This is a local chain trying to emulate the big national sports bar chains. They have the same buy it in bulk, nothing special sports memorabilia littering the walls that you could find at any nameless chain sports bar. They have a butt-load of flat screen tv's, and yet, oddly, no one big screen so that you could go and watch the 'big game' on a larger monitor. The only thing I could find to differentiate it from every other sports bar/grill is that they have a Kobe beef burger option. Unfortunately, like so many other burger places, they don't bother asking how you would like it done and instead cook everything medium. Why oh why would you treat Kobe beef this way??? On the plus side, they do have a lot of different topping options for their burgers. Better to drown out the flavorless-ness of the meat. The menu is ridiculously huge and clearly everything is from frozen. I wish that they would focus on doing burgers great and pare down the rest of it so that they can offer quality options. They offer over 25 different sandwiches, another 5 different wraps and almost 20 different burgers. Oh, and over 30 dinner options. Then a boatload of lunch and dinner specials. Wait, now I gotta count the appetizers... I need a nap. The Hillsboro location is a little weird. The only other occupants of the strip mall are an eye place and a tanning salon (don't get me started ranting about those...). Trying to be like all the other boring, nameless, mediocre big sports bars seems like a recipe for failure, but what do I know?

Watched some of the game here and there are lots of TV's if sports is your thing. I had reuben and it was A-OK. Some of the meat was a little fatty but hey its a reuben. The potato skins were good. Everything we good sports bar food so nothing to complain about.

All the tables were dirty and it took 10 min. for anyone to notice my boyfriend and I when there was only two tables and two people at the bar. The blonde waitress was extremely moody and never brought me my Tabasco sauce. Luckily the blonde bartender Haley made up for the blonde waitress' mistakes!

Love how clean and sharp the pace is. I can haz Buffallo cheezburger and 2 mirror ponds... They gave me tater tots instead of fries by mistake, but not holding that against them. The place empties out pretty fast as it gets late, but what do you expect, this is the suburbs. Sports bar-ish without the attitude.

We had dinner here the other night. Having been to another Cooperstown in a different city, we kind of knew what to expect. My husband ordered the kobe beef burger and was very happy with it. I ordered the southwestern pasta with chicken and sausage. My dish was okay but not great. The chipotle sauce and spicy sausages were good but the chicken was terribly dry. The service was pretty darn slow. We waited over 30 minutes just for our salads then another 20 for our dinners. Overall, I wasn't terribly impressed. We will come back if we are craving kobe burgers though.

Yes, there is a limited selection of decent restaurants out here in the western burbs. With the closing of Amigos on Farmington, which was just down the hill from our home, we had to find another place as one of our last minute "let's go out" restaurant. One of the places we have tried is Lil Cooperstown. We have been to there twice and found; the service is very friendly but it took more time than expected to get the food to the table. The food was good and good value but not spectacular. It's clean and family friendly. We will be back but will keep looking for another one or two "let's go out" places.

The menu changed recently, and some of the things we used to like are gone. This place is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes the food comes out great and other times, it was just okay. I love oreo cookie milkshakes, one time I went in, it wasn't very busy, so we opted to just sit in the bar. The bartender lady was really excited about making my oreo cookie milkshake. It was probably one of the best I've ever had. Thick and creamy, so tasty. The appetizers we ordered were great. The second time I went, the milkshake came out watery, too much milk, very little ice cream. I was disappointed. The last time we went in, it wasn't super busy, but there were enough people. The hostess said we could sit at any table we wanted. We asked if we could have the last empty booth. She was shocked that we asked because there were only two of us. She actually told us she had to reserve it in case a larger party came in. Which is odd, because there were lots of empty tables they could've put together for a large party. But whatever, no big deal, we sat down at a table. The entire time we ate, the booth remained empty, by the time we left, 3 other booths were empty. I kind of feel you should cater to your current clients, not potential clients who may or may not be there. It wasn't like there were reservations. Anyways, the new menu. They added a few things, removed a few things. We ordered calamari, it tasted bland... like dusted with flour and fried with no seasonings. And the portions were tiny. My chicken wrap was okay and my husband liked his burger. The brownie was HUGE and pretty darn tasty. While our experience with the hostess wasn't good, our waitress was awesome. We'll likely eat here again, but maybe not as often as we used to.

Decent spot, we make it here once every few months. Decent staff and food.

Food is great. Large menu. They even serve breakfast on weekends. Staff are very friendly. Lots of TVs with sports playing, though none have closed caption so you can't tell what is being said. Decor is nice. Its dark, but lots of lights and windows throughout. Restrooms are always clean.

  • Brock D.

It's not hard to cook frozen processed food. If you want stuck up rude service from a teenager wearing a sports jersey you're in luck. Worst place on the west side!

Lil Cooperstown Pub & Grill was a great find. I had been searching for a restaurant that I could take some picky out of town guests to and decided to give Lil Cooperstown a try. It turned out to be a hit. The menu has lots of different options to choose from, even healthy options. I will definitely be going back.

have been back many times. Still a great place to go. Tons of TV's and great food. Great help there too. Nice hang out.

Agree that the menu is huge. Burgers were good, not great but good. Asia Buffalo Wings different from normal buffalo wings but very good. Service was excellent. Would go again.

  • Teri W.

Yuk! The atmosphere is nice, lots of sports memorabilia but the food was horrible! Who serves sausage gravy for dinner on Chicken Fried Steak? Can't remember what I had the second time we went. Must not have been worth remembering. Over priced, lousy service. Don't do it!

  • Carl P.

