So I did a ton of research for an awesome thai joint in Medford and after reading teviews I decided this is the place! So we walked into a dumpy hole in the wall which I am totally into! We are sat and the server brings waters and menus quite promptly... the place has a funky weird smell to it but whatever I'm a weird smeller person! I looked at the menu and was bummed to see a bunch of stuff was crossed out! No Angel Wings, their cheese puffs are actually like egg rolls the were good but missing garlic! We ordered butterfly shrimp and they were out too. So we decided to get pineapple fried rice and a soup, Tom Ka Kai! The pineapple fried rice was pretty tasty! The pineapples were canned but I think thats why I liked it so much! They were sweeter and gave the plate a nice flavor! It also had raisins which at first I was hesitant but soon fell in love! The soup was really really delicious! Over other places ive been to, the soup was very hearty! Thats a plus!! The broth was spot on! My mom hates cilantro so we always have them put none in the dishes but I like it on the side! I mean how can you eat asian and not like cilantro or spicy stuff. Oh well I comprise! Well guess what they were out of???? CILANTRO! Geez! I didn't make a big deal of it because I figured since they are closed on Sunday they weed out there stock and I am "S.O.L" So dont go on a Saturday night and expect to eat what you want! The water was horrible. It tasted like a fish tank... yuck! I ordered a thai Iced Coffee and yhey pre make it in the back so you dont get to watch it drip in frontbof u ou but that was cool with me! Next time I'm up in Medford I will try out a competitor!

I came here randomly as I was passing through Medford and I'm really glad I did. The staff is really friendly, and the portions ate very generous, but best of all, the Pad Thai is *amazing*!

Found this little, family owned place from the yelp reviews. Great service, fabulous food for the middle Oregon. Will Come back when I'm in town again. A great find. Try the larb. Yummmm!

Stopped by on a road trip and was very pleasantly surprised! We ordered Mixed Vegetables with Tofu, Mixed Vegetables Soup, and Chicken Pad Thai. All were pretty good; the Pad Thai was one of the best I've ever had. Being from LA, I've tried my fair share of Pad Thais and am glad to say that this one wasn't too sweet or saucy and had tender, flavorful pieces of chicken. Our server was very kind and attentive. We went in around 8pm and stayed past 9pm, which is when the restaurant closes. We were able to comfortably finish our meal without being rushed out! The restaurant (meaning the whole building, tables, and booths) seems a bit old but is kept very clean. Also, yay for free, yummy peppermint candies on the way out! If I'm ever back in Medford, I'll be sure to stop by Tasty Thai again. (:

Pineapple curry, Pahd mixed vegetables, and Pahd See Ew, all made vegan with tofu, all DELICIOUS. Even my mother, who isn't a huge Thai food fan, said she would come back again. Large serving sizes, awesome prices, quick and friendly service, highly recommend!

I have been going to Tasty Thai since around 1994, when I first moved to S. Oregon. This is probably my favorite Thai restaurant of all-time. Better than every Thai restaurant I've been to in Portland, as well. Which makes it shameful that I have waited this long to write my review! The owners are friendly, and always remember my "usual." If I'm feeling particularly adventurous and order a different dish, they double-check that I want it "very spicy" (always perfect - spicy, but never so spicy that I can't eat it). Everything has been consistent from Day 1. Their spring rolls are hot (temperature-wise) and DELICIOUS! I usually order the pad broccoli w/beef, which has tons of fresh garlic and mushrooms. Never overcooked, perfectly crisp vegetables. I also love the pad vegetables w/shrimp, and their pad kee mao (spicy noodles w/chicken) is also great. I love that the food comes out fast, as well. Other reviewers have mentioned that the restaurant could use an update, but I find it just fine. With great food and great prices, there isn't really much else to ask for. I find that the best food usually comes from the little, dressed-down places. The lunch specials come in perfect portions. They are $6.95 and come with a small salad, an entree (chicken, beef or tofu...shrimp is $1 extra), rice and a spring roll.

Took my friend here when he was visiting and it's my first Thai food experience in Medford. The menu is a little limited compared to Thai places I've been to in the city, but it has all the staples. The appetizers are pretty basic, nothing really standout, but the yellow curry was fantastic, and the staff is very nice. For small town living it's good thai food.

In town for business and hotel owner recommended this place to eat. From the outside this place looks like nothing special, but surprisingly the food is good. Also, a nice family run business, but if you are going to eat here don't ask for chop sticks. The owners have them for the clueless, but people in Thailand do not use chop sticks, this is not Chinese food.

