I have been here for lunch twice, and I think it is a great value with very tasty food. I know it is basic, but I had the Pad Thai the most recent visit, and it was absolutely delicious. The peanut sauce was very flavorful and the portion was the perfect amount. My friend had the chicken with peanut sauce and broccoli, I am definitely going to have that on my next visit. The service was great, attentive, but not to much. On the back of the menu they have all of their lunch specials, the price was perfect were very reasonable. If your in the area for lunch try this place!

My coworkers and I eat here at least once a month, and today I grabbed a take-out order. While waiting, I read their yelp reviews for the first time. I was suprised what a low overall score they received (some of the reviews were written for the previous owners). It has always been consistently solid. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful, and the large front windows provide the best view in town. The portions are not huge, but adequate. Everything is tasty and authentic. My favorites are the Spicy Basil and Phad Kee Mao, but you really can't go wrong here. Definitely our favorite lunch spot in town.

Jasmine Thai Cuisine is located in downtown Hillsboro near the courthouse and the Hillsboro Civic Center. Their menu features items like soups, salads, curries, rice, noodles, appetizers, and specials. From the outside Jasmine Thai Cuisine looks like a very hospitable restaurant. Unfortunately for us Jasmine Thai Cuisine's hospitality ended at the door. Upon entering we were accosted by two young ladies who wanted to know if we were dining in or ordering take out. They actually seemed disappointed that we were dining in and asked us to sit wherever we wanted. After a long wait one of the ladies brought us some water and menus. After another long wait someone shouted from the kitchen area, "Are you ready to order?" We said that we were and then curiously she never came to our table. Jasmine Thai Cuisine didn't care if we received food and they didn't care when we got up and walked out. Instead we ended up down the street at the Venetian where they took fantastic care of us. As we walked back to the car we could see that Jasmine Thai Cuisine was empty. With the way they treated us we could understand why. If you really didn't want to have customers then you would conduct business the way Jasmine Thai Cuisine did that evening. Have always been a fan of Thai cuisine. Lucky for us there are two Thai restaurants on Main Street in downtown Hillsboro. Until I hear of improvements at Jasmine Thai Cuisine I will be patronizing Thai House.

Came in for lunch. Were seated in the back where we joked we would probably be forgotten about. Waited and waited and waited for someone to take our order. Finally we couldn't wait anymore and stood up to go and order at the front counter. No one acknowledged us there so we headed back to our table only to observe the waitress taking orders from the table of 10 that arrived after us. As we were sitting down we were practically yelled at by the server for standing up and going to the window. We were ordered to sit down. Once we sat she took our order. Um... The service wasn't the only bad thing. My friend and I both ordered Phad Thai with chicken. Mild for me and medium for her. Mine was fine. It tasted pretty good and was mild. My friend's was way hotter than a normal 'medium' and she was only able to eat about half of it. Slow to run our check and overall terrible service. Only about $7 for the lunch special, so the prices were good. They do offer an avocado curry that I was curious about and with limited options in Hillsboro I have to say I might someday end up going back...maybe...but then again probably not.

This is a decent Thai restaurant in downtown Hillsboro. We had a couple of noodle dishes and they were tasty. Service was pretty slow when we went there. I know Tuesday market was going on, but the place wasn't that busy and the two dishes didn't come at the same time. Really!! There's another Thai place that's fairly close to this one and based on my recollection, I think I'd pick this one as having a bit better flavor.

