Best tacos! This place is great. We stop here every time that we drive from Bend to Portland (and back). in fact i just called to see if they are open for breakfast....and they are. I will be going there tomorrow for some carne asada tacos and rolled tacos with guac. I get the "street" tacos and they are almost as good as the ones that i used to get from the little taco shop that we always went to in Rosarito Beach Mexico. They have a great salsa bar too.

Best Mexican we have ever had! Home made everything. Good service and great prices. Large selection of Salsa. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. We have came here three times and great every time!

I ordered a Zacatecano burrito, according to the menu it had chicken but actually my burrito had pork. What if I was allergic to pork? What if someone allergic to pork ordered the same? The service it's okay but the tool a long time to prepare the food. There was no salsa at all. This is my second time here, I came back because I was satisfied last time but this time I didn't enjoy my food.

Drive through Madras on the way to Lake Billy, and Taco Bell was closed! It was 10:45 pm! I had never seen a Taco Bell close so early, but Sonic and McDonald's didn't sound good. We passed this little Mexican joint and despite the creepy outside, I had the urge to go. We went and there was an empty car sitting in the drive-in, but nobody else around. I looked for Sopes(my favorite to get everywhere) and they had it! Along with active of other inexpensive things! I chose a chicken taco also. Great prices, and pretty dang good food! The packaging is hilarious and like nothing I've ever seen before, but the food was great! I recommend stopping 100% for something quick and tasty!

Posada has another branch in Redmond, OR - that's a more amenable place. This one in Madras has good food - really very good food, and not expensive. But they first tried to charge $20 and something; I questioned the cost and they reduced it to $15-something. I counted the cost of the items, and they came to a dollar less. When we got our food, my dining companion mentioned they had neglected to include a portion of guacamole (cost 50 cents). We asked about that and they gave us the guacamole without asking for more. We were still paying 50 cents too much. Is this a mistake in addition on someone's part? I might think so except for the original request for $20+. The food makes it worth eating here, but watch your charges especially if you are out of town. On the more positive side, the salsa bar has an abundance of peppers (3 kinds), fried onions, cilantro, radishes and pickled carrots. They are all good. The menu has a good variety. In spite of the weirdness, we'd still eat here again, except for the wonderful Los Gatos Salvadorean Restaurant one street over. So we'll be more likely to wait till Redmond to eat at a La Posada.

Good dive for road trip munchies. We enjoyed a huge burrito and taco/ chile relleno combo. Horchata was awful. Wish they did not use styrofoam.

Had the La Posada breakfast burrito which was ok. Filled me up but not the most succulent breakfast burro of my life. Menu claims Mexican salsa as an ingredient but mine was really dry. Fine if you need a quick fix but not super duper best in class taste.

Tender and succulent carne asada. Tortas are great, the bread is fresh and flavorful. Open for breakfast until late, (1 am on fri & sat) I love this place.

Good fresh tasting food. Tamales and carnitas taco for me.Great salsa! Inexpensive: $20 for 4 to have a light meal. Local folks eating there means it must be good.

Based on two stops here I have to say this is a great place, with good food, good service, friendly staff, and a nice selection of menu items. Unfortunately this place is in Madras and I am in Portland!

Vegetarian options were available. We both had different burritos and they were both great. I had lovely chunks of avocado and enjoyed good flavoring in the beans.

Some of the best Mexican "street food" I've had in a long time. It's not fancy or upscale. It is something you'd expect at a giant Mexican family gathering or at a taco truck in LA. Yum. Get the California Burrito, if you love potatoes. (Who doesn't?!) The cabeza tacos are to die for, if you are brave enough to convince yourself to eat cow head. Pollo asada plate is delish with all the fixings and house made flour tortillas. The guacamole was creamy but too salty. Service was great.

I don't know if this place is the same as the La conga/Muchas Gracias brand, but they seem very similar. Great tasting affordable food is a slightly creepy atmosphere. Good sized burritos too. I love the marinated onions in the salsa bar. I've never seen those before at a place like this.

Don't miss this spot for late night eats in madtown. The Redmond location is cleaner nicer and open later but madras still awesome. The carnitas are wonderful and the carne asada fries are great. Stop there for good cheap eats.

Not authentic style tacos. Boring ingredients, plain flavor, not well seasoned. It's a clean restaurant with VERY friendly staff, but the food is not worth your time if you're looking for quality.

This is really excellent Mexican food. The pollo asada was moist on the inside with a great crust. The beans are seasoned perfectly. The fresh salsa bar is awesome - from pico de gallo to roasted scallions. Bottom line: this place never disappoints!

Authentic Mexican food. I usually get the Pollo Asado Burrito, which is a bargain. It's huge, delicious, and cheap. I love the salsa bar with its grilled onions and jalapenos, variety of homemade salsas (hard to choose which one is best!) and sliced limes and radishes. This is a former drive-in, so the bathroom is around the back outside, and the atmosphere is pretty dismal. Still, this place has the best grab-and-go Mexican food in town.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