I got the pad thai, pineapple fried rice and tom yum gong. There was only one girl working, luckily it wasn't too busy. The pad was really good. The pineapple fried rice was good, but had raisins in it and was that was kind of weird. The tom yum gong was a little weak. The broth needed a little more umph!
(4)Quang N.
I'm actually very amazed on how good the Pad thai was here. The noodles were slightly crisp; which i loved. The chicken and sauce were all cooked to perfection. Can definitely say this is one of the better Pad thais' i've had before.
(5)Brentissa S.
Solid pad see-ew and and hands down, the BEST spicy fried rice with lots of seafood (mussels, scallops, shrimp, squid) in it. They make it real spicy which I love so make sure to specify the heat level if you don't like too much spice. Hope to always visit this place when traveling between CA and OR.

I went before a band rehearsal & didn't have the best experience- to start off, it's not in the best of locations, but had pretty decent decor inside... definitely kept the 'outside cold' out, but the glass tabletops made the 'inside cold' stuck around. And wait time between orders was SUPER SLOW! I'd recommend taking your food out vs eating in, if you have a choice- but call well in advance if you order out. The water had a nice lemony accent, with crushed ice rather than cubed, & was served in a pint glass, which helped in hydration. The thai iced coffee was served 'cutely' in a sundae glass & tasted remarkably like coffee ice cream, so quite the fun treat. The fried tofu was certainly nice & crispy on the outside, while remaining molten & creamy inside. The sweet & spicy dipping sauce was a nice touch. I was a little confused over the phad red curry paste with beef, garlic & green beans over rice- mainly because it was served over rice only, not with noodles, too, which most phad dishes I've had in the past would come with in addition to the rice. It also had an overwhelmingly large supply of green beans- which seemed almost mush- with nowhere near enough beef- which seemed dry & overcooked in comparison. I ended up getting to rehearsal late from how slow service was overall, & over half my meal was still sitting on my plate from how imbalanced & immense. Frankly, I doubt I'd ever think to come back again, let alone recommend anyone visit in the future- the total, including a not-so-deserving tip, came to just under $20 & barely deserves the 2 stars I've given it.

There was nothing exceptional about Tasty Thai, but it also wasn't a bad experience. They offer fast, friendly service and decent Thai food.
(3)Nathan P.
Food was awesome. Service was good.
(5)Danny L.
Been here twice now, great food, good service. Very nice family-run restaurant. Would recommend to anyone looking for Thai food.

We were on a road trip through Oregon, with a mission of stopping only at local, non-chain eateries. No fast food. No fancy food. We asked for a recommendation from the clerk at our hotel, and he mentioned Tasty Thai. I stopped because there were several cars out front so I figured the place must be pretty good. When I walked in, the restaurant was empty -- but lots of noise coming from the kitchen area. Apparently the cars belonged to family who were enjoying a late dinner. I ordered green curry with chicken to go. The curry was delicious -- with a good amount of chicken and eggplant. My to go order was a quart container of green curry, and a packed pint container of rice. Not bad for under $10! Yes, the interior is dated. But the staff is extremely kind. And if the green curry is an indication, the food is top notch. I really wasn't expecting decent Thai food in Medford, but was pleasantly surprised.
(5)Michael Y.
Casual and friendly atmosphere and great Thai food. This is my new "go to" dinner spot whenever I am driving through Medford. A much better choice than the fast food (Wendy's, Burger King) alternatives. Recommended by the local hotel staff.

I've passed this place about 400 times since moving here a year and a half ago. I thought it was a fast food restaurant and because of the location I was so reluctant to eat here, that I literally pretended it didn't even exist. I guess looks can be deceiving. I had the best meal here the other night, seriously. I called ahead because I only had 30 minutes to eat on my lunch break and I really wanted something warm and thai. They were so quick and friendly and the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try a noodle dish, as I just had some rice, chicken Sate and some rolls. I wish so bad there were fresh rolls, as I try to stay away from anything fried, but the spring rolls were very good. I brought half my meal back to work and gave it to my co-workers and they were all pretty excited also. We work about a block away so they can count on our business often. :)

Tasty Thai is a very accurate name. Stopped here while out in Medford and we were happy we did. Ordered a thai iced coffee, yellow curry with tofu and a pad thai with tofu. All were tasty and the entrees were made spicy to a med-hot level. Not the nicest building, but friendly service.
(4)Wei L.
Better than I expected! And it's better than the Thai food I had in Portland area. Like this.
(5)Heather H.
Asian food is hard to come by in the Rogue Valley. When we first moved here we found good Thai food at Thai Bistro and Natalee's. Natalee's is still top notch, but move over Thai Bistro....Tasty Thai just moved up a notch in our books. The ambiance is casual and nothing specail, but the service is good and the food is very tasty! We were disappointed that we didn't give this place a shot sooner!
(5)Tom C.
Very friendly staff. The food is always very good. I have never had a dish I didn't enjoy. My wife and I love the Red Noodle dish with pork. The Pad Thai is also awesome. Best Thai food in Medford in my opinion.
(4)Michelle W.
My mom is Thai and I have been to Thailand many times, so I am comfortable to say I know how authentic Thai food should be tasted like. My husband and I ordered Tom Kha (soup) and Rad Nah (noodle). We were very impressed! Both dishes were very tasty and authentic, esp. the Tom Kha. I loved that the spice was just right and not too salty. ( I am picky about salt.) The waitress was friendly and the service was fast. I would definitely visit again and try out other dishes in the future.
(5)Ryan D.
Really good Thai food at noodle-house prices. They spend their time and money delivering good food, not decorating. Tom Kha Gai was delicious. Spring rolls had lots of black-mushroom and came with some of the best plum sauce. Glass noodles were awesome. I have paid lots more for food that wasn't anywhere near as good. Will come back next time I'm in town.
(4)Mike R.
This was a great restaurant! I had the Silver Noodles, which was very good. Very friendly staff and great food and low prices (at lunch). Absolutely no complaints at all. If I'm ever in the area again, I would come back to this place.

