I ate at Texas Roadhouse several years ago in Las Vegas. It was great. I was excited to see they had opened a restaurant in Medford Oregon, as we were passing through and wanted a good meal. Pretty disappointing. Dry, way overcooked and not much flavor. The atmosphere was VERY loud.

So my teenage son and I have been here many times before... getting here approx 1:30 we figured would work in avoiding a big Sunday lunch crowd. Walking in, there were about 6 staff members hanging around in the lobby (all female)... one of them approached us with the info that things were changing, and instead of ordering at the front, we would be seated and order from menus. She walked us to a very obviously dirty table (and seats) and left us there standing while she went to find someone to clean it. She came back in a couple of minutes with a wet cloth and wiped down the table and seats. Before she left I had to ask her to clean the one seat that had food still obviously on it. Our waiter was good, but I don't think he has had a great deal of experience. Menus are small, and tucked away so they weren't immediately obvious. We made our order. Got our yeast rolls and drinks. He was good about bringing more without being asked. My Dallas fillet was supposed to be medium rare (warm pink center) but was more of a cooler center. The loaded mashed taters and green beans (with bacon sprinkles) was good as always. Son had the pulled pork, which he said was good. We generally bring home leftovers, and today was no exception. I did mention to the girl that seated us that she might want to consider making sure the table is taken care of before bringing people over for seating. Left a 15% tip.

Visited with someone who has a severe dairy allergy. Their entree came out with cheese after a specific request that it be omitted. That wouldn't have been so bad if it was replaced quickly, but it took an additional 25 minutes for the cheese-less dish to return, at which time the other diners in our party had already finished eating. Speaking with a manager resulted in a very rehearsed apology along with a card for a free fried onion on the next visit. Can't have a fried onion with a dairy allergy since it has buttermilk in it! Plus, a lot of people don't like a big greasy battered fried onion. The rest of the food was okay but nothing outstanding. The counter service was cool. I won't go back.

Well another great Texas Roadhouse. I have to say that I am NOT a fan of this locations order than find a seat set up. I realize it just opened but its a mad house and I feek that the set up makes it crazier than it needs to be. I also do not like the self serve soda plan. If I'm out to dinner with friends/family I don't want to be getting up from the party to refill my drink. Food was perfect as always though and for that reason alone I will be back. I just hope that it settles down a bit. Oh I almost forgot... every texas roadhouse I have been to the staff randomly start line dancing.. not here. :-(

Disappointed I finally talked my sister into going last Friday night. She doesn't like it but went. I had to go find silverware after salad was thrown in front of me. Also we never go any bread! The one reason I like the place. I will never leave a tip at the register again, they got their tip before service, next time if ever, I will leave tip at the table.

Similar in many ways to our Original Roadhouse Grill. Peanuts, fun atmosphere, good food. Texas Roadhouse offers two dining experiences - order at the "counter" or have a server. The server section is limited to the area around the bar. We chose the latter as it was faster for seating on a very busy Friday night. Our waitress was great and took the time to explain the counter ordering service. We spotted some friends in the back of the line - turns out they were served their food about the same time as we were! The counter service line appears long but tables turn over quickly and the line moves fast. Don't be intimidated by it. To pass your time, they do offer adult beverages at the entry to enjoy while in line. The decor and lighting were pleasant. The bar was impressive with seating and countless flat-screens arranged around the rim - every seat has a good view of at least on screen. Will be interesting to see if they get Duck, Beaver and all the NFL games - would be a great place to watch! The food was very good. Rolls were fluffy with an unexpected delicious cinnamon-butter. We ordered a entree salad and a combo plate with ribs and steak. Plenty of food for two. Had concerns about the BBQ on such a busy night. Steak was correctly cooked to the medium we requested. The ribs were perfectly done. Our waitress was friendly, explained everything and answered all our questions. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Not sure if they have the ability - outdoor seating would have been a nice feature. Maybe out back to watch planes land and take off? Will return!

Eh, a completely different experience, but since we were really hungry after a long drive from Seattle, we just needed something to eat. The gals were extremely nice and helpful, but the food...oh man. My brother ordered the beef tips and I ordered the California Chicken "burger". The food came out a little slow, but once we dug in, our taste buds were immediately in shock at how much salt was in the food. The California chicken wasn't as bad, but I expected buns to go with my so-called "burger". Rather the chicken came out with avocado topped with salsa. Overall, we won't go back to a Texas Roadhouse anytime soon, but if you must go and try it, choose your meals carefully.

GREAT. This was the best BBQ I've had in years. Wonderful, so good we made all these disgusting sounds as we ate. Their cheesecake, I'm assuming it's homemade, it's also to die for. I will always eat here, when in Medford. Even it if I have to drive many miles to get here.

Saw this place while driving on Crater Lake and decided to try it. We are so glad we did. I had the ribs, and although they are pork but not baby back, the ribs were juicy and fell off the bone. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. I had the sides of chili & steak fries and they also were delicious. Excellent choice and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cautionary comment. Attention to detail is slipping in the kitchen here. My Country Fried Chicken had so much breading on the bottom that it was thicker than the chicken, and not cooked through. Everything else was great, but some attention needs to be used to not give a dish that is more breading than chicken.

We ordered food to go. Kinda leery about "food to go" but did it anyway out of necessity. This was our 1st visit here and must say we were very pleased with the food. Steaks were so tender they melt in your mouth with an awesome marinated flavor!! The dinner rolls were from scratch and I have to say were better then mine, (darn!). I ordered from the kids menu because I have a smaller appetite and got enough food to fill me up with left overs for lunch!! Well worth the money!! My son ordered a regular steak dinner and also had enough for lunch the next day. The flavors of everything was the best we've had from a restaurant in a long time and I would definitely recommend to my friends.

You just never know what you are going to get here. Sometimes it's delicious and spot on, other times, not so much. You'd think that a steak house would be able to cook your steak to perfection, but more often than not it's over done. The service seems to have gone steadily down hill. You can sit in the bar where supposedly you get "full service," but the last three times I've tried that, we've actually had to track down a server. So, we've resorted to sitting in the general area where you are still supposed to be checked on and able to get more rolls, but you have better luck going to the counter and just asking the cashier because no one ever comes. I'll go back because we lack options in Medford, but it's not a favorite and I don't recommend it if you are looking for a great steak house or trying to impress. It'd help a lot if they simply brought in great customer service and wait staff that enjoy waiting on people (I actually watched 2 servers argue over who would take our table the last time we sat in the bar. Neither did and a third server was hunted down by the management after we sat ungreeted for 20 minutes! WHAT??). Yeah, I wish there was more positive to be said.

