About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Surprise how low rating this place is on Yelp. Not a Taco bell fan but this place hasn't done anything wrong with my orders. Services are nice sometimes. Don't mess with them around 3:30-4:00pm, CHS students will do it. The kids don't know how to order and talk shits about the food. They have good cinnamon balls. However, if you don't like too sweet stuff, don't try it.

Why every time I come to the drive through it takes a fuckin hour to get through. WTF get some better fuckin service. It's 10 pm

Aesthetically, this Taco Bell is as nice as it gets, but I cannot recommend that anyone go here. First of all, the service is slow; it took me 8 minutes to get a simple order, and it was not even a busy hour. This Taco Bell hounds its customers to give them reviews! The manager is constantly going up to customers to ask them to fill out the survey and give them a great review. Ten minutes after refusing to review their store for a free soft drink, the manager came over and asked me to leave for being "profane". I had used no profanity, and the whole incident made me feel rather embarrassed. I intend to never return here, and I will advise anyone else to avoid this Taco Bell.

Yeah you can get fast, high carb, high fat food for about as cheap as it comes. Agree high turnover on employees, consequently be sure to watch for order errors. Sometimes (okay often) a bit unkept. But what sets this TB apart- next to high school, so be prepared to hear frequent, unchecked (by management- I fire a courteous rebuke at the smart mouths now and then) F-bombs flying at unfiltered frequencies and volume.

Fast food. Nice low expectations. Totally fine. No issue with people, no errors, no problem. I would go back easily for my fats food fix next year.

WORST Taco Bell location I have ever handed money to. We sat in line in the drive through for 21 minutes from the time we got into the line to the time we paid ( I stopped my timer then thinking we would get our food right then...nope). Once we did get our food we pulled over in the parking lot concerned about our order due to the time it took to make it, and we were right to be concerned. It was all lukewarm at best (mostly cold) and none of our "special" orders were right (2 burritos no red sauce). We ordered nothing other "special" and all in simple combos for 3 people and wasted almost 30 minutes for "fast food". I went in to talk with someone but found the lobby as full of angry customers as my car. I walked out and decided THIS LOCATION WILL NEVER GET MY MONEY AGAIN. BEWARE before giving this location any of your hard earned money!

Went here for breakfast the other morning and was enjoying my food when i found short black hairs in it... My hair is blonde so it wasnt from me. ended up throwing all the food out cuz it made me disgusted

I don't think I have ever spent the time and energy writing a review for any place as I have for Taco Bell hiding under a sock puppet named Chef Lorena Garcia. Corporate food like this designed to be a particular thing and component-ized so a totally unmotivated employee can churn them out with reasonably consistent results fascinates me. The only thing that I haven't done is look for reviews and reactions of high & drunk folks at the drive thru at 2 a.m. I'm pretty sure I would get variations of "huh?". The politics behind it is TB is trying to play "me too" to Chipotle coming up with...jeez, what do you call it..? Artisanal fast food? Taco Bell realized that they had the 12-24 year old demographic locked up with Doritos Tacos and other hideous munchie foods. But Chipotle and everyone in the gringo quick vittles game is getting into upscale offerings. The thinking, I'm sure, is capturing all of the people who used to eat at TGIFriday's, and now that they are out of work and living in their SUVs, still want something "special" and these "upscale" offerings are a night out. Taco Bell, is late in the game though. Somewhere in their Laguna Hills headquarters someone said: let's get a real cook to er, cook something up. And it's OK, she is pleasant looking, has a funny accent and knows her way around a kitchen. She's late in the game, too, though, if you look the grocery section of any market, with all of the Food Network Stars hawking "quick & convenient food offerings". To the bowls then. The steak is pretty strange fruit, but the chicken gets my vote. You can argue that it is even sort of healthy as fast food goes; 550 calories, 200 from fat, 15 grams of fiber among other things. And one plate will fill me up and I am anything but a petite eater. The second time I was in, I got a chance to see one of these being built. No guacamole caulking gun but an amazing amount of sealed little baggies get sniped 'n' slopped. When they are in a hurry, or, in this case, squeezing one last portion out of the component receptacle, or whatever they call it, the cantina bowls look like they got spun out of fast moving car to your table. My first one, that in the photo I have added here, the customer service fanatic (they have some such strange title) seemed to give it a little extra time and it looked and tasted better, for the effort. That one was very pleasant: each component has been carefully considered for appearance, authentic characteristics, interesting mouth feel and an attractive product [insert eye roll here], but you know what I mean: they are trying. It has romaine, seasoned roasted corn, black beans, white cilantro rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, "grilled" sliced meat and a lime creamy cilantro/Cesar dressing. Now, they brag up the price, which is less than Chipotle's though everyone denies that's who they are gunning for. If you get it in their combo you choose a side dish; I got chips with a guacamole side and a medium drink. This ends up setting you back about seven clams. Yeah. Putting together one of these, both times: the good one and on the second trip, the funky one, added I'd estimate, six minutes to the service time. You milage may vary. For perverse fun, order yours at 12:01 on a Friday afternoon and watch the world go crazy around you as your meal gums up the entire Taco Bell Food Emitting Machine. Yes, you Can buy a full bag of other strange mexi-texi-LDS inspired regular bits at the Bell from the old menu and probably pay that seven bucks for your bag-o-poo. And that big bag for cheap has always sold well to the original demographic. I'm not sure the Gourmet Set is ready to dine at the Bell [insert Taco Bell bong noise here] So. Will I eat it again? Only if I forget my lunch. And I rarely forget my lunch. Go get one, giggle at it--it's not that bad--but stick someone else for the bill.

It's Taco Bell, cheap "mexican" fast food. Pretty much know what you're getting going in the door.
(2)Dan R.
i enjoy eating taco bell !!!a fat guy has to eat!! but over the last couple years this location has lacked good workers when your ordering they are trying to rush you cause i guess they have something better to do half the time when i go here the tables are dirty and i cant even tell you how gross it was when one of the last times i ate here and ants decided to invade my burrito that i un wrapped to cool it off
(2)Matthew A.
If I'm ordering drive-thru, why must I go in almost every single time to correct a mistake? Or...wait to order AT the drive-thru menu to talk to someone even if there's no cars in front of me? This TB is run as if a first grader owns it.
(1)Opher A.
95% of the time they will get your order wrong, so never forget to check every item before leaving . The also just throw things together and you can barely recognize what the item is you actually ordered. I go back every couple of months hoping to see some improvement, and it never seems to happen.
(1)Robert F.
Went here 2 Saturdays ago w my daughter. We waited for about 5 minutes so we could order but we were just completely ignored (people who worked there saw us but didn't acknowledge our presence) so we just turned around and left. Horrible service and won't be going back obviously.
(1)Chris H.
Food quality is a bit better then other locations but service could be approved. Management needs to deal with these kids that come in and hog all the tables. The Taco Bell is located right next to a high school, so you can expect the kids to come over and stay all evening.
