Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

A delicious and affordable alternative to your regular fast food, Qdoba has been a great lunch spot for me. They offer a lot of traditional fare, and their meat options are grilled. I love their chicken soft tacos, and just one leaves me satisfied. Their Chips and Warm 3-Cheese Queso is a spicy snack for a pick-me-up. I've even tried their Vegetarian Taco Salad and been very pleased. They have about five different salsa choices too! I'll even have just a bowl of their tortilla soup, and a diet Coke with fresh lime wedges. Yum!

Love it! I get the Vegetarian burrito and the Vege gumbo. Both are excellent especially with some cholula sauce.

Since I work in the mall I spend a bit too much time at Qdoba. But when your options are really limited, I tend to make it to Qdoba once a week. Okay, I will be totally honest... the food isn't fantastic. But it's good. And it's fast. And this place has some of the nicest people working here. A hello every time you walk in and a smiling face. It's a nice break in the day. And I'm a big fan of the chips and queso. Especially when it's in nacho form. So I will continue to go back and enjoy the fantastic service and good, fast food.

3 words...Chips and Queso...thats a wrap! The chips have a lil' tang to them & with the queso, you can't go wrong! This place is similiar to Chipotle, but if they were side by side...I'm headed to Qdoba. Besides the chips and queso, I had the naked burrito with steak and it was delicious. If you want to go up a notch from taco bell...head to Qdoba!

I've been quite a few times for lunch. The burritos are humongous and pretty tasty. I admit though, I haven't been back since they stopped making the mango chicken salad... that's what I really loved there.

I use to come here all the time working in Streets of Tanasbourne. Chips and Queso is delicious! Beef Quesadilla is also yuuuummy! I've been to Chipotle once and I absolutely hated it. Better yet, Qdoba has a frequent customer card (at least they did 2 years ago) which helps earn you free chips and queso or entrees.

My Chipotle replacement. Their chicken was better than Chipotle's, but the shredded pork is pretty bland. It's just cooked pork - no flavor. The Pick 2 Combo for $5.99 is great for lunch. I like that they have more menu items than Chipotle, they use real sour cream - not that watery stuff. They also charge less for guac.

Chipotle is across the street and much better

Good food. This place is across the street from chipotle and I am starting to like this better. Shorter lines and the food is equal or at times better.

Bathroom is broken!! I got the 3 queso shredded beef nachos which was flavorful. My partner ordered the chicken smothered burrito. It was to spicy for her. I thought it tasted bland. Also please give us more chips. They turn soggy quickly. All in all better than Chipotle and better customer service.

My kids like going to Qdoba. I know that sounds like some sort of excuse (like saying that I'm listening to One Direction because my daughter likes them) but in this case, it's really true. They like that soda machine that has like 10 million flavors. If we were in the area, I didn't really mind heading over to Qdoba for a quick meal and always get the same thing . . . nachos. This is one of those places that you pretty much know what you're getting which is Mexicanish food and an inexpensive price. Well, it was. The last time we came, I noticed that it seemed more expensive than usual, more than I like to pay for fast food. I was curious and looked it up and I guess they raised their prices in order to not charge more for extra items. This is a great deal for people that like to pile on the toppings, but I am not one of those. In fact (and be warned that you might hate me for this) I hate guacamole. I have avocados, always have, always will. I can't stand them anywhere near my food. Now I pay as though I was actually adding avocado to my nachos; in other words, ruining them. Eh, that doesn't have me wanting to rush back anytime soon.

This is my favorite burrito chain. The barbacoa, chicken, and pork burritos are great. They now have a mango salsa and mango sauce that are very good. On wednesdays, they have a deal for intel employees. They now offer brown rice and whole grain tortillas.

I've been eating at this restaurant for so long with no problems. Worked in the mall for 5 years. It's the only quick place walking distance so it's great. I bought lunch here set it in my store and conducted a business conversation at a table back at the restaurant. I was rudely kicked out by the manager telling me this wasn't a conference hall and that I wasn't welcome here. Guess I'll take my $40 plus a week on qdoba and bring it to chipotle. The manager is a rude guy but his staff is very sweet. He doesn't realize what a horrible vibe he brings daily! I've had other people complain to me about him but I never had a problem until now. Will not support this location! Also I've sat in here for hours and had free water and waited for a ride but for some reason my 15 minute conversation was not allowed that day. Chipotle tastes better anyways!

This is my goto place after Chipotle for a quick mexican fix. I love the mexican gumbo dish at Qdoba which is a change from the usual burritos and burrito bowls at Chipotle. The gumbo is more like a tortilla soup yet has all the ingredients of the burrito. The grilled chicken is a little better at Chipotle though in terms of flavor. Also, i find that the Chipotle right across the street is pretty crowded during the dinner hours and if you are in a hurry you can grab something quickly here.