This plays beats every other sports bar in the area. Huge menu!!! Breakfast is great on the weekend and you will most likely go home with leftovers. Very clean and quite for a sports bar. Family oriented with a bar seperated from the rest of the establishment. This place in highly thought of in the Hillsboro area.

I go to the Lil' Cooperstown in Hillsboro and it hasn't disappointed me yet. They have the biggest menu I have ever seen and everything I have ordered so far, I have liked! The staff is friendly, we had great service and prices are reasonable.

HUGE menu! Specials nightly! Great staff! Decent prices! Delicious food! Always a place to sit even on a busy game night! One of our new favorite restaurants!

Nice clean place with good burgers. The menu is really pretty long, but grab a drink and read...

  • Matt D.

We've been to Lil Cooperstown a few times now, and haven't been disappointed. The menu is positively mammoth, and everything we've tried has been great. The portions match the menu- large! Service is great, ambience is high-end sports bar-esque- impressive for a Hillsboro strip mall. Kid friendly, reasonable prices. The chili burger and fries was especially memorable for me.

Stopped here after a movie... first and only time. No greeting/host so we sat ourselves and waited for 10 minutes before leaving. One gal came by.. nice enough and says "the waitress will be with you, she hasn't forgotten about you guys". No offer of a drink order, water, nothing. After another several minutes of no service we left.

    (1)
  • Kristin S.

Terrible service. Overpriced food. VERY loud atmosphere. We gave it a second chance recently after a very bad service experience a few years ago- asked our server to ask the next table to maybe quiet down a little, they had been drinking heavily and were swearing and yelling, turns out it was the owners and we were escorted out of the restaurant. Not a family dining establishment, won't ever go back.

I don't know why anyone would eat here. The food is overpriced and from just the appetizers we ate, I can imagine the food is bad, as well. We had the Buffalo wings, which were a spicy homemade sauce. Not spicy and kind of bland. Also when my husband got close to the bone it was raw. The hummus plate was the worse I've had. It was super bland (do these people know what salt is), the quinoa tabouli, was far from a tabouli. There was a ton of spinach, about 2 pickled onions. It was a hot mess of a hummus plate. Normally I would tell my waiter, but he was a bit of a tool and in a bad mood. I'll pass on this place.

Well I am not a scientist by any means but by my calculations my tots shouldn't be cold by the time they get to the table given the kitchen is less then 25 feet away and does not include a trip through Antarctica.. It also took longer to get a beer then it does at McMennamins. Then the beer was flat, so it took another 20 minutes to get a unflat beer. I've learned a valuable lesson after my experience here, I should have just waited in the 30+ minute line at McMennamins.

My husband and I live close to here, so we frequent this place for lunch and dinner. Our food is always fresh and tasty. They have great service. We would recommend it to anyone.

Eh, this would almost be a 3.5-4 star review but last time we were there they hid the HH menus. Straight up did not have one single HH menu on any of the tables in the bar. They were hidden up on the bar counter behind the garnishes. That's pretty shady. We knew it was HH since we'e been here so many times so my girlfriend was the one who noticed the missing menus and located them. If you DO get happy hour, it has a good selection of food and drink specials. It's every day - I guess they just don't want you to know about it anymore? To be fair, the waitresses do have to deal with some jackoff patrons, but we normally have decent service.

  • Julie R.

Not only was my food not even ordered but they brought my husband salad and dinner and our appetizer out at the same time. We asked for salad and appetizer to be brought before dinner not all at once. His hamburger was very pink in the middle which wasn't requested. Sorry not returning here. Plus my waitress must have been fired since she has disappeared. Haven't seen here since.

I was in on a late Monday afternoon (4:30pm) for a quick bite to eat. Our server, her name was Penny I think? came over to our table of 2 fairly quickly and got our drink order. We ordered water to start because we were still looking at the food and beverages. Never been here before. Shortly after she left, presumably to get our drinks, our server stood behind the bar talking to a coworker. After that, another couple walked in and sat at the bar top, immediately being served by our same server a beer and some other cocktail. I guess she would rather play bartender than server because it took her less time to take their drink order and poor it then to bring waters to a table 10 feet away. We gave her about 10 more minutes before walking out. No water, no further drink order, and we went to eat somewhere else. I hope the management pays attention to this and other reviews in particular to service quality. I'd love to review the food as well but felt that we would have never got our food, let alone that in a timely manner either.

This is in our neighborhood and is typically an easy place to meet up. As of late the service has gone down hill. We came at happy hour and were seated one table over from the bar because the seats were full in the bar. We were told we could not order from the happy hour menu because we weren't in the bar. Literally two feet from me people were ordering from that menu.. what are we suppose to do? go sit on laps? It is not only this experience but many recent ones where our server just seemed annoyed to even working. I really recommend taking your money and your friends somewhere else.

It's another one of those sports bar grill restaurants. You've been to one, you've been to them all it seems like. There are plenty of TVs which means multiple games can be on at the same time. We came here on a recent night for dinner. Both the sweetheart and I were not very hungry so we opted to share a sandwich. It was a quiet evening. We seated ourselves at a booth in the bar area of the restaurant. Our drinks came to us fairly quickly but the wait time from when we ordered the food to when it arrived seemed to be long. At one point, a waitress stopped by the table to take our order. We told her we already ordered. She seemed really confused. We ordered the philly steak dip or something like that. I thought the steak was too salty. The au jus was good. The tater tots were soggy as if they had been sitting in oil for a very long time. There was no crunch to it at all which was why we ordered it instead of fries. The meal itself was a complete disappointment. We went home and had a bowl of cereal instead. The service was mediocre...I would give it a C-. A very low C-. Not once after we were served our food did any of the wandering waitresses check on us. We had to track down our bartender/waitress so we could pay our bill. The other one was too busy chumming it up with the regulars and even if she wasn't busy, I was afraid to confuse her even more by asking her for our check. It reminds me again why we don't come here. Food is overpriced for the quality and the service is terrible.

