I love this place. We came in once when we first moved here and enjoyed it. To be honest we didn't come back right away, so much to see and it's hard to go back to the same spot when you have so much new stuff around you. Eventually, we did make our way back and popped in for a beer on a weekend. The owner chatted us up while he finished up opening the place (we got there as soon as they opened) and told us his philosophy about just making sure people are getting good beers and enjoying the best he can give us. We've made it back a few times since and I really believe what he said to us. Everyone who works there is friendly and has a smile on their face. We've met a few people at the bar and are never disappointed with the beer selection. You're welcome to bring in your own food which is awesome since it can be hard to find vegan/healthy/tasty pub food sometimes. This way you just bring what you like! Both my husband and I really like this place and feel that it is becoming our regular pub stop. It's on our way to the library and across the street from our grocery store. Life is good.

Best location in west Portland for craft beer. This tap house takes pride in showcasing suds of all variety. The owners are passionate about delivery a unique experience and are dedicated to showcasing the Northwest's finest ales and ciders. What makes the Orenco Tap House stand out is the people both in front of and behind the bar. Cheers!

Great spot in Orenco Station -- lots of options and a great vibe. Board games, too!

I'm so fortunate to have found this place! When it comes to beer, this is definitely the best I've found in Hillsboro. There was around 20 taps and the options were diverse! I easily found several beers I wanted to try. In addition to the great beer selection, the owners were incredible! They actually seem to enjoy chatting with their patrons. I'm not used to getting chatted up by friendly people at a beer bar - It was refreshing. It almost reminded me of a modern day episode of Cheers with a better beer selection. I'm really looking forward to going back! Side note - check in on untapped and see your picture across the top of the tap list TV. I surprisingly got a lot of enjoyment from seeing my picture go across the tv over and over again. Ha!

Love the selection, ambiance, friendly staff, and that it's walking distance to my house. They allow dogs so it can sometimes be a little "busy" but having a dog we like to walk in the area, I appreciate a place that's dog friendly along the way. I also like that their menu board shows how full each keg is so you don't miss anything!

Friendly owner, lots of option to choose from but they are not open until late in the afternoon.

This is great for the location. I will be much more enthusiastic when they , or if they decide to do 10 oz pours instead of only full glasses. Sometimes you just want a taste and to taste a few different beers than a full glass only. Ill keep going to Bailey's until this changes. Great place for the area though!

  • Matt O.

Most amazing prices, customer service and atmosphere I have seen yet! Parking is a bit limited but doable. Having 20 amazing craft beers ready to try is great. Tammy and Dirk are the best.

I dig the variety of micros here...definitely an anomaly in restaurants. Byo...food.

I just moved to Hillsboro from The Pearl District and was really worried about missing out on the beer culture I had been spoiled with downtown. I had grown accustomed to places like Bailey's Tap Room and thought for sure nowhere in suburbia would come close. I was wrong! Not only does it rival downtown tap rooms, I would go so far as to say it is (gasp!) even better. It has everything: ambience/style, friendly and helpful staff, amazing selection, mobile taps menu, location, outdoor seating. AND you can bring your pup! All this without the over-crowded "did that guy just grab my ass?" moments, 20 minute desperate parking spot hunts, or prison style shankings over a table, you find downtown. Needless to say, I love this place!

Orenco Taphouse is a great addition to the Orenco neighborhood, and I'd definitely recommend this location to friends. It's a simple location with lots of seating, and they've always got a really good tap list. Easy to grab a seat and enjoy some beer with friends. I like the indoor and outdoor seating, and we really appreciate that our pups can join us in either space. Staff, including the owner, are very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable for beer by the glass or growler. Bring your own food, or stop by on a warm day when they're co-hosting a food truck outside. My only gripe was that sometimes there would be people at the outdoor seating smoking ... not pleasant when you walk by or want to sit at a table nearby. However, they made a great decision to restrict smoking. Thank you!!

Excellent taphouse right in the hillsboro area with 20 rotating taps that are all good choices. Godo amount of seating and they also have a amazing collection of bottles. The owner told us that the bottles are stocked by one of their employee who has a great knowledge on unique beer collection from all over the world and he was thinking of putting up some description so people will get a better idea. I tried the imperiale Ninkasi from their tap collection and the Gulden Draak ale from the bottle collection. The bottle was priced at $5 and is cheaper than other stores where I have seen it for $7 or $8. The tap was amazing and so was the bottle. I am coming to try one of their other unique bottles pretty soon. They don't serve any food but they have a menu for pannier deli which is two stores away and also there are some food carts and New Seasons nearby. An excellent tap house in the Hillsboro area.

