worst ihop i've ever been to in my life! terrible food, terrible service! i've been here a lot over the years since i only live 5 mins away and i've noticed nothing but high employee turnover, inconsistency, and bad managing over the years! i love ihop, but this is the worst one i've ever been too. you're lucky to get good food & service 10% of the time, if that! the beaverton location is the best ihop i've ever been to in my life and it's definitely worth the extra 20 min drive! if you want excellent food & service, go there! they're always consistent! just get there early or call ahead on weekends though because if you don't, you'll have an hour+ wait to be seated as the line is always out the door and you'll be waiting 30-60 min for your food, but it's worth it!! beaverton ihop is the best!!!

Food is ok- what you'd expect from a chain- but the service is absolutely horrible!! The first time we went we sat for 25 minutes at a table next to the server station, and still did not even get asked for our drink order!! Thought we'd try again a few weeks ago, and the service was just as bad. I'm pretty sure our waiter was high. We ended up being there over 1-1/2 hours, our orders were wrong, I never got a refill, and to "fix" our crappy service they took 20% off our bill, which was about $3. Never going back. Ever.

I do not frequent IHOP as it is relatively far from where I live and in the opposite direction that I routinely travel. I am an avid Hulu+ watcher and have seen many a commercial for the new double dipped french toast. I LOVE strawberries and lemon and have recently been craving french toast. My craving got the best of me yesterday and I decided to make the drive to my closest IHOP, the location off Cornell in Hillsboro. We were seated by the hostess and had to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to come over and ask if we wanted a beverage. When it came time to order, I attempted to get the strawberry double dipped french toast and was told that they were out of the lemon whip topping. This is a promotion that is pushed in the media, there is a sign for it on the outside of the building and yet another sign in the entry way. If you are going to push a promotion, you should have enough of the product to meet demand. If you do not have the product, they should at least remove the promotional signage in the specific restaurant. I decided to pass on the french toast (which was my whole reason for coming) and attempted to order the chicken and waffles. I was then told they were out of chicken strips. Really? 2 for 2. Come to find out, they were also out of onion rings. There was signage on the table displaying the chicken along with the slogan "We've got all your cravings covered". Not today, clearly. Again, if you do NOT have the product, the signage should be removed. Additionally, once we did order our food, it took forever to receive. Additionally, there were 3 ladies working yet only one seemed to be taking orders and actually working. That lady seemed extremely stressed out. Overall, it was a pretty poor experience from the customer side and I would have a hard time voluntarily returning.

Our service has been great every time we've gone here. I wish I could remember our server's name last night-she was polite, kind, on top of things, and patient with our noisy daughters. Our 6 year old asked for a kitty cat face on her pancakes and she was so happy when that's what our server brought her. The food was yummy like usual. We come here for every family birthday so whoevers birthday it is can get free pancakes. Last night was my turn for free pancakes. :) It's now a family tradition and I love the little memories we make here. Great place. Thank you IHOP!

I haven't been to IHOP in years, but met a friend here for breakfast. When we arrived we were greeted and seated in a timely manor. As I was reviewing the menu, I noticed the calorie counts on menu items... OMG!!! Not what I wanted to see. I started feeling self conscious of selecting a breakfast item. I probably normally would have selected the chicken fried steak, but after seeing it was the highest caloric count on the menu, chose to steer clear of that. Damn you caloric notice! 1750 calories is more than 1/2 a normal person's daily allowance :-( Seriously, after honing in on the spinach omlet with fruit (330 calories), I also asked the server, "can I get hashbrowns with that?" Then, realized that the hashbrowns were 420 calories... OMG... Seriously? I give up, I'm taking them anyway... During my menu struggle, my friend was texting his co-worker and he said his co-worker told us to stay away from the left-side of the menu... Oh Damn, my friend had ordered a sampler, which consisted of primarily the left-side of the menu... OUCH!... LOL. Overall, the food was decent, but not really memorable, but the service was good and the price was fair. Overall Rating: 70% Service: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5