Mediocre Thai food for a road dog like myself. That is to say, I've had Thai food all over the world and even when it's mediocre it's still pretty good. If you live in Medford, this is probably a good find for your small town and more like a 4 star place. But otherwise it's just average. I got this as take out to take back to my hotel. The spring rolls were decent but I think the Pad Kee Mao could have had a bit more flavor and spices to the chicken. Not too bad on pricing and gotta love the no sales tax when you're in Oregon. If you're passing through town, don't expect the best Thai of your life but if you're hungry for Thai, this place doesn't fail you. If you're a local, I'd say appreciate it because you're lucky to have good Thai in your town. But personally, I'd skip this place and go to Seoul Garden. Korean BBQ, Texas style. I'm so pissed I didn't see this place til I was on my way back from Tasty Thai. Korean BBQ on it's own is easily my favorite meal of all time, mainly from when I lived in Korea, but Texas style Korean BBQ??? Holy Christ, I can only imagine how amazing that would have been.

Green tofu curry good but salty. My husband tried duck special and liked it. The server is super quiet but sweet. Family run and they do a good business, seems to be consistently busy. Our food came quickly and the portion was good. We will try them again. The booths are not padded and rather uncomfortable.
(3)Martin G.
Good amount of food but not that tasty... We ordered the Pad Thai and it was almost sweet and Phad mushroom had a good sauce but the mushrooms were just button mushroom but no shitaki and lacked veggie...
(3)Alex P.
We're passing through from our road trip back from Portland. Lots of great food along the way and this little place was surprisingly good. It was a slow friday night so we got excellent service. The food is typical Thai stuff and we ordered Pad Thai and Red Curry. My wife and I chowed down and licked out plates cleaned. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for traditional good thai food.
(4)N K.
My family and I stopped here for dinner. The green curry was quite tasty. We got it with broccoli. The mixed vegetables was not so great. My kids had the vegetable soup and liked it The exterior of the restaurant is not very inspiring but inside the restaurant looks good.
(4)L H.
The well-priced and tasty selection of lunch specials makes Tasty Thai a great place for a casual lunch, alone or with a friend. The service is always prompt and the food comes out hot and freshly cooked. I like that the lunch menu has photos of all the entrees. Haven't been here for dinner, but I'd definitely try it. Hooray for Tasty Thai!
(4)James V.
Good pad Thai here.. and they give you a mountain of it! Our waitress was really quiet and a little timid. After serving us she spent most of the time on the phone at the front counter (about 10 feet from our table). It was a little weird. Oh, and the sports game playing on the tv in the kitchen was distracting... especially for such a quiet restaurant :P
(2)Jeff B.
If you like authentic Thai, this is not the place. American Thai ok. The food is ok, nothing to get excited about. Living in the RRV you are very limited, Good restaurants here are rare. The restaurant has very old decor, needs a major face lift. I get take out usually once a month and over time have tried most things on the menu, Nothing is bad, but nothing is great either. Everything looks like slop on a plate, like the photos. Spicy here is pretty bland. Like Midwest spicy where Tabasco is really hot sauce,...Not. I only wish someone would open an authentic Thai place around here. Service is good.
(3)Matthew W.
Great service is the first thing I have to say about this place. It was late when we walked in and the kitchen was closing but they still took the time to serve us and do whatever they could for us. I was extremely impressed with how our server went above and beyond. Then comes the food, delicious and very tasty. Now I get the name. Haha just kidding but seriously it's great food.
(5)Jennifer R.
Great Thai food. Fairly fast for pick up and service is great!! The first dish I ever got was Pra Rarm and it was the perfect blend of crisp spinach, warm chicken, crunchy noodles and spicy peanut sauce. Got it three more times.
(5)Charlie K.
Pretty tasty Thai food, Staff was friendly and attentive. Though the diner is WAY out dated. Feels like an old American Restaurant... maybe an old Denny's or something. Don't judge the book by the cover, their food was good :)
(4)Tawnee K.
Have never had a bad experience here. Don't judge a place based on it's appearance. Great prices, service and food.
(5)Georgie K.
Great lunch specials: spicy noodles, pad Thai and broccoli with peanut sauce and tofu. So many other Good ones to try. Great low key Thai spot that is so good! Staff are great. Easy dine in or take out.
(4)Maggie Y.
