The Medford Outback is better than the majority of other restaurants steak houses in the area. It is a bit on the expensive side for what it is but the food is consistent and good quality. There are a wide variety of menu options from steak, chicken, seafood and even some vegetarian dishes to chose from as well as a well priced kids menu. Expect a dinner for two with entree's, sodas and an appetizer to set you back at least $50.00 or so. Going cheap with two kids meals we can feed the family of four for the same $50.00, no drinks or appetizers. Service is good and attentive. Since the services are only handling three stations at a time and they cross deliver orders food comes fast and hot. A couple of stand outs are the coconut shrimp, Bloomin' Onion, wood fired filet mignon and the Sydney's Sinful Sunday.

Ate at Outback last night. It's not our favorite place but its close and not usually packed. That should have been a clue. I ordered the cheeseburger no mustard. Got lots of mustard, sent it back. My diet coke was flat. Took 5 minutes to get another. My wife ordered a steak medium. She got a raw piece of meat. Fries were cold. Ordered ranch for them, never showed up. The $70 bill was the topper. Wow. Last time we go to Outback in Medford.

I don't normally frequent chains and I know why now. Started with the seared Ahi and it was delicious, the two sauces were way to salty but the tuna made up for it. Move on to the steak and lobster'. Fillet was barely warm and dry. Lobster had god flavor but look liked it had been beat with a mallot. Cocktails were weak. Won't go back.

I have always had excellent service here. The wait is sometimes long but the food quality is worth the wait. Best burgers anywhere and the ribs are fantastic. Better than Roscoes in my opinion. For a chain, this is a great choice.

I knew they closed at 10:00 and I came in at 9:10 There was still plenty of other tables when i arrived...Brain came by within a few minutes and told me he would be right there... A few minutes later he came to my table , proceded to sit down and just looked at me.. No hello , no nothin... Felt pretty awkward... I asked for coffee and he left... I received my coffee right away and he wanted to know if i was ready to order... I know its late but gee give me a few minutes to look at the menu... After two more attemps to take my order within five minutes i figured i better hurry up and order.... Wow,, nothin worse than feeling being rushed... I only ordered soup and salad which I received promptly. My server never came back and asked me how it was. Fifteen minutes went by and I had to stop him to ask for a glass a water even thought he had passed by me several times and didn't even acknowledge that I was there... Second.cup of coffee??-- Didn't ask. Shouldn't have too. Five minutes after he gave me my water he just walked up and placed my check on the table without saying a word. and walked away... My salad wasn't even half gone... I've been in the food service business for thirty years.... I could give better service with my eyes.closed... Just because someone is dining by themselves doesn't mean they should recieve half the service .

First time in an Outback, and it won't be the last time. Normally don't like these type of chain restaurants, but I was meeting a friend after landing at the local airport, and this place was convenient. Service was good, place was clean, and the prices weren't bad. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, which was really good $19 Baked potato was yummy Coffee was ok, @ $3.25 Bread...I have had better. Served hot, but just meh

Don't usually post, but I was so disappointed with this Outback. Always order the Prime Rib, medium. The cut of meat was so thin. There was no way they could cook a meat that thin and it not come well done. Be careful what you order and ask what kind of cut you'll be getting. Did have a very nice waitress though.

Staff is great, food is really good. My family and I love going there. Sometimes there is a wait but it's only because we live in a small town and it's called a lack of options. Never had a problem here. Good job!

We haven't been to an Outback for over a decade, and the last time we went, the best thing there was the blooming onion. Well, it was refreshing to see that times have changed. Wow, I had a ribeye that was cooked no less than perfect, and tasted at least as good as many top end steakhouses. It was tender, juicy, and did I mention that it was cooked perfectly! :-) My wife had the Filet Mignon topped with a Portabella. I'd like to tell you how good it was, but I never got the opportunity to try it as my wife and daughter devoured it right before my eyes. Oh, sorry, Did you want a bite? :-) My son had the Pork Porterhouse, which I can tell you was yummy, as he let me try it.:-) And, to top it all off, our server was great! My son has multiple food allergies, and she went and found all the labels and ingredients for us. She really went above and beyond to help us out! I highly recommend this place!!