My first time at a Qdoba. Plus, big portions. pretty delicious, friendly staff. Minus, a bit confusing menu, $20 for lunch for two for fast food mexican. Had a chicken burrito. Pretty good, my only real complaint with it was that they steam the tortilla shells, while it keeps it from bursting all over the place, it does make it sticky. Also had the nachos. Big and tasty and messy.

Granted, there are so many burrito bar-themed chains nowadays about town, that the head fairly spins, trying to recount them all: Chipotle, taco del mar, Moe's, Baja Fresh, etc etch... Qdoba is lucky to eke out a spot in an already crowded niche. What tips the scales in Qdoba's favor to me are 3 main things: 1.) 1000-in-one soft drink/ice dispenser, w/free refills! Oh boy! Never a challenge to stay refreshed! 2.) Unfailingly attentive and polite staff. As you go right down their Subway-style assembly line, they let every person know they are being attended to, every time I've gone there, even during very busy lunch rushes. Nice to see teens and young adults doing something OTHER than messing with their gull-darn cell phones for more than 5 seconds, capisce? Eye contact can be elusive w/that entire generation, even in customer service settings, am I wrong or hallucinating here? But not at the QD! 3.) Mexican Gumbo: Yup, it's burrito soup w/o the guilt-inducing wrap, w/all the fixings just how you like 'em, with some excellent grilled meats, pico de gallo, and zesty salsa. I've tried the gumbo several different ways, and have liked 'em all. Two things could elevate this place to 5 star status: Stay open later (as in, at least till midnight), and convert to drive through---or better yet, offer delivery for at least a short radius. You have a brand new hospital right next door open 24/7 w/a cafeteria open only limited hours, hello....
(4)Cassandra C.
Like Qdoba! Better than Chipotle. Give them your email, get free chips! Do the choose 2.
(3)Shaun C.
I just have to say this. The menu here (the actual menu up on the wall that you are supposed to use to order food with AND their on-line menu) is the most confusing worthless menu design ever. You can't simply walk up and pick something. Then, when you do order, the ordering experience is exactly the same as Chipotle. Even if you play along and ask for one of the "signature flavors", they still walk you through the same 20 questions to make it. You're better off ignoring the menu and looking down at the ingredients they use and just making it up with them as they go down the line. Why is this annoying to me? Because someone tried really hard to impress people with that menu and instead they produced a slightly more confusing version of Chipotle. Anywhoo....the food's great you should eat there.
(4)Sam H.
I have been to Qdoba before, never this location and I was thoroughly impressed. They welcomed me warmly an immediately it felt like a family restaurant. The only thing I would change is the menu, it's not the easiest thing to understand, that is where they could take a play from Chipotle. They include chips with each order which is better than Chipotle, plus while I was eating one of the associates brought me a food sample of the new queso dip nice touch. I don't know if I caught them on a great day but this location is the best one I have ever been to, very good customer service.
(5)Matthew W.
For fast food, Qdoba does a decent job on their burritos and quesadillas. This location is a challenge parking-wise, but the service is friendly and attentive. The choices - tortilla, beans, meat, condiments - can be a little intimidating, so you might want to study up before arriving.

This restaurant is in the same shopping center as the store where I work so I love that I can easily walk to it during my breaks. The people I encounter here are always very friendly and very quick. I really enjoy chatting with them and the food is always very good. I usually get the chicken burrito and it always hits the spot!
(4)Sean K.
I agree with Shaun C. The menu is quite confusing and all you need to know is Pick 2 combo. For the price you pay, you get pretty good amount of food. Other than that, except for some special dishes, everything is very similar to Chipotle. Food is eh at best. I would rather have chipotle. The burrito I had was cold and fajita wasn't good as chipotle's. It might be a tad cheaper than chipotle but I would go to chipotle and have a better burrito for my taste buds' sake.
(2)B B.
Food was as OK as places like Chipotle and such go, but customer service made up for it. After buying a gift card from some high school fundraiser, I was completely confused as to what I was supposed to do to redeem the meals. All the kid told me was "you get 4 meals for the price of 2." OK, simple enough right? Nope. Their website asks you about 5million questions when registering and apparently I clicked everything the opposite that I was supposed to. Fortunately, despite my inability to understand plain English (I blame it on the holidays), they comped my meal and kindly explained I had registered the card incorrectly. Moral of story, read directions carefully.