How could I struggle with a review of IHOP? I do. Not for the food, I think everyone knows what they are getting into when you eat here. My eggs over easy and hash browns were just fine. My bit of advice? If you go here, do not vary your order from how they make it. I made the mistake of ordering those banana nut french toast things without the caramel sauce, whip cream and banana slices. Boy, that was a mistake! Whatever the banana nut french toast things are that hide under that stuff, butter and syrup could not fix. So what do I really want to rant about? Corporate service skill homogenization. This is going on at my work, too, which makes me sneer. They are fast getting to the point where they can take a pin headed troglodyte, fill them with enough "scripts" and electroshock treatment, and get something that appears like warmth and hospitality. The server here introduces itself and its assistant that are there to serve us today. Proper hand motions introduce us to the blue sky, sun and the daily specials. Swarms of animatronic serverettes twirl and point on service steel toed shoes whilst others do back flips to our table and ask how we are enjoying our repast. The only thing marring this weird effect is the sound of the kitchen window expeditor barking commands and presenting opportunities to excel even more to the slow or to the ones stopping to breathe or those trying to unfreeze their facial muscles. MIL thought this was marvelous and recommended that I pay this circus team 10% and round up for their tip, the service was so good! I just tossed a large bill with the hope that I was contributing to a Coyote to help them escape. Orwell was right, he just got the dates mixed up and didn't think of a pancake house. Flee! Find somewhere with real people. South Store Cafe is more than close enough to avoid this! I'm giving it a pity 2 star even though the number should be far south of this.

Since I got a new job, we figured we'd go to a celebratory dinner we chose IHOP, that was apparently a terrible idea. The hostess that seated us appeared drunk and yelled at us from the back. She then seated the 3 of us with 2 menus. After that, the waitress came to get our drink order 7 minutes later. She got my sister the wrong beverage and returned with the correct one a few minutes later. We asked for straws and she set unwrapped picnic straws on the bare table for us. Why we didn't leave now, I don't know. About 10 minutes after ordering our food, our waitress asked if we needed refills, evaluated the levels of our drinks and then answered for us. We apparently did not meet the required thirsty level to qualify for a refill. We finally got our food nearly an hour after we arrived. I got the Garden Omelette with hash browns. My omelette was alright; not cold, but I wouldn't consider it warm. An my hash browns were slightly frozen in the middle. I asked for a fresher plate which seemed to piss off the waitress. The second batch tasted fresh but it was half the size of the first. It took another 10 minutes to get the bill which came to almost $50. Old Chicago would have been a much better choice.

Depending on what you order, I'm sure the food can be really good or ho-hum. For the most part I've enjoyed everything I've ordered but I typically just go for the tried and true ham and cheese omelet with New York cheesecake pancakes. The boyfriend found them to be too sweet but I think they are just right. He wasn't impressed with his eggs Benedict but really loved the steak tips. The seating setup is a little awkward and the wait staff is only moderately attentive but it's cheap breakfast food so it's to be expected.

Not impressed. Food was like all the other food chains, slow to get our food, and they squeeze too many people in an area with not enough servers. Won't be going back.

Service deserves 5 stars. I took my mom & my granddaughter there last week (Apr. 1) for breakfast before her school started. We parked in disabled spot for my mom. Server spotted us and opened the emergency exit door so we wouldn't have to walk around. He was very courteous and attentive to our needs the whole time we were there. We ordered blueberry pancakes and choc. chip pancakes and we all got eggs, hash browns and meat. Everything tasted good and was cooked to perfection. We didn't have to wait long to order or to get our food.

iHop has gone down hill since the 90s. Food is very bland and dry. not sure if its the 300 pound woman who sue made them change this or not. I'm not impressed at all.

Intel discount (w/Vault card), this place can get pretty cramped in the morning. The breakfast is nothing special to me but consistent, reminds me of what Olive Garden is to Italian food.

