First of all, I can't understand why this place isn't rated higher. I had the Gyro, which was super succulent and piled high with meat. My friend had the falafel which looked amazing and tasted (according to him) superb. We shared a plate of hummus which was perfectly seasoned. The bread they served appeared to be store-bought, but was served warm and delightfully fluffy. Each sandwich was $5-$5.50. And the hummus was about $4. Perfect pricing for what we got. We left a hefty tip anyways because the service was absolutely spectacular. I highly recommend this place and will definitely go here again. Please try it for yourself. We need more great places like this in the area.

I have read all of the other reviews and, as with most experiences, some have loved this place and others have not. My wife and I decided to try it out on a really hot day when the air conditioning happened to be broken so we decided to sit outside and eat. We found everything to be cooked just right and more than we could eat. There was plenty of feta cheese on the salads and the meat was delicious for both of our meals. The rice was a little dry but also very tasty. Plenty of freshly baked pita bread with the meal and more by request. The service was excellent and we will definitely go back. And...if you work at Intel and have a healthy paycheck, why not give this struggling business a break and not make them give you a 20% discount?

I LOVE this place! The staff is always friendly and the food always looks beautiful on the plate. I go here regularly for take-out (I just call ahead and place my order) since the kids don't have quite my appetite for Mediterranean food. I almost always get the meat gyro with feta and it is ALWAYS good (and I get one at least 3 times a week). I have tried other dishes but always come back to my favorite. The starter plate when you dine in has two delicious dips (I particularly like the olive one) and I recommend you add a side of extra pita bread because you are going to want to finish the dips! The price is inexpensive and a great deal for such delicious, filling food!

I really enjoyed the Mirage. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They were really great about allowing substitutions on their mezza platters to accommodate my friends gluten free needs. We ordered a side of rice to complement our hummus, baba ghanuj and tzatziki. It was a great alternative to the pita bread. I often find myself craving their dolmas. I am so looking forward to going back. I really hope they make it. It's a wonderful addition to Hillsboro.

They have two happy hours, (at least on weekdays), I'm not sure the specific hours. The food was amazing. My daughter took her boyfriend and me there for dinner a few weeks ago. Love their hummus and pitas and their spicy garlic sauce. The service was very warm and welcoming. Really liked the mint lemonade as well. Will be back.

Very good! Had dinner there tonight. We were started with warm pita and small dishes of olive tapenade and an olive oil herb mixture for dipping. We both ordered the combo platter of three separate meat kebabs serves over a savory rice. We had a choice of fresh made lentil soup or a cucumber/tomato/onion/feta/kalamata salad. Service is friendly and fast. I will be back!

The sign said new management...well, I thought that could happen as it wasn't really full anytime we stopped in. I had rooted for the family business, but ...was not surprised to see it had been purchased and there was a new chef. They have hired new employees, but not trained them. The waitress has no idea what the food is when you ask. She asks another employee, who informed us that tabouli was not salad but a sauce. I said, "No, I know what tabouli is..." he still insisted. It came out and was a salad as usual. Tasteless though. We asked for plates with the pita and dip..have waited half an hour. Nothing. Feta plate come out. Not well plated. Hardly any cucumber. No red onion. No olives. Finally they come out and ask how everything tastes. I say "We can't tell as we have no plates." Ohhhh he explains, they were waiting on your veggie platter...do you want other plates? Yes.. .we are sharing appetizers so we need plates. We realized that we never did get half of the items on the platter we ordered. I didn't want to complain, I just wanted to leave having spent nearly two hours getting all raw vegetable dishes. (No cooking was involved!) No serving spoons were ever provided, and the food was bland. Only the dipping sauce from previous owners remains. No refill on tea was offered. I have never seen a restaurant go downhill so quickly. Sad :(

Amazing. Karam is an awesome cook. Me and my boyfriend came in and we had wonderful service. We are amazing food and left very full and satisfied :) highly recommend

I came for a late lunch this week. Since it was my first time here, we decided to order the Meat Mezza and Combo lunch platter. The meat mezza had a pretty much all the appetizers they have and the combo lunch platter has the chicken, beef and kafta kabobs served with rice and salad. Firstly, there were only 2 tables that needed to be served food by this time, but it took forever for the food to come. Not quite sure what the delay was because I think other than grilling the kabobs, everything should be already prepared. From my combo platter, I think the chicken and kafta was nicely seasoned but the beef kabob was TOUGH. The rice was really yummy too, wish I got more of this :) The kabobs were pretty small considering the price of the platter (incidentally, prices has increased from what the website currently shows). My friend's mezza was encompassing. I like the meat that came with her mezza (lamb and beef gyro meat) better - the beef in particular, was a lot more tender. I find the humus salty. We both didn't like the baba ghanuj. Given that, next time, I probably would go with a gyro sandwich of some sort. That's the best tasting and priced thing here. Should be quickest too.

