Owner is nice and the food is good, but the customer service sucked. Made my boyfriend want to walk out the door, the instant one of the workers gave him tons of attitude.

Good bagels? Check. Creative bagels? Check. Craziest bagel sandwich list known to mankind? Check. Upon walking in you get two of the best smells in the world--coffee and bagels. I wouldn't be bummed to live a life of solely those two things. The sandwiches tend to rock the $7.25 range, and they're loaded. You also get chips with your meal. Service is quick. There are lots of seats. Get some [and then go get coffee across the street at Ground].

We love HR Bagel! They are the best for a quick breakfast while heading to the mountain for a day of snowboarding. Awesome coffee, great service. One time I ordered a breakfast bagel and the server was never happy with the way the egg kept coming out. After the third one she nailed it and I was stoked she didn't serve something she wouldn't gag down herself. For the lunchtime menu, there's soups and awesome Bagel Dogs. My personal favorite is the BLT on a sourdough bagel. They take your condiment garnishment serious and provide a very stimulating meal. I've been there multiple times and plan on visiting many more!

The Bagels are pretty good. The reason this place gets a one star review is PURELY for the condescending smart ass attitudes of the employees. I was in there on Friday morning 8/28/2015 and the young "dude" who helped us couldn't have been more of a condescending prick. If it were my shop he would be fired on the spot. I even called him on his attitude and he proceeded to give my wife attitude when she wanted her bagel sandwich cut in half. I've been in other times and seen the staff get very impatient with customers who were having a tough time making sense of the chalkboard menu. I don't need the staff to kiss my ass like at Jiffy Lube for example but un-provoked customer abuse should not be tolerated. It struck me that it was the end of the summer and this kid would be out of there in a week or so anyway but still in the name of human respect he needs to be taken down a few pegs. It is the folks who are the customers who will keep you in business. It is pretty simple, serve them delicious bagels and juices and don't piss them off. Honestly as much as I like your bagels and juices I'm pretty turned off by my consistent recent experiences and I've gone from recommending your store to telling people to avoid it. Hood River is a unique and seasonal place that has a lot of high quality eating options. If your customer service sucks someone who knows how to treat a customer will swoop in, open another bagel and juice shop to compete you right our of business.

Incredible food. Very nice people. Very kid family. Egg sandwiches with pepper bacon are seriously good. Also, can't wait to go back for the tomato, basil and cream cheese sandwich!!!

The Vast improvement made sense the change of ownership is astounding to me from the quality of the bagels to the fact that it's not stocked with uninterested girls on there iPhones burning my bagel twice before its done right I'm giving five stars for sure, plus the new outside seeking area is spot on keep it up!

The menu was good but the bagels aren't. They don't appear to be real boiled bagel. They are bready and thin.

There are new owners now and the bagels are back to the big yummy bagels I remember from years ago! I was however disappointed that they didn't have the pesto cream cheese, they actually cut the cream cheese choices in half. That would be why they aren't getting 5 stars. I will be going back to try some juices. I went at 1030 and the bagel flavors were limited to from what it had been in the past. So I will go earlier next time to see if I was just to late for the goods.

I've only been in here early in the morning when nobody is around so the service is always really prompt, friendly and thorough. Their bagel and lox are really good, as well as their Thanksgiving Bagel sandwich thing. Parking is a bit of a mess, but at least they have parking, as opposed to most of downtown Hood River.

This place just changed hands, and the new owner is taking big steps to pump some new life into this classic Hood River shop. Very tasty bagels; crunchy, chewey, good selection. He's also pressing great local Stoked Coffee espresso, and best of all, fresh squeezed juices! The talent behind Juice Bros juice cart now available inside!!

Atmosphere lacks character - not a place to linger over your bagel sandwich, which was pretty good. The everything bagels were a bit small but soft and decently cooked, and full of seeds. Good option for breakfast to go.

The venue is a little industrial and not very cozy. But the food is really good. A nice find in a small tourist town and worth a visit if you take it to go to a comfy coffee house.

Bagels are pretty good for west coast bagels. Service is a bit desultory.