The last time the mrs. and I went to outback was most likely the last time we will go to outback... The bloomin' onion as usual was awesome because it's the GD bloomin' onion man! However our experience was all downhill after that. I ordered the bloomin burger med rare but what I got was literally comparable to something that had just been chopped off the cow... The burger was taken back to be re-fired which took 10 minutes and then it was medium but I was told that was their well done "they just cook under" I was told. How about you just cook it to temp and don't bs me with this we cook under crap. Huge disappointment we won't be back.

Is it possible to give zero stars? I would. We went in from traveling on the highway starving and ready to be satisfied from what I thought was an Outback as they have always made me happy before but this was different. We were seated and then ignored for ten minutes. The bartender/waitress eventually came over and took our orders. We got waters, my companion wanted lemon with his water, we had to ask four times. Then I asked and another waitress with a heart tattoo in her hair line presented sliced lemons. My companion squeezed a slice of lemon into his water and put it in...needless to say that slice of lemon still had the sticker on it! It was 26 minutes since we sat down. My companion had to get back to work so we decided to leave. It was then the salads arrived, in a rude tone the bartender said, "I've got your salads." "We have to get going," my companion said. She turned around shaking her head. RUDE! I looked around after getting up. They had left the table behind us uncleaned and a dirty rag on the table, the bartender had left the bar unattended. The man at the bar had complained about his food so the bartender had compted his meal. As we stood waiting for the manager, a man who gave the excuse that he was on a conference call. He "wanted to make it right" so he gave us "gift cards". Amounting to $20 but we were going to spend $40 there. What an insult from the manager too. Never returning to this location.

We just had a $13.95 5 oz. piece of chicken and a house salad. Had the Alice Springs chicken and later found out you get ONE side. The waitress asked if we wanted to substitute a salad for the veggies and we did. Turns out no fires either. Will never return to this rip off joint. I expect them to be closed within a year at the way they're going.

We last ate here 11 years ago on our anniversary (a 3 hour drive to get here), and though our food was not bad, it wasn't great. Today however, a whole different story!!! Ordered 8 oz. Outback Special, well done, with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. Excellent!! Steak was perfectly cooked to perfection (as I usually don't get it cooked exactly as I ordered), with the best seasoning in my 15 years of Outback frequenting (including over 30 restaurants in 4 states)!! Potato was hot and tasty, salad was perfect, and bread was as good as always. Our server was excellent, our waitress was way on top of her game, and overall, this was not just a way better dining experience here than 11 years ago, but probably the best overall experience at any Outback we've been to! Thank you for great food and service, we'll be back the next time we are in town!!

Friendly and attentive service. The salmon, Mahi Mahi, double burger and rib eye were all delicious. We absolutely loved the clam chowder, so perfect. I was also pleasantly surprised with the mojito...it was very good.

Let me start out by saying that the service at this place sucks ! Like for real, I had to wait like 10 minutes just to get a tiny cup of ketchup. I could've walked to Walmart and got a bottle before she would show up at our table. There are a lot of things to go over about this establishment, and another one of this things are how soggy the bread was. It was gooey and unpleasant and I did not enjoy it. And one of the people joining me got a refill on his Sheerly Temple and the cherries looked eaten and chewed up. It was nasty! And not to mention that lame music playing in the background that made me feel uncomfortable. I think the song was " I ain't got no satisfaction " which successfully states my experience of this restaurant. Uncle Donnie even left to go grind because he couldn't wait anymore and couldn't take the crappy service. In conclusion... This Place Sucks!

Wonderful location! Our waiter (I can not seem to remember his name now, but he is young with brown/black hair) was astonishing! He knew the menu by heart and was full of information! Not to mention his speedy and proficient service! We ordered the quesadilla appetizer and it came with a sweet honey mustard like dip; it is to die for! I got the outback sirloin with sauteed mushrooms and onions, garlic parmesan fries, and a passionate punch cocktail. My steak was cooked to perfection and had so much flavor! The fries were delicious and not over loaded with garlic like most places tend to do lol. My cocktail was quite good also; very sweet. My husband ordered the steak and shrimp, aussie fries, and steak house mac and cheese. His steak was also phenomenal and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Both were full of flavor and were presented astonishingly on the plate! We did have room for dessert also and it was great! The perfect finish to an amazing dinner! I got the cheesecake with strawberry sauce and he got the chocolate thunder from down under. Highly recommended to ALL!