First and foremost I would not consider this a fine dining restaurant, more of a upscale fast food place, like Carls Jr. You don't have a designated server, staff just roaming the tables. It felt like an amusement ride, where you are constantly on the move. You have the feeling you are being pushed out the moment your food arrives. From ordering at the counter, until walking out the door was 22 minutes for us, which might be great for someone that has to eat and get back to work, but not ok for a nice relaxing dinner. The food, steaks, baked potato's and sides are good, but very much made assembly style, they are prepared before you order it. As I have said, if you are in a time crunch and what a good steak, this would be the place, but a 2 hour dinner with friends or family forget it.

Best place for steak/ribs in Medford. The line may seem long but it is worked fast and you can always find a table. Order the prime rib Medford style for a grilled kick!

One of the best meals we have had in Medford since the Hungry Woodsman was open and we have lived here all our lives.. Everything was great. Food and staff wonderful. Keep up the good work guys.

I'm just not sure how this restaurant is getting such good reviews, other than the newness and novelty of it. We went pretty early on a Monday evening - a fairly slow time. It was still packed. You enter the door and get into a long line to order at the counter, like a fast food restaurant. There were servers standing along the line trying to explain the concept over the VERY loud background noise of the restaurant. They only told us about the counter service, but I later found out there was an option for full service. Our total for two entrees and one drink, including tip, was $46. Pretty darn steep for self-service, in my opinion. I feel like if I'm going to pay that much for dinner, I want someone to serve me. The food itself was sorely lacking. The ribs were extremely dry, the small side of "fresh veggies" was limp and brownish. I was definitely not a fan of the cinnamon in the butter, but that's just personal preference, I suppose. All in all - very loud and chaotic, fast food service at a sit down price, and mediocre food. I definitely won't be returning, as there are so many better options nearby.

Good food, good service, good quality and portions for the price. Pleasantly surprised and happy to have a new choice for dining out. We liked the liveliness of the place, although we have opted to go sit in the back in the full service area the two times we have been there. Not sure about the front walk-up service area idea, we will try it out and see...

First, and last, time eating at a Texas Roadhouse. If you like your steak thin and chewy with lots of gristle then this is the place for you. Started out with doughy, taste-free dinner rolls, followed by a boring iceberg lettuce salad, then the steak and "fries". Save your money for a decent steak because you won't find it here! Lesson learned, thanks Roadhouse.

Medford Store..Very impersonal place...order from counter at entrance and pay your bill...then walk around till you find a table...get a number for you order and two or three different servers bring your drinks and grub....food was one step from Carls..

Well after having high hopes for this place, I was very disappointed. We finally had a chance to try the Texas Roadhouse and went about 3:00 p.m. to beat any dinner rush. We ordered our dinners and on of the onion appetizers. I asked for a full rack of baby back ribs and my wife ordered a Chicken Salad. We found a table and our appetizer arrived right a way. It was cold. Cold deep fried onion is horrible. My salad arrived but we had no utensils and had to ask for them. They also brought rolls that I realized were brushed with butter. I asked for some plain and the wait person said she would get some. She brought back more buttered rolls. I said I could see that they were glazed with butter but she said they were supposed to be dry. She returned a few minutes later with rolls that were actually without butter. The rolls were tasty but not as good as The Original Roadhouse. When my ribs arrived, it was only a half rack. I told the server I ordered a full rack. She said the order taker only charged for a half rack. When I tried the ribs they were barely warm. That disappointed me. My wife said her salad was good. So at least they got that right.

Food was great but service sucked! They have you order and pay before you sit down, our server came by a couple times and had a sour attitude I gave 3 stars because the food was outstanding ( we had prime rib salad and baked potato and of course the yummy rolls)

I give 4 stars for the food. Tonight the service was bad, only 1 star. 4 star for the busse boy. We will be back

Just so everyone knows the reviews about no sit down service are untrue. You have a choice. Order from the counter or go to the other side of the restaurant and get full service. Had a great meal with friends and we actually had 2 service staff it was just AWSOME. We were sad to hear that the Medford Oregon location doesn't have the line dancing of staff but I guess Management decided not to do that. We always thought it generated a really fun atmosphere.

Love this place! The food is absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked perfect and had so much flavor. My husband loved his ribs and sweet potato. Make sure you order a cactus onion, soooo good! There is a full bar and the drinks were really reasonably priced. The service was excellent! (Prefer full service side) This is our new place. :)

Better in price than Outback Steakhouse! Same concept with peanut shells on the floor as Original Roadhouse Grill. Less of a selection of menu options than Applebees. I wasnt too fond of the way you have to order your food at the counter and stand in line since I'm disabled. What they show online as available isnt always true in the restaurant! The food was really good but small portions. Outback is smaller portions though. Theres a large bar area and tons of tv's throughout the restaurant with sports on! Country music cranked up inside as well as outside! Definitely not a hippie establishment as far as decor goes and gluten free/vegetarian options! :P There were snake skins, deer mounted on the walls etc! Seemed to me like they hired too many waiters since a lot were walking around bored! They were very friendly, quick and eager to serve though! Overall I would go back but prefer Outback better yet they are way more expensive! Applebees and Sizzler I am burnt out on! But this is the best option for price and the amount of food you get. Didnt like the ordering situation though, would rather be seated and look at a menu!

Our first visit to the Texas Roadhouse. I must say that the food was good, but I'm not a fan of the whole cafeteria type ordering and then go try to find a seat. We had to get our own drinks and try to find the rest of our party. There were six of us and the booths that are supposed to be for six people were very tight fit. The idea we had of a nice dinner and socializing with our friends was ruined because of the extremely loud music. We had several different wait staff at first. Salad and rolls appeared quickly. Entrees arrived a few minutes later. Two at our table requested that their steaks be cooked a little more and after our meals were delivered we were pretty much forgotten. If you need refills on drinks, you have to get it yourself. We were told they couldn't bring a pitcher of water to our table because they don't have any pitchers. All in all I will probably visit again but not on a Saturday night.