I've tried Qdoba a lot of times now mainly because I keep getting coupons that make the place ridiculously cheap for a quick carryout and at the same time, keep racking up points on my Qdoba Rewards card that give me free burritos. I keep thinking it will get better, that I'll try something new next time. But it never does- it continues to have a bland, unsatisfying/unfilling taste that falls short of its competitor Chipotle across the street. The first time I went here, I literally had two of the veggie burritos because I simply didn't get full nor was I happy with the taste. I later decided to never do this again- each burrito had 900 calories. The second to the ridiculously high "numberth" time I went here, it was the same story. I got the veggie burrito, which I never came to like. There are two types of burritos- one with grilled veggies and one with guacamole (yeah, no burrito with both without paying extra, kind of disappointing). This time though, I decided to pay the extra and get both the veggies and the guacamole (really taking this burrito to the next level). The result? Nothing to really savor or remember. Really, there's no point eating here. The 900 calorie burrito is a waste of money as well as 900 calories, which is equivalent to at a little more than two bean burritos at Taco Bell or one burrito at Chipotle. No wonder Chipotle is always so much more packed than Qdoba whenever I stop by.
(2)Wolf L.
Yet another bland, flavorless, fastfood burrito. Maybe just a little bit more taste than Chipotle, but not by much. If you want predictable, simple and eatable, this is the place. If you want something spicy or palette-pleasing, you'll need to look elsewhere.
(2)Allison B.
I made the mistake of ordering their pick 2 combo yesterday while rushing back to the office. A teeny little burrito bowl and cup of soup. I didn't want a naked burrito so I asked if they would make me a small burrito instead. Nope, they don't do those anymore. Also, my cup of soup was tiny! I asked if they had a bigger soup portion I could purchase. Nope on that as well. The flavors were good. But I was quite hungry yesterday and these little portions still had me ordering crackers from the office vending machine yesterday afternoon. I just kinda feel ripped off paying $8 for my small meal. Next time, if I I back I'm ordering a full burrito and see if I get my money's worth.
(3)Wingman X.
Burritos were bland and the service was mediocre. Taco Del Mar is cheaper and better. Chipotle has more flavor. But neither can complete with King Torta in North Plains. I've tried it twice and had the same experience so a third time won't be necessary.
(2)Brian A.
Quboda isn't too bad. I like their chicken burritos, but to me there's something about their queso dip with chips. I always order the chips and queso. Winnahs! As for the rest of their food, I mean ain't like it's homemade, but it's not too bad for a chain. At least you will always leave full. They're usually pretty friendly as well. Prices are on par with other burrito chains Chipotle and Baja Fresh. With this specific location, you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding a parking place.
(4)Sasha S.
No. I'm sorry but I am a foodie and anything that involves overly-salted and spiced white rice, mushy sautéed vegetables, a small spoon of sour cream... and a giant white wrap all equalling into a massive burrito for 1,200 calories? I can't condone it, I can't. I'd much rather eat a 3-course meal for the same caloric content. Plus the staff was really rude to me when I went, resulting in an overly rice-spiced burrito with not enough sour cream and way too unhealthy. No fun.
(1)Gin U.
Qdoba is great. The staff have always been great, fast, and efficient. Chicken burritos are great, but if calories scare you, try a bowl. It's not fine dining, and you're not going to find authentic Mexican food. You will a grubbing burrito, chips and queso so good they make you wanna slap your momma. Fast, fairly inexpensive and the food does not disappoint.
(4)Savannah D.
I absolutely adore their breakfast burritos. Their 'spicy sausage' is awesome and their red sauce accompanies them well. Lunch fare is mediocre. Steak is the best choice for burritos or tacos. Now the reason for 2 stars. The service. I went in one morning, excited for my breakfast burrito as it's only a now-and-then treat. I causally asked why their 'spicy sausage' isn't labeled chorizo. The man preparing my food literally stopped what he was doing, put his serving utensils down and with a hateful glare responded 'Because that's what MY people call it.' I think I went into shock. Jaw-to-floor kind of moment. I've never been spoken to or even looked at the way this dude did. I still can't believe that happened and it's been over a year since that fateful day. I haven't been back and it makes me sad because I can sometimes hear their breakfast burritos calling me when I drive by in the morning.
(2)Duane C.
Hmmm...not much to say. Close to work, fast service, food doesn't totally suck. It's like a Chipotle, but not really. Make sense?
(3)Paula W.
I've seen a few of these around town but last night was my first chance to actually try them out. My date and I were the only ones there but it was about 8:30 so kind of late for most of the diners I guess. I felt the place was a cross between Baja Fresh and Subway with the way you order and then they ask you what fresh ingredients you want on your burrito (which was HUGE by the way). The prices were reasonable and they even had cold bottles of Corona to accompany the meal. Once seated the first thing I noticed was that all the ingredients were still kind of in separate little pockets. One bite might be all beans while the next was rice with a tiny bit of pico de gallo. Plus the burrito really wasn't that hot temperature wise. I think the whole thing might have been better if they had spread the ingredients out a bit and somehow warmed everything up before adding the cold ingredients like the pico and corn chile salsa. As one Yeeper stated, "if you want a step up from Taco Bell...head to Qdoba!" I'll give this place another try as I discovered there is one not far from work, but over all I would probably pick Baja Fresh over these guys.