I'd walk by Jasmine Thai regularly, and look at the menu posted outside. Everything looked delicious. I finally went in one day when they weren't busy and had one of the best meals I've ever eaten, as well as some of the best service. The restaurant isn't too small but it's not huge either. I'd say it's the perfect size for any business in the area, and it had a great atmosphere with the decorations, colors and fish tank near the entrance. The place was immaculate when it came to cleanliness as well. I don't know if she's the owner, but the woman that served us was friendly, had a great personality and didn't overdo anything with how she did her job. She was very helpful in suggesting dishes, giving advice on how hot Thai food can get compared to others, and more. I had the pineapple fried rice, and it was so good that I almost ordered another plate. Take your standard fried rice, but with some pieces of pineapple to add some zing. The flavor wasn't overpowering, which honestly, I would've been fine with if it was. Everything in the dish was cooked perfectly. Normally I'm a picky eater and if there's something I don't care much for mixed in with the fried rice, like onions, I take them out. Here? NOPE. I plowed through that thing like Zuckerman's Famous Pig. This was a pretty basic dish when you get down to it, and I'm sure I'll demolish a bigger one just as fast. When everything was gone, the waitress asked if we'd like dessert. I was full but just had to give one more thing a shot. They have a good selection of things, mainly ice cream dishes. I went with a simple vanilla ice cream they had and..it was huge. I wasn't ready for that thing. Listen to me when I tel you that you get what you pay for here. Big time! And it's not even that expensive either! If I had the money to eat out all the time, this would be my go-to place. It's in a perfect location, especially during the summer, being right next to the fountains, and they even do carry-out if you can't stay. Forget all the other restaurants around here- go to Jasmine Thai Cuisine before any of them. If this place closed down, I'd be crushed. It's the elephant to my Tony Jaa.
(5)Liss B.
Red curry is delicious and the spice level is spot on. My only complaint would be that the portions are smaller than other thai places for the same price. I've ordered take out from here twice and didn't regret it either time. Service is fast and friendly.
(4)Lindsay H.
Service was great-- never an empty drink, the servers were so polite, the food was delicious! I ordered a cashew nut chicken with brown rice-- loved the spice, the pineapple, the veggies. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick and tasty lunch!
(5)Jeff S.
Food was good but the soup tasted a little like dish water. The soup bowl they draw it from looked very unclean. I heard they received a bad rating from a mystery diner from a local TV channel around this same time.
(1)Alice H.
Tasty and good. Healthy wonton soup and my husband got the special. Ample seating, friendly service. Love how they accept Intel's passport discount.
(4)Amber M.
I was so lazy the other day. I didn't want to drive anywhere for food. Let alone cook. Heck no, I was content sitting on couch, iPad in hand, glass of Pinot in the other, feet up, dogs at lap, husband doing the same next to me. Sub Pinot for Tecate though. It was one of those days. Let's do delivery! Okay! Fun! No pizza though...gross. But um...pizza are the only ones who deliver...or Chinese but we are out of their "zone". So I happily googled D-Dish, and whalah! Thai food at my door! :D what a sight. I could do Thai at my door every day!! So here's what you need to know about Jasmine Thai: They actually do deliver, but only dinner. And they have a 3 mile radius of delivery area. They will go slightly out of radius, but they will charge 3.00 extra. They have a not so nice of a lady on the phone, or in person. Just...how do you say it...grumpy. The three times I saw/talked to her she was irritable and cranky. So I gather it's just her personality. I think she wanted to chuck the chili sauce at my face because I asked for three of them. She didn't like that. Food was a solid three star. Though pad kee mao was 4. I love that they put cabbage in it, and their sauce was thinner then other places. I like that. Yum. Oh and their hot oil was one of the best I've had. The tom kha soup had tomatoes in it...husband didn't like that. Didn't feel or taste right. I agree. Place is easy access right off main st in Hillsboro, directly across from the courthouse. Street parking. Probably hard to get into during lunchtime though. I will order from them again thru D-Dish as only them and Thai elephant are my selections through them. And I do rate Jasmine stronger then Elephant. Btw it is cheaper to deliver through ddish since we are out if their "area". But that will vary on where you live. Anyways, so we did enjoy a good meal on the fly sitting our butts at home. Now if only I could get my Starbucks delivered....
(3)Raj M.
We have been here a few times and always left very happy Good food -As a previous reviewer mentioned , salad rolls and peanut sauce are awesome Spicy mango stir fry and Tom kha were delicious .Above all service was very good .Attentive ,pleasant staff .This is one of my favorite thai places in Beaverton -Hillsboro area.Would Parking might be an issue during lunch time
(4)Holly D.
We love the food and the owner. She's so sweet and always remembers us. Always a great experience.
(5)Kyra S.
I have never had a bad meal here, but I don't think it is outstanding either. I usually have a noodle dish (pad thai or pad see ew) and they are a little on the oily side, but they do have really good flavor. I also like that they use fresh veggies that aren't cooked to death. I have actually had under-cooked broccoli before. Overall a solid thai place if I am close by but wouldn't drive a long distance to eat here.