so to start off, i'll say this, the first time we went there I would've given this place 4 stars, mostly because the server we had was amazing. the food was good, and affordable, and at first I was concerned, but it was good. and the service made up for the weirdness. This time, they changed things. We didn't have a designated server, no one came to see if we needed anything, and only one of the people was willing to get us a side of anything once we got portions of our food. Also, a big thing I don't like about the "ordering at the counter" our app, salads, and dinner came out at pretty much the same time minus maybe a minute in between each course. But of course, not having an actual server at our table to serve us made that impact. Now as someone who worked several years in the restaurant industry, one of my biggest pet peeves is tip sharing because it deeply impacts service. This proved that to me. The only person we saw even trying to do his job was the busser. At the end, I tried to tip him because I felt he deserved it, and he informed me he wasn't allowed because they all share. To me, a server is only a server if they actually make an experience out of it. These were not servers, they were food runners. It felt like a nicer sit down version of a fast food restaurant. To top it off, they claim on their website they won't leave you to fend for yourself. When I was done with me meal, I wanted a box so I was looking around for a person to ask. When someone asked me finally if I needed something, she informed me the boxes were in the back and I could get them for myself. Considering they start off at the counter ready to accept a tip, I was really put off by that. What am I tipping you for if I have to get my own drinks, and my own boxes. All they are literally doing for you is bringing you food that you had to order at a counter. I feel worse for the good server we had the first time around because he made 25% from us due to his amazing skills, they are not utilizing those skills in this restaurant anymore, and they suffer for it. I will say this --The food is ok. My husband enjoyed the taste of the steak and I like their catfish, but for the prices ($12 for the catfish, $16 for the steak) I would've expected a more professional experience than "go fend for yourself." Because of this, they lost a good tipper, and a possible loyal customer.

This theme restaurant was not too overdone and that was pretty nice. The steak display was interesting decor. We were greeted quickly with a friendly smile. Since we had never eaten there, the greeter told us about ordering. There is a walk-up order counter self serve and a sit down restaurant. We chose the sit down. Prompt friendly service. Some nice small things like large glasses of water and chilled salad bowls. The bread was good and served with a cinnamon honey butter. Two rolls each and very warm and fresh. The green salad was very generous, fresh and crisp. For sides we had the chili and the corn. Both were quite good although the chili had a grainy texture that I found unappealing. The main show is the steaks and we both had the ribeye. They were excellent, cooked to order, not tough and with a good mix of meat and fat. There was a good choice of menu items beside steak and they offered more than the usual three sides of potato, slaw or beans. There were several other choices although okra, a Texas favorite, wasn't one of them. We enjoyed our meal. Western music was a tad too loud but that's probably just us. You could still hear your companion.

We came in a couple of months ago for the first time and we loved it, good margaritas and great food. The extra Patron shot is what drew me to them,. However, when we came in on Saturday with a party of 8 it was a whole different experience. We couldn't get any service at the table, We had to get our own utensils from other tables, it was like pulling teeth to get someone's attention so I could get another margarita, and then the girl was being really pushy about when I paid for my drinks. When we came a couple of months ago, we weren't pushed to pay for the drinks right then and there. they brought us a check for them when we were done and we paid all at once for the drinks. The wait staff this time were all sitting on their butts, There were several booths with wait staff just sitting around and chit chatting. My step dad asked for rolls and told them we needed 8 of them, They only brought us three, so they were told yet again, um no there's 8 of us, then they brought 3 more, does no one at this restaurant know how to add? It shouldn't take 3 tries to get 8 rolls to the table. I asked for my burger well done, I wanted it DEAD and it was brought to me bloody, I almost threw up right there, it was so disgusting. I sent the burger back and it took another half hour till I got it back, by that point my mom had shared her sandwich with me and I was no longer hungry. The food quality has gone way down hill in the two months from the last time we were there. I will never go back, I will stick to going to the Original RoadHouse Grill on Main street, where the rolls are way better and the staff actually stays on top of their customers. I do have to say that this was the worst service I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Had the service been good, there would have been a very nice tip, as my step dad tips exceptionally well. They missed out!

I happened to be in town visiting family and they asked where I would like to eat (was my birthday). I heard there was a Texas Roadhouse there now and told them some of the best meals I have ever had were at the one in Billings, MT. We showed up and the server quickly took our drink order. I ordered the rib eye which came out all marbled and delicious. They actually let me pick out the steak in the meat case similar to the ones in a grocery store. We all ordered a salad as well which came with more items than a lot of places now a days. Then after dinner the whole crew came out and had me get up on this wooden horse while they sang me happy birthday. I know it is corny but that's what we did when I was a server back at Applebee's and it really does add a cool twist to your special day. Our server was on the ball whenever we needed a refill or anything else. Although its a large chain I feel they do a good job from quality to customer service.......Well Done Guys!

Fist time at a Texas Roadhouse, not used to ordering then seating myself, but went quickly and easily. We were lucky enough to be in Kelcie's section, she was fun, fast, and great to talk to. Even though they were very busy, she never rushed us. Food was good, portions were large, 3 out of 4 of us took some home. Enjoyed the visit, don't live in the area but will be back

Not a fan of the new service format. We've eaten at Texas Roadhouses all across the country. We give gift certificates for the restaurants to friends and people that work for us. It's been a go-to place for consistent food and predictably good service. Yes, during peak hours, there is usually a wait, but we call ahead to get listed and/or just sit and talk and enjoy the time while waiting. In their efforts to reduce (?) or streamline (?) the experience for their customers, TR has introduced the Texas Two Step service format at some restaurants, including this restaurant in Medford. Essentially, you enter the restaurant, get in a Disneyland type of line, and work your way up to a counter where you place your ENTIRE order -- drinks included. You get a beeper, and then its up to you to find a vacant table when one is available. Good luck when it's really busy. Good luck if you're there with someone that has any special needs such as needing a chair space instead of a booth. You may never get to eat. What the "greeter" didn't tell us and may not tell you, is that there is a handful of tables in the very back (4 or 5 tables? --- seriously, very few), that are full-serve tables. HOWEVER, they are first come first serve, so you still have to wait your turn and then HOPE and PRAY that one is available so that you can have the opportunity to be served. The good news is that this format appears to be a lot better for some of the staff. We sat across from another booth and watched 6 or 8 TR staff slide in or out of that one -- or just crowd around it -- during the entire time we were there -- casually chatting with each other and snacking. In all fairness, other staff in the restaurant were quite busy and focused on their tasks. My husband noticed when we drove up to the restaurant that none of the handicapped spaces were taken. There is a reason for this. This new service format is NOT disabled persons friendly. There is no service provision to provide full service for disabled persons that may not be able to stand in long-wait lines and then wander around looking for tables. We were told that disabled persons do not have any priority for tables with chairs or for the few self serve tables in the back. (Really? Was this just staff ignorance maybe?). My husband ordered a "medium well" steak with extra char and his arrived medium rare -- if that, with no char whatsoever. I ordered a San Antonio chicken salad, which although quite beautiful, had less than 1 ounce of chicken on it. Another patron passing by actually commented on the lack of chicken on my salad -- they were so glad they hadn't ordered one. All in all, it was an extremely disappointing experience. If TR continues to implement the "Texas Two Step" service across their other restaurants, we will not be returning. I will be calling first to find out before going to another one.

