What a lovely B&B. I was lucky to find Bronze Antler at a bad time. The great weather I'd hoped for and that had been in the forecast turned into endless rain and even some early fall snow. I later found out I'd picked the rainiest September in Oregon's recorded history! As if we don't get enough rain in Oregon! The idea of camping in that mess of wet was unappealing, almost nauseating, just about against my religion, and the campground there is like camping in your local park, so I stopped at the Bronze Antler instead. Heather was a warm and friendly host and the place was comfortable, cosy and welcoming. It turned out to be the perfect place to hunker down for a couple of days until the worst of the weather passed. It was also in very good shape, being very well cared for something not true of all the B&Bs I've stayed at. Their cleaner is astonishing as I normally have to contend with dust issues because of allergies, but not this time. The place was immaculate. The bathroom had everything you could hope for and a few things you'd never have expected. The shower was awesome. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The furniture, art and fixings also all added to the experience. I'm not sure I've ever stayed at a B&B with more nice touches. If they have forgotten anything I have no idea what it could be. They have some nice touches aimed at romantic couples so if you're looking for a romantic place to stay in a beautiful part of the world where you will be very, very well taken care of, then this is the place. It's also a great place for those doing work, with good wifi, plenty of power ports, a desk and so on, as well as public spaces where one can comfortably work. And if you just want somewhere to rest your weary soul, this is the place. I plan to return. And if the damned endless rain is around, this is a great place to stay dry and toasty.

We stayed here a few years ago on our anniversary, it was our first B & B experience and by far our favorite. Great breakfast, and in the off season the hosts can better focus on personalized service! We will most definitely be back!

We had the privilege in meeting Heather and Bill and staying for three nights in their fantastic B&B in one of the most beautiful settings in Oregon (sweeping views of the Wallowa Mountains and the Eagle Cap Wilderness), in perfect weather. We had the great joy of staying in their Mirror Lake Suite, which represents the bedroom and bathroom we both want when we win the Lottery! Beautifully decorated room, with huge king-sized bed, graced with a huge TV for watching DVDs (dozens supplied), Bose Bluetooth speaker for smartphone music, a nice CD player with a variety of romantic CDs supplied, it just goes on and on. And the bathroom! We hardly wanted to leave, as weird as that sounds. It had appliances we've never heard of: a toilet with heated seat, automatic lids, integrated bidet (and dryer!), and a 10-function remote control...; an enclosed steaming shower enclosure, with multiple choices of shower heads (including a foot wash), lights, and a radio; a huge tub for two, with lights and multiple-choice jets. Astounding...and fun! And then we get to the breakfasts, easily the best meals available in the Joseph/Enterprise area... Heather takes great pride in serving a wonderful variety of foods, too many to mention here, but rest assured you'll be impressed! She knows the area and its history and happily shares that knowledge. Wow. What an experience. You'll love Joseph and you'll LOVE this B&B and its hosts. Our highest recommendation! Mike & Judy

I visited Joseph and thought it would be nice to stay there for the night and I was very lucky to got their last room. This B&B is so great. The rooms are very cozy, my bed was more than comfortable, so I didn't wanna get up in the morning. In the bathroom I found everything that I needed and don't needed. Very caretaking. I got greek yoghurt with homemade granola and fresh steawberries for breakfast, as well as some kind of healthy pancakes with different syrups and sausages/eggs (which I didn't take). The pancakes were so delicious. Too bad that Joseph is that far away....I would stay there again tomorrow. Not to forget....there is a small refridgerator for guests stuff, which is filled with different sodas (for free) and they have a plate with homemade Cookies and brownies for the guests and cream sherry, also included.

Simply wonderful. Bill and Heather are hospitable, detail-oriented, and a pleasure as hosts. Our room and service were impeccable and I can't think of any way that our stay could have been improved (except for being longer). Take your high standards here and be prepared to be impressed.