(3)Summer B.
The setting is sort of romantic, and the food is fantastic. I love the serving size and the fact that they don't skimp on the Thai iced coffee (great after a meal). I highly recommend the Beef basil, Pad Thai, and where possible try the Mango and sweet sticky rice desert (again with a strong Thai iced coffee or tea). The space may be a tad bit small, but really we don't need enough room to do somersaults. Hope to see you there!
(5)Rachel K.
I went to this restaurant @ an odd time. It was raining like hell on a Saturday and Hubby & I were the only customers there. That said my review will be skewed since I didn't go during rush hour and we got the best service we could. I ordered Pad Thai, and I would give it 4.5 stars based on its taste and 5 stars for presentation. All the other local restaurants have a strong taste of egg in their Pad Thai and that I hate! Husband had Basil Chicken(can't remember the exact name) which was pretty flavorful as well. At the end we ordered sticky Rice Mango dessert, and the owner threw in some fried banana for free :) They really do take the time in their presentation. No other hillsboro Thai restaurant has convinced me for a second visit, except for this one (especially since Thai elephant has gone down in food quality). My first impression when I walked in: an extremely clean restaurant full of lovely plants and every single leaf has been cleaned and is shinning. The restrooms however were nasty(all of them), but that will not prevent me from going to the restaurant again. Excited to try their Chicken Satay.
(4)Kate P.
I am reviewing the food only, I have not experienced the restaurant itself. We ordered through Delivered Dish last night despite the so-so reviews because we didn't particularly like the other Thai options available. We got pork mussaman curry - medium, the crab and cheese puffs, some brown rice, and the salad rolls. Everything was pretty bland. The crab and cheese puffs were different - people usually make them with imitation crab and I'm pretty sure these were made with real... which should be a bonus but they tasted a tad fishy and were over stuffed so kind of difficult to eat. You could tell they meant well... The brown rice was a blend I've never seen before but not terrible... The salad rolls were also bland... I don't know how you mess up a salad roll... everything was fresh and looked nice, maybe it was just the blandness of the peanut sauce. The curry was watery and a little sweeter than we're used to, and definitely not a medium level spicy typical of the area. More like a two out of five than a three. Given how not spicy everything was, I cannot explain the level of gastric discomfort we experienced last night. I don't think it was good poisoning or anything... but... ouch. Will most likely not be ordering from here again... unless desperate and trying something else...
(2)Paulo D.
The owner use to work at rama Thai in Beaverton and this must be her new location. I loved their pad Thai, tom yum, and pad see eu! She is very friendly and their prices are decent to the serving size. My favorite Thai place in the area!
(5)Ali P.
The food, the atmosphere, and the quality of service were all top notch in my book. We had our busy 4-yr-old with us and even she loved the food and was treated with special care. So happy we tried it! My husband doesn't love Thai, but still had a great experience and had some pork fried rice! Can't wait to go back.
(5)Will M.
Good for lunch. Large portions size.
(3)Leslie E.
I think this place solidly deserves a 3...i almost wish i could rate it better, but *overall* it was middle-of-the-road. The service by itself would deserve 5 stars. My waiter was so nice! He was super attentive and even though his English wasn't super strong he was joking with me a little and made me laugh. When my iPhone died he even let me borrow his cell phone to call my ride! I felt very grateful. If the rating was based purely on service alone it would be a 5+! Even the lady who was cooking smiled genuinely and beamingly when she walked out of the kitchen at one point. It made a great impression! I was there on a weekday for the lunch special. For about $6-8 you get a portion that is about the perfect size for lunch. I got green vegetable curry with squid for myself and some pad thai for my boyfriend. The Green Vegetable Curry was okay but not great. The vegetables were all very fresh, crisp and tasty. Sadly the squid was overcooked to a rubbery texture. I know squid is kind of hit or miss because it is difficult to do right...but at the same time it is one of my favorite things when done right so i often will try it at a new place as sort of a litmus test. Based on the squid alone this dish failed. The green curry sauce was had a nice flavor to it but was also somehow a bit bland, underdeveloped and not at ALL spicy. I had to add more of the spicy dried peppers than i have at any other Thai place. But after spicing it up it was delicious, minus the crappy squid. Echoing what some others have said the Pad Thai was a little weird, however I liked it. The sauce flavor is not what i have come to expect from your standard Pad Thai, but i liked it a lot...it was less peanutty and more citrusy. As opposed to what someone said in a prior review i thought the amount of peanuts, carrots and bean sprouts on top was quite generous and fresh tasting. Even though i was pleased with the Pad Thai i was still left feeling that it really wasn't the best i've had. All in all it was a positive visit but the food was not memorable. I would never go out of my way to go to this restaurant, but if i have to go to Small Claims Court again (which is literally right across the street) i would consider stopping by for more unusual Pad Thai and friendly service.

