Visited twice. Pork Saltimbocca is fantastic. Returned for the Salmon chowder on both trips. The Salmon with grilled veggies was pretty tasty, like how they offered to cook the salmon rare or medium. Found out about a local red varietal called Druid's Fluid and found a case locally. They did raise the price between Spring of '14 and '15. The second visit they were a bit negligent on the service in refilling drinks, only thing holding them back from a five star review.

When we go for dinner, we must always order the risotto fritters. And the salads are wonderful. I love the vodka ravioli. The Pork Saltimbocca is really yummy, all the house specialties I have tried have been Delish! For lunches I usually get the Tri-tip Panini, fantastic. The servers are all sweethearts as well, great place.

There are faults in Cicily's stars and yes it could be the herbed bread or the charm of the dark wine, but I continue to accept invitations to this pasta house. Digs: An empty cold patio greets your approach and then a bustling wave of Italian-American flare hits you upon open doors; a dimly lit tabled arena with a welcoming bar to your right; a moderate decor to set the mood with framed paintings (I suspect prints) to set the final touch and take you to a place outside of Medford but not quite Italy; Ate: Risotto Fritters - an Italian-ish fantasy snuggling my taste buds - great crunchy fried medium-size balls; plated on a bed of delicious mushroom sauce; shareable with a group of four; probably the best part of our meal; Insalata Misto - a notch above iceberg - an okay menu option; dressed with candied walnuts for the whole family (I left a large handful eating around it); chunks of bacon that were were not jiving with my savory hunger; a basil-vinaigrette was intriguing; Herbed Bread - a comfort food - like a guilty bloated basket of rosemary sin; not even close to the best bread I've been served but a teenage excitement brewed for the "complimentary" bread; -- 1 friend at the table was not impressed nor satisfied with their Pasta Fresco, which alarmed me for an overall impression on her first visit; she was wanting "more" flavor and I tasted it and agreed; Drank: RoxyAnn Claret - (Local) - $ was the priciest glass on the menu but a solid red - mod. taste/ complexity - snob talk; some should fault to the next glass below for a "bang for your buck"; Zen of Zin - a nice ride on the jam train to fruitville; it's my usual here when I'm indecisive; a raspberry and blackberry delivery; Service: She was a cheeky waitress (fun demeanor - approved) but with a helping of over booked multi-tasking; you cannot directly blame her but then again it's in the "fine dining" category; she served my requested for a secret cocktail to our fellow table guest and struck up memorable conversation; Overall: It's quite shy on authenticity but if you're wanting to go to the next level of 'Merica Olive Garden Italian'...Cicily's is the spot. Their plates are hit and miss but when tasteful they are something to bring home and reheat. A near solid service with wine and a full bar to keep you smiling; it narrowly saves itself, but I would steer towards Pomodori's for best Medford "Italian" food.

Everything was fast and delicious, even right before close. The price was a bit steep, but nothing offensive. It's just tough to pay $40 for a Caesar, spaghetti, lasagna, and water. It is yummy though!

This place is very good... They have a good menu with some really tasty cuisine... I have been here 3 or 4 times and enjoyed it each time... The staff is pleasant, professional as well as knowledgeable of their menu... The dining area is nice and not like most places in Medford as it has it's own vibe... The portions are a little small but they make up for the portion size with details that take something from average to really good... And that's why I like Cicily's, because of the attention to details and great food!

So very good... Every time, every item was so fresh and well thought out. Don't let the green house dressing scare you off, it's amazing! TIP: order the tri-trip panini for lunch... Also amazing.

Had a twenty minute wait but wasn't that bad, we didn't know it would be so packed. They offered us a seat, some water; we watched one of their flat screens, then when a table opened up the kind waitress showed us to our seats. Very good atmosphere, the kind of place where you'd take a fancy date. Had gotten two wine menus and one dinner menu for two people, they exchanged one wine menu for a dinner one; they were very patient, the appetizer was very quick. The salmon chowder with the French bread took just enough time, we were so full that we could barely eat the delicious main entree! Didn't get any dessert, but we'll most likely be back for one of their two cheese Italian cheesecakes next meal!