This place has such bad service!! All the servers look depressed such bad energy... Ugh. Our server Hannah such bad customer service. Maybe they haven't heard that saying "fake it until you make it" never coming back if you can go somewhere else

Came here because my coworker recommended it for our lunch break. So I agreed since it was somewhere new to try and close to work. Once we opened the door to get in there was this awful stench of foot odor. Eww! I kind of shrugged it off and walked in, picked a table (no greeting), and sat down. We got there around 12:10pm (keep in mind our lunch break is an hour long) and ordered around 12:15pm. We waited for the longest time and there wasn't that many people there. Probably 3 other tables of 2. So we waited and waited some more and it finally arrives at 12:43pm. Really? We ordered the championship nachos and onions rings... Why would that take so long to make?? And when we got our food it wasn't even hot! Ugh I was already irritated and hungry so I shrugged that off too to quickly eat but within 7 minutes we asked for to go boxes because we were cutting short at 12:50pm to get back to work. All in all, customer service was super slow with barely customers there and food was cold after a long wait. The waitress was nice but wasn't very efficient. Therefore, you be the judge.

The food and drinks were great thurs ev. The servers where out to lunch and very uninterested, and non-attentive. Rough night for the ladies?? I prob won't go back as I really enjoy quality customer service and smiling faces & friendly atmosphere. I'm new to the area and will keep looking for the neighborhood spot. Keep swimming

I had an excellent meal with a friend here yesterday! Cream of Mushroom soup to die for and a burger stacked high!! I will return!

Came here for lunch about 4 different times during the week. The wait staff is mostly great and happy. Food is good and the prices decent. I like the feeling of a place being clean, nice and a fun atmosphere. Been hit or miss with the bloody Mary's but the margaritas are good.

  • Michelle B.

No seats in the bar during happy hour which has happened before and was honored happy hour at the table...once again this place has changed it's rules and won't honor the happy hour menu.

    (1)
  • Corey R.

If your looking for happy hour. It's great. But beware of you want happy hour go early. If the bar is full you won't get happy hour menu options. The bar area is small so it fills up fast. We asked if they would offer the happy hour menu to us as we could not get a seat in the bar. They refused. That is rather annoying as we came specifically for the happy hour. It's very unlikely we will be back. If you can't accommodate your customers what is the point. Giving 0 stars for management. Server was apologetic but couldn't change "the rule" so 5 stars for her. Food is great so I'm sad the place is not backed up by great management. Major bummer.

I'm now a huge fan. If you want good food and a relaxing atmosphere. I will have to say I just had the best burger I have to date in the Portland area. We will be back a will bring friends and family.

The happy hour menu is great! The prices are low and the quality is big. Great place to catch the basketball game!

  • Marla K.

Cooperstown has a lively atmosphere and even if you're not a sports fan you could enjoy it. That said, we've gone numerous times over the years but have had to finally admit that the quality of the food has gone south. So much so that the BLTA Sandwich that has always been a favorite was (on our recent visit) frankly pathetic. Flabby bacon and "toast" that was white and appeared to have barely seen a toaster except to dry it out. The meals there have been increasingly disappointing and our last visit sealed it for us--we won't return. And don't you hate it when you feel you're "imposing" on the server? MK in Hillsboro

After a somewhat successful lunch with the girls on a Thursday, I hauled my family in here Sunday morning for breakfast. When we walked in the server said "which game are you here for?" Uh oh. Game? Princess' dad "Um, none of them." He may coach her soccer team, but he is not a sporty person. Does not watch sports, play sports, think about sports, enjoy sports... only soccer and only because of Princess. He is a good dad that way. He does ride his bicycle to work, a lot. So he's not inactive or anything. Ahem. We won't discuss how he works for that particular shoe place. Nope. So the server seated us close to the door ( sensing correctly that he might want to escape) and got us menus, water, coffee, etc. There were a lot of televisions on and it was really noisy and there were a lot of people sporting what I think were Steeler's colors and jerseys. There was a family of five next to us with their kids in jerseys, all of them. Weird. We did have an ok breakfast. Princess had a side of biscuits and gravy that was enormous ( $5 I think) and pretty tasty. Her dad had a chicken fajita omelet that he was ok with, hashbrowns that he felt tasted like old oil, and some toast he thought was overly buttery. But I think it was the sports that put him off, really. My eggs over easy, homey red potatoes, and toast were just fine. Coffee was kind of weak but not terrible. Service was good. Place was clean. Princess was entertained by this strange thing called football on television, which she had never really seen before... so bizarre, mom, why do people like THAT? If we go again I need to make sure there is no big deal game on at that time. It kinda freaked Hubby out.

Good menu, just not good food. Always prepared wrong, cold when it comes out, and please nurse you're beverage, because the server won't be back to refill it. I went in with some friends last year to watch Game 5 of the World Series. Around the 4th inning, the lady turned all the channels to Monday Night Football. I asked her what she's doing and she says "It's Monday Night Football Night" I replied "This is LIL COOPERSTOWN" This is a Baseball establishment and you just turned off Game 5 of the World Series for Football game? Yeah, I left and watched the rest of the game at Red Robin.