Oh Todd. It's not THAT bad. IHOP is definitely not the best place in town for a good breakfast, but it's everything it advertises. Cheap, simple, and fast. I can't complain. They are really the only place you can go that will let you have a sit down breakfast and still make it to work on time. ------------S

I normally would not write a review for a place like IHOP. I mean, an IHOP is an IHOP is an IHOP anywhere. Plus, I had vowed never to eat at an IHOP ever again. The last 2 times before this time, I could barely stomache the food, it was just tasteless. But my mom really likes IHOP, so I tried to do the good daughter thing and spend a little quality time with my mom once a week or so, and IHOP is where she wanted to go. My mother recently passed away, and that was another reason I didn't want to go. It just brought up memories, and I knew I would have difficulty dealing with it. Anyways, the guys I work with wanted to start going out to breakfast once every couple of weeks or so. It's really difficult to find a place that opens up early enough for us. We work graveyard shift, and get off work at 5:45am. This particular IHOP opens up at 6am, which works out great for us, if you factor the car drive over. There is already a breakfast group that heads over to IHOP every week. Our group was invited by someone from that group, so we decided to join forces...I mean dine with them. We were the first customers of the day. As soon as we arrived, the guy on duty unlocked the door for us. The guy I carpool with happened to know him. That was cool, since they haven't seen each other in a few years. He was the host that seated us, he was the guy that waited on us. He informed us that there was only one cook on duty, so it might take a little while to get our food. No problem, we, or I should say "the guys" are really good at entertaining ourselves. Our waiter's name was Kevin, and I have to say he's awesome! He made a point to learn everyone's name. It looks like our group that has been going every week, knows him, and vice versa. He takes the group's banter in stride, and also joined in at times. He was very efficient. As soon as you are seated, he asks what you would like to drink, and is quick to bring it out. As more and more of our group joined, he would greet them by name. And I have to point out, even though there was only one cook on duty, it didn't take that long till our food started to show up! I ended up ordering something totally different than what I would normally order for breakfast. My usuals are omelets or eggs benedict. But since IHOP is the International House of Pancakes...I decided to go with the Double Blueberry Pancakes. This came with an egg, choice of breakfast meat and hashbrowns. I have to say, that everything was really delicious and plentiful. Well, maybe the exception of the bacon...it was pretty wimpy bacon...but other than that, was great! So it looks like I'll be going back to dine with my fellow co-workers again in the near future!

This is a bit of late review. Went there earlier this year with family and well, it wasn't too great. Had to ask twice to get dirty silverware exchanged. The belgian waffle came out so cold that the butter didn't melt. Actually, it looked like it had been around for an hour or two before it came out. I kind of think that IHOP is past its prime. There are some good items, but, I'm not sure I want chance it. The manager did come out and applogize to us and comped the waffle, but still the overall experience wasn't great. Don't think we'll be back.

Cheese Wiz in the omlets? I never heard of that one untill I ate here. Kinda gross. Other items are not to shabby. I go for the specials. It gets busy on the weekends -B

I guess it has been a long time since I have been to a breakfast joint. When did the prices get so high? Why would a side of hashbrowns be as much as a five pound bag of potatoes? Since when does it cost two and a half bucks for one glass of juice? Two people eat breakfast for 25 bucks. For that, I regretted passing up the bacon egg and cheese buscuit at McDs. But dont think that my rating is based soley on the price. I have some qualms with the quality of the food itself. The hash browns had a very odd flavor that I could never place. Perhaps it was the oil, or margarine they used to cook them in. The syrup was also wierd tasting. To complete the trifecta, the bacon was unlike any other bacon I have consumed. It wasnt all bad. The french toast was quite good, and they got the egg right., but it just wasnt enough to outweigh my disappointment with the rest of it. I dont know if I will ever darken the door of another IHOP.

Came in Tuesday evening and got treated very nice by a friendly services. I wonder why this place gets 2,5 stars when they have pretty much standard expectations from the customers. We order strawberries lemon with bread. It was not too sour from the lemon and the strawberries weren't too sweet at all. The bread was just baked so I could taste the crunchy. Watermelon lemonade is totally worth a shot to try. The food is good and I don't think people should complain too much about their food. Definitely will come back since I live around this area

Besides the fake/cream(?) cheese in the middle of my ham and cheese omelette, which basically changes the flavor and ruined it, and my way over-done hash browns the food was ok. IHOP - quit trying to be edgy and cool, your food was fine until you messed it up!