I was in Medford visiting a friend who was here on business. We set out to go to the Outback. I saw the Texas Roadhouse and asked my buddy if he had ever eaten there. He hadn't so we gave it a shot. This was different from my last visit to a Texas Roadhouse but other than a little awkwardness when ordering things went ok. I was a little concerned when paying as you have to pretty much leave your tip ahead of teim before you get service which is wierd. The rolls were hot and good. The steak I ordered was a ribeye which was pretty good, I know a ribeye is a fattier cut but there was a lot of fat on my steak that I had to cut off. As for the service, food and drinks were delivered in a timely manner but pretty much forgotten after that. My buddy likes to ruin his steaks with A1 and our bottle was empty, the next table I grabbed theirs it was empty we had to go to a thrid table to borrow a bottle of A1. Um I would think this would be part of a closing and opening task list? I didn't really like the no service issue. Maybe I am just used to a server asking me questions when they see me put a bite of food in my mouth so I awkwardly have to chew and answer at the same time. Overall this was okay, we wished we would have gone to the Outback but this one isn't as good from a service standpoint as other Texas Roadhouse's I have been to before.

The place is relatively new to the Medford area and I know they're chain. However, I was very pleased with the food. You seat yourself and get your own drinks. The food was very good. The Roadhouse is the only restaurant I found in the area that actually serves you a burger cooked medium. All the other establishments around here will ask you how you want your burger cooked, but it will ALWAYS come back well done. Why ask me? It had become joke between me and my friends trying to find a place that cooked a burger to order. The Texas Roadhouse was the first place we found in the area that actually did it!

This was our first experience and even though the food was good we encountered a few frustrations. There was a problem with how the steak my son ordered arrived at the table he ordered it medium well and I was almost rare. We were with a party of 10 we were told that there was no accommodations for that many to be seated together we had to sit at separate tables we also ask for rolls and we had almost finished our meal when the rolls arrived and the staff did not come by and check if we need anything regularly.

What a major disappointment when our little Medford needs another choice for family dining. The blossom onion appetizer was cold and sitting under lights. The sauce that accompanied it was like gel and did not go on the onion pieces easily and the whole thing was tasteless. The mashed potatoes were a huge portion and majorly oversalted as was the beef tips and greenbeans. The beans were limp and everything tasted like it had been sitting for a long time under warmlights. Nothing tasted fresh, even the rolls were tasteless. Far cry from what we expected. To add injury to insult, the girl who goes by each table to ask if everything is ok, did not respond when we told her the problems with the food. She was robotic and said her husband loves the big portions there. A lot of tasteless oversalted food with no service and ordered up and given to us cafeteria style. UGH, never again, can't we get a Pinheiros here??? Always fresh and always Good, shut this place down and bring on a really good restaurant. Definintely, a Roadhouse Grill "wannabe". I have $25 of useless food in my refrigerator that I took home to throw out! People giving this place a good review must work there or be family and friends that work there and they are trying to give it a good review so people will go there and they can keep their jobs. this place is desperate!

Good food, great service. Very friendly greeters and servers. Wasn't expecting to order my meal at a counter, but it was ok. The server who delivered our meal asked us to cut into our steaks so he could ensure that they were prepared satisfactorily. Perfectly. We were grateful for his attentiveness. The manager stopped by to check on us. An excellent experience ... and I am very picky about my steak.

Went for dinner shortly after they opened. Food was slightly above average but nothing special, restaurant very noisy, personally didn't care for the cinnamon butter but the other half liked it. Meal came to the table quickly but with all the servers walking up and down the aisle, could not get the attention of anyone to ask for regular butter, feels like you're rushed in and out. Texas Roadhouse is definitely NOT a place to linger and relax with friends due to excessive noise levels.

I've ordered food to go 3 times from this restaurant. It has been consistantly great. I have settled on the half rack of ribs, a sweet potato, and a cup of chili. This place is like what The Original Roadhouse used to be like only way better. The ribs are meaty and tender with a very good BBQ sauce. They serve a whole sweet potato not a half of one like The Original Roadhouse has changed to. Their chili is rich with meat and beans and tastes great. The meal also comes with 4 freshly baked rolls. This meal is a ton of food for a very reasonable price. My orders have always been correct, ready on time, and the person giving me my order has always been very friendly and helpful. I will continue to come back on a regular basis.

Went there last night for our 14th wedding anniversary. Had read about having to order at the counter, but that they also had a sit down and be served area too. As soon as we entered we were greeted in friendly manner and handed a menu. We asked for the sit down area and were told that area is very limited and full at the time. We decided to try the counter. As others have written, the place was noisy to the point I could not here the next person we encountered that was collecting the menus we were handed. We were shuffled along to the counter to place our order in a more than hurry up fashion. I ordered the ribeye and my wife the sirloin. With all the noise and hurried atmosphere we ended up forgetting to order the smothered in mushrooms options we were planning on. We were handed a blooming cactus and told to go find a table. Maybe 1 minute later we hand our drinks in hand which was nice but our steaks were on the table before we had a chance to eat two pieces of the onion. The noise continued to take away the sit down and have a comfortable setting to enjoy an anniversary meal we were hoping for. My steak appeared to be cooked perfect but the first bite was way too salty. I figured it was because of the salt covered baked potato it was beside had gotten some salt on the meat. However, the over salty favor continued throughout the steak. My wife said her sirloin was OK. The green vegetable was watery and not worth eating. We ordered the baked potato loaded and neither of us think there was any sour cream or butter on the potato. Lot's of cheese and bacon though. There appeared to be a lot of servers on the floor to help and I have to commend Carson as being very friendly. I am not sure how getting a second margarita would work. Carson was too young to serve it and how do I pay. I guess I would have to get in line, order it, pay for it and sit back down. With the hurry up and finish and everything atmosphere, we did not even want to think about ordering a dessert. Overall, not a great anniversary meal. Like the others said, if I wanted Sizzler I would have went there. I really hope they do away with ordering at the counter and give us a relaxing restaurant rather than an indoor drive thru. We won't be there for the 15th anniversary.