Their food is OK (and in Hillsboro, you don't have as many options as you would in Portland). Kind of hit or miss at times... their thin-patty cheeseburgers aren't great (such as their happy hour burger). Their 1/2 lb ones are much less dry, but aren't exactly all that great either (they don't really stand out). They do have a large menu however, so it's not too hard to find something that sounds tasty (from what I've tried so far, it all sounds tastier than they can deliver unfortunately). I've given them a couple of chances, but I'm not sure how many more times I'll go before giving up (my wife wants it to work out, as they're close by, but I'd rather drive a few more minutes and enjoy what I'm eating). I do have an issue with the management there... I was there with my kids a couple months back, and my son tried out their 'grappling hook' game at their entrance. It took our money, and didn't do anything. We then tried the other game at their entrance, my son put in his money, won an item, but the machine came back with an error on the screen (basically saying that the part that spits out won items was empty and needed servicing (even though the machine looked full)). That's after it took our money! The worst part is, I asked to speak with the manager, and when I confronted him with our issues, he said that "they're not Lil Cooperstown's machines, so they're not responsible for our losses"! I told him that was horrible customer service. He came back later with the game machine refund, but that definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Yum! Just finished my lunch at lil Cooperstown in Hillsboro and my burger was DA BOMB!!! Best burger in 10 years, easily. Thank you LC!! Service kinda slow for a slow lunch hour but I forgive.

A nice local chain Sports Bar with decent food and beer. The beer selection could include more local beers, but the ones they have are well chosen. The food selection is simple but affordable. And a ton of TV screens. Not great service when bay, but that's like most places.

    (3)
  • Pamela L.

The waitresses here are super awesome and very friendly!! But the horrible rotten rancid smell in the female bathroom that leaks into the entire restaurant every time I've been here just ruins the entire experience! They should really do something about that stench!

The wait was a little long but the food was worth the wait! Large portions and a good side salad!

The service is great. I organize a big group lunch for work once a month and it's a struggle to find a restaurant that is happy about serving 20 people during lunch. I called Lil' Cooperstown and made a reservation for "between 15 and 20" and they weren't fazed. When we arrived they had a big table all set up. Only 15 were able to make it, but it didn't bother them a bit, they were still welcoming and friendly. I thought my salad was supposed to have artichokes but it didn't have any, other than that the food was great too. I'm definitely going back for a burger, the ones everyone else was eating looked like the bomb!

I've driven by this place about 300 times more than I've ever come in. Mostly because the reviews were just crap so I didn't even give it a thought. But during the last gasp of the letdown 2012-2013 Blazer season, we wanted to find a place to watch the game but avoid the crowds. Cooperstown had a happy hour and...improved reviews. I figured let's try it out. It's very sport-y - ie sports memorabilia on every single space wall space. We showed up for the later night HH and plopped ourselves down. The HH is well varied and deeply discounted based on their normal prices. Top tier is $5 for all kinds of tasty. So far I've tried the sliders, the onion rings, mushrooms & the side ceasar. No let downs yet. Tasty, quick and cheap. And thankfully their happy hour is a FULL happy hour - food AND drink specials. Well drinks are $3.79, upcharge for fancier liquor is minimal and beer is discounted too. Service is fine, quick, and no issues there. We've found another local fav happy hour. Which is daily 3-6pm and 9-close. I just wish they stayed open later!

Consistently going downhill. The only good thing on the menu are the burgers. The Manager is a smart ass and really doesn't care if you're happy or not.. changes need to be made ASAP.

This is quite the litle staple for stopping in for drinks, lunch and or dinner. I have always enjoyed coming in here. I love it because it's close to home and on the way home or on the way back into work. Love stopping in for lunch and maybe dinner on the way home. Just go in and meet the DH and we're regulars here.. even though yelp doesn't say I am yet, I am though, and they know us. Truth be told they know the DH more than they know me. He loves it because of the tvs to watch sports and the whole sports feel of the place. Great full bar and friendly staff. Food is good, not spectacular.. but it's good. I love it when I go here because they always have what I want. Be careful if you have a hard time making decisions, the menu is quite vast and plentiful. I would recommend looking online first if you think you'll take awhile and you've never been here. Don't hold up your hungry table mates deciding for the perfect thing, there's always a reason to come back!!

We had a fair experience here. Took the family for dinner on a quiet night with no major sports events happening. Service was very slow and really not all that good. Just before we were leaving, some guys came in and told the server that they were headed to a movie and had a show time to catch. I thought to myself, good luck guys, I don't think you're going to make it. The food was pretty tasty. The steak salad was pretty good. Also had some sort of sandwich was pretty good too. Didn't get any refills on the drinks, so got a bit thirsty. It may just have been that night, but it didn't really impress me.

Waste of money. Dirty. Poorly managed. After our party of 8 (3 were children) was seated they quickly took our drink order... When the drinks arrived we asked if they had kids menus and the waitress said she would bring some over. We waited and waited... Finally my husband flagged down another employee and asked for the kids menus again. We were told they need to make copies because they can't find any. We waited over 15 minutes for our appetizer and 30 more minutes for our food. Needless to say we weren't even hungry after eating nachos and letting them settle. Thank goodness we weren't hungry because we found two pieces of long black hair in one of our club sandwiches. We told the GM and and he said "Oh gross! I'll take that away right now." He did take the plate away but did not take it off the bill. Our bill was over $100. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Quality of food: Club Sandwich meat was horrible. Similar to the packaged sliced meat you buy at Winco that lasts forever in the package (YUCK). Pork Sliders and Ruben were just like every other sports bar. The GM needs training in customer service. He is not fit to run a restaurant. Disappointing.