Chicken Kabob: Was very good. Shish Kabob: Very good. Lamb Kabob: Decent. Chicken Shawarma: Okay to Good. Exotic Baba Ghanoush: Decent to Good.
(4)Reina B.
The BEST gyro's and shawarma's (which apparently is the chicken version of a lamb gyro!?!) great guys own the place, amazing food! I am very impressed, might even hands down be the best gyro I have ever had, motivated me enough to yelp about this hidden gem. So excited we stopped in, will be going back very soon, plus it is very rare the kids go for anything new and they begged to return!
(5)Ryan H.
Have always had a pleasant experience dining here. Great service and food is delicious as well.
(4)Lorraine L.
Delicious! Mint lemonade and Kafta bbq are amazing! Plus, make sure to ask for extra bread, it's so good, you'll want seconds or even thirds!
(5)Brad V.
A delightful find. Warm, genuine, knowledgeable service. Pleasant music and a classy decor with a welcoming ambience. Very clean. Mint lemonade was refreshing! I had the veggie meza so I didn't have to choose :). Beautiful presentation. Flavors were fresh and balanced - deliciousness in every bite. The lamb shawarma plate had a generous portion of tender flavorful meat, rice and fresh salad. A hidden treasure to be sure! Thankful we are close by because we will be back.

WOW! My first time here, today. The people here are very nice and their food and drinks are original. It's a family owned restaurant, very clean, neat, friendly staff. Awesome. It's very cheap food, as well and tastes, smells and looks amazing. Very fast, friendly service! I'm definitely coming back.
(5)Elaine L.
Big *ss falafel sandwiches! Only $5.50! They're pretty good too. Their signature tahini dipping sauce lends itself well, and the olive tapenade and za'atar with fresh pita bread offering makes a great start. A large menu selection, reasonably priced, with lots of vegetarian/vegan options, but they also offer the traditional lamb along with beef and chicken too (all Halal certified). The place is clean, but not real cozy (it's an old Starbucks location, so there are a lot of "hard" surfaces inside). I'm glad to have this option in Hillsboro.
(4)Brandon W.
I love this place. My wife and I finally tried it a cpouple months ago after driving by it several times. The gyro platters are excellent. The gyro meat, rice and salad are consistently great, especially with the garlic sauce. Needless to say I have been hitting this place 2-3 times a week ever since. The (assumed) manager or owner is alway very professional and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. Based on this type of restaurant I give it 5 stars. Thanks you guys!
(5)Amber M.
We love eating here. We are here weekly. The staff are friendly and willing to give suggestions.
(4)Marla A.
Really good food! Super nice staff, prices are great! My family always enjoys a dinner here, just wish the seating area were a bit bigger. Must try - mint lemonade

Recently, Forest Grove lost its only middle eastern restaurant. A small town like Forest Grove can't afford to loose a good ethnic restaurant. Since my wife and I often have reasons to be in Hillsboro we decided to find some interesting middle eastern eats. The Yelp reviews of Mirage were encouraging, so we gave it a try. The restaurant is clean, and the decor is comfortable. On arrival we were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. Water and menus arrived quickly. Our orders were placed, and shortly thereafter complimentary zaatar olive oil, olive spread and warm pita bread arrived. Very tasty! The mint lemonade we ordered was refreshing. The baba ganuj starter arrived with more warm pita bread. Perfectly smoke roasted eggplant spread. My gyros wrap was large and packed with plenty of beef and lamb, and topped with an excellent house garlic sauce. My wife really enjoyed her lamb shawarma dinner plate. Very generous portions and delicious! We will be back soon.
(5)Scott T.
Very tasty gyro! Excellent service in a nice clean restaurant. I'll have to come back and try the kebobs.
(4)Angela A.
Good food, good prices. Veggie mezza platter was great! I ordered it as my meal. You get to have a little of everything. It was nice they brought out some pita and dipping sauces. Gyro slightly dry.
(4)Monique O.
The food is consistently good, the service... Not so much. The owner is great, but the staff is hit and miss. A couple of the food servers are good. The others who are careless should be let go.
(4)Curtis C.
Not sure why I went back.... My coworker tried to convince me that I must have gone on an off-day, so I tried again. The lamb shawarma was so burnt I could barely eat 1/2 of it. I like a little char on my meat, but this was just burnt. Bummer because this area could really use a little diversity food-wise.
(1)Megan S.
Ordered take-out dinner for 8 people. Had a little of everything. It was amazing! Great quality. Huge portions. Everything was ready quick and hot. Gyro was great. Rice was cooked perfect. Lamb delicious! Baklava was amazing! Love this place!
(5)Steve R.
Great tasting food. Well priced. Good Mediterranean food in Hillsboro. What's not to like?
(5)Singaravelan V.
I have been to this place 2 times now. I got to try their Chicken Shawarma sandwich and the falafel sandwich. Both the sandwiches were pretty good and they are reasonably priced at $6 for a sandwich. You can add a side of seasoned wedge fries or soup for $1 more which is a good deal for a side. The Fries were good and I tried the soup on another occassion. The soup was a curry vegetable soup which was a huge portion for a side and quite filling. The chicken shawarma sandwich was good and they got it right. Their Baklava just ok and it doesnt make the cut in my opinion to be classified as a good baklava.

