My husband is a native of Tennessee. One of the things he's really missed since moving to Oregon is good BBQ. We are THRILLED to have Haagenson's Catering & BBQ! The food is really good and the staff is nice. Their ribs are amazing and the pulled pork is worth a try (they sell it by the pound for take-out). They've been in business for years as a caterer, so they've had plenty of time to test their recipes.

Is it bad that I want to get married again just so I can have Haagenson's catering once more? Craig catered my wedding and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. He was incredibly helpful in the very beginning, listening to what we wanted to do and never trying to push anything on us. He was also able to accommodate some late additions to our menu and change of rentals. During our event the presentation of everything was above and beyond what I expected and Craig was on hand to make sure it was all delicious and went smoothly. Amazing customer service. But lets talk about the food here. We got a buffet with 2 main courses. several sides and some appetizers. Not only was this easily the best buffet food I've ever had in my life, it was some of the best food I've ever had. The BBQ spiced rubbed chicken was incredible. Craig had talked us into doing thighs instead of breasts because they stay moist longer and he was right on point with that. Even a few days later (we kept the leftovers) the chicken was STILL amazing. Another guest favorite was the smoked salmon platter, a last minute addition to our menu but also absolutely amazing. People were raving about it for days afterwards. You will not at all be disappointed if you pick Haagenson's to cater your event. I am looking forward to my next trip to McMinnville just so I can eat at his BBQ again. Fantastic food and a great person to interact with.

Craig has been wonderful at working with my fiancee and I to come up with the perfect menu for our summer wedding in Mcminnville. We came in to do a tasting and were overwhelmed by his hospitality, thoroughness and of course, DELICIOUS food! So although we haven't had the actual catering yet, we are confident this is the best choice for service, quality and value.

I absolutely love spicy food challenges and will travel to various places (funds permitting) just to attempt those challenges. I had read about the Flaming MOFO challenge through another website and just had to try it. My friend Pete and I completed it...I did it in under five minutes, Pete finished in under seven minutes. I thought it was pretty spicy, but not the hottest thing ever. Ice cream afterward was a great reward. We were treated extremely well; the people there are wonderful. Best of all, the food was amazing. While I would definitely do the challenge again, I would also want to try their other offerings in the future first.

Flaming Mofo is this spicy eating challenge at Ribslayer (Maybe their old name was Haagenson's). You'll get a big juicy pulled pork + beef brisket sandwich with some crazy hot sauce mixed inside - Jolokia's, Habeneroes, Chipotles, jalapenos and Black Mamba Choclate Habenero sauce. You have to finish in 15 mins. I just had a challenge last weekend and finished it in 6 mins and 40 sec. It was so hot my whole head was on fire for a while. They give you jugs of water and a bowl of ice cream after you finish. :) But the sandwich meat was so delicious and juicy that I wanna eat one without the hot sauce next time. They got this huge smoker out front. These guys are really serious about their bbq. Reasonable price too.

Craig and Theresa make the best BBQ I have ever eaten. I love their sauce line, and massive custom grill. Try the pulled pork sandwich and tell them Consumption sent ya.

Came here for lunch with some co-workers. I had a simple pulled pork sandwich ($7). It's served with thick ruffled chips and a pickle. One of my co-workers swears by the Thai Peanut Slaw (with a nice scoop of BBQ on top!). Flavorful, good portion, very friendly staff, inviting atmosphere. There are about 5 tables, 1 of which is for standing at, so space is limited. It's also easy to miss if you drive by too fast. It's located in a building whose entrance is set in from the street. Check out their website. There's a famous hot sandwhich "The Flaming MOFO" there...if you eat it within 10 minutes you get on the "Wall of Flame". Nice! You can also find this delicious BBQ at the McMinnville Saturday Market ( themarketinfo.org ). Hands down the best BBQ in the area!

We recently were married and had Haagenson's Catering & BBQ cater our outdoor wedding. We had such a wonderful experience with the whole crew that helped assist on our special day! Craig the owner and head chef did a phenomenal job! Craig was open to new menu ideas and leading up to the wedding offered food selections that he knew would pair well with our event and time of year. The food was outstanding- the baron of beef was my personal favorite! The food was displayed beautifully and impressed all of our guests! They were very professional and knew exactly what to do and how to serve a large outdoor gathering. Craig not only made helpful recommendations leading up to our wedding but knew how stressful the week of the wedding is for a bride- He had absolutely everything under control and ran a well oiled machine.
