Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I started the meal with a bowl of hot & sour soup. Excellent, and it had just the right amount of heat for me. Service was quite pleasant. Instead of the usual beef with broccoli, I asked for chicken with broccoli - had no problem with the substitution. We weren't that hungry, so we ordered the Chen's special fried rice. OMG, the servings were so huge we had leftovers for lunch the next day. There were so many extra ingredients in the fried rice that we were looking for the rice - a good thing! The chicken and broccoli was nicely seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The chicken was tender, and the fresh broccoli cooked but still crunchy. We were served a crisp fortune cookie at the end of the meal. And BTW I asked for hot sauce, and they had the real sambal oelek stuff as a condiment. I'm always skeptical about the authenticity of Chinese restaurants outside major cities with Chinatowns, but this place is worth the visit. If I'm in the area I'll definitely go back.

Good food. Great prices. I'm giving in only 3 stars though because of horrible, slow, incompetent wait staff, bad parking, poorly stocked bathroom, etc. I have certainly had worse but also had better. For hermiston though this great food.

Wouldn't go there was treated poorly by the waitstaff. Won't name any names. Food wasn't that good either. This place doesn't deserve a star at all.

Truly the best Chinese food I've ever had! I'm from out of state and EVERY time I'm in hermiston I come to Chen's!! I've yet to find a place that compares where I live. I would suggest general tso's chicken, house noodles, crab puffs, pork fried rice. I've never ordered anything that disappointed me! LOVE Chen's and the great service they provide!!

I'm sorry, but I literally won't feed this food to my dog. We ordered the c. Combination meal, which came with: bbq pork, and egg roll, two chicken wings, crab rangoon, choice of soup and three main dishes ( general tso's, almond chicken and beef w/ broccoli) and fried rice. The only thing that we could actually stomach was the beef and broccoli, it was a home run in terms of taste...but the rest was an abomination. And for being a Tuesday night, it was packed, so we assumed it would be great food...we assumed wrong! Even the fortune cookies tasted like crap. And I love chinese food. Never again, ok maybe for the beef and broccoli lol, but that's it.

Iv been all over the country. I like Chinese food. I order the same 2 things everywhere I go. Pork fried, sweet and sour chicken. Chen's does it best and my family and I sit in and take out often enough. Can't say much more but if you Chinese this place truly satisfies.

Poor serve and lunch special chow mein is not chow mein at all. It's weird crunchy noodles. Do not recommend.

The hot and sour soup was a Great start. It was delicious. The curry beef was also good. However we were soon disappointed. The sweet and sour chicken was ok but the pork fried rice and almond chicken were awful. Customer service was non existent from the moment we walked in the door.

Once a month or so we order 30-35 dollars worth of take out from here! They are excellent, fast, tasty, and always seems fresh. The spring rolls have a hint of nutmeg or all-spice I can't figure out which one. They aren't the friendliest waiting staff (even on a take out order), but the food is always spot on. Since I don't eat in I don't have a problem. If you want great food, decent prices, and want it in 15 mins this is definitely the way to go. Always keep a menu on hand for quick ordering over the phone :) P.S. They also passed their inspection with flying colors I couldn't help but notice in the news paper that always puts my mind at ease too LOL.

I love coming here for Chinese food! Been on of my favorites for the past 8 years. I stick to my usual, sweet and sour chicken, pork friend rice and subgum lol. Very delicious egg flower soup. They have added a bar/slot machine area but I haven't gone into that room. Service is ok but it used to be better...

While the wait was too long for noodles, the Chen's Special Noodles was good. Definitely on my list, though not lunch on a work day.

The food was 2.5 stars and their service was borderline 2 stars and I'm being very generous here. The chicken Lo Mein was definitely good. I couldn't get enough of their sweet and sour chicken. Overall decent Chinese food. The service: I don't appreciate it when people snap at me when I ask a reasonable question like, "Can you change out the chow mein for lo mein in your combo meal?" Server: ugh, rolls her eyes, NO NO NO we can't do that. "Ok simma down!" All I ask is for a respectful tone. I'd come back but probably only for take-out.