My family and I were so excited to hear that Texas Roadhouse opened up in medford. We are origionaly from the Sacramento area and frequented Texas Roadhouse. We took a trip to medford from brookings and decided to order our food to go. I sent my husband in to pick up our dinner which they made him wait an additional 20 minutes for our food. The staff was rude and very over whelmed. My husband brought our food back to our hotel and in that short drive our food was cold, we had no silver wear or napkins and the ketchup I requested when I called for my sons meal wasn't there. I called Texas Roadhouse back and complained and I was informed its against Texas roadhouses policy to give silver wear in to go orders. I then informed the lady that I have never heard of that and I frequently have ordered from Texas Roadhouse. She then told me to drive back and pick some up which I declined. The only reason I gave three stars instead of 1 is because the steak was good once I heated it up and the Texas Roadhouse in elk groove, ca is always amazing.

We've been to several Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the Midwest and always enjoyed the food. Now it's not fine dining but it's an ok mid price place. We were pleased to see a location opening here in Medford. We waited several weeks to go so the "newness" would wear off. What a disappointment! Their system of standing in line to order, then finding a table really sucked. We enjoy going out to dinner, having a cocktail, chatting a bit, then ordering dinner and leisurely enjoying the whole experience. That's a little hard to do when you are standing in a long line with a whole bunch of other people. Then when you finally sit down, boom, your food is there! No leisurely dining here - and it didn't help that the appetizer we ordered came after our salads and our entrees. It was only after I told the server - who was pleasant enough - how disappointed we were that we basically had to eat and run that we learned there is a section where you can be served. Much more to our liking but I doubt we'll be back. Also, while they advertise a "full" bar, their selections, other than beer, are extremely limited. The Roadhouses we have previously visited actually did have a full bar.

Service was excellent! Food was delicious! The hurricane margarita was probably the best margarita I've ever had! The best part about this place probably was the minimal price I had to pay to get so much food and good service. Our waiter was on point! He had a great answer to every question we had and did I mention the food was excellent?! Ya I'll be back

So, don't expect your typical Texas Roadhouse (or any steak house really) experience here. It's called a "2-step roadhouse" aka.... you order your food when you get in then go find your own seat and get your own drink. Kinda like a fast food place. I would say like Sizzler, but at least Sizzler brings you your drinks and gets you boxes for your food. I'm still not entirely sure about how I feel about that set up.... With that said, it is a nice place, not to noisy, nice decor. We had a good time, nice little date night place. Most Texas roadhouses give you a bucket of peanuts, and after shelling them you throw them on the floor. This one has buckets to put the shells in. The food was really good, the baked sweet potato was awesome! The servers were very friendly. We had a great time there over all. Check it out... and get your two step on! ... oh and don't let them forget your rolls!

This is the only Texas Road House I've even been in, but I really like it! It is right down the street from my house, so it's my go to bbq place. The staff is friendly, the rolls are amazing, and love their filet mignon and their chicken fried steak. This is one of the only chain restaurants that I will repeatedly go to in the Medford area. I also like that they offer coke zero in their beverage choices! They recently changed their format so that now it is a full order restaurant instead of an order and pay at the counter type place. I kind of liked it better the other way because you could pay, eat, and then leave without having to wait forever for the server to bring you the check, and the service was never lacking. But, the new format is okay too. I love having a place that plays country music and has a down home country feel!

Texas Roadhouse has excellent food and service but I do not understand why the music has to be do loud you cannot hear the people in your party talking. Let's lower it a few decibels.

We took our two kids here and had a great time with a fantastic dinner! My husband and I ordered the prime rib and my kids ate steak bites... No meat was left on any plates :) Everything, especially the service and rolls, was perfect. Looking forward to coming back.

I have been to a few of these restaurants but this one took the cake! Our waitress Kara was on top of everything! Our glasses were never empty and our food was cooked to perfection. I just finished telling my husband that this was our best steak experience yet. We ordered appetizers as well and they were just as AWESOME. If we're ever in this area again we'll definitely be back!

Came in at 7:30pm saturday and was seated promptly, but the waitress we had was covering too many tables. We keep having to look for her for refills, more napkins etc. The food took over 40 minutes to arrived, she barely check back with us on water refills, had to remind her twice that we still have not received our entrees. Wasn't a very good experience at this Texas road house.

Arrived in the bar around 6:30pm on a Tuesday, fantastic table service, waitress was cute energetic and full knowledge of the menu. My wife got the steak and salad with mashed potatoes side dish, cooked exactly right , I ordered steak with mushrooms and a baked potato loaded with a side salad (blue cheese) Salad arrives and it was ranch dressing on mine, and they forgot my wife's salad, so a 5 minute delay (I'm half done eating salad and hers arrives) they ask you to cut into you steak as it arrived to the table (ensures proper wellness) my steak was rare, not medium well like ordered, so it went back to kitchen whilst I ate my potato and mushrooms completely gone before steak came back, so then they brought new mushrooms to go with steak (which was correct at medium well). All the while server was awesome and attentive and VERY apologetic (wasn't her fault) the food timing was awful but so delicious...I really hate when that happens. The rolls are so good too. I will continue to eat here...just wish they had Pepsi products

Last year we did a kind of Texas Roadhouse, road tour on one of our road trips. So, it was surprising to see one in Medford. I don't like the way this one is set up. It is like Sizzler, the way they line you up. The waitress told my husband that it is a '2 step' Texas Roadhouse, which means that it is snaked line to order. The Texas Roadhouse vibe is completely lost on this place. The food is pretty much the same, but they lost the rest at the door, especially, with the prices being the same as other one's. Service was fine and the food was good, typical TR grub. I did see on their website they are opening another location in Eugene, Oregon in November. I didn't see if it is one of the smaller 2 Step locations. Maybe knowing it is different when you go in here, you won't have the initial shock of what you are used to when dining at TR.

I have spoken with the owner Matt and we discussed my concerns. He has already made changes and is taking my thoughts seriously and is making things right. I hope Texas Roadhouse returns back to its former amazing place! We will make a return trip to see if things have improved.

What a fun place to dine! I knew it was going to be great because when you walk in there's barrels of roasted peanuts and peanut shells on the floor! It's a bit noisy but worth it. The food was great. Drinks were good. Service was average. We will be coming back!

Over the past decade we've visited a few dozen Texas Roadhouse locations. We try to avoid chains, but because this spot tends to be open late sometimes we have no choice but to dine here. Many of Texas Roadhouses location are average at best. Meanwhile, we were surprised to stumble upon such quality service here. Our waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Fortunately, the food was better than the normally average entrees we've been accustomed to here. We each ordered different burgers, which tasted fresh, hand-padded and delivered flavor. The sides weren't bad, either. In this part of Medford, there's few places that rival the burgers, steaks and chicken that cooked here. You can bet it's going to be much better than Buffalo Wild Wings. And, while BWW's might offer more TVs and a better atmosphere, you'll find better food here.