Meh. It was ok. The only reason its not a one is that the Staff was super friendly, and the steak was decent. But let's be honest here, you can get Steak & Lobster at Sizzler for the same price and its way better. My wife got lobster, and I saw her over there twisting it on her fork and using a steak nice to try to saw through it, it was basically a hunk of rubber. The bloomin onion was delicious though :) Doubt I'll be back, there's better options.

So we generally don't eat at chains but this Outback was fantastic. My wife and I split the bone in rib steak and had a bottle of wine and it was excellent . Amber our waitress was super and really good. Hot plates steak cooked perfect and in a timely manner. Will be back when in the area.

Very average food. I'm a serious carnivorous individual. I eat steak every time i eat out, and this was nothing special. The baked potato soup definitely changed it was thin with very few chunks of potatoes. The bread was undesirable (as usual). My baked potato was dry.The porterhouse was not cooked well done, and gave me severe diarrhea. Our waitor david was very attentive! He was friendly without being a nuisance. This place used to be one of my favs, im sure i will go again just not anytime soon!

Pancake thin steaks with no sear. You call yourself a steakhouse? The last two times I have come to outback I have ordered the ribeye, classic style cooked medium rare. The steaks were so thin that they came out grey in color. This is not the Outback I remember, but it's the Outback I will forget. I would like to add that our server was awesome and is familiar with this issue but apparently nobody with decision making authority will do anything about it.

A little spendy, but ok. My fish and chips had little to no taste at all but my wife loved her sweet potato fries and ribs.

We visited this location on Monday October 13th. There were 3 adults and a 1 year old in our party. The hostess took us to a booth and I asked for a table, she said oh it will be at least 20 minutes. I said how when all of the tables to the right of the bar where we were in a booth were empty. When our waiter came he relocated us. We ordered our drinks and a blooming onion which was supposed to be at no charge since their NASCAR driver had placed in the tip ten over the weekend, also a crab avocado stack. The crabmeat was not fresh it must have been canned. It had no flavor. I ordered the top sirloin and lobster, my sister ordered the Victoria filet and lobster, my brother in law ordered the Blooming Burger and we ordered the kids macaroni and cheese. We asked for bread a 2nd time at the point we ordered. I got up walked to the bar to get a small plate so we could put some snacks on it for the baby. 1 person went behind the bar and ignored me I said excuse me can I get a small plate and some bread. They disappeared into the kitchen. I was approached by a waitress who asked if she could assist me. I said yes I need a small plate as we don't want to put food on the table for the baby and we would really like some bread. She asked where we were sitting and I pointed it out. She brought me the plate. Our waiter came to the table with food and in his infinite wisdom sets a plate with hot food down in front of the baby and then sets the plate with steak knife down in her reach. I asked a 4th time for bread. The steaks were cooked perfect that is the only reason I am giving 1 star. I never got my lobster tail. We were charged $7.99 for the Blooming Onion. We will not be back to this location. When the bill comes to $96.94 and the service from the time you walk in the door is shoddy and rude there is a disconnect. I frequently go to the Outback in my hometown and have never had this type of experience. From now on my money will be spent at the competition.

Not to good My family went out to eat My Dad ordered a steak and had to send it back To tough to eat But they came out with a shrimp dish that was really filling Probably won't go back

This was my first time going to an Outback Steakhouse, and basically it wasn't amazing, it wasn't terrible. The hostess told us right off the bat that they were running out of food. Umm..... I don't think you should have told me that. I ordered the steak and lobster with a side sweet potato, and my husband ordered the outback classic steak with a sweet potato and Caesar salad. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, but the lobster was VERY overcooked. I don't like having to chew on my lobster. It should melt in my mouth! I wish I would have sent it back The waitress was very friendly and attentive, but she seemed way busy. It seemed highly understaffed. But that's not my concern I suppose. The Australian theme is fun, but I wish they served authentic Australian food or something. Its like going to an ocean themed restaurant and them serving burgers. Themes that only go as far as the decorations kind of disappoint me. But that's just my first impression of Outback as a whole, not just the Medford location. It was good, I think there are other chain steakhouses that are much better and cheaper "*cough cough* Sizzler". But it didn't ruin my night by any means, and the food was good