The owners were great, and very friendly folks. We had take-out so we didn't have a service, but I suspect it's pretty good based on their attitude. ' For food, I got Beef Pad Thai and Egg Rolls, and Kristina got Tofu Red Curry. The Egg Rolls were fried, as I requested. The flavor on it's innards was a bit overwhelmed by the fried wrapper, but still tasty. The Beef Pad Thai was so-so, also a bit on the greasy side, and the beef was pretty much in-edible, so I picked it out. I think I'll go vegetarian on it next time. All in all it tasted alright, nothing unexpected, nothing terrific. The Red Curry was good, if a tad bland. I expect a bit more heat from this kind of curry. Being downtown I'm guessing this place gets a decent lunch crowd, and possibly the food is a bit fresher during that time of day.

I have been to Jasmine Thai a handful of times within the past 5 months. I've dined in for lunch, I've gotten food to go, and my company even placed a larger to-go order from here for a celebratory lunch. Every one of my experiences has been A-okay, and I've never had complaints! 1) Dine-in: BF and I stopped in for a late lunch around 2pm, so it was pretty quiet. The table decor (flowers floating in water glasses) was lovely. The waitress was very attentive and prompt with us. I believe we both got the cashew chicken, and it was delicious! It was a reasonable price for the portion and had a perfect kick for having ordered medium spicy, and we left happy campers. 2) To-go: I've gotten lunch to go from here 4 or 5 times, and they are always so fast in preparing my order! Generally around 5 minutes, and everything is always nicely packaged and still steaming. Waiters are always friendly and willing to accommodate any special packaging requests. The food has all been very satisfying. 3) Group order: We placed a lunch order to-go for about 8 people, all different dishes. They said the food would be ready for pick-up in 15 minutes. I got there about 12 minutes later and everything was all ready, packaged nicely and placed in a box for ease of carrying. They even threw in some coupons for a free appetizer with purchase of dinner entree. The order was all correct and everyone was really happy with their dishes. I have been to the vast majority of Thai restaurants in Hillsboro and Beaverton, and this one holds its own, at least in the few dishes I've tried from them (Pad Thai, Green Curry, Pad Se Ew, Cashew Chicken) and in service. It seems they underwent a change of ownership some months ago, so I can't make any comparisons to how it used to be, but I recommend it!

Great food! Friendly owners...and cute, cozy atmosphere. Lots of food for a great price.
(4)Greg D.
Great service. The food is decent.
(2)Valerie P.
We had a wonderful meal with excellent service this Sunday night. We asked for the Thai fried rice ASAP for our hungry two-year old, and were promptly served it a few minutes later. We also enjoyed the red curry and huge portion of Tom Yum soup. Everything was just the right amount of spice and heat. The owner even brought some cake to our son, free of charge. We will definitely be back to Jasmine Thai.
(5)Jeffery S.
I normally find it hard to find something that I like from a Thai restaurant, but this place is AMAZING!! The BBQ Pork is fantastic and the Jasmine Chicken and Lemon Chicken are just as good! The new owners are extremely nice also. I've already found myself going back and inviting friends! Job well done!
(5)Mark S.
Very friendly staff and great BBQ pork and lemon chicken. Will definitely be back.