We have dined here several times since opening. The customer service is wonderful. One time my son ordered a dish he did not like (picky child eater) and the waitress helped to find something else he would like without hesitation or even our asking. We have talked to the owner on a few occasions, although we don't know him and he is very excited about this restaurant and eager to make the experience a enjoyable one for his customers. He asked us what we liked and did not like and checked on us several times. He even made us a special dish after we told him what we liked! We enjoyed the food and are happy to have Mediterranean food closer to us than the establishment out Rock Creek way or Beaverton (both of which we like). It is a nice surprise hidden in a Hillsboro strip mall. It is more peaceful than the Mad Greek and I feel more welcome.

An experience I wish I didn't have. It's clear they're trying hard at the family restaurant, but almost everything about my visit wasn't right. Good: - Prices are very reasonable. - A small sampling of olive tapenade and some seasoned olive oil was provided with some pita chips right after we ordered. - Split pea soup was good. - Apologetic wait staff. Bad: - Their gyro spit wasn't even turned on, but perhaps there was one hidden in back which was. Their gyros tasted like they were boiled or something odd. I couldn't tell what was going on in the customer-visible part of the kitchen. - Baklava was atrociously undercooked; a sopping neon yellow mess of raw puff pastry. - Service was clumsy. My glass of water was empty for almost the whole meal. The waiter forgot my food and got two orders wrong. A complementary piece of baklava was a nice gesture, but the baklava was inedible. Improvement suggestions: - Increase the consistency of food quality. Lots of reviewers seem to have had good experiences. If your baklava is no good, then "Sorry we are out of baklava" is better than serving it anyway. - Having a wait staff is slow and unnecessary for people who just want gyros. When your food is served for $6 in a basket and the customers seat themselves, why not give customers a number?

Love it. Great food and great prices. Service was awesome. Plus through my Intel Passport program I get 20% off.

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit here a few weeks ago. We almost drove past, because they didn't have the sign up yet, but luckily we found the place. The food here is delicious and fresh. We started with the falafel plate, then each had a gyro- mine was chicken, his was the beef and lamb. I'm pretty sure this is the best gyro I've ever had. I don't know what it was, but sometimes the ingredients aren't quite right, but this one just worked. We also tried the potato wedges and the garlic sauce- so good! Of course, we had to try the baklava for dessert, also very tasty. It isn't the traditional pastry that I know, but under the phyllo is this cheese. I've never seen that before, but I approve! The service was also enjoyable. We will be back!
(4)Russell S.
The food was good but definitely not worth the price. They have very small serving sizes. I walked out of the restaurant still hungry. I'm definitely not coming back here again. Oasis is a much better choice.
(1)Rustie D.
This was our first time here and I am definitely a fan! The grape leaves were tasty and creamy. The tabouli was the best I've had, including the more expensive restaurants. Someone in their kitchen sure knows how to cook! I hope they stay that way. We had the veggie Mezza platter and that would have been enough for one person to have for dinner. They are generous with their bread - so nice and hot. The lamb sharwarma was delicious and oh so tender. The best was the mint lemonade! So refreshing and tasty without so much sugar. For a quick bite in a cafe type atmosphere, I really recommend this place. If you are expecting something fancy, then you will be disappointed. The service is high class, but the food is cafe - inexpensive - but flavorful and satisfying.
(4)Marguax S.
The food tastes great, unfortunately it's not worth the price. Small portions, skimping on salads. My salad was all lettuce with one, yes one olive, and 2 crumbles of feta... Wth?! Never again
(2)Chris G.
Had the appetizer platter and chicken shawarma. Really good, waitress was friendly and helpful. Food came quick and was fresh. We will be coming back.
(5)Carrie V.
They gyro was delicious and we were impressed by the complimentary starter plate. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
(4)Mandar P.
Unfortunately, we had really terrible experience. I ordered Chicken Kabab dish for lunch. The salad was almost tasteless, chicken was hard, not well marinated. My friends had similar opinion about the salad and meat. The service was good though. I don't think that I will go there again anytime soon. :(
(1)Nathan C.
Overall a very good meal experience. The food has great flavor, presentation and is generously portioned. The customer service is also very good and our waitress was very polite and astute. The value for what you pay is excellent; especially for dinner. 3 of us got out of there for less than $25 before tip for dinner. I would pass on the baklava as its ok tasting but not worth the price. Shwarmas (sp?) we're great and salad has a wonderful sauce. The music selection they play is annoying unless you like feeling like you're in Saudi Arabia... Overall nice experience in a clean, well designed restaurant if you can handle the music. Otherwise go in for a to-go order and take away the great food. 4 stars for Mirage.
(4)Amber Y.
It was good food for the price. We went during lunch. Humus plate was bigger than I thought it would be. Lamb shawarma was delicious! Will go back for sure.
(4)Bobby D.
A new place that opened a few months ago. They are still getting use to the crowd. The service was really slow almost to a point where we wanted to leave and they forgot to bring us our appetizer. The food was really good once we got it. I ordered a gyro sandwich. I may check it out again once they get their act together.

