blas, you take away your pico de gallo, then you bring it back upon request, and now you have taken it away again for good. It really was the best thing you had going, and you just took it away. Now, you may be thinking, "So you can't have pico with your chips anymore, big deal", but it really is more than just that. My standard order of 3 tacos used to come with a little pico on each taco, and now they put their mediocre, runny salsa on there instead. It really just makes San Blas another run of the mill strip mall restaurant (and now a bar, too) serving gringo-friendly Tex-Mex food. It's time to start making the drive into downtown Molalla to try one of the other Mexican food options in this town.

It took 20min for them to bring me a menu that I had to ASK for! They didn't get me a drink till I again had to ask for it, they sat me at a dirty table. And to top it off the bartender had his birthday that night and while he was working on the clock he figured it would be appropriate to kiss and lick a customers neck as he gave her a lap dance and rubbed his fake strap on all over her lady biz and on her face... And taking shots. I was soooo uncomfortable. And will probably never go back there again. I know sitting on the bar side is a little less family friendly but things got way out of hand and the service is the worst I have ever had. I think there should be a total fresh start in that place new employees all around. I wish I could give -5 stars.

Was really disappointed overall. Not 1 of the 3 girls on the floor knew the special, watched them all go check the board. What looks like a lunch portion seems to be the norm for a dinner here. Hubby reports a very bland steak. Wish we could say maybe next time will be better but for the price, we just can't see coming back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