Great place to meet friends and hang out. Friendly service and great space. Can have food delivered.

Not a place to get tater tots and PBR. Was in on a Monday afternoon and the place filled quickly. Mostly older (40s-50s) gentlemen in sizable groups. Had about 14 taps with a great range of beers from lager to farmhouse. Pretty good bottle selection as well from the likes of Gigantic and other local Portland breweries. Note that this place does not serve food but I did see some chips and/or popcorn appear from behind the bar a few times. They allow you to bring in food from outside so that's a plus as there is New Seasons right around the corner, if you're feeling peckish. Worth a drive out to Orenco Station if you really enjoy your beers.

This is a great little taphouse. There is a beautiful selection of beers, and you can get them to go in a growler if you fall in love (we did, with two kinds on the first night). The environment was also nice, but the one drawback was the service. The guy working the night we went was kind of a beer snob. His attitude toward us "regular beer drinkers" made it clear that we might be a little out of place, apparently asking questions makes you look like a rookie beer connoisseur and they treat you accordingly. Oddly enough, the beer and environment were so dang good that we still recommended them to our friends and will be going back. Maybe we caught the bartender on an "off" night, who knows, but it's worth going back and finding out!

I love this taphouse. I love the employees. I love my hometown and short shorts. It's a win-win. Cheers bitches!

  • Roxanne B.

They have a huge selection of beer here, and games to play while drinking. The biggest downside is that there isn't any food (aside from popcorn and nuts or something like that).

  • Luis M.

wow. Its Wednesday at around 7:15 and there's a pretty good vibe here. Not packed, but plenty of young people. Even in both sides of the outside seating. Bonus points because gulden draak, possibly my favorite ale beer of all time. Even though I'm alone all the time, i like to enjoy my beer whilst watching a blazers game......... cheers!

  • Jeanne Z.

I am incredibly lucky to live so lucky to this place! It is a great hangout with a good amount of televisions, the owners are really nice and friendly! I also like how they have a fun selection of games like Battleship, and Yahtzee, etc. And, yeah, the story is true, there isn't really food served here (they have some chex mix-like stuff that they serve that is pretty good; but, you can bring what ever food you want from outside in to eat with the yummy beer. Personally, I prefer Salam the Lebanese/Persian place down the road, but there is food carts and New Seasons as other options too!) Last time I was in, there was a little puppy that someone brought in, that was a character! This place is really amazing, with a magnificient tap list! And, they have the board, like Bailey's Taproom has, where it electronically shows how much beer is left in the keg, it is pretty cool.

Great lil Tap house in the Orenco Neighborhood. Great variety of beer to choose from on a big screen that is very easy to see. Bartender was super nice, and the place is really chill. I love that you can bring your pooch inside, someone had a cute pointer puppy that night. Great place to chill, drink some good beer and watch the game. Sometimes they have a food truck outside too. We will def be back for more:)

I happened to be out by Tanasborne on Saturday night, so my friend and I headed up Cornell Rd to Orenco Station to check out the new taphouse I'd heard about. It was a pain in the butt to park near (ironic, in the suburbs) but once inside I liked the place a lot. Big and airy yet cozy. Great taplist, lots of quirky beers and a couple of ciders. They're using the same taplist software + massive TV system they have at Bailey's. Only one bar maid was working, so she was hustling a bit to keep up, but was super friendly and nice. No food from what I could tell, and sadly there's not much else nearby, so hopefully you ate before you got here. I don't get out to Orenco very often, but if I'm back in the 'hood I'll definitely stop by. This is easily the best beer bar I've seen in Washington County.

BIER! BEER! BIEEEERRRRR. Hello, my name is Jesse and I like beer. And finally the 'burbs got themselves a proper taphouse a la Bailey's in downtown. There's a ton of beer on tap with a helpful digital board with beer description, ABV, IBU and how much of it they have left. This is also available on the website too for your at home perusal. The bartender is super nice and works his butt off when it's busy. They have some TVs that are typically on whatever important game of the night (or games) so you won't miss a score/goal/touchdown/fumble/homerun, etc. It's a large space with plenty of tables to sit. They even have board games for fun (HELLLOOOO Connect 4). I don't think they have anything beyond a nut mix for food so you can encouraged to bring in your own food to snack on. Way to catch up Hillsboro!

