Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

I fully agree with the prior reviews, this place is just nasty. I would give them less than 1 star if I could. Lousy selection of food and what little is avaiable, the taste is just horrible. Won't be back.

I guess I shouldn't be so hard on Izzys but for ten bucks I should walk away a happy diner? Instead I'm left wondering why didn't I just eat salad only? The young girl was nice and explained that the new grill entres were totally worth it. Shrimp kabobs, steak, Carolina Pulled Pork etc. My wife ordered the shrimp and now I know the real meaning of the word, 3 mini shrimp arrived. They were TINY!!! My steak was basically shoe leather. So my advice is - yeah go there for the buffet but just get salad and pizza.

This place is a SH!T HOLE! So we thought a coupon was an incentive to try this place out. I haven't chowed down at a pizza buffet since I was a kid so the plunge was well earned. Instead the only plunging that took place was in my toilet back home after a night of upset stomach. The place looked like a dump. I arrived to the buffet filled with hot slices of pizza, potato wedges, macaroni-n-cheese product and other guilty starches. The salad bar looked more like a tossed salad of itself. Lettuce, was falling on to the floor and dressings dripped in other salad toppings as if a child decided to pour it everywhere. I got back to my table with a plate full of food and took a bite into what appeared to be pepporoni pizza. Like Charlie Murphy said "Wron! Wron!"This wasn't pizza, it was melted white rubber on top of Prego-like sauce product and tasteless dough . As a childhood veteran to Caesar's Pizza, I know what shit pizza product is and this was it. I couldn't take another bite. I looked around me to find several piles of dirty dishes stacked against the beverage stations. There was nobody to give us drinks so I went and got my own. Did I mention the food fallen in the Ice box? So much filth made me sick. I went to the restroom but was stopped by a stoned out teenager who told me not to go in the stall as he walked out after piling a huge corn infested dump that clogged it indefinitely. I left the bathroom grabbed my coat paid the overpriced check and walked out. Yelp needs to change the one-star minimum as that gives this Health Inspection Nightmare too much credit. Take your worst enemy here but not your kids...... maybe the brat.

Wow. I totally expected to be one of those people who gave Izzy's one star. Just before leaving the work site for lunch, I commented to an employee that Izzy's is one of those places about which I say, "One last time..." about every year or so. This restaurant it situated right next to Staples and since I was there anyway, I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Surprisingly, one of my major annoyances with this place is that the pizza bar they advertise is always empty. Not this time--it was fresh, hot, and there was plenty of it. The salad bar surprised too--the toppings were fresh and tasted alright and if I had to complain I would say that they ought to have spoons for eating it because the lettuce and other toppings were chopped small enough to warrant one. I avoided the "ultimate buffet" or what ever they call it, because the food looks and always has tasted terrible. For $9.99 and being close to work, I can't complain. It was an amazing experience for Izzy's.... and that's saying a lot!

I used to live in Oregon and always loved Izzys pizza. I came back to visit family and decided to go get pizza. There was 11 of us total and we went to the McMinnville location for lunch. We arrived at 3:30. When we walked in we were greeted by a very unfriendly girl named Kylie. I asked her if we made it for lunch, and she rolled her eyes and told us that it was dinner time and the buffet price is now $12. She sat us at a large table and right away I asked her if we could have a booth because it would be better with our little kids. She again rolled her eyes, and told us that we would have to wait until she cleaned it. We told her that was no problem and we could wait. The restaurant itself was filthy. I'm not sure if they had just had a rush or what, but every table in the dining room was covered in dirty plates. We almost walked out, but I was super hungry so we stayed. We all just wanted pizza, so I asked Kylie if they had a menu so we could order a few pizzas. She told us that we were unable to order pizzas, they only had the buffet available. Weird! I asked to speak to a manager. After about 5 min, the manager came out and she told us that we could have the lunch price because it would be cheaper than ordering pizzas. So we all got the pizza buffet. There was 3 small pizzas out, which were all old. I asked them if they could bring out some fresh pepperoni pizzas, they said they were cooking. I checked back after 10 min, and they finally put one out. It was gone in one minute flat between our group and the one other table at the restaurant. Again I asked for more pizza. They again said it was cooking. After 20 min of NO pizza we decided to leave. We packed up the kids and got ready to head out. As I was paying, the lady put out 6 fresh pizzas. It's like they were waiting for us to leave to put them out!! So rude!! I will definitely never be going to this restaurant ever again!! And my family won't either. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to deal with these issues or this location like all the other Izzys restaurants will be gone soon. And Kylie needs to learn some customer service skills. She might have just been having a bad day, but she really took it out on us, and that is not fair.

I really got my hopes up on this place. My husband usually goes to the one closer to Hillsboro where he works and raved about it so we decided to go to the one in Mac . They didn't have much of a variety and a lot of the food had been out sitting a while . As far as service goes, everyone was polite . Nobody checked up on us or anything (I'm Not sure if there supposed to).

What the hell? Overpriced garbage with rude customer service. I know how this place works. I eat, you take my plates (which no one did) and I pay you people close to 30 bucks. We walk in at 8:15and the manager says we stop putting out food at 8:20. Which I get it. You close at 9. Got to get off work because you don't care about your job. We get seated and I'm about to order a steak. The lady at the grills first words are you got 5 minutes to order a steak in a rude tone. Excuse me?! I'm paying for this crap. I'll take as much time as I need. You picked where you wanted to work. Don't take it out on me. I know you have to clean your area and you were probably hoping I wouldn't get a steak as you were cleaning it. Too bad. You close at 9 not 8:45, not 8:40. Don't like it? Quit! Do your job. Lost my business for sure.

Yuck! Put simply, the food here SUCKS. The pizza on the buffet is edible and decent if you spent your life eating frozen pizza and had nothing to compare it to, if not, it's not going to make you very happy. If you just got rescued from starving to death in the wilderness, you'll be happy here until this stuff hits your intestines - then, clear out some time and let the kids know not to knock on the door or bother you for a few hours. The salad bar looks fresh and is the only thing healthy, but I didn't come to a pizza place to eat salad. I met my family here for a little after-Christmas gathering & the menu seemed decent. There's a selection of items from "the grill" that gave me the impression I'd be okay; a tiny piece of steak cooked one of four ways, deep-fried fish (not sure what type) and four sliders - fish, steak with too much cheap horse radish, fish and chicken. You fill out a small ticket with your choice and table number but today the teriyaki chicken on the menu isn't on the little order ticket so I guess it's deep-fried fish that tastes like it was soaked in a salt brine, and gamey-tasting steak. WTF? Out of chicken and the steak tastes like crap ;( The staff was VERY friendly and they kept the food stocked and bussed our table frequently, but I'm NEVER coming to an Izzy's ever again. Mid-way through our dinner my dad had terrible diarrhea and I hated myself for eating here.. Never again.

I have been to Izzy's in other towns and it always makes me miss the one here in McMinnville. The staff are quick and courteous, the food is fresh, the grillmasters are very good at what they do. The place is clean, and comfortable.