This is a local favorite. The food is delicious and menu has enough to offer to make everyone happy. My favorite meal is the Tri-tip with Gorgonzola cheese sauce...10,000+ calories, but worth 5-months of exercising to burn it off. The basil infused lemonade is a fun treat as well, and their desserts may be small but if you want to really spoil yourself..it's worth it.

My mom took me and my son for my 50th birthday and my sons 13th birthday for lunch. My son ordered Insalata Margarita delicious! I ordered the scampi, it came with salad and bread. I enjoyed my meal including the salad and the bread was really good couldn't stop eating it. I also ordered the Rosemary infused honey lemonade and that was so delicious! they brought out gelato with a birthday candle for each of us and to end the celebration we ordered Creme Brulee because that is my all time favorite dessert . The overall price was very reasonable for the 3 of us and all the ingredients where very fresh and homemade taste my only complaint was the service, they were a bit stand off-ish at first but they seem to warm up to us maybe something going on among the workers? just a bit of a strange vibe

Went to Cicily's for lunch on a whim- the lounge is spacious & cozy simultaneously. The jazz music overhead gives it that real 'lounge' feeling. Also, the staff was friendly & prompt, making sure to mention their specials right away & check on if I had any questions- definitely informative & deserving of a tip. To start, their rosemary infused honey lemonade was tasty, but rather strong- the rosemary overpowered a lot of the lemon flavor, which was rather discouraging. The herb bread & soft butter was a refreshing change from that standard bagette & olive oil/balsamic vinegar combination most Italian restaurants have- & the warmth of everything overall was pleasant to the nose & palette. The salad was nice, although it would have been nicer if I'd gotten the raspberry vinaigrette I'd asked for the first time, as it comes pre-tossed in the dressing. When I finally received the right salad- it was much sweeter & creamier than I was expecting, which wasn't necessarily better... & came out a neon pink color I couldn't get past. As an appetizer, I tried their risotto fritters: these were delicious! Nice & crispy on the outside, soft & melt-in-your-mouth warm on the inside, & three fritters came with this amazing mushroom dill cream sauce. Normally, I'm allergic to mushrooms, but the few I can eat are scrumptious when cooked properly- like done here, criminis sliced thin & marinated in something before added to the cream sauce- inviting without being overpowering. For dinner, I had their special, linguine with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, & spinach in a gorgonzola cream sauce: the vinegar of the artichoke hearts cut through the strong gorgonzola nicely, & the chicken & other vegetables were in nice bite-sized pieces. My only caveat? I think they overcooked the pasta, as it broke apart rather easily, rather than stay in long strands like linguine should. The bill, including tip, came in at almost $32... not exactly cheap for lunch, which would've been preferred, but it's better than some prices I've seen for less food. Overall, turned out simply OK for me.

Fantastic meal! We had the risotto fritters and minestrone soup to start. Minestrone was good, standard comfort food. The fritters were delicious and unique. For the main course I had Alfredo fettuchini with added chicken and mushrooms added. The sauce was delicious and plentiful; and not too heavy with cheese or cream so I could ALMOST finish my plate before exploding. I had no room for dessert, but the group next to us had the tiramisu, and then MORE tiramisu... So I guess it was good!

This is my regular hang-out spot in Medford. Italian, casual fare. Prices super reasonable. Food excellent. I recommend the Smoked Chicken Fusilli Pasta and the Pork Saltimbocca. They have a varying wine list and carry a few micro-brews on tap. Full bar as well.