  • Megan C.

One of the best places to go in the area for an after work drink. They have a good selection of taps and rotate frequently. I have yet to have a hard cider here that I didn't like. The owners are nice and personable and always take the time to stop and chat with you when you come in.

  • Emily C.

Nice beer selection, very sweet bartender. Parking stinks and the interior is very boring.

I know this is my 3rd review of this place since it opened, but I can't say enough about it, and I need you to know this! I've gotten to know the owners, Dirk and Tammy, during my many visits. They remember you, strike up conversation with everybody, and are genuinely awesome people. Every time husband and I go, we feel like we're walking into the bar from "Cheers". The beers sell themselves; you can't go wrong with a great selection of craft beers, and I've found so many new favorites through this place. I didn't even know I liked porters before Dirk had me try some, and now it's one of my favorite types of beers. A number of restaurants have moved into some of the spaces within the same building, so there are more choices for noms to bring in and eat while you sip your beers (because you can bring in any food you want). The way this business is run and the people behind it make me proud that it's in my community!

Someone stole my idea...Take the Bailey's Taproom concept and just put it in the burbs! Insta-money! Orenco Taphouse is an important step in de-chaining Hillsboro and expanding the surbanite horizon with 20 rotating taps of craft beer. OT has a live menu of their beers that provide the color, IBU, ABV, and keg level of the beer. Although this was invented like 6 years ago, Orenco Taphouse is 1st in HIllsboro with this beer tech...so like NBC reruns of Friends, "It's new to us!" There are lots of TVs to watch sportsball, but no sound for any game. You can bring your own food. I suggest going to Ochoa's for the best avocado salsa, tacos, and chips to enjoy with your craft beer. Combine the best of HIllsboro (Mexican food) with our first beer bar for a Hillsborosplosion (TM)! I would like to see them add a decent bottle selection. Beers run about $5 for a 16oz glass. However, beers with higher ABV's (8% and up) get you a 10 oz pour. Boo! Just Boo! High ABV beers are being discriminated against! I cannot stand for this inequality. Equal rights for all beers! OK, we finally got a good beer bar in the burbs, but the parking is all f*cked up like city parking. What in God's name of over-thinking-out-of-the-box-when-designing-a-neighborhood were they thinking? I have to circle a block of apartments and parallel park? Orenco Taphouse is the best place in Hillsboro for your craft brew fix. Oh, and new rule...If you walk into Orenco Taphouse with your intel badge showing, you gotta buy everyone a round!

  • Erin R.

Great variety of beers and a couple weeks ciders on tap. There are picnic tables to sit at outside. They don't serve food, but this doesn't matter because you can bring your own and eat some there. They also allow well behaved dogs.

  • Karl K.

I'm as dog friendly as they come, but this place is out of control. Smells like a barn, puppies running around untethered defacating on the floor. Disgusting. Oh, and the beer is just too expensive.

I've reviewed the Taphouse once before and need to update. My son and I stopped by waiting for his girlfriend to get off work. It was 8:30 or so, but the place was packed we were standing in line looking at the menu board and due to no available seats we decided to try another spot down the road and hit them on the way back. We got out the door and were chased down by Dirk the owner (knowing I have a bad back) stated Tammie the other owner had made room for me at the bar. This is the quintessential example of customer service you can expect at Orenco Taphouse. The owners and any other employee here will go above and beyond in making this place you will "want" to come back to. Additionally they have the best craft beer and cider selections in town. Come on in and don't be intimidated by the choices the tenders here will answer any questions and offer suggestions to whatever experience you are looking for. If you are hungry they don't have a kitchen but offer bar snacks or have available delivery restaurant menus.

I'm happy there is a place supporting quality craft brews in Hillsboro. I was working out in the "burbs" and found Hillsboro to have few local brew places compared to big city Portland, so I was finding myself always taking the train downtown. But now that Orenco Taphouse is in business, you can enjoy some drinks locally or before/after taking the train since it is right nearby the Orenco TriMet stop. They have a nice tap list of rotating beers that the owners select. They are open for suggestions if there is a brew you want to see there too. The owners (husband and wife team) are passionate about their business and are very personable, and know their beers. They will provide you a few samples to help you decide. If in the area, I definitely would come back.

