Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is our first visit to Guadalajara. And granted, it's in Medford, OR. Not exactly the Mexican dining Mecca of the world! But, seriously...super tasty! I had the chicken quesadilla, my friend the shredded beef flautas. Both were hot, fresh, tasty, full of deliciousness and plentiful. Their warm chips and pico de gallo were delightful. A bit surprising as it's in a strip mall but definitely worth the trip. You won't be disappointed!

We used to go here ALL THE TIME when we lived here over 10 years ago...the place was AMAZING.It was always packed, especially for Sunday brunch. Then we moved away and just came back about two months ago. What the HECK HAPPENED!?!?! We went last night at 6pm and were one of 4 parties in the restaurant. The beans tasted like the dry type you reconstitute with boiling water. The picadillo in my dinner tasted the same as it did years ago..DELICIOUS!!!! The chips and salsa were super yummy and fresh. The guacamole looked and tasted very processed, like out of a plastic pouch. One of our chicken burritos stated it came with rice in it, and rice ended up as 80% of the content. The enchilada sauce tasted watered down. I wish Gordon Ramsey was still doing Kitchen Nightmares, because I'd like to see this restaurant come back to life....but I just don't see that happening, unfortunately.

Went here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. Despite the fact that the parking lot was incredibly busy as were the stores around Guadalajara, I was the only customer at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Had I not been meeting a friend, I would have turned around and left. I wish I would have. The service was good and friendly, but the food was quite bad. To start with, the chips were stale and the salsa was nasty although the Pico di gaillo (sorry for the spelling) was fresh and yummy. I couldn't even stomach the salsa. I ordered chicken fajitas which appeared to be grilled nicely, but they came drowned in what appeared to be the horrible salsa. The beans and rice were both pretty flavorless. It was really just a horrible meal. Medford has quite a few great Mexican restaurants. Sadly, this isn't one of them. I won't be back. The two stars is for the service. The food was only a one star.

This place has really gone down hill! They used to be very good especially when they were in Gold Hill. Haven't eaten there in awhile and what an unpleasant surprise. Long story short, we should have turned around when we went in for lunch and saw only one other table with people at it. The place was a ghost town. The waiter said if we wanted to try a little of everything, the lunch buffet was a good bet. The food was very bland, watery and greasy! It took hours to get the taste of grease out our mouths. We did not finish our plates and the waiter never once came by to check on us or refill our drinks. The only time he rushed over to the table was to give us the check when he saw we were getting ready to leave. Don't know how they are staying open, only us and one other table for the lunch hour in what is otherwise a very busy shopping location.

I am an out of towner from Los Angeles driving through Oregon. My boyfriend and I stopped here to get some food and it exceeded our expectations! Didn't think I would find amazing Mexican food in Oregon but I was wrong!

Great food! Other reviews are from people that have never been outside of Medford. I was pleasantly surprised that we found REAL Mexican food up north. Pico De Gallo is to die for and the portions are large!

Went on a thursday and waited over 5 minutes for beverage Orders, then another 10 minutes before anyone came back out to take our order or acknowledge us! Worst service ever! People actually were walking out due to the lack of staff and poor service. Told cashier when we paid how disappointed i was, he said he was doing everything. Food was great when we finally got it. But this is second tije same treatment, wont go back.

My mom took me here for my birthday last week. We hadn't been there for years and were hoping things were better. No big deal, but even when my birthday was mentioned twice, nothing was done: no "Happy Birthday", not even a tiny dish of free ice cream or anything. When I mentioned after a lengthy wait to the only waitress that was there that she could use more help, she said she had to make drinks and serve people in the bar besides the few people in the restaurant area. But the main problem: THE FOOD WAS COLD! When we finally got her attention and complained about the temperature of the food, she said it was because I put too much pico de gallo on it!! My mother's was also cold and she didn't add anything to it because she prefers it more bland. The plates weren't even warm. The food tasted much better heated in the microwave at home, but we shouldn't have had to do that. So service was bad, food was cold, and nothing done at all for any birthdays. May be another few years before we try this restaurant again.

This place is in a strip mall. The food isn't what I'm used to. Nice decor but too noisey because there was a band in the bar area. The lady was nice. I particularly enjoyed the chunky salsa for the chips