Did not love this place. After reading the reviews about long waits, we made reservations at lunch. We showed up to an empty, freezing cold restaurant. Seriously, it was 100 degrees outside, we walk in, and instantly we all are uncomfortably cold. Not a good start. Service was fine. The decor is dark and kind of depressing, honestly. The menu offered many tasty-sounding stuff. I ended up getting the applewood bacon and grilled chicken panini with garlic fries and a side salad. The sandwich was blah. I was not impressed-- it's hard to explain why, but it was just average and had nothing memorable about it. The salad might have been good, but mine was SO overdressed, it was more like soup with lettuce bits floating in it. I couldn't eat more than 2 bites as it was overwhelming. The fries were delicious. That's all anyone needs to order here. Everyone in my group agreed the fries were really the only good part of their meals. I would not return here. Just did not care for the ambiance or the food.

This place is wonderful and the staff was so very friendly. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and sId they were the best he'd ever had...very "fluffy." I had the spaghetti with Olive oil, garlic, basil, spinach and fresh tomatoes and I ate every bite. Really delicious and a nice evening for us after driving all day. Just moved here from San Diego, and I was happy to find an Italian place in my hood. I went there with my son, and we both really like it. I had the chicken piccata, which I thought was seasoned perfectly and tasty. I see a few folks groaning about the prices, but I didn't find them to be unreasonable.

My friends took me there for my birthday last night. Two of us had the shrimp scampi, and one had the ciapiano (sp?). We all loved our main courses. I think the salad for $2.50 with an entree left a lot to be desired. Big pieces of romain lettuce ( and I mean BIG)! There were about four croutons, a few small slices of purple onion and a few diced tomatoes and lots of purple cabbage. I didn't think it was worth $2.50. The desserts were OK with an average price of $4.50. We only ordered because it was my birthday. The service was outstanding, and we loved our waitress!

I'm not really sure how I feel about this place. My fiance and I went last night, as I've been wanting to try this place forever. We had no problem getting a table, and our waitress was very sweet. No complaints there. However, when we ordered the mozzarella (lightly fried and breaded, I guess kind of like mozzarella sticks), we were informed that they were out. Out? How are you an "Italian" restaurant, and out of mozzarella at 8:00 on a Friday night??? Alrighty then. The Fiance got the calamari, which he liked. I didn't have any...not a huge calamari fan. We proceeded to order our entrees- I got the alfredo with chicken, The Fiance got the scampi. When it came out, I was very surprised at the small portions. My dish was literally $15, and I got a small plate of fettucine with very watery (but good) sauce and odd balls of chicken. The chicken had weird stringy stuff (looked like pieces of ramen noodles...maybe it was fat, but I fear it was veins), and there were rather large, undercooked pieces of garlic. Some of them tasted...off. I did like that the sauce wasn't as heavy and thick as most alfredo sauces. It was different and still had good flavor. The Fiance liked his scampi. I didn't try it because I'm not much of a shrimp fan. Okay, I have to be in the mood for seafood, and I just wasn't. I, too, noticed that it was cold in there. The waitress offered to move us, but we declined. Well, I declined when The Fiance gave me the hairy eyeball lol. He thinks I'm way too high-maintenance with some things. The bill was roughly $50. I thought that was a big ridiculous. I might come back for lunch, as it seems that they have better offerings then, but it probably won't be any time soon. I didn't hate it, but I was definitely not impressed. I feel it's very overpriced. If they want to charge that much, they need a bit more on their dinner menu, to be sure they're stocked with the items that are ON the menu, increase portion sizes (I'm not saying they have to be HUGE, but I should have a bit left to take home at $15 a plate of friggin' pasta...pasta is cheap!), and pay closer attention to the freshness/"doneness" of their food. What I had last night was worth $11, tops. We also only had water to drink.

Do not eat here! I don't get it. The owner and chef at this restaurant do not have a clue as to what fine Italian cuisine is all about. The portions are small, lacking in true Italian tastes, and poor quality. The décor and beautiful but empty bar are deceiving because there is nothing quality about this place. I ordered the Olio Pasta Fresca. Too small of a portion for what they charge and it had absolutely no flavor at all. The chicken (which is about a $4 extra charge) was diced and placed most sparingly. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs, can't go wrong with spaghetti and meatballs right? Well again another tasteless dish was presented. The menu was very limited and lacked traditional Italian dishes. I never thought I would see the day when I would say "We should have gone to Olive Garden", but even the Olive Garden delivers a much better Italian dish for about half the price. I will not be back here. It is sham, a joke, and one of the biggest dinning rip-offs in Southern Oregon. Shame on you Cicly's!