This establishment is perfect for an after work beer, or even just a gathering of friends. Owners and staff are amazing and always do their best to remember your prefered taste in beers.

Beer still, my beering heart! This place is exactly what Orenco needed. Along with this business and several others that have gone in recently, the area may begin to realize the walkable utopia idea upon which it was conceived. The space itself is really inviting. Crazy tall ceiling, nice wood accents, cool gray on the wall, a table full of games to help pass the time while you sip on some suds, and ample seating both inside and out. The flat screen that displays all that's on tap tells you ABV, has a little beer glass that indicates how light or dark the beer is, and live updates the percentage of beer left in the keg. There are plenty of local brews to choose from, and some other domestic brews. They don't serve food, but there is info on each table with menus and information on businesses in the area that will deliver food to you. The bartenders were really friendly and seemed to really enjoy their job. There is definitely a community feel, as we are all there to commune over some sudsy sudsy deliciousness. Can't wait to go back, next time we'll definitely get a tasting board.

Pretty cool little spot. Slightly resembles Bailey's Taproom but in a larger open space. I hadn't been to Orenco area in about a year since I moved away from Hillsboro but glad that they have this addition. As you walk in there's a few flat screens playing sports, indoor and outdoor seating, and a large bar front and center. Their digital board gives you plenty of options on tap (about 20), notes how much is left in the keg, ABV, style of beer, etc. The bartender or beer tender rather is super helpful and friendly. Only lame part is that because it's in a residential area you have to sit indoors after 10pm. They close at midnight on weekends. Taps are consistently rotating and there's a bit of something for everyone. You can get growlers to go. Definitely a welcomed addition to the area.

  • Shauna F.

Always a fantastic, rotating selection of beers here...and the bartenders are awesome. It gets very loud in this little place. If they had a food menu, I would come here much more often.

    (4)
  • Krista G.

Ok West siders quit your bitchin' and your driving we finally have a tap house in our hood! Dirk, the owner poured my first beer here and his passion and enthusiasm are infectious. 20 rotating beers so there really is something for everyone. No food served here which could be a bummer BUT I kinda like the idea of bringing whatever the heck I wanna eat in. I brought chocolate covered salted caramels:) It was obvious by some of the other patrons that they have a system for sure. Plenty of seating inside and a few big benches outside too. The only negative is the noise level, when it gets packed it gets LOUD, but you know what they say about it being too loud and you being too old:) I'll be back for sure because I want more cool places like this opening up out here.

Hot Summer night - needed a beer. This was perfect! Amazing bartender - friendly and knowledgeable. 20 great options to choose from. Music was just right - we could talk over it. Wasn't super busy but very steady - seems to have quite a few regulars. Winner set up here!

My birthday weekend...started on Saturday...with a much needed lunch out. On our way home...we decided to hit up the taphouse on the way home...since it is literally 3 blocks from our place. The boy, is super into beer, so I knew this would be a good place for him in general. We arrived and it was fairly busy...but we were able to grab two seats at the end of the bar. The board, with all the kegs and what is available at the moment is rather brilliant. Behind the bar...was the owner and I believe his wife/fiance/co-owner (something along those lines) and the service was good. They were willing to let me sample a few things (since I am not so into beer and was unsure about the few wines they had) to get a feel for what I liked. We ended up ....well, the boy ended up, getting a growler to go. Today, being my actual birthday, I am thinking we will walk back over there later while my birthday cake cools and grab a drink or two. This place is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, for sure.

I was in Oregon for a wedding. We had time to kill on Saturday morning so we sauntered in at noon. It is clean and sleek inside. That includes the restrooms which is a plus when you have your wife with you. We were happy to spend two-and a half hours sampling beer & wine while conversing with the owner, Dirk Baker, as well as local regulars. I am not a beer aficionado so I requested beers along the IPA line. Dirk set me up and the ball was rolling. Dirk seems very passionate about the craft brew industry so this is a great place to try different varieties. The menu is constantly flipped as kegs run out. The new keg will not be the same beer but rather the same type from a different label. I look forward to our next visit to Hillsboro. We'll definitely return here for some more beer knowledge. By then I expect to see the walls adorned with beer art to cozy up the place.

Super friendly owners, great location (yay in Hillsboro not Portland), cute little place! Loved it...will definitely be back to fill my mini growler!