You walk in and there's a barrel of peanuts that you can eat as you wait to be seated. The shells were strewn on the floor. That sets you up for what kind of place this is. My BF got a 20 oz rib eye with his two sides of buttered corn and cup of chili. I wanted ribs and chicken combo so I got a Grilled BBQ chicken breast with 3 baby back ribs, two sides were house salad and steak fries. I expected the BBQ ribs and chicken to be like Lucille's BBQ chain in CA because I've actually enjoyed them at Lucille's. I'm not a BBQ connoisseur by any means because I rarely crave BBQ but tonight was the night and it didn't meet my expectation unfortunately. Free bread - good. Comes with cinnamon butter which can be overpowering. Use in moderation. Fried pickles with ranch - I only had a few bites. It was interesting and new so it was good but I didn't crave to eat more. House salad - decent size. I got my own vinegar and oil to make my own dressing. But I saw other people get their dressing on the side which is a nice to have for calorie control. Ribs - the meat fell off the rib, like literally slipped off, the moment I cut the ribs apart. I wanted to be able to tear into some moist tender juicy meat like at the chain restaurant but that's not what I got... 3 pieces. BBQ chicken - mine was dry meat slathered in a bit of BBQ sauce it seemed like. Steak fries - didn't seem like freshly cut and cooked. I may be wrong but I've made my own steak fries and the texture is definitely different when you make the fries from scratch. Oh and it was pretty salty. 20 oz ribeye - medium rare. My bfs dish. It was good. Buttered corn - a bit salty Chili - solid Good potions. $18 for my combination which isn't bad. Flavor wise-- well let's just say I didn't leave feeling happy after fully enjoying my meal. Maybe it has to do with what I chose as my meal? Texas is known for steak after all.

*UPDATE* Steak cooked to order, is starting to fail, but still edible. They got rid of "the line" process, so now the entire floor is full service dining, which helps save everyone from the confusion. Anyway, it's a steak kinda place. They need to get the steaks cooked right.

My kids wanted to come so we did. They have table service now which was a relief to me when we got there. This place is basically Roadhouse but with more TVs. First off, service was slow and kind of awful. The waitress was very young and knew nothing about the food or drinks. She was nice though, when she was there. My son ordered the kids steak meal. He asked for it rare, which is how we eat it at home and how he likes it. Suddenly, the manager comes to the table to tell me it is corporate policy that anyone under 12 cannot order any steak prepared under medium well. So he can have it well or medium well. Not even medium?! What da hell? I'm his parent. I authorized him getting his steak at least a little pink. They refused. My son turned to me and said he gives this place a big thumbs down. Ironically after all that, they still managed to serve him the wrong dish... Instead he was served overcooked pieces of cut up steak in a bowl. Yes, he noticed it was not the steak he had ordered. Since it took an hour to be served from the time I ordered it and it was nearing bedtime for my sleepy kids, I wasn't about to make them replace it. My other kid did not touch his food because he fell asleep in my lap waiting so long for it that by the time it came, and then he just wanted to go home and go to bed. This place is pretty crappy and I would not return and thankfully, I think this made a lasting bad impression on my sons, two future consumers.

I have never walked out of a restaurant before but I did yesterday. We stopped at Texas Roadhouse, Medford yesterday on the way home to California from a northern trip. My husband and I ordered, we received biscuits, water and a salad. Over 1/2 an hour later main meal still hadn't arrived, but our server was busy hauling a birthday saddle on wheels to another table so that a birthday song could be sung by all employees.Meanwhile we are hungry and wanting to be on our way. We left money on the table and left. The experience left a very bad taste in our mouth. The biscuits were too sweet, the bucket of peanuts had empty shells in it( I guess people don't get the concept of another empty bucket for empty shells, gross). The employees were running around like crazy. This place is a mess.

I give it 5 stars and I'll tell you why. No place is perfect, my wife happened to find a hair in her food and so we alerted the staff. Both the waitress and manager returned apologizing profusely and told us exactly what action they were going to take to fix this. The Manager comped my wife's rather expensive meal and told us he was heading directly to the kitchen to oversee her new meal be cooked and to speak with the cooking staff. Sure enough, we could see him from our table talking sternly to the cooking staff in the kitchen, Great service and food.

I saw this place driving on the way back to our cabin from a long day at Crater Lake. It was 9:30pm and we still had another thirty minutes before getting home. Given that we didn't have dinner yet, I saw the red neon light up sign and said, "Hey have you guys ever heard of Texas Roadhouse?" Our driver enthusiastically goes, "They have a Texas Roadhouse here in Oregon? We have to go." It didn't take much convincing for us, and as soon as we said "ok" we made a U-turn to go back to the restaurant. As soon as we got in, I see stray peanut shells on the floor. Nelson (our enthusiastic driver) says that they serve free peanuts and people throw the shells on the floor-- that's their trademark. Upon approaching the cashier, we saw the cuts of meat in the display case and instantly our hunger pangs hit us. It had been a long 6 hours since we had last eaten and besides the snacking we were doing in the car, we had no real food. Poor us, I know. The cashier was super friendly making lots of suggestions and we finally decided to share a combo plate with pulled pork and baby back ribs. We chose a baked potatoe and steamed broccoli and carrots in a garlic butter sauce. Can you say YUM? The meat from the baby back ribs were falling off the bone-- tender and crisp with a semi sweet barbecue sauce brushed on top. The pulled pork was good as well, although not as good as the baby back ribs. I wish I could say that I had something healthy at this meal but even the brocolli and carrots were drenched in the garlic butter sauce--They were so good. Oh well, at least I got my veggies in for the day. The baked potato was piled to the brim with sour cream, bacon and chives. I drank a cherry lime soda (yes I felt like indulging in some soda) and this was served in a tall glass cup with a cherry floating on top of the ice. Super refreshing. I'm giving this place 5 stars not only for the good food but the stellar service. The waitresses, cashiers, and hostesses made us all feel super welcome and made sure we were taken care of. I'm definitely coming back if I happen to see another Texas Roadhouse on the road.

Sooo disappointing! When they first opened service was excellent. It's gone steadily down hill until today when we walked out. They've gone from order at the register to "full service" which was a mistake. After being nearly groped by the hostesses we sat for 10 minutes with a parade of waiters, bussers and other employees fastidiously ignoring us. We finally left. The worst part is the food is excellent and I will miss eating there. They have nailed the cook on our steaks every time sides are excellent.

It has a great steak and amazing sides. It's a crowed chaotic environment where the server I had ironically had a shirt that said "I love my job" but honestly the staff aren't always quick on there feet. I ordered an appetizer and revived it with my meal.