My first night in Medford for work and a colleague recommended Cicily's for dinner - I'm glad we came to check it out! I'd probably rate it more about a 3.5 (but I like to round up, not down). This is an unassuming strip-mall location, but they offer up a decently-appointed bar and seating area. At 6pm on a cold January Thursday, the place was pretty empty. We were seated right away and a waiter came over immediately to get our drink order started. He was very pleasant and helpful as I waded my way through the local brew selection (and requested several tasters... yeah, I was *that* girl). After settling on a beer, we got down to the real business of ordering dinner. I settled on the flat iron steak with gorgonzola and chose the risotto (in lieu of potatoes) on the side. I added the side salad with basil vinaigrette as well. The side salad was a little lacking - a lot of basic iceburg without much else to "church it up" - the basil vinaigrette was really delicious, but a few more ingredients, such as olives, cucumber, tomato, etc., would have gone a long way in brightening up my starter course. All that was forgiven, though, because my dinner companions could not stop raving about the salmon chowder (half of us are from Seattle, so they must be doing something right down here in Southern Oregon). My steak was cooked aboslutely perfectly (blue rare - the only way I eat steak). It came with a generous topper of gorgonzola (it cost about $1 more I think) and was so tender, juicy, and flavorful - it about melted on my tongue. The risotto was perfectly cooked, too. Not too soft, not too hard, and a sweet, buttery flavor that complemented the tangy cheese & steak really well. I ate far more than I had intended to. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, we were served quickly and never felt rushed. I read some of the other Yelp reviews and wonder if they caught the joint on an 'off' day - I'll come back this way.

I have eaten at Cicily's many times and it has always been good. However, tonight was about as bad as it can get. The server was friendly enough and told us about the special which had shrimp, Italian sausage, and ravioli. I asked her if there was any dairy in it because I am lactose intolerant. She said no so I assumed that the ravioli was meat. My friend ordered a chicken dish and we ordered some calamari as a starter. As it turned out the only thing that was good were the dinner salads. The calamari was tasteless. She brought my dish and then asked if was okay that the ravioli was filled with cheese. They didn't have any meat ravioli. I explained to her again that I could not have dairy. She then took the dish back and substituted some pasta. The dish ended up being very oily and totally lacked flavor, My friend's chicken dish had this big blob of partially melted cheese of top and just was not good. She ended up leaving most of it. I hope that this was a one time bad experience because as I mentioned I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past.

Very cute little Italian restaurant! We had great service and the food was very good! The bread is served with a pesto butter that is so tasty, and the minestrone was super flavorful. We also shared the garlic gorgonzola fries, mmmmm. I would definitely suggest this place to my friends:)

Cicily's Pastaria is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to go have a lovely outdoor dinner, where we know the food and service will be excellent. We have not eaten inside, but I agree that the decor is a bit dark. The outdoor patio seating is lovely and we have never been forgotten. The waitstaff is excellent and willing to make modifications to menu items as needed. The food is quite good. The spaghetti and meatballs is nothing to write home about, but the pesto linguini (add roasted vegetables from the roasted vegetable risotto!) is fresh and flavorful. The smoked chicken fusili actually has smoked chicken and is very good. My husband had the smoked prime rib special on a Friday evening, with vegetables and potato that were the best we've had in Medford. The desserts are lovely, including a salted caramel gelato. The wine list features several local wines, and the bar manager is open to suggestions for other local wineries. We are really enjoying Cicily's and it is now our "go to" place for out of town guests. *edit we went to Cicily's and decided to try different items from our favorites. I had the "SPICY VODKA RAVIOLI" with italian sausage. I was disappointed. It was flavorless, even with the sausage and it had no spice at all. I will not order that again. My husband had the chicken special, and while he said it tasted decent the portion was very small. We had wine and two entrees and the bill including tip was over $70. I am not sure if prices went up or what, but it seemed high for what we got. I did have the salmon chowder and that was quite tasty. We will continue to visit Cicily's, and continue to try other menu items, but we may find that our favorites are the best thing they have to offer.