We've now visited The Bronze Antler twice in just six months. Once for our anniversary in June and again with our family at Christmas. The beds are sumptuous- it's difficult to peel yourself out even for brewed coffee and Bill's delicious breakfasts! He's spoiled us with ableskivers and frittatas, locally made sausage and fresh fruit. Heather remembers key details and has such a kind and caring heart. I wish they would adopt us but I doubt Madigan would approve. Thank you. We can't wait to come back!

It was just an overnight stay for a mid-week 'weekend', but it was splendid. Bill and Heather are wonderful hosts and their home is a delight. Perhaps a new annual tradition.

Fabulous BnB. Eighth time we have stayed here. Will be back again. Heather and Bill are great knowledgeable hosts. Whether it is where to eat or to hike or activities Heather can give you a great recommendation. The breakfasts are heavenly too.

So amazing! We spent our 5 year anniversary here last weekend and just fell in love with the town and this bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Mirror Lake Suite which is perfect! No detail has been overlooked. The bed is amazingly comfortable, tall ceilings, lovely windows to view the mountains, private garden entrance, steam and more shower, bidet, pipeless spa tub, just everything you could ever want. It's an add on, so you don't really share walls with the rest of the house which is rare for a B+B, so perfect for a romantic getaway, or if you aren't used to B+B's. The house itself is just beautiful and designed/decorated time appropriate. There are beautiful, peaceful gardens, a bocce court, lots of benches to sit back with some wine and a book, a wonderful front porch, all with mountain views and within walking distance to all that town has to offer. And a quick drive from beautiful Lake Wallowa. Honestly, it doesn't get any better. The breakfasts were incredible, served at your choice of time between 7:30 and 9:30 I believe - they rotate from sweet one day to savory the next and back. Our first breakfast was strawberries with whipped cream, a vegetable frittata, pork sausage, and tomatoes marinated in aged balsamic with your choices of coffee, tea and juices. Simply splendid. The second morning we enjoyed pannetone french toast with yogurt and bacon (I can't remember the fruit and sides) and your choice of syrups (maple, tart cherry, boysenberry) and the third morning was melon, eggs to order, sausage, potatoes, and tomatoes and your choice of condiments (hot sauces, green tomato chutney type thing that is amazing!, and jalapeno relish). We were stuffed, and only ate lunch one of the days because of the amazing breakfast. Not to mention the beautiful table setting, dishes, etc. Just perfect. Heather and Bill are amazing hosts - they are attentive but not intrusive, accommodating, friendly, and warm. It feels like you are staying with family friends. They are very knowledgeable and can provide you with as much or as little directions/ideas on what to do as you'd like. They can answer any question you might have about things to do, or places to go, and with maps and books and brochures to boot! We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts, and this is our favorite. We honestly cannot wait to return.

We just got back from a long weekend up in Joseph and stayed at the Bronze Antler Bed & Breakfast. We were in the Chief Joseph Mountain Room (see photo of view from the room). I would recommend staying at the Bronze Antler to anyone without any hesitation whatsoever. Heather (Bill was out of town most of our stay) was so great - excellent breakfasts, tons of recommendations for things to do in/around Joseph. It it clear she takes great pride in her B&B. I plan to go back sometime and play some bocce ball on the property's court in the warm summer months.

Bronze Anlter is a wonderful stop for a road weary traveler . The rooms are well appointed and kept. The beds are extremely comfortable. If you are looking for information on the area, Bill & Heather are people who will know.

This place is so great! It's right off the main road and very easy to walk to town for a stroll or a beer. The house has a beautiful front porch and amazing rooms. We stayed in the mirror lake suite, it was a splurge but 100% worth it! Our hosts were so kind and welcoming, I would definitely stay here again!

Spent a delightful two nights at the Bronze antler. It is a quintessential B&B. The old house was gutted and turned into a B&B in 2001 yet it looks so fresh you think it was done yesterday. The entire place is beautifully furnished. The rooms are average size with new full bathrooms. Room and bath is furnished with luxury linens. The bed had a deluxe pillow top mattress. Our "Chief Joseph" room has a wonderful mountain view. The hosts Heather and Bill are very friendly and helpful. They provide a very nice full cooked breakfast. I will definitively stay here again on my next visit.