This place is a great stop on Friday night after work. It is exactly what is says it is...a taphouse. You can come in and have a pint from their 20 beers on tap. They also have wines and ciders. Looking for some fun with friends? They have board games to play. Hungry, and bummed they don't serve food (other than popcorn and bar mix)? That's OK too, you can order from a nearby restaurant and get delivery. Out walking your dog? S/he can come in too. You can also fill your growler. Get here early if you want to park or come on the Max and then you don't have to drive!

  • Jess L.

I love this place. Love it. Did I say I loved it? The beer selection is, of course, excellent. The staff though is what makes this place so great. I took my dog with me (yes dogs are allowed outside AND inside!) and they were just absolutely wonderful to her. The next time I went in without my dog- they asked how she was and I why didn't bring her in! They are just phenomenal. It's the little things like that that'll keep me coming back. Plus- DELICIOUS craft beers for a great price. Definitely a new favorite.

Today was our second visit, this time with our pooch! The owner has been so kind and welcoming both times. The beer selection is fantastic, we will continue to patron and definitely recommend. Thank you for allowing our 4-legged baby, Martha!

    (5)
  • Michael B.

Beer at its best. Comfortable and casual. 22 beers to choose from and the staff is knowledgeable with recommendations. Samples are given with no pressure to decide in haste. Sports dominate the three TVs and the train schedule is on the fourth. Now we just need a big hamburger joint next door.

    (5)
  • Todd H.

It's hard to believe that so many people think so highly of this place! It lacks any sort of refinement and the crowd is as snobby as you can get. Don't try to order any food, even though there is a menu on the table...because it's not the taphouses menu! It's a menu from a restaurant somewhere else. You have to bring in your own food. That menu doesn't say anything about that. You find out when you go to the bar (they won't come to you) to order anything. The beer is good, but so is the beer at BJ's...which has a much bigger bar, more televisions, and menus that reflect what you can ask for from the server who will come to your table to get your order. All at a price relative to the price of the beer at this place.

This is a fabulous place within walking distance of orenco subdivision. Also max station. Love the dog friendly part. Very nice establishment. Patrons are friendly.

  • Brian B.

Love this place! Great beer selection, excellent service and a fun and open atmosphere. I highly recommend it. The only reason it doesn't get a fifth star is that the available food isn't in house, you have to order from a local restaurant and they deliver. It really is a minor issue and would never stop me from going.

  • B R.

Beer is excellent but seriously what music is that? Seems like heavy metal or from an horror movie! Change that pls!

  • Lindsay I.

I have been here on a few occassions now and alhtough I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here I did enjoy myself. The beer selection was good and the staff friendly. Also love that they have games to play while you enjoy your beer.

  • Merilou T.

Finally a place in the West side with great beers on tap. I believe it was the owner behind the bar, he was super cool. He was friendly and was happy to tell us about the beers we were drinking. Super excited to go back and see what's on tap next time. Oh and you can bring outside food and enjoy a beer. Great little place in Orenco.

    (5)
  • Ed J.

First off, there isn't a lot going on here besides socializing and drinking beer. That said, what else do you go to a taphouse for? Beers are reasonably priced at ~ 4.50 a pint and there are plenty of good things on tap to choose from. Food is not really availabe from the taphouse itself beyond popcorn and snack mix, but they do offer a menu that you can text/call in a food order from and they will deliver right to your table. We tried this with some burgers and the service was fast and the food was hot and tasty. Parking is a bit of a challenge in the Orenco area, so if you aren't one of the lucky 5 or 6 vehicles that get to park nearby, plan on walking a ways.

This is one of my new favorite spots in Hillsboro. Bring your own food or have it delivered!! They have tons of great beers that are always rotating. I used to have to drive to portland for a place like this but now it's right next to my house. Great set up and vibe. You can even watch the current game going on!! Great price too! Love this place!! Will definitely be coming back!!

  • Greg J.

It really is a beer drinkers dream. The owners are extremely customer focused. I've spoken to the owner Dirk and he believes that he is just a conduit for his customers to drink the best, freshest beer possible. I don't see anything wrong with that.

  • Al M.

This place is awesome!! Came here from out of town. The owner remembered me and asked my option, took it seriously and offered to pay for the beer I tired. Really a great experience. So fun. Board games and great selection really a unique place!

  • Danielle K.