With a heavy heart, I have to redo my review. Apparently, Jasmine Thai was sold and the new owners have tossed out everything we loved about it. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Not a good sign. I got my usual dumplings, and they were like dried cardboard in a wonton wrapper. They were smaller and the fried ones were fried within an inch of their lives. Ick. They changed the tom yum recipe. My favorite menu items, house fried rice and the shrimp/bacon/omelet dish I mentioned in my last review, are gone. And on top of that, no more free egg rolls. The food we got was greasy, cheaply made, and just not at all good. I'm sorry, guys, we'll never eat there again.

Today was my first visit for lunch with a buddy. It wasn't crowded, and our service was nice. We started with the combination appetizer plate - fried wontons, fried dumpling, fried tofu and egg rolls; with plum sauce. Nothing outstanding (wontons needed more filling, egg rolls were a little mushy inside - potato like texture). I ordered Spicy Noodles and it was amazing!! Those alone, I should give it 5 stars. Brought home left over for my wife and she agreed. My buddy ordered Spicey Basil Leaves - it was good, but not great. I'll go again and try some of the other dishes. Giving it a 3-star rating for now - there are some great Thai places out there, so I'll look forward to trying some of their other dishes.

I went here for the first time about a year ago and I was not impressed. Had I rated this place back then it would probably be two stars. My co-worker told me to give them another chance, and I am so glad I did everything I have gotten recently has been excellent. I really liked the red curry, the green curry and the ginger chicken or ginger pork. I think next think I will try is the spicy eggplant.

Went back today hoping that place would redeem itself for the poor service/attitude/food quality from before. Walked in with a friend. Waited for about 5 minutes before the server even acknowledged us. When we said we wanted to get food to go he replied, "No, no food to go. Too busy for you." And to you sir I say, "No, never coming back. Too good for you."

Found this restaurant on a whim, decided to try it because a) i love thai food and b) the name was interesting and caught my eye. I have had the pad thai twice and it's delicious.

Good food and service at this small restaurant in old town hillsboro. This place is located next to the hillsboro civic center on main street. I went here for lunch and ordered a yellow chicken curry. The service was good and the server was very friendly. I got my food in about 15 to 20 minutes. The quality was good (nothing overcooked or out of the freezer) and the flavor was good. I ordered it medium spicy and it was not extremely hot. They gave me an adequate amount of rice and the entree portion was typical for lunch. The place appeared clean and it seemed like maybe it was recently remodeled. The last health inspection on 9/19/08 got them an 81 out of 100. Not the greatest score. The prices were similar to other thai restaurants in the area for lunch. Overall i think this is a good place to eat and i will go back.

I cannot recommend this place. Wow - I stopped in at 1 o'clock on a weekday afternoon and there wasn't a person in the place. That should have been my first clue. I ordered fried wontons as an appetizer. I got greasy fried wonton skins, with oil literally dripping off them still. Inside, instead of the usual wonton mixture was a slice of something. A slice of something. I do not know what it was. I had ordered the cashew chicken and asked them to hold the pineapple. When my plate was delivered to me, they had managed to withhold the pineapple, as well as the cashews....from my cashew chicken. It was unmemorable; the chicken was a little chewy. I will not be going back again.

I'm really torn about this place. The people were really nice--like, you're the queen and I'm here to serve you, nice! Of course, we were the only people in the whole place! I had the Pad Thai--I thought I would be safe and order something that is good pretty much everywhere--wrong, it was the strangest pad thai I have ever had. It was almost like rice noodles with orange chicken mixed together, the whole thing was orange, there were no peanuts, no bean sprouts...very, very weird. Of course my fiance had the lemon chicken-- now, he is the white guy in the Asian restaurant who always orders the sweet & sour chicken! No offense to you sweet & sour chix lovers, but to me, there are a LOT of other super yummy things to order --anyway, back to the lemon chicken--98% of the time I hate lemon chicken, it's done like sweet & sour chicken, battered, fried and smothered with sauce--yuck! BUT there is a Chinese lemon chix that is amazing & I am always a sucker & try it only to be burned & end up staring longingly at whatever everyone else has! So he orders the lemon chicken and it was AMAZING!!! SO good! 1 star for the orange pad thai 5 stars for the lemon chix