BEWARE: three different times we have ordered from the Outback Curbside Menu and each time we have been charged more (per entrée) then what is listed on their very own website. The last time we had ordered three dinners from their online "No Worries Wednesday" menu. We were charged $2 more per dinner when we went to pick up. When we brought it to the attention of the attendant, she pretty much said it was our responsibility to tell the person over the phone what the price is. How is that?! The prices are listed on their own site! No fine print either saying prices can vary. Of all the local places we order takeout from, this is the only place that we have had these constant issues with. (we even showed the Outback people a screenshot of their website with the correct price, but again: too bad for us and pay up). After three consecutive times that this has happened, we are finished with this place. Terrible.

The bloomin onion was over cooked tasted burnt to me. Other than that i had the california chicken sandwich it was really good! The chicken was so juicy! The waiter i had was really great too, he was going to get a new bloomin onion but my fiancd said it was crispy and wanted to keep it -_- the waiter actually pointed that issue out to us, he was great!

It's a chain and its all processed and has become way too expensive for what it is ... But this time it was inedlible. Ribs were so salty I literally couldn't eat them. They tasted like they'd been warmed up from last nights service. Gross Soup... Cold. Chopped salad was chopped lettuce (not even close). Fish and chips - scarce and cold and soggy. Ridiculous. If ur gonna do a chain steakhouse try Roadhouse... Or better yet go to Backporch in Jville or Porters in MFR for a much better and reality based result. This place is gonna get killed by the new Texas Roadhouse if they don't shape up. Which is fine by me. I won't be going back.

I've read some reviews here and a lot of then are not so great. I dined there with a few friends and we had a better experience than most. The hostess was funny, the waiter was cool, appetizers came out quickly, and dinner came out in a decent time frame. I had the salmon and it was a lot better than I expected.

Awesome customer service!!!!!! Very accomodating! It was a Friday night and Valentine's Day. We left Buffalo Wild Wings very pissed off! No one wven cared we were there, they seated us then abandoned us for 25 min and never took our order so we just left. Outback was very friendly and had easy parking. They handed out samples to everyone waiting for a table to open up. They made sure to let us know that it would be a 50 min wait and took our name to save us a spot. We left to Costco and came back and they told us exactly how many people were ahead of us and it was even quicker than that! The waiter was very outgoing, had a smile the whole time and gave prompt service! He didn't nag us either like most waiters. Kept up with drinks and bread refills! He even let me swap fries for soup as a side without charging extra! The food tasted awesome and was hot! The restaurant booth was very clean, confortable and spacious! I would give 5 stars though if the prices weren't so high and portions were larger. Every Outback Steakhouse I have ever been to is this way! The steak and chicken especially. The bloomin onion is huge though and great! It was $42 including tip for 2 people.

So we got two glasses of contaminated dirty water with lots o mystery floating things. Then our waitress who was friendly failed her job by serving us dirty water and while we watched everyone around us eat bread we had none . When we asked to see the manager he promptly came over apologized and brought us 2 clean waters.... wow what a great job ..will never eat at Outback again

Where we live there are no big chain restaraunts so we seek them out when we are traveling. We go to Medford frequently. This was our first visit to the Outback here. Thank god for GPS. We were very happy. The service was fantastic. I have found that to be consistent in all Outbacks, including the first I was ever in in Anchorage Ak. I love the Ceaser salad. The special steak is great. I love the well seasoned tender meat. I dont care if its soaked in chemicals I love it. I agree that the blooming onion is not all its cracked up to be. After having tried them in several Outbacks i have given up on them, still they are an attractive novelty. I will definately be back.

Chicken salad: big plate of lettuce, 4 teeny slices of chicken, 2 pieces of walnut, a sprinkle of Feta. $14! Yuck. My companions complained that their food was cold, slow to arrive, way too salty. Really, really bad in every way.