I needed a quick meal around 4:15 PM to get me through a long evening of meetings. I have always wanted to stop in- so I took advantage of the location and strolled in. I was immediately greeted by a lovely, young server named Maddy. It was happy hour menu-time. The portions were perfect and the flavors divine. I watched her prepare my dishes of Tahini with parsley and warm greek bread with tapenade and herbed oil sides. She also made me a very well stuffed lamb gyro. I was pleased that the flavor of the meat was not over-powered with herbs, salts and sauces. In other words- the thick slices of meat were meaty, moist and satisfying. I also enjoyed the potato wedges with yogurt dipping sauce. Both the happy hour and dinner menu offer a wide range of choices for vegetarians, too. If you want authentic Mediterranean fair, go to Mykonos. If you want a family friendly, hip, clean, place to have healthy/tasty meal with all the flavors of Lebanon - head to Mirage. No alcohol on the premises - fine with me. Now, for the real one-two punch. I found my new favorite restaurant AND spent less than $8 on a very healthy meal. I will be back and I will take my family next time. The only reason this did not earn 5 stars - it wasn't pricey enough...
(4)Randa A.
Really friendly service.. love the hummus the most... place decoration adds warmth to the atmosphere. Has a variety of vegan food... and perfect for meat lovers
(4)A K.
I am sad to say that we are not all impressed. I think my main issue ... no bread with our Mezza platter. I find it odd to have hummus and all the other "dips" with nothing to dip. Second, The Gyro platter had no bread either. I LOVE Mediterranean restaurants and I always enjoy the gyro platters because I make my own little gyro bites from meat, rice, bread and sauces. The platter only came with meat and rice. BLAH! Third... The rice was very dry and just there. :( After requesting some bread for our Mezza platter we found it was just plain ol' store bought pita. Ohh sad day for us. It was our "cheat" night for our diet we are on. Sad to say next cheat night (in three months) will not be this place. We will return to our regular Mediterranean hot spot Oasis in Beaverton at murray rd and scholls ferry rd. "At least we tried it " is how I will sum this up.
(2)M C.
Awesome gyros at a great price!
(4)Zachary W.
No no no! Looking for a quick bite on the way home and I have seen this place a few times, I usually eat my gyros at gyro house ( best gyros in town). This place was bad!!!!! The gyro meat was dry and hard. Paid a$1xta for feta and didn't come very much. Hardy any meat and dry as they come. Won't be back and learned my lesson not sticking with gyro house in Beaverton.
(1)Ali K.
Gyro wraps are great, tried the chicken, it was well marinated. Good value, will come back and recommend.
(4)Sandra L.
The customer service was amazing. I love supporting a local restaurant and a family-owned business. The gyro meat was wonderful, and the baba is out of this world. Check it out!
(5)Greg L.
I ordered Veg. Makaly Plate. It came with salad, rice and veggies. The salad was OK. Nothing to brag about. The veggies were very oily. They were not grilled, they were deep fried. Oil was oozing out of the veggies. I had to walk out hungry after the lunch, as I couldn't eat the veggies. There was not much variety in the veggies too.
(1)Martha D.
Wonderful service. We tried kabob combo platter and chicken shwarma. All good and inexpensive. I prefer baklava with more nuts and honey, but decent