My wife loves the margaritas at this chain, so while driving back to Washington, and resting for the night, we stopped and visited this location. For this to be a chain, the food is always great. I ordered the cowboy steak and wifey ordered the salmon, Both meals were very good. Thanks guys for another amazing dish.

Tonites experience-lackluster at best. So, the wifie decided on roadhouse for her birthday dinner. Great... Loud place works well for us to drown out our loud kids- works good I thought. To her credit, our waitress (Brianna?... Didn't keep receipt, my bad) was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our cocktails, app and salads all arrived in a reasonable time and were good. But, at least an hour passed before even getting our entrees! Having waited tables for many years, I do know how the front of the house and back of the house can work, or fail to as well. The kiddos were getting restless and tired of watching YouTube asking when dinner was, "we're starving" I decided to seek out management. Apparently my steak was overcooked and my sons Mac n cheese was burnt so they were re firing the order. The male manager assured me they were aware of the issue and would take care of us. Finally our meals arrived, everything was decent- my steak was spot on medium-, however, my sons Mac n cheese was still frigid cold in the middle! Poor kid, we boxed everything up quickly and headed home to make him some dinner as bedtime was about an hour away at this point. To their credit- the waittress was great given the situation and I totally understand things happen behind the scenes in a restaurant. Surprisingly- Management comped the whole food bill, leaving us to only pay for the cocktails. I tipped the waittress based on the pre comped bill, but felt bad for her as her back of the house team dropped the ball. My wife left her birthday dinner without the "yee haw" hoplah and the waitress missed out on a bigger bill as we would've had dessert afterwards. Had to go home and not only make a dinner for our son, but come up with a dessert to celebrate wifies special day... Thank god we threw her an epic house party the night before w lots of friends, family, great cocktails...complete w stripper pole and then the rest of the night out dancing w the girls!....Guess that was my only saving grace after such a disappointing birthday dinner out

for a chain, I have to give it props. I had the filet salad and the filet was excellent, perfectly medium rare, and the bleu cheese was tangy and plentiful. The salad greens did not taste of metal hotel pans. I was completely satisfied for a light dinner.

This Texas Roadhouse is very unusual. You get in line, order food, pay for your food, and then you find yourself a table. They give you a buzz thing so the waitstaff knows where to deliver your food. Pluses to this strange setup: - You get your own drinks - You get seated faster - Your food arrives faster

Once again I took my brother to HIS favorite steak house for his birthday. Once again, it was noisy, crowded, and, even though we called an hour ahead as instructed, we had to wait almost an hour before our table for ten could be ready. My brother's steak was fine, but the catfish leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, I was hard pressed to find the fish among the coating. We've given TRH three tries and were disappointed three times. Next time we are going to Porters. Our server, John, was the saving grace last night.

This was the first time that myself and two friends had ate here, I received a gift card for this place and decided why not try it? I feel bad that i dragged others along with me for them to pay out of pocket for food that we couldn't even finish. First off we had to be asked to be seated so that we could review the menu being this was the first time we had ever been there and there was no line so we were being rushed to decide. After ordering we received our fried pickle app.... which was obviously frozen.... we all ate about two and never touched them again.... they were dry and tasted nothing of a pickle. After a wait that seemed way to long for it not being busy and us ordering burgers.... we finally received our food. We all took one bite and looked at each other.... plastic cheese, frozen patties, rubbery bacon, and the char broil taste was so strong it was almost as if the grill wasnt clean. Only one of us was able to eat half their burger before stopping, while the other two only took a couple bites before being done. Instead we ate our fries which were also frozen sysco steak fries, cold, soggy, and unsalted. We paid and left.... leaving pretty much our whole meal sitting on the table. Left feeling sick and even though we had ate barely anything, we had no appetite. Needless to say we will never return.

I figured we would try this place again as we loved it so much in Missouri and trying it on opening weekend here isn't necessarily fair. We arrived around 5:30 and the line was out the door. It moved very quickly though and we ordered and found a booth in about 15 to 20 minutes. Our salads arrived right away and were very tasty. Of course the bucket of peanuts is always appreciated. Our main course arrived shortly after. It is very hard to find a place that can cook a steak the way it is requested and this place was no different. I ordered my steak medium as did my daughter. My wife likes her's well done. Mine came out perfect. My daughter's was rare and my wife's was medium. It is nice that they have you cut me to it right away so they can take it back if needed. Overall not very impressed. My ribs were overdone, the veggies were underdone. My daughter's mashed potatoes were half potato, half butter. She couldn't eat them with all the butter on them. I hate to end on a bad note so: the wait staff was very efficient and very friendly. Great customer service. This took my rating from a 2 star to 3 star. Very bummed about this place not living up to the standards we had come to expect from the store in Liberty Missouri.

Hint: call ahead and make reservations. They get very busy at dinner time, even on a weekday. Great experience. As you walk in the staff are very friendly and seat you right away. The menu has so much to offer. But first you must eat a beautiful roll with cinnamon butter, and snack on peanuts. I am not a steak person, but the rest of the party was and enjoyed ordering and being served "to perfection" I had the catfish. I LOVE catfish! The portions are very generous (as they should be). So many sides, its hard to make a choice. I had a baked potato and mushrooms. I will go back.

This review is tough for me because I LOVE texas roadhouse normally.... lets just start by saying this texas roadhouse is nothing like the other ones around the country (and no thats not a good thing). We walked in and was confused by the layout of the restaurant. We had read a review before going in that u could sit in the bar if you want the full dining experience but there was no sign ....or ANYTHING indicating where to go or whether we had to ask for a table...so we ended up waiting in line for 20 min just to be told the bar is open seating. After choosing a table (which had no plates or silverware- we figured our waitress would bring them with our appetizer). We asked for snake bites (apparently this location only has 3 appetizers....) so already disappointed we went with the cheesy potatoe skins...at a normal roadhouse the skins are half baked potatoes with real cheddar cheese and bacon....these skins were half deep fried potatoes covered in some sort of nacho cheese sauce.... (tasted disgusting) asked the manager to please take it back as it wasn't what we were expecting...we had to ask for rolls because they werent brought to us by this point in the meal (rolls were chewy and cold.....where normally they are hot and soft?)... my salad arrived shortly after that and tasted like it had been soaked in water (lettuce was literally dripping). At this point we had to get up and get silverware and plates from another table because we still didn't have any. After pushing the salad aside we received our meals- smothered chicken and bbq chicken (which were both just OK. not terrible but also not up to par with other roadhouses). Service was terrible in the bar area. -no silverware or plates -my boyfriends water was not refilled at all (he ended up drinking mine....luckily I had wine-which also wasnt refilled until I flagged down another waiter) -we were not checked on...kept having to stop people After all of this....they charged us for the potatoe skins!!! The ones we didnt even eat and sent back! We told the waitress we would NOT pay for something we did not eat. She acted annoyed and took it off the check. Then after the check she said can u please fill ot out real quick....I need to add up my tips and go home.....wtf....normally we are big tippers (15-30% depending on service)....so honestly it might be awhile before we hit a tx roadhouse again (normally go 2-3x a month).....so disappointed. Walked out being mad I had paid for all of that!!!!!