Wow, I was the first one to review this location, and look at the difference between 2008 and 2013. GETTING SEATED: Me and my fiance went there yesterday, and the wait was 45-50 min. Which is OK considering it's Saturday night, so the only thing I would recommend is to call ahead and put your name in as you are getting ready to drive there. ATMOSPHERE - PEOPLE: Nobody at this place was smiling. Not one person from greeters to bartenders to bussers to the manager looked like they were happy to be there. ATMOSPHERE - DECOR: They either removed all the cool stuff, or it was never there in the first place. There were roof leak stains on the ceiling, a few boomerangs above the bar, and a curled up crocodile on the wall... other than that, the decor was very poorly constructed - it just felt empty and devoid of character... and life. CLEANLINESS: The entire place felt a bit... sticky and unkempt. They give you a knife and two forks, one of mine had gooey milky substance on it. The other was cloudy and I shined it by dipping my napkin into water and rubbing it. Why couldn't they do this? One of the menus had crayon markings all over the inside. FOOD: The bread and butter that they brought out - butter was frozen (!) for both the bread and then later - my entree. The bread was lukewarm... either give it to me cold, or hot, but I am not sure it's meant to be a "little" warm. Our entrees (TINY steak and decent size ribs), were tasty, but not what I remember them being. Again, food wasn't' hot enough. DRINKS: I tried ordering a sangria, but they were all out. Hmm.... DESSERTS: Nothing special/featured. On their Facebook they have a yummy looking dessert, but there is no mention of it at the restaurant... poor coordination of marketing efforts? PRESENTATION: The plate for my fiance's steak filet was way too big - it had a blob of mashed potatoes on it and a tiny piece of meat. I wish they would give him a smaller plate and dress it up with greens so that it didn't look so... well, empty I guess. SERVICE: Our waitress was actually nice, but then our food was brought out by a random gentleman in a very dirty apron. I think he was either a busser or a dishwasher. I guess that should match my expectations after getting a dirty fork. *** Well, folks, Outback used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I will never eat here again. Ever. I suggest you do the same.

Used the last of some gift cards to go to Outback, probably for the last time. Had a calamari appetizer I would describe as medium chewy, and a bit greasy. Olive Garden and Pasta Piatti have a lighter more tender version. The marinara was watery, and lacked richness or body. For entree we shared a 8 oz sirloin with 5 coconut prawns. We asked for the potato toppings on the side. We got a small bowl with them all mingled together which was exactly what we were trying to avoid. The potato was well roasted, then the steak. The medium rare steak was rare. The steak was so tough the steak knife would barely cut it. Off to Texas Roadhouse hereafter. Bad value for the money.

Always neat and clean. Attentive, friendly wait staff. We especially enjoy the ribs as well as their salmon dinners. (and of course the blooming onion).

I would have to say that this was possibly the worst meal I have ever had. The only thing good about it was the bloomin' onion and we should have just left after that. I had the Alice Creek (or Alice something, I don't recall) Chicken and it came with fries. It cost $15 and it wasn't worth $6 in my opinion. It came with cheese and bacon on top and the bacon tasted like it was cooked at least a couple days ago. It also came with fries that were completely soaked with juice off of the chicken and thus were soggy and gross. My husband ordered the ribs and they were AWFUL. Overcooked to the point of falling off the bone (which normally isn't a bad thing) and they were so dry and salty that you had to take a sip of water with each bite in order to swallow them down. The decor in the restaurant was also weird. We were seated in a booth and there was a light fixture that came down so far that my husband and I had to duck down to see each other. We're both 6' tall so maybe this works okay for shorter people but we both thought it was a very strange design flaw. So, we had water, a bloomin' onion, ribs and chicken and it came out to around $54 I believe. A HUGE waste of money. We will never go back there again.

My third time here, and this visit was NOT great. Our waiter hardly came by the table. He did NOT earn the generous tip my daughter gave. The seating woman/bus person said "Good night" to us as we left the building without even making eye contact. Was this on purpose or would she rather be working somewhere else? NOT what one would expect on their birthday. We will not be going here for family celebrations again.

Very disappointed for a chain like Outback. The pork chop was rare and cool in the center. I sent it back and then it was over cooked and seasoned with more salt. Blech! The sweet potato had no butter and I had to request some. Very sad to say the least.

