Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Ate here tonight on our way through Hood River. The food and service was horrible. Our server was very unfriendly and acted inconvenienced the entire time. The rice was dry and flavorless, the Beans were liquid and tasted like they were from a can. My tamale was also dry and flavorless. Chips were warm and salsa was spicy- the only semi-enjoyable part of our meal. We left disappointed.

We came in for a small lunch. At 10.00 for a burrito, enchilada, rice and refried beans I was expecting downsized portions. It was way more than I could it and crazy delicious. I love this place. Top it off with a 22oz. Negra Modelo and I was in heaven.

Love the food. Beans and rice cooked great. Pastor taco sin tortilla was perfecto!!! Chicken enchiladas was very good, the chicken was moist. The steak fajitas were great. Service was outstanding and very accommodating with special orders. Try a Margarita!

The best thing about this place was the Andes mint I got afterwards and the cleanliness of the bathroom. I wanted a lot of cheese, I didn't get it and they weren't around to ask for more. The rice wasn't cooked, was actually crunchy in parts. The beans were blah. But the worst part was the chicken inside the enchiladas. Open up your enchilada or burrito, and taste the chicken plain. Taste that? It's like it was separated out of a can of chicken noodle soup. What the crap? And for $10-16 per person? No thanks.

Average in an area that has some really good options...But also some below average options..Right in the middle. Prices are very fair

Fake Mexican. Fake queso. Terrible spices. Runny ground beef. Drowned tortillas. Runny salsa. The glass of water was good...

Lots of seating and hand made corn tortillas weekends. Excellent food. Amazing ribeye and Acapulco burrito (scallops shrimp), fajitas of yum. And horchata!

Strip mall location, so not much to look at, outside. Fairly new, well decorated, but simple. Good food. A little pricey, but we got the specials, which were very reasonable at $7.25 (normally $10.50). Chips were excellent with good salsa if you like it fresh. Overall a good experience; recommended.

The food was excellent and they made it FAST! We only had to wait for our order about 5 minutes! The server was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was $5 margarita night (fridays) and they charged $6.50 for mine. In very fine print it stated only one flavor (prickly pear) and I ordered Huckleberry. I just wish they had told me. I probably would have still ordered the Huckleberry anyway, just wished I had known. Then when I pointed it out, the other staff didn't even know and the waitress pointed out the fine print. Could have been five stars...the Huckleberry was delish!

I don't care for their chips and salsa, margaritas are average, but love, love, love those chili rellenos!