The food isn't very good, I ordered sausage with my vodka ravioli, $3.95 extra, and they crumbled it into the sauce. Alfredo sauce looks like a butter sauce and not a lot of follow through on the service.

I've been under the weather for a couple days and thought getting out of the house and going out to eat might make me feel better. It did, but no thanks to this place. We arrived at around 7pm and when we walked through the front door the place was full, including the entire bar (save 2 cramped barstools in the front) and a line of people waiting to be seated. I turned toward the hostess who immediately looked me up and down while practically forcing herself to spit out something resembling "hello" which was insincere and border line rude. She seemed annoyed that two more people were in the restaurant and that they had interrupted her conversation with the other hostess. Ok.... 30 minute wait and we were invited to stand in a 3foot doorway with 10 other people or sit at the already full bar. Really? We walked outside and decided to eat somewhere else. Look. This is Medford. I expect this kind of elitism from good places in NY, LA, and even Portland (sometimes) but not from Medford. You're right next door to a golf supply store. Really? I could see a practically empty room in the back, why not sit customers waiting in there? How about some accommodations? Either way, we didn't stick around because we were so starving we just couldn't, it was because of the way we were treated when we walked in. First impressions, right? That hostess was a bitch. Now reading all the negative reviews, I haven't had one good Italian Food experience in OREGON let alone Medford. I'll likely try and go back at a less busy time and then I'll give an updated review about the food.

I went here tonight with my family and Gaberial our server was incredible. It was my 40th birthday and they worked with my girlfriend Nikki on having my cake in their refrigerator and ice cream she brought in special for me. All of ate their food, which was incredible, every dish. Their homemade bread, dressings for salad, soup, pasta was top notch. The atmosphere was nice and clean which is a big plus. The bathrooms were kept clean even during their dinner rush. As a restaurant owner myself, I was very happy with the greeting at the door to the finish. Almost forgot, the prices were considerably lower than the high quality food. If you want some five star food at a three star price, this is your place. Olive Garden who?????? The food is on par with any place I've eaten in Vegas, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Wanted fabulous Italian food. This was above average and I think a little pricey. We were happy with the food and the service was excellent. This would be my 3rd or 4th choice for Italian in Medford. My real rating would be 3.5 but I can't do that here!

Wish I would of Yelped first. This place is nice and new but the food is just average and they charge extra if you want shaved parm on your pasta. How tacky! With the prices they charge you'd think they could afford cheese! I have never ate at an Italian restaurant that did not give you cheese for your pasta. They do offer the powdered stuff that you get from pizza places. We won't be back.

I stopped in for lunch here a few months ago and had some very good risotto. Recently I tried again and had some of the worst risotto I have ever had. That said, it is a nice room, the staff is fast and friendly and many of the other items I saw served looked pretty nice. Would I try again? Maybe.

Glad I didn't read reviews before trying this place. We've traveled Southern Oregon for several years, eaten at all the big name gourmet places in Ashland and points north. Most times, reviews were close to our experience. A local tipped us about Cicily's and we are so grateful for it. Food was authentic and outstanding (simple spaghetti meatballs and eggplant parmesan that were filled with rich flavors and fresh herbs, etc.) Salmon chowder a " must have". Extensive wine list with many good choices for "just a glass". Prices $1-3 higher than more ordinary places might charge but food quality made the cost a bargain. This is definitely not Olive Garden or a pizza joint with red sauce and pasta. No problems with portions, salad contents, or service. All well above " norm". We sadly left some pasta, soaked up all the dressings, oils, etc. with the warm fresh bread that accompanied our meal, and vowed to tell others about this Medford gem. Can't wait to return and try other dishes mentioned in earlier reviews. Rating would be 5 except we haven't tried everything (yet).

