I definitely appreciate a new place such as this opening up in Medford. Not a whole lot of anything around these parts so anything new is always appreciated. That said, I'm not a big froyo person, so that stuff's kind of lost on me. The wife, did however, enjoy her helping of frozen delight. I also noticed a number of pastries and desserts and such (hence the name of this place), but I didn't partake. What I did come here for was bubble tea. Never really cared much for the stuff back when I lived in California (where of course, it's plentiful). But now that I can't get to it too often, I find myself craving it all the time. Of course. So the bubble tea ... well ... I guess I'm willing to cut them slack considering they're pretty new at this. That, and it's not like there's a whole lot of bubble tea drinkers to go around here in Medford, so they may not necessarily have a feel for what's good. They used green tea, which has a far less distinct taste than the black tea bubble teas typically use. They also went a little light on the flavoring as well as the boba itself. End result was not the best-tasting bubble tea I've ever had. Still, they're new to that, and I imagine they'll get the hang of mixing these drinks soon enough. What I did appreciate was their customer service. They ran out of tapioca pearls the first night I visited. Naturally, we left disappointed. We came back the next day, and they had plenty of tapioca this time. They comped the drink, after what happened the night before. Totally not needed, but totally appreciated. That's the sort of thing that'll make me come back -- knowing that they take care of their customers.

This is always a favorite with the kids. The staff is friendly and helpful and the garage atmosphere is perfect on the hot days. They always have Flavors that are a little different yet very tasty.

Not impressed, Ruth and Sparky's. Yogurt is run of the mill, not special. Toppings, same. Lots of things with artificial ingredients. I had the original tart and some orange sorbet, which was still really sweet compared to many others' tart varieties. Meh. What really got me was the customer service, though. I went in tonight, behind some little girls. So, three people ahead of me. I waited a good ten minutes, standing there with my yogurt melting, waiting to be rung up. Annoying. The lady workng was super sticky sweet and friendly, but rather clueless. She actually left the room to check on some timer or something, and then made the little girls' shakes. She could have rung me up while they were blending, but no, she stood there and actually watched the blenders! Then she went to ring up the shakes, and one little girl took out her wallet and handed her a full punch card. Now, to be fair, I did not hear what had transpired before I came in, but when the card was scanned, the gal told the girl it would go theough, and that will be $9.50 for the two shakes. She could use her free yogurt the next time she came in! She then apologized, and it sounded like she might have told the little girl it was valid for whatever before I'd come in, maybe. In any case, the girl's face fell ($10 is a LOT of money for a kid, especially when she thinks it will be half that), and I could see the mom getting pissed. Finally I was rung up and able to leave. I made a comment like "oh, now mine's a shake too!" Which confused the gal working, and then she apologized for keeping me waiting during such a "busy" rush. Three people, remember. Try workng in a freaking coffee stand during a real rush! Whatever. Anyhow, I dislike writing bad reviews, but feel this should be addressed. Yes, she was friendly. No, it wasn't worth the wait. I contemplated setting my yogurt on the counter and just leaving, honestly. Time management skills are needed here, and better training. You don't need more helpers, just organization. Yogurt Hut is better on every count. Vanilla Jill's in Eugene is incredible and way out of either's league. Check it out if you're north and needing a fix!

not that many options for toppings. The gal working last night had a bunch of friends in to gossip. Overheard her complain about her job hours and about people who "talk black".

My family & I have been coming to Ruth & Sparky's since it opened. We would give it 5 stars until today. The employee grabbed the yogurts by putting her hand over the top of the cup and touching the yogurt. The perfect little curl was clearly smashed. I asked her if she touched my yogurt. And she showed me her other hand and lied and said "no". I turned around and looked and she was wiping off her hands. Not professional. Not trained. Overly 'helpful'. Dishonest. Too bad since they have a good product.

The yogurt was great. I loved how you could sample the flavors. The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very polite.

Although I am not a huge fan of "pay by weight" yogurt shoppes, I enjoyed Ruth & Sparky's. The prices were reasonable, the wait staff pleasant and the place has a nice atmosphere. I also waited and long time for this place to open. Tonight was my first night in and I will be back. By the way, the Tiramisu Cake with a side of Dulce de leche frozen yogurt = worth the trip across town.

Not impressed and it takes up space that could be an awesome restaurant. There's better yogurt elsewhere

I took my son here for the first time. A young girl that worked there was texting on her phone and didn't even greet us. I ordered two milkshakes and sat at the table. She got on the phone and started gossiping as loud as she could. It was so obnoxious we just left. Won't go back there and we live just up the road.

Love that there is a good frozen yogurt place close to us! :) They are cheaper than Yogurt Hut and just as good too! ;) They may have less options but not by much. I had the apple pie frozen yogurt with cheesecake bites, lots of fruit and topped with caramel sauce. Yum! ;) I got a punch caed too. I think after so many you get a free one? Or at least a good deal. One day a week they are cheaper too.

Good Yogurt & Toppings love the Simplicity of everything not an over whelming amount to choose from.

There are several froyo options in Medford now, but this is hands down our favorite. One of the things that sets them apart is their customer service, which is great. There are always plenty of yogurt and topping options. Another reviewer mentioned the bubble tea - they have been refining their method since they opened, and the last time I went in, the bubble tea was just right. The outdoor patio seating area is great.

We waited a LONG time for this place to open up. Now that it's here we tried it . . . and we love it. Yes, pretty typical with the FroYo options but it's all good and there is always some Sorbet options as well. I actually had them make a shake for me (Strawberry w/ fresh strawberries). Nothing fancy but it was yummy and an appreciated option. THEY HAVE GREAT DESSERTS from Medford's own Downtown Market Co. YUM! The coffee is good. The service is good. And, the seating is GREAT! A patio with a big TV. Oh, and I hear they will serve wine eventually. It's a good place and I'm happy it's here.