I deleted my previous review, this place has done a huge turn around and I now can happily give it 5 stars, YAY! First off their Friday Clam Chowder is some of the best I have EVER had, and today I tried the Split Pea Soup, it was divine. Their food is awesome, their Fish and Chips are house made and delicious. They have Tator Tots! They recently added some new items to their menu, including Chicken and Waffles which I am dying to try. Their Burgers are solid as are their Sandwiches. During the week they have lunch specials on their burgers/salads and sandwiches which are quite a good deal. My Favorite Burger is the Jalapeno Burger, the sammy is their BLTA, so yummy, the Bacon is thick and flavorful, highly recommend. I have grown to love this place and Hubby and I end up here at least once a week for lunch. I am still not impressed with their Breakfast menu, but lunch and dinner total thumbs up!

Food was okay, but the service was AWFUL! Went to happy hour with my boyfriend and waited 20 minutes for our drinks. Then, after seeing everyone who ordered after us get there food, we received our salad, fries, and cheese quesadilla... AFTER WAITING A TOTAL OF 48 MINUTES!! I will never go back there again. The bleach blond server was rude and never gave us the time of day. VERY DISAPPOINTED. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!

I'm not sure how they did it, but the food sounded and looked good but ended up tasting like cardboard. And it had bacon. How is that possible? My boyfriend and I didn't say anything during the meal (you must NOT speak to the man while the Mavs game is on - I've learned my lesson), but as soon as we walked out we started talking about how bland everything was at the same time. We really just wanted to go somewhere close that had a few TVs for the Mavs game. They were sweeping the floor more than helping diners. It wasn't horrible service, but it could've been better. "Meh. I've experienced better" fits nicely.

Came here for some bloody mary's the day after a crappy night so the bloody mary's definitely hit the spot nice and spicy and thick. The service was good. Their happy hour menu looks really good and cheap so I'll definitely try it next time I'm not super hungover and can actually eat something!

We have always loved Lil' Cooperstown! We loved watching the games here. They have plenty of TV's and always have the big game on the big screen. They have Happy Hour ALL DAY Sunday!!! Great prices for great food and some great prices on drinks too! We came in Sunday for Sunday night football after trying a dive of a place down the street. The service is always friendly, although tends to get slow once you have ordered your food. The waitress kind of just disappeared. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. 22oz beers a bunch of happy hour food and tip for $30. Not bad :) Great for a group of people too. I do prefer a sports bar over this only because I don't like ankle biters yelling when I am watching the game. But for the most part this place is awesome.

Has it really been almost 2 years since I reviewed this place? Woah. My husband comes every week during football season, and I'll occasionally tag along. Their food is still solid, their menu is still huge. They've got your cravings covered, from burgers to wraps to fish tacos to salads. My favorite is the very first entree I ordered: the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything else is good, but that damn wrap is up on a pedestal! But then again, smother anything in a nice buffalo sauce, and I'll be singing its praises. They get a shout-out for their awesome happy hour - it really is one of the best around. They've got specials on drinks and food starting at $1.95 (I hate it when "happy hour" consists only of food specials or only of drink specials - that doesn't make me happy!). Most of the good food stuff runs in the $2.95-$3.95 range, which is still killer. They also run good drink specials during some sporting events. Service is average as far as speed, but everybody's really friendly. It can get noisy during sporting events, but hello, it's a sports bar.

The Hubby and I were searching for a place to grab a drink before our movie started and being that we are visiting and didn't know the area, we stopped into the first locale that we found on the strip. As we parked it didn't seem that anyone was instead let alone the place being open, kinda sketchy area but again it was late and I'm not familiar with Hillsboro. Entering into the place, we found 1 other couple so I was wrong, we weren't going to be the only customers, lol'.. Typical Pub & Grill decor, very clean and up kept, not sure how long it's been there. The bartender was a doll, always helps when the place is slow as molasses. We ordered drinks and got some fries too which were yummy! They had awesome HH prices on drinks and food, we will definitely be visiting again when we are in town.

It's a sports bar and that theme doesn't go over super well with my boyfriend and I who could care less about sports. The food is spendy, but was very good and fresh tasting so I guess it was worth it. Despite being a sports bar it was quiet and comfortable and not overly crowded. But most likely we went on a night where there was no big sporting event going on. The wait staff was somewhat slow but we will probably be back just because it's close to the movie theater and has good chicken and fish dishes.

Food is average. 1 person took our order (though it took a few minutes for someone to even acknowledge us), 1 person brought our food, and another person checked on us once and it took 20 minutes for us to finally get our check AFTER we had to tell across the bar for it. Go there if you don't want to be taken care of it have no where to go. I used to be a bartender and understand hanging out and talking to your regulars, but when you have a section beyond the bar you need to spend less time with your regulars and more time cultivating your other tables into regulars and the managers mostly stood at the end of the bar chatting it up with the regulars as well. I live right down the block and would like to have a regular spot but i think it will be a while before i come back to here, See you at OC

Lil' Cooperstown is going down hill fast. Prior to the menu change, I rated this a 4/5 stars.. The wait staff is great, without them, I would not return. They recently changed the menu. The food was almost a4/5 prior to this review. They are using cheaper deli meat for the sandwiches, the burger meat seems lower quality, and are smaller portions. The thick cut bacon has been replaced by a cheap substitute. For what they charge for burgers, I would now rather eat at Red Robin (yikes). The kids menu has a lot to be desired.. they removed the mini pizza, therefore we tried the Mac & Cheese. The mac & cheese comes from a .98 cent box from a store made with powdered cheese, and the staff have the nerve to call the cook a "Chef". We were once regulars at this establishment, however until a change is made with the cooks, and bring in fresh food, and the standards it was once at, we will unfortunately not be returning.