A new restaurant that occupies Keltons space and the best Italian restaurants in the valley. Very nice atmosphere and good service. The food is marvelous and have eaten there twice now and had excellent meals, fresh unique salads and some of the best salmon chowder I have ever tasted. A real treat. The buffalo lasagne was excellent, and the Bolgnese was simple and delicious. The desserts are also amazing and the bread pudding was wonderful. I hope this go in the space is successful and it is light years ahead of the places that were there before.

I'm surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating! Here's why I've been wanting to try Cicily's for the past few months: I work at a hotel, and therefore I'm constantly recommending my favorite restaurants, and hearing feedback from guests about places to try. A couple of women had wanted a quick lunch, so I told them about Cicily's and said I hadn't tried it, and hadn't heard any reviews about it, but mentioned it looked quite nice on the inside. They told me they'd take and chance, came back, and said it was absolutely perfect. As other guests asked about recommendations, I told them about this place and said that other guests loved it. I've sent many people here, and haven't had a single negative review--- only people saying it was excellent. So my boyfriend took me here for dinner on New Year's Eve, and honestly I would come here again and again. To start with, the people greeting at the door, as well as the woman who served us, were superb. Very quick service, very friendly, and comfortable atmosphere. My favorite Italian that I've tried in Medford is Vinny's Italian kitchen: I love the atmostphere so much--it's like eating in someone's living room, very home-like and comfortable; also, free bread before the meal. Cicily's was not quite as homey as Vinny's, and did not have free bread with the meal, but when we ordered a breadbasket, more bread kept coming at no extra cost (it was only about $4, and included butter, marinara, and pesto--YUM). I ordered a three-cheese ravioli dish (soooooo good, and filling I was surprised I could finish), and he ordered spaghetti and meatballs (his Italian standard). He said the meatballs were amazing but the spaghetti wasn't anything exceptional. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to go again; maybe for lunch next time! :)

The first time we came here we loved it but we came today for lunch and the food was not great and service was not good. How can you tell your waiter that the food was not great for the price you pay if they don't even ask how was your food? I had fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms and all I tasted was mushrooms, overall not worth the price you pay.

I've come here a number of times - never a bad experience. The servers are all very welcoming and knowledgeable - service is always great. I like the booths but I also like the patio seating if weather allows. I often have the salmon chowder which is a meal in itself. Their salads are fresh and eye-pleasing and their basil vinegarette has a very refreshing taste. The anti-pasta is a wow .... ample enough for a large family. This is just a comfortable, consistently good place to have lunch or dinner - one of my favorites in Medford.

Cicily may be the best privately owned restaurant in So Oregon. It's no secret we are restaurant challenged here in this area.. Cicily challenges that known reputation. Great atmosphere, warm, interesting, cozy. The food is excellent. Others reviewers name the favorites. I've eaten at most of the restaurants in Medford and others is So Oregon. Cicily is my wife and my favorite. i really appreciate this Medford treasure.

My husband and I have been back here many times and it just keeps getting better. The food is awesome and the service is great. It is definitely our favorite restaurant in Medford. We both ordered steak here the other night and it was amazing. We were in Reno a month ago and spent over $100 on a nice steak dinner but the one we had at Cicily's was WAY better and half the price.

I took my in-laws here for dinner last night. Service was fantastic and our food was wonderful. I travel all over the west for work and this is one of the best places I have been all year! Can't wait to come back to Medford and eat here again.

This restaurant has some of the best food I have ever tried. Whether it's a sandwich or pasta or whatever you choose it is absolutely delicious. Great service, great food,and an exceptional staff! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever visiting Medford, Oregon.

Hey! What's all the griping about? Went there for lunch (2 on a Saturday and they were busy). Liked it so much we went back for dinner. Liked that, too. Food is fine and servers exceptionally nice. Really appreicated the subdued lghting.