Cool place on the west side! I just recently found out about this place, so bf and I went to check it out. Just a block south of cornell in Orenco station, its a small place on the corner. High ceilings, big windows, almost industrial vibe when you walk in. Big screen above the bar shows how much is left in each keg, a running banner on the top of the screen shows people who have checked in on social media sites. Beer selection is awesome with rotating tap, bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Offering samples before ordering. They don't serve food, other than some little snacks like popcorn or pretzels. But they encourage you to order food delivered or bring what you want.

Great atmosphere, especially for outside of downtown Portland. The beer is great and very full bodied. I look forward to enjoying another round here soon!

The hubby and I Frigg'n love this place! Owners are super friendly and are motivated by the craft beer they are bringing to the west side (and making me drive out of pdx !) Golly, if they only had a kitchen I would give 5 stars!

Probably the best place for craft beer in Hillsboro. No BS, just good beer and friendly people.

  • Sarah W.

I have never been to a taphouse before. We didn't even make it inside before we were greeted by what I can assume is the owner? He was very attentive and explaining everything that we needed to know. They have a wide selection of beers and the big TV showing you what they have. I loved the simple decorations and the tables/chairs were very comfy. They also have games so you can play while drinking your beer. My only complaint is that I guess I wasn't standing in the "right" area to order because I was ignored while standing there. Also if you want anything other than greesy burgers then make sure you get there before 7 as a lot of food places that deliver to you are closed. So far my experience was good and I will be back!

  • Leo B.

Dirk and Tammy are the most gracious hosts at their Orenco Taphouse!!! I've moved back to Vegas and the Tap House is one of the things I can count on one hand that I miss about Oregon,,..No Karaoke, No Pabst, No Sound On Sports!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

    (5)
  • Lacey K.

Awesome place to get a drink and hang out with friends. Love that you can bring your own food or order from some of the other local places. I had a glass of wine there too and it was delicious, so even if you're not a beer drinker (I'm not!) you can still have a drink. They always have a cider too.

    (5)
  • Deb A.

Orenco Taphouse is a win win!! Owner Dirk's always cheerful attitude creates a light and fun atmosphere with an excellent selection of brews and great service. Love being able to bring your own food or order in, instead of being stuck with the same old pub menu options.

Updated review since 2013: still my local beer stop. They have music now... and new/additional help. Sunday is a good day for Led Zeppelin and other classics. Since opening they installed acoustic tiles on the ceiling which helped the echoey noise problem a lot. Parking still sucks. Can be annoying when there is a line and only one albeit friendly person working the bar. The place has hit its stride - has it's local following and regulars. Lot of diversity. Want the trash talking bimbos outside? no problem. The smokers ? no problem. the regular alcoholics? no problem. Young, middle aged, old farts - no problem. Seems as the newly built apartment complexes have filled up, diversity of local patrons has increased which is good for business. Though, with the outdoor seating - do you want your advertsing to be the trash talking low rent rough crowd out front and center? I suppose in Oregon and at a beer joint that is called character.

This place is just phenomenal. First, know what you're getting: beer, wine, and one tap of cider. They have a couple of munchies that they can make you. But that's it. No food, nothing fancy, just tasty things to drink. If you need food, you have several options on the street. However, in a 5 minute walk you can also head over to New Season's for their deli goods. They will let you bring in whatever food you want, and there are a couple of companies that will deliver. They are very reasonably priced - $4.50 for most pints, with some higher end items. They have samplers priced based on the beer you choose for when you just can't. The wine on hand is affordable and decent quality. They rotate in seasonal items as you might expect; the cider at the moment is a pumpkin for Woodchuck. TVs are always on sports, and they are good about changing them around to meet patron requests. They keep a few games on hand for people to play. Bathrooms are clean. They have a screen that tells you the MAX schedule if you need to take the MAX back out. Finally, the owners and bartenders are friendly and want to make sure you walk out with every intention of coming back. Soon. We have small children, so more often than not, we are grabbing growlers to go. However, every date night includes a stop at our favorite "townie bar."

This place is awesome, the staff and clientele couldn't be nicer. A vast selection of specialty beers in a friendly setting. Worth seeking out, I highly recommend!