Hummm...sit down for this one..After waiting to take my husband out for his b/d dinner..to the OUTBACK..my Father had been anticipating taking my husband out for a good steak dinner..He is a senior -well, ok..so we have the blooming onion..not bad..then salad..iceberg lettace..who uses that? Wilted..never mind..then the over priced dinners arrive..the baked potatoes looked like burnt footballs! The steaks..r skinny bland!...oh..the Angies chicken..does hard-dry-cold..and about the size of a small biscuit..sound yummy--think not! GROSS. This poor waitress who has to serve these excuses for dinner's is so embarrassed..Ok..tables in front & in back..same thing w/ potatoes..so they ask if they would like the garlic mashed..ok how can u ruin them..I will tell you...COLD. & STIFF -SO..would u like a complimentary desert to make up for the crappy dinner!!!!! :( ..ok..should have started w/ that..so much for my Father's $100.00 treat to us..THIS IS THE WORST DINNER I HAVE EVER HAD..I HAVE BEEN THERE 2 TIMES..IN 14 YEARS..NOW I KNOW WHY..DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY..Local small town restaurant's try so much harder..close this place down & eat Local!!I don't know if it is the manager..that is at fault..or the chef's..do the staff have any say in serving those terrible plates...knowing they r not up to standard? Someone should hold the blame..people don't have $100.00 to spend on meals that are not as good as a Wendy's hamburger! Tired of sub standard quality.

This was my first ever visit to an Outback Steakhouse... and I'm sad to say that my first impression was "Wow, none of their customers look especially healthy." Second impression was the shock at the 15-20 minute wait for a table. Third was about how it feels dark.... and kind of old. I guess I've gotten a bit more used to more modern dining establishments. We started off with the Bloomin' Onion. Big mistake! It was kind of tasty, but the serving was huge and heavy. The both of us worked on it for a while and I'm pretty sure we still finished about 1/3 of it. We got a couple of "Outback Special" steaks because we decided it was a good time to eat some meat. I haven't had many restaurant steaks in the past, but I found theirs to be a little too spiced for me. I like 'em cooked less and without the spices. Ah, well. Lesson learned! The sides and the bread were pretty tasty, but my dining partner was still avoiding dairy and was sad to discover the vegetables were covered in butter. The waitress was fantastic and did end up making sure he got butter-free veggies, but that was still something he just wasn't expecting so he didn't think to ask about it (and they didn't consider it after he mentioned that he was avoiding dairy in the beginning). I enjoyed some kind of light beer and we discovered that the strawberry lemonade options all had high fructose corn syrup. darn. I enjoyed my beer, though! Staff - 4 stars Food - 3.5 stars Atmosphere - 3 stars Bathrooms - 3 stars. Why? One of the stalls was out of TP.

My husband and I sat at the bar because it was a packed house. The bartenders were really nice and catered to our request. Wasn't too fond of the steak but the blooming onion and the captains Mai tais were awesome!!!

Medford Outback has definitely gone downhill in the last couple of years. Wonder why someone is not making management changes? Food is mediocre, service is sporadic and confusing - (we had so many different people that we left never knowing who our server was), and the place was not busy when we were there. Very disappointing. We used to go there often, but not much anymore. Keep hoping they will turn things around, but so far they have not.

I was at the bar. 2 bartenders and still didn't get very much attention. Ordered chocolate thunder from down under sundae.. first time ever I didn't finish dessert. Just wasn't very good and I can't really put my finger on why. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp! !

I've been here a handful of times and the service always sucks. On one occasion I was seayed next to the bathrooms, which smelled horrible! And there was nobody else in the restaurant! The thing that ticked me off the most though was the server that kept the change! I paid in cash and the remaining was a couple of dollars. I would of left it as a tip anyway but he never returned with the change! Rude!

Food was good. They are always very consistant. Our Server was awesome. Good bread and decent steaks. They also have famous Mac N Cheese that the kids...and adults love. This is a great place to go if you want something familar and consistant.

Okay when you walkin over all the restaurant is clean. Service was quick. Fish n chips were very good. I ordered the prime rib i was not satisfied. They offered to side dishes with the prime rib. I ordered the soup and salad. I received a small bowl of soup and a small salad before my prime rib was done. So I was eating before any of my other party was eating. So I shared my small bowl of soup and my small salad with the party. When I received my 7 ounce prime rib it was thin and tough. My father ordered coffee it took over 12 minutes to receive this cup of coffee. My 2 boys had hamburgers the hamburgers were excellent. My dad had the baby back ribs they also were excellent. I will try the restaurant again but I will not be ordering The prime rib steak.