It's Saturday morning and Cooperstown is almost empty despite the fact that they do a pretty decent breakfast on the weekends. Pros: Their prices are reasonable. They have some different takes on their entrees, for example the taco omelette has chicken not beef. They give you warm syrup for your pancakes. They refill your drink order while you lounge around after the meal reading the paper. Cons: The cook was too heavy handed on the butter for the toast. They only have sweet cream pancakes. (Personal note: I don't like sweet cream pancakes.) Overall an enjoyable breakfast. The background music was loud enough to hear but not overwhelming. Easy parking and a decent if not inspired breakfast.

The hubs and I primarily go here for HH because the drink and food deals are really good, but we have also taken the entire fam here for dinner. In all the times we have come here and the food has always been consistently good (besides, any place who carries sweet potato fries gets a gold star in my book). Their menu primarily consists of burger and sandwich concotions as well as salads and appetizers. The place is spacious, the bar is segragated somewhat from the restaurant area, but there are T.V.s all over the place so you won't miss a play. Portion sizes are pretty big as well so if your mid sized kiderinos are so inclined, a dinner could probably be split so that offers more choices than a kid's menu would.

AWESOME HAPPY HOUR! This place is just down the road from us, and we'd driven by it dozens of times before checking it out. I took a peek at their website and noted that they had an excellent happy hour menu. Foods on the menu are standard, bar staples, but at @ $1.99, $2.99 or $3.99 each, why not just try one of everything! Well, our appetites aren't that big, thank goodness. What we did order: 2 well drinks @ $3.75 each.. they were served "tall". Nice sized drinks. Not too strong though, sadly. lol 1 cesar salad - big and yumy 1 order of boneless hot wings - wow.. they were tasty! served with blue cheese and carrot/celery sticks too! 1 spinach artichoke dip - which was exceptional! served piping hot with crumbled croutons and cheese on top. Yum! 1 order of BBQ pork sliders. Served on really yummy rolls, heaped with BBQ pork (very tasty!) and coleslaw (also, very good!) Total cost, out the door, and including a 20% tip: $24 bucks. Yeah... we'll be going back there to happy hour it up again!

We went to Lil'Cooperstown today and were greatly disappointed. The service was ok (the dark haired hostess was Great) and the food was mediocre at best. Easy to say we'll not be returning. If you have a special place in your heart for bland overcooked burgers and grease soaked tots & fries then Lil Cooperstown is the place to go.

How do you spell mediocre? From the sterile sporty ambiance, to the food. It's like Applebee's on steroids and local. While the service and what they offer is decent and edible, I don't really find much to write about your usual, ribs, beer, chicken, soup, sandwiches and salad offerings. Nothing really outstanding here. But I'd still patronize it than a bar full of people with knocked down teeth, hybrid of Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse, retired hookers, tweakers, depressed ex cheerleaders who've gained three folds of themselves after graduating HS and demented Disneyland characters.

Good location and set up for watching sports events. Also, I have been here a few times for big sporting events and it is never that busy so good if you are looking for a place to catch a game with friends and not have to wait long. Now why would that be... The food here is not good at all and the drinks are pretty sub-par as well. I have ordered different appetizers and main dishes, and never had anything that was remotely worth trying again. Unless you are ordering beer or wine, do not order a drink. Many times myself or someone in my party has wondered if there were actually any alcohol in their drink. Obviously this is just a sports bar and not known for quality drinks, so not much should be expected. Would only recommend if you are looking for a place that will seat you quickly, has access to a game and plan on only drinking beer and not eating food.

I came for their happy hour and it was great! Excellent selection, quick and cherry service and very good happy hour food. Their drink menu had a nice variety and I like that they offered lower calorie mixed drinks for us ladies. Will definitely be back!

Lil' Cooperstown earns 4 stars from me in what would ordinarily be a 3 star review for the following reasons: - Our server was extremely patient with a group of 4 fairly hyper, obnoxious middle aged guys. Hyper and obnoxious typically aren't associated with middle aged but whatever - we're always like that. She patiently "extended" happy hour pricing on our first round AND our food order even though she would have been entirely justified yanking it away from us. Thanks for that! - They have a nice, but somewhat small, selection of cold local beer. What they lack in volume, they make up for with good selections. I like to see Rogue Dead Guy Ale on tap at places like this. Superficially, one could assume that they'd have a lineup consisting of Bud, Coors Light, Dos Equis and perhaps something like Blue Moon. Nope, LC makes some smart choices here. Kudos for that. - Decent HH food at HH prices. I went out on a limb and ordered fish tacos. They were fine. My friend's fish and chips looked good, so I pilfered a chunk. Fried for just a *hair* too long, but otherwise I think that had potential. The other 2 guys I was with had burgers, and said they were "fine" too. "Fine" translates to "perfectly acceptable" during HH, in my book. Brandi W. is right on with her assessment of the sports memorabilia. It's as if they went to the warehouse of sports memorabilia and said "I'll take one of each, enough to fill xxxx square feet of sports bar, and NO DUPLICATES, please". There's a George Brett signed jersey. Huh? Then you've got your Green Bay era Brett Favre signed 8.5" x 11". Curious, I guess. It's just fairly "paint by numbers" sports bar stuff. I will admit that it's fairly non-obtrusive. Overall, not shabby. The space itself is nice, with plenty of seating (both booths and barstools/open tables). Therefore, in summation, some nice touches prevented this review from becoming just another run of the mill 3 star jobber.