What they do, they do well. 20 rotating taps. Pints. Growler fills. Nothing particularly exotic like what you might find at Belmont Station or Bailey's Taproom, but 20 solid beers - half of which are varieties that I'd typically consider having a pint of. This place does seem to fill the void for a decent beer place that was lacking in Orenco. My only complaints: Two weeks after opening the place still has a "set-up phase" feel, with shelves sparsely to half-filled with growlers (perhaps due to overwhelming initial success?). The room does have a cold feel to it, as another reviewer mentioned. And the absence of any prepared food options makes it feel like something big is lacking. I'd have definitely stuck around longer if they had something substantial to snack on. It's hard to imagine that this will be a sustainable model for the owners. In summary, it's a good beer place, I'm glad it's there, I wish they'd done it somewhat differently (and serve food), and I hope that it survives.

A much needed craft beer taproom in Hillsboro, 21 awesome rotating taps. The owners are friendly, knowledgable and passionate about beer and very welcoming. There is no food but don't fret you can bring your own food in, which is awesome! So grab a sandwich or pizza and stop by for a beer and some great conversation! See you there

Love this place. We can walk from our house to this bar or take the MAX (it's maybe a 3-minute walk up the street from Orenco/NW 231st station). Owner has great beers on tap for not a high price. A great ace on this side of the hills!

Good beer choices! Cheap beer ($4.50+)! Cheap beer flights ($7.50 I think, I can't recall)! What's great about this place is that not only does it have a pretty large selection of beer but they also tell us how much beer is left. Their digital taplist shows what beers are available is pure genius! Great atmosphere and service. Will definitely return

This place is awesome! I live right around the corner and our neighborhood lacked a good place to grab a beer. Much welcomed addition to the neighborhood guys! go grab a beer here.

Great passion for the beer. Could use a little more variety in styles but you can feel the love in this place. $14 for growlers is a tad high but they'll take care of your growlers more than anyone. A great start to a business.

Thank you!!

wow. Its Wednesday at around 7:15 and there's a pretty good vibe here. Not packed, but plenty of young people. Even in both sides of the outside seating. Bonus points because gulden draak, possibly my favorite ale beer of all time. Even though I'm alone all the time, i like to enjoy my beer whilst watching a blazers game......... cheers!

Cheers!

One of the best places to go in the area for an after work drink. They have a good selection of taps and rotate frequently. I have yet to have a hard cider here that I didn't like. The owners are nice and personable and always take the time to stop and chat with you when you come in.

Always a fantastic, rotating selection of beers here...and the bartenders are awesome. It gets very loud in this little place. If they had a food menu, I would come here much more often.

Beer at its best. Comfortable and casual. 22 beers to choose from and the staff is knowledgeable with recommendations. Samples are given with no pressure to decide in haste. Sports dominate the three TVs and the train schedule is on the fourth. Now we just need a big hamburger joint next door.

Love this place! Great beer selection, excellent service and a fun and open atmosphere. I highly recommend it. The only reason it doesn't get a fifth star is that the available food isn't in house, you have to order from a local restaurant and they deliver. It really is a minor issue and would never stop me from going.

It really is a beer drinkers dream. The owners are extremely customer focused. I've spoken to the owner Dirk and he believes that he is just a conduit for his customers to drink the best, freshest beer possible. I don't see anything wrong with that.

This place is awesome!! Came here from out of town. The owner remembered me and asked my option, took it seriously and offered to pay for the beer I tired. Really a great experience. So fun. Board games and great selection really a unique place!

This is great for the location. I will be much more enthusiastic when they , or if they decide to do 10 oz pours instead of only full glasses. Sometimes you just want a taste and to taste a few different beers than a full glass only. Ill keep going to Bailey's until this changes. Great place for the area though!

Most amazing prices, customer service and atmosphere I have seen yet! Parking is a bit limited but doable. Having 20 amazing craft beers ready to try is great. Tammy and Dirk are the best.

Great passion for the beer. Could use a little more variety in styles but you can feel the love in this place. $14 for growlers is a tad high but they'll take care of your growlers more than anyone. A great start to a business.

Love this place. We can walk from our house to this bar or take the MAX (it's maybe a 3-minute walk up the street from Orenco/NW 231st station). Owner has great beers on tap for not a high price. A great ace on this side of the hills!

Awesome place to get a drink and hang out with friends. Love that you can bring your own food or order from some of the other local places. I had a glass of wine there too and it was delicious, so even if you're not a beer drinker (I'm not!) you can still have a drink. They always have a cider too.