Heads up, this restaurant looks terrible inside out. However it has very delicious food! Their Phad Thai was the best one I have ever had. The chicken satay was very tender and yummy! The service was excellent and fast as well.
(4)Sam S.
This is the worst thai food I've ever eaten. First time I've ever commented on yelp. I never usually care. But as a visitor this place just made me sad.
(1)Madison S.
we eat here all the time. the lunch specials are great. I suggest going then over dinner but that's not stopping me when I'm craving Thai after 6 o'clock. I get the spicy noodles which is my favorite Thai dish. I always order it no matter where I go. otherwise known as Drunken Noodle. at tasty Thai it's missing something, but good nevertheless.
(4)paul S.
I've eaten here many times...excellent, friendly service, truly wonderful Thai food well prepared and served promptly & hot at a very reasonable price. I only wish they'd upgrade the lot & building inside and out especially the rest rooms... IT REALLY NEEDS WORK! The place would be so much more inviting.
(4)Gladys A.
This was literally the worst experience I've ever had with food. I ordered a dish the way I normally eat it in every city I travel too. The person I ordered through immediately refused to give the dish the way I ordered and corrected me on my ordering. After my order was put in I did not like my meal and kindly asked to speak to a manager. Instead of trying to understand why I did not like it they tried telling me I was wrong for not liking their meal and that it was American custom to give a refund. That litterly made no sense. Turns out I was speaking to the owner which makes me think even less of this place. Food is crap and service is for short. They're always empty for a reason
(1)Christopher M.
Tasty Thai has a friendly staff with great lunch specials. If we're looking for something different in Medford, then this is a nice choice. Make sure to come before 3pm as the restaurant re-opens at 5pm for dinner.
(4)Brian A.
I stopped here randomly on my way from San Francisco to Portland and enjoyed it. Visually the place looks a bit run down both inside and out, but the food was good and the portions decent. I'm no Thai food expert, but I've had enough to know what I like and my Pahd Garlic (their variation on what I get almost everywhere) was chock full of both meat and veggies and tasty, tasty, garlic sauce.
(3)ravi c.
Outstanding food. I moved recently to Medford from NJ. Have tried few Thai places in here, but have been disappointed until tonight. I just tried the Red curry which is OUTSTANDING. It reminds me of the best places in NJ and NYC. I would surely visit Tasty Thai at least once a week from now. Hats off to the Chef !!!!!!
(5)R H.
Years ago, I really liked Tasty Thai. But recently not so much. Today clinched it. I ordered the thai ice tea which though normally is very sweet, was so sweet in was not drinkable. The special as broccoli chicken with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was so sweet that the entire meal was inedible. Plus there was the hugest fly, lying upside down on the table, buzzing around. Sorry, I won't go back.
(1)Jufi C.
ive been to bangkok&phuket and i swear food there were excellent. tasty thai restaurant is clean and friendly atmosphere. phad thai is tasty too just like what i had in thailand. the thai chicken bbq was good too but it wasnt freshly cooked. i think they made it in one batch, froze and just microwave it and put it on a sizzling platter. i was disappointed :(
(3)Drizzy R.
This place was recommended to me by the front desk staff at my hotel. I walked in, ordered (really cheap!), and sat down to wait. Pretty basic, right? But the service, even though I was getting a takeout order, was fantastic. The lady who took my order brought over a pot of tea for me to drink while I was waiting. That was a treat, mostly because you would only get the tea if you were eating in. I decided to go out on a limb and try something new, and I was well prepared and a gigantic portion. It just wasn't my favorite. I'm passing through town again in a few weeks, and I may just stop back in to try something else!
(4)Rob P.
Great Food. Everyone I take here likes it. Great combo lunch deals. Atmosphere not the greatest but good and affordable.
(4)Mith R.
Traveling through...would have never stopped here but thanks to fellow Yelpers and the great reviews. I do have to agree the food is good. Get there before 3pm during the weekday because they close before opening back up at 5pm. Upon entering greeted by very freindly staff. However the booth we sat at the table cloth was dirty under the glass. The restaurant is an older cinder block style bldg. So the restaurant reflects so, the interior and restrooms are dated. As I looked around the place needs major updating. FOOD. 4 Spicy Noodles, Rice. Spring Rolls. Kikoman dispenser did not have such. INTERIOR 1 SERVICE 3.5 Go for the food not the full experience.