This place is surprisingly good. Usually good service. I really like coming here for breakfast, its not too busy, and I love the scrambles with red potatoes as a side of toast. For whatever reason their sourdough toast is amazing. I know its just toast but between the bread and quality of toaster they use, I'm a fan. I'm not however, a fan of the coffee, I like robust and flavorful strong coffee, so I learned once just to go for an iced tea.

I took my vehicle for a brake job, and walked over to Lil Cooperstown for a pint and some lunch while I waited. I sat at the bar and made eye contact with the "bartender" (to use that title loosely). She was so involved in a story she was telling some other woman, she completely ignored me. I sat there for about ten minutes, then decided the crappy food--which I had had once before--wasn't worth further prolonged waiting. I haven't been back since, nor will I. Mediocre food, heinous service, and a lame try at baseball motif... You can keep it.

On my return visit to the Lil Cooperstown Pub & Grill in Hillsboro the service had improved and they had subtitles on one of the televisions. Lil Cooperstown Pub & Grill must be listening to us Yelpers! We sampled two burgers on this visit. One was the Big Kahuna with grilled pineapple, black forest ham, and teriyaki sauce. Our other burger was the "Cowboy Burger" which had a fried egg, bacon, onion rings, and a delicious barbecue sauce. This visit reaffirmed what I said earlier: Lil Cooperstown Pub & Grill serves the best gourmet burgers in the Portland area!

The menu is huge, but $11 for a club sandwich and fries is a little on the high side to me. The Monte Cristo would have been better if fried a little longer, but overall not bad. I was there with a group and did like that they just left a pitcher of Coke on the table so they wouldn't have to constantly refill glasses - that was just fine with us. The waiter also had some kind of "pretend to be a jerk" schtick going ("no, I'm not getting that for you, get it yourself, ha ha ha" and "you're difficult") that made him seem, well, like a jerk. All in all, I'd try again but wasn't super impressed.

The menu is so huge it took me 15 minutes to decide what I wanted! They have so many options-burgers, salads, pasta, seafood & a whole page of sandwhiches just to name a few. Their burgers are great--especially the benson (bacon, cheese, avocado, tomatoes, onion, pickles) YUM! Their nachos are ok, but not great- I am looking forward to going back for another burger (and I'm not really that into burgers--they're really good here!)

I decided to give the place another chance. It definitely paid off. I had herd the best times to go now were on Sunday's and Tuesdays when there weren't as many people. This turned out to be true, but there were still a few things that made my 3 star decision happen. This time we had the bartender as a waiter. Things seemed to go a little quicker in terms of getting our drinks and order taken. After that, it all slowed down again. We had to specifically ask for our appetizer to be brought out before our main course. It took a long time before our food was brought out. At least it was nice and warm when it was brought out. :-) I ordered the fish and chips and my fiance ordered the steak. It was cooked perfectly! I was amazed, since last time the steak was so over cooked it could be used as a door stop! My fish and chips had great flavor, but were a little on the greasy side. Yes I know they are fried, but they don't need to ooze grease. The food was excellent once it was delivered. I still give a 3 star rating because of the slow service, as well as yes we were checked on- but it didn't seem like the staff was to enthused to want to be of service. I will give them one more go since it seems to have improved substantially since the last time we had visited.

Visited for the first time today with my two boys. I had a decent cobb salad. Honestly, it's smaller than what I've had elsewhere, but I still walked away full. My teenager seemed quite happy with his Benson Burger. (But then, he thinks a joint is classy, if they ask him how he wants his burger cooked!) I liked that, on the kids menu, they offer fresh fruit as a side, instead of fries. Their happy hour menu looked pretty decent with food prices started at $1.95, I believe. Might go back and check it out. The Happy Hour menu did mention that it was for the bar only though... wish it was available restaurant-wide. They had multiple TVs set up, which was a nice distraction. Plus, the sports memorabilia all over the walls gave us a lot to look at. When we walked in, there was a sign telling us to wait to be seated... it took several minutes before someone showed up, but once we were seated, our server was friendly and attentive.

Food was good. Happy Hour selection is great for food and drinks, however the main disappointment is that they refused to play the sound while I was there to watch an NFL game. They said it was a corporate rule passed down from the FCC for trademark infringement. That makes no sense since this is a sports bar!? I feel for the employees that have to explain that over and over again...

Stopped by here for the first time tonight. Atmosphere is sports bar with tv's everywhere which is not my fav. However, I was crazy impressed with there happy hour. Tons of options. Both for food and drink. Had drinks from cosmos to margs all for $3. The food menu had burgers from $3 to appetizers for $1.25. Got the artichoke and spinach dip and it was really good. I guess I'm not giving more than 3 stars because it took way to long to get our drinks. Kinda harsh judgement on my part because the dude did apologize. I really do want to come back here because of the location and happy hour prices.

Is there a negative rating on here? Oh yelp, your too nice. Well first of all, credit where credit is due. You only have to wait for a second to be sitted. However bad credit where bad credit is due. SLOWEST SERVER EVER! She probably came to our table every 20 minutes. Got our drinks. 15 minutes later.... Got our appetizers. 20 minutes later. Took our order. 1 hour later. Got our entree. Seriously? -.- Entrees were horrible. Overcooked salmon, acidic grilled lemons, and liquified mashed potatoes. Newsflash! Learn to make mashed potatoes from scratch instead of buying a mashed potato powder. And clean your dishes, because my cup and dish plate were super sticky. Job not well done. I will never come back here again. Go to Orenco Station Grill, nicer ambience and way better food.

