Grab a cold one with the gang. Tom, Jenn or Katie. Drink up everybody, best beer in town!

Just awesome! Beers are fantastic and the crew is brilliant. I'm not just saying this to get free beer either.

Funniest thing. The outside is underwhelming and just a few outside tables. But inside it was welcoming, clean, and good beer. I got my check after 2 and it was $6.50. In Portland you find...$12 and not friendly. And smokers outside. Thumbs up!

We got the flight and a pint. Overall the beer was good but all along the same lines.. A high IBU. The service was great and the atmosphere was fine. We were given pretzels which was good to cut some of the bitterness.

Tucked away at the end of a mellow street, SOB is a diamond in the rough. With great beers and very friendly staff this place made a tourist feel warm and fuzzy. Place was so good that I had to go back twice during my visit to Oregon. They offer a nice selection of brews and for this hop their Nice Rack was pretty good. But I found myself falling in love with the Pinup Girl...errrrrr Porter. They knocked this porter out of the park. On my second visit they had put a new brew on tap that was demanded by the people. They had Big Rack DIPA which packed a nice punch percentage wise and a balanced flavor. It could of been a little more hoppy for me cause the more hops the better, but still a damn good brew. If you are a local here you got a nice spot to chill out and drink some great brews with nice people. Tourists don't be afraid to walk in here and strike up a conversation and enjoy a great local brewery. I live in Southern California and I am having some Pinup Girl sent to me by my mother in law.....I guess they are good for something right? CHEERS!!!

The beer here, simply rocks! If you're reading this review, you've probably already been to S.O.B. If not, get there a.s.a.p.

Soooo many good beers to choose from... Where do I start? Guess I'll just review my top 2 here (warning: I'm a dark beer kinda guy) 1. Pin up porter: By far my favorite porter on earth. I was a solid black butte kinda guy, but this chocolate, coffee malty balance is beyond compare. I actually stock up on these bottles when visiting family as they always disappear so quick when they visit me here. 2. Old Humbug (winter seasonal): last couple of winter seasons I stocked up on these, but apparently not enough since they didnt make it to summer. This ones kinda like a bitter fruit, malt flavor. I remember my fist sip years ago, it was just kinda like meh...so so. Half bottle down and it just grew on me... By the time I killed the bottle I knew I wanted more. Kinda eerily, intriguing for a beer... Much like women I suppose. The tasting room is kick back, casual w a game always on. They got pretzels to snack on and a food truck out back if you want some real grub. Have yet to try the food truck since my primary interest here is killer dark beer!

First visit... I like to visit brew pubs. This brewery obviously has a locals following. The bartender knew a lot of the customers. She also knew the beers which is important. I like lots of hops in my beer and most of the beers were not hoppy, at least by my standards. The beer I liked best, ironically, is a Czech style pilsner. It wasn't hoppy but it was tasty.

SOBC is one of the larger breweries in Southern Oregon. Their tap room is right off of Crater Lake Highway in Medford. They've got excellent beers on tap and a food cart is normally outside. Their growlers are pretty epic and worth checking out.

Initially, since my favorite day in and day out beer style favorite is IPA, this wasn't the Medford brewery that I went to really often, but I've discovered several beers here that I really like, so I'm going more often now! I really enjoy there darker styles, the Old Humbug is good enough that I've purchased a couple cases for the home fridge, and I also really enjoyed the Imperial Stout, and the Pin-Up Porter. Recently I tried both the Hefe Weizen which is great, has the banana and clove flavors of a traditional German Hefe, no need for a slice of lemon with this one, and I also liked the Big Blue Pils, and Imperial Pilsner at over 10%ABV, wow! It's a sneaker, it tastes strong, but let's say 8% strong, not 10+.......as I started off with, while IPA's are my favorite most days, when I'm in the mood for something different these guys have nailed it! The ladies tending bar are always really nice, outgoing and personable......

I was recently turned on to some SOB brew at a local establishment. I had found it hard to purchase one of their beers at the local grocery (can only find at Freddies). So I decided to go in to SOB and see if I can purchase there... for sure. Bought a case. Asked about their beer club.. (*we are members of a local winery and like the club idea). However, the cost of joining was so outrageous that there is no way I could drink that much beer to make it worth my while. However, the tasting room was very nice. The lady behind the bar was great and the beer is awesome. Nice place to go for a pint (or two). Many great choices of beers. The only thing they are missing is a patio and food.

Nice clean tap house off the beaten path. I like supporting local businesses. Unfortunately after 2 years I have yet to taste a beer I like.

This is a great local brewery. The beers are sophisticated and well made without falling into the over-hopping trap that many in the Northwest fall into. The summer seasonal, Na Zdravi Czech style pilsner may be the best craft beer I've ever had - it's certainly the best domestically produced pilsner you can ever hope to find. The tap room is clean and inviting with a great view of the working brewery. The beers are five star, but it would be nice to have more in the way if food at the brewery. There is occasionally a taco truck that pulls up to offer food. With good in house food this place would get five stars from me.

Just drink the Porter. Do it. Dooooooo it. ...So maybe this isn't really a five-star place...But it is just about the only place worthwhile in Medford. Drink the Porter!!

Nice little hideaway. The sampler is a good deal with included seasonals. The red and the Porter are very good with a nice twist on a CDA using Belgian yeast for one of the seasonals. Definitely better on tap than in the bottle. Will be a regular stop when visiting Medford.

Great variety of beer, now that they expanded their lineup from 4 brews. Awesome tasting room complete with flatscreen, and free pretzels.

Love SOB, the beers are great, my only complaint would be they need to serve food.

Thanh, Hiep, and I tried the sampler size of all the brews from that day. It was pretty good. Five 4 oz. glasses on a sampler board for $5 (the 4 oz. glasses were a dollar each) and we ended up getting a giant growler of the IPA, which we all agreed was the best of the five brews (though I only finished the darkest one which I can't remember what the name was, but it had a chocolate-y/coffee-like combination taste). I don't particularly like beer, but I loved the orange creme soda, which was sweet and tasty. Pretzels were good too. We enjoyed the Kansas-Kansas State game and almost witnessed an upset of the Jayhawks with the rest of the patrons. The interesting thing about the place (other than the fact that it doesn't look like much from the outside) was that there was no food being served there. They ordered out from other major chains in the area. Justin, our server, was quite friendly and informative of the stuff in the place.
