Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

In Medford for Cinco de Mayo and need a margarita! I turned to yelp to find a Mexican restaurant, and was very pleased by our choice. I came here with a few coworkers and we had some yummy margaritas- we tried strawberry banana, mango, and blackberry (mango was the unanimous favorite!). They were also on special for $5 on cinco de mayo! Most of us had fajitas for dinner which were very good. I had the turf fajitas which were HUGE (enough for 2 days of lunch leftovers) and included steak, chicken, and carnitas. I had never had carnitas in fajitas before, but I really liked it. They even brought us all free dessert! Not sure if that's normal or if it was for cinco, but it was yummy and much appreciated either way. All of the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in meford!

This place is great. They have good service and the staff is very friendly. $1 tacos on Tue & Thurs. I've had several items and I've likes everything so far. Rice and beans are also good. I will return to try more items. Only con is that the Tamarindo water is made with powder... and I'm use to the real stuff. But, even at that... it's still tasty.

Feeling disappointed... my rating is for service only. So it's a Saturday afternoon, and my son, his friend, and I were wanting Mexican food. I had recently been to this place with a large group from work, and the food and service was great... so I was raving to my teenager that they were going to enjoy this place (new to him). Well. We were seated in the "you have no waitperson" booth. We were given menus, water, and chips & salsa, and that was it. No "do you want anything besides water" or "Hi, I'm so-and-so your waitperson." We had closed menus and had finished the chips, 15 minutes went by, and no one to take our order. Told the young lady who was refilling water that we were ready to order. She seemed confused. So a couple more minutes go by and she walks over snd takes our menus away (I had them at the end of our table folded - completely obvious that we are done looking at them), but I like to open it up to give them my order correctly. Another couple of minutes go by and nothing. So we get up to leave... I did ask to speak to the manager and explained we had had no service, and we were going to go. He did apologize, asked where we were sitting, but interestingly, no further comment. Maybe they figure they have enough clientele that they don't have to make an effort for new ones?? I was very polite through the whole experience, although just asking the water girl if we had a waiter, made my son's friend concerned they would do something to our food... no wirries, Issac, we didn't get any (from THERE). This also was from 130 to 2 pm, not lunch rush time... :(

This place is where I go for the dollar taco days on Wed and Thurs, and they have happy hour, so you can combine for value. I try to leave decent tips. The tacos are pretty good. The adobo one is the sketchiest. Not my style, but still ok.. Bottomless ice tea and sodas. I felt their beans to be on the meh side but they had a really good chorizo con frijoles. That was pretty tasty. Chips and salsa. Bar drinks are pretty standard fare. But I come here often for the dollar taco days, and like I said, I try to tip well.

Loved the dollar tacos. This is now our all time favorite mexican restaurant, clean restaurant and very curious employees.

This place serves as a restaurant and also has a little grocery store with all your mexican goodies if you want to chef it up at home. Ordered take out from here on a Sunday night. Ordered a torta and steak ranchero. Torta was a decent size and yummy. Ranchero sauce a bit salty with meat being a little bland in taste but it wasn't horrible, I would just choose something else next time. Lots of parking but area that restaurant is in can be sketchy.

Food is ok, not good, just ok. Guy waiting on was was not helpful at all, borderline rude. We wanted to order a drink and he just walked away. He forgot part of our meal. Never came back to check if things were ok. We're not going back!

I wish I could give them ZERO stars but unfortunately it's not offered. The service was HORRIBLE...if you love yourself do NOT come to this place. The waiters are AWEFUL and have a poor attitude. They never once came to the table to check on my party and I felt the whole time I was there like I was a burden to them. Never coming back, and truly I'm not sure how they can even call themselves a restaurant.

Had a late lunch today at this restaurant and was very impressed with the food and the waiter, who's name in Mario. I told him I came for lunch as a result of a friend's recommendation. I also told him that I heard he would sing and dance at my table, and he said there was a $2 charge for that. He went on to say for another fifty cents he would provide other entertainment. I ended up ordering a margarita and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the size. From now on this is going to be my 'go to' Mexican restaurant in the Medford area. I don't think I'll find a place I like better. When you stop by for a delightful meal, don't forget to try a side of Chorizo Beans. You will be glad you did, you won't be sorry. I could go on with praise, but you need to try this place yourself. I noticed a couple bad reviews on Yelp, to that I say give those people more than one chance, anyplace can have a problem day...

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!! Food was horrible, salsa tasted like enchilada sauce ... who knows what it really was! Had the 2 choice combo - cheese enchilada and chili relleno and the whole dish was COLD, and the I had indigestion all day and sick to my stomach. The service was so bad and will never go back! Save your money and save your stomach! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! This place is by far the best I've had in the area. Great wait staff, delicious food, and a great tequila selection along with a nice dessert with our meal at no charge. Definitely a regular customer now!!!

This new establishment is in the site of the old JJ North's Restaurant on the north side of Medford, OR. It shares space with several other businesses. For a taqueria this place has a pretty extensive menu. Prices are pretty good too - a buck and a quarter for tacos, a buck and a half for tamales. The staff is friendly and attentive. I had alambre - finely diced beef with bell peppers and onions and cheese. It came with beans and rice and tortillas. The beans were refritos, not outstandingly flavorful but with none of the odd flavors or textures that they have some places. The rice was quite tasty but a pretty small portion. The alambre came in quite a large portion, and was tender with very little gristle. It came with four corn tortillas. There was Tapatio sauce on the table. The only thing I'd do differently would be to blot out some of the extra grease that the meat was fried in. Otherwise, it was a pleasant and filling meal, and for just $6.50. Oh, they gave me chips and two kinds of salsa at the outset; when I finished that, they offered more. They prepare several soups on weekends, including menudo. So I'm looking forward to trying those soon. .

Had the dos combo meal with verde veggie enchilada and a chile relleno, husband had veggie burrito and chimichanga. I didn't care for the chile relleno but the enchilada and rice were delicious. My husband preferred the burrito over the chimichanga. The horchata was good and of course on the sweet side. Service was decent and pretty fast. They offer $5 lunch combos by the way.