I gotta give this Texas Roadhouse 5 stars because I like the way you order the food. Pay at register, receive a table pager, and you just go find a table yourself. Your food will be brought over to you. There's a waiter in each section that will accommodate your further needs. The food has been great each time I've visited. The staff is VERY nice and helpful.

Perfect example of dont believe everything people say/write reviews. Wife and I traveling read reviews on yelp and almost didnt go Which would of been huge mistake. Yes you have to pay before sitting. So what. When we were done didnt have to find/wait for our waiter. When they brought the steaks he said cut it open and make sure its cooked the way you want it. Really oh my god have never had restaurant do that before it was awesome. And yes both steaks were perfect. Always remember judge for yourself dont let someone judge for you. Next medford trip definitely coming back.

This was our first visit to this establishment, first and foremost, it's not for large groups. There were 15 of us and we all sat at different tables so it was almost like we didn't come in together. Waiting in line to order does not give you that friendly, cozy, country feeling. Instead you feel like part of an assembly line. The food is not anything to wrote home about. I had the prime rib, it was cooked to medium, nice and pink, however it was tough like shoe leather. You could tell it was not a good quality cut of meat. Salad was like bagged salad you get at the grocery store, ribs were just ok and the fries were super salty. The quality of the meat at this establishment really concerns me. It just doesn't seem fresh and it seems treated with hormones. Gave it 2 stars because the yeast rolls were tasty, and didn't have any issues with the service like others had. My advice to you if you want a steak...go to the butcher shop in Eagle Point and buy your own and grill it at home, or hit up Sizzler or Outback. We probably won't ever come back.

This is not a review for the food, although I must say I love their Pulled Pork and all of their food. This is a review for their online gift certificate process. It is not user friendly at all. It allows you to add a photo which is a nice touch but they have to send you two emails. One email is a confirmation that they have charged your card which only took about 2 seconds to receive. The second email is supposed to be the ecard that I wanted to print out myself and insert into a nice card to the retiree. I am still waiting for that and it has been 2 1/2 hours or more. This is all done electronically right?!!! I could have driven 35 miles to town and hand delivered one that I bought in person from the restaurant faster than this.

Steaks are good. Margaritas are good. Service is terrible every time I've been here. Dirty plates piled on the table. No silverware given. Had to ask. And ask for plates for appetizers. Left the table to go to the bar and bar was dirty, not cleaned for at least 20 min since people were there. We sat down and they didn't even bother to clean it.

We thought we would give this place a try because it was new. When we went inside I started looking for a place to sit down, but was told by a waiter I needed to order first. We ordered, found a table and set down. A waiter came by and told us if we wanted drinks we would have to serve ourselves at the drink bar. The food was ok and I wondered if the waiters expected tips when they stood around visiting with each other and really never served the customers. When we left we agreed we would never go back.

Food was excellent.. However.. If I'm going to pay $70+ for a meal for 4.. I want you to take my order while I'm sitting down perusing the menu.. Not standing in line craning my neck to see the menu on a TV screen.. Felt hurried to order or lose a place in line.. Then get my drinks and search for a table!! Not my idea of a great place.. BOO!! I only rated it a 3 because the food is great!

Texas Roadhouse Medford Or - Worst most disappointing experience My wife, 5 y/o daughter and I visited this restaurant in the middle of the week at beginning of August with great excitement because not only do we love food but we like trying new experiences! We are fairly easy to please and will look for the good in our journey as you might note from other reviews we post. As we entered the restaurant I was shocked to see the pathway to the cashier was set-up like the waiting lines at an amusement park, serpentining back and forth until you reach the front of the line. As you walk along you can peruse the menus that are hanging on the wall (described in other reviews as Sizzler style or buffet ordering) but if they are not busy you don't really get a lot of time to review the choices before reaching the cashier as the door staff were pushing everyone forward. Once at the cashier it does resemble a cafeteria style process (as described by others - I should have read the reviews first!) - we ordered a Blossom onion and received it right away, not just surprising to me since we didn't have a table yet but more surprising it was immediately available. The rolls - same thing, handed to us to carry while looking for a table. With this style service, I suggest you take the time to consider everything you might need as this is the time to order drinks and desserts - my daughter did great with her meal and we were going to surprise her with dessert but now the line was out to the door and I opted to take her to another restaurant for the surprise. We were lucky to find a table right away but there were other customers walking around awhile looking for somewhere to sit - carrying their "stuff" looking. Our table was the first in the row and the servers were placing items on the edge above my daughters and my heads - distracting and concerning since I have experienced things dropped on us in the past. It was handy though because they were easily called to our table since our server checked on us only twice during our visit - she didn't even bring our meal. Finally a chance to dive into our onion... IT WAS COLD and soggy! My wife then told me she saw them stacked in the window and that is how we received it so quickly. She also noted that the side dishes (corn, potatoes, etc.) were also sitting up there waiting for the servers to add these to the meat plate... again, cafeteria style. WOW was I disappointed. I finally attracted someone to tell them about our onion - and as my wife predicted, they brought another from the window with same results. Disappointed but wanting an onion I requested one made. It did finally arrive 5 minutes after our meal which arrived pretty quickly after we sat down (why such fast food??). Over all, the Blossom onion was okay but there wasn't enough horseradish sauce and by the time more was brought we were done with the main course so eating the appetizer was moot. Oh, the apology for such a mess of an onion did not appear very heartfelt - more of a dedication to their desire to provide excellent food and not how sorry they were for the display I witnessed. Overall the meal was okay; I had the New York (contained a lot of fat - not marbling, fat) and my wife the filet which both had seasoning that was extra salty for our taste; we both ordered medium rare and received medium but we were NOT about to request different because of lack of service. Needless to say, a long anticipated desire for new experience was very disappointing. As someone else described in their post, the excessive noisy environment and design of service did not allow us to have a relaxing style dinner we were looking for. This Texas Roadhouse definitely was not our cup-of-tea.