I would give less. Had dinner with my kid here...at about 8 pm...sat at the table with the three pics of Micky Mantle....waitress....server....she took for...ev..er. It look liked she hid out back...in the kitchen most of the time? Who knows...but my order was wrong, couldnot find her forever to fix it....when asked to fix it she disappeared again....never apologized...when I paid her..she said she would be back with change.....disappeared again....had to ssk the hostess to intervene.... Good god...for a Sports Bar with service...maybe the chains...Buffalo Wild Wings...is a better option. Food was ok....service.....bad.

I have been here many times and the food is ok. The service always seems kind of iffy. Went today for dinner with my wife and daughter, no one sat us (they had a sign to seat yourself) and I had to go get my own hi-chair for my daughter. Even though 3 employees watched me walk over and get the highchair, no one came over to take our drink order for another 10-15 minutes. The place was not busy and they appeared to have plenty of servers and what appeared to be a manager walking around changing channels on the TV. No excuse for having to get my own highchair or having to wait so long to get our drink order taken The food is always decent. I did ask for my burger medium and it was well done. It still tasted good just not as good as it could have been. I have been here enough times that I am comfortable giving them 3 stars. The food is always decent and the service is normally decent as well. There is nothing special about this place but it is close to my house and they have a large menu so you can always find something to try.

This is a nice quiet place to drink and watch football on a Sunday afternoon. It feels like you've walked in to a big corporate sports bar, but I don't think it is. The servers are friendly and the food isn't bad. They have a huge menu (almost the size of Cheesecake Factory), so I'm not sure what it is they do well, but the things we got were okay. They happy hour is a good deal, and from Noon to close on Sundays. Their house mixed drinks were really cheap for happy hour (I think under $4). There is a good possibility that we will be back, so maybe I'll have more stars for it with a future review.

Li'l Cooperstown is the down-to-earth Happy Hour that I have been in search of in my decade+ in Hillsboro. I appreciate quality ingredients and after work on Friday (or sometimes Wednesday), I just want a BIG beer (22 oz mondos full of your choice of micro for $5.20 during Happy Hour!) and a relaxing place to unwind, and a nice bite or two. They really have the best Happy Hour around. OK. Food. The burgers are FANTASTIC - quality meat, great cheese selections, nice greens and OHMYGOD THE BUN! THE BUN! Seriously. It's amazing. Not to thick, not to hard, not to soft... the perfect, slightly sweet taste, sesame speckled, egg-brushed top and just chewy delicious! I love the caesar salad. The fish tacos (I prefer the grilled fish) are delish and SO fresh! Really, after a solid year of dining there for evening meals, I have never been disappointed. Now, on to waitstafff... We have been served primarily by blonde women and all of them have been really kind, attentive (and not overly-so) and just all-around great and accommodating. There's a wonderful server whose name starts with a K (and I'm kicking myself for not remembering as I write this - I will edit later) and she is the best. So cute, so pleasant and cheery. Always knowledgeable of the menu and just really nice. It's a pleasure to get her - and really, none of the waitstaff have ever disappointed. I will say, I am always in the bar in a booth - I have yet to sit AT the bar, so I will report back on that experience when I do. One thing that I notice is that while it does have the potential for the feeling of a chain a la Applebees or Red Robin, it does a GREAT job of avoiding the impersonal chill of such an atmosphere. I always feel at home and I know I'm in Oregon. I'm not sure what it is, exactly - it's just an unpretentious, quality place with kind people who are poised to take care of us. A great choice, if you ask me. I really cannot think of anything that I would improve upon.

When I think of a sports bar, I think of a bar that has pictures of the local sports teams on the wall, with the occasional picture of the owner with some locally famous sports hero from the nearby directional school. Or it may be a place where a large number of fans from a specific out-of-area team, such as a bar where Steeler's fans gather in Portland. So when I saw Lil Cooperstown, I was thinking sports bar, and with the reviews on Yelp, I was thinking great burgers. Nope. This is not a sports bar. This is a bar and grill that has flat screen TVs with sports and a large number of "memorabilia" That has probably all been bought from a memorabilia outlet. Seemed too corporate...too staged. Not were someone would hang out to watch and talk sports. That's fine, but why the name Lil Cooperstown, the namesake of where the MLB Hall of Fame resides? Yeah, yeah, it isn't a sports bar. Fine. Let's move on to the food. First off, I get really suspicious of anyplace that has a large menu. Appetizers, burgers, wraps, salads, and dinner entres. Chicken Cachatore? Seriously? When I see a southwestern wrap on the same menu as Chicken Cachatore, I am almost convinced (as is my wife) that the place just serves frozen food. But one of the burgers was a Kobe beef burger...frozen Kobe beef? Huh? The wife decides to try the Kobe beef, and I have the cowboy burger. She gets a salad, and I get fries. The burger, it was definitely from frozen, but had some nice toppings. Nothing special, but a nice burger. The Kobe beef burger was very flavorful, but overcooked. That brings up another point. Anyplace that serves a burger should ask how you want it cooked. If they don't, then I wonder about the quality of the meat. The salad that my wife got did not come on the side, but in it's own dish. That fine, but it was piled high on a small oval dish, thereby guaranteeing that a good portion of the salad was going to become table fodder. My fries were OK, but clearly from frozen. Overall, the food was fine, the service was friendly, and the place was clean. But there was nothing about it that differentiated it from any other chain restaurant (local or national). For Hillsboro, it offered a nice choice for a burger, but nothing to really write home about. In short, a clean chain restaurant for people that like chain restaurants.
