Came in for quick take out and when we told the server she said "Thank goodness". She showed us a menu and we ordered. The chef handed us our sushi on the plates and we had to then scoop and drop our sushi into the take out containers. Maybe I'm just not used to this kind of place but normally takeout is put together by the servers, but I could just be being picky. The quality of the food was barely above that of grocery store sushi and actually Wegmans has better. I'm not going back there.

Unsure of to-date service. --7/13/14-- Not recommended for the avid sushi fan/snob. The food that was meant to be warm was NOT, at all. Due to the fact that they make a bunch of food that just piles up on the track. The inari was the best part. The service is nice but the quality of food is lacking. It was okay..but I will not go back.

Thank You Ryan for your heart felt apology and your well wishes. I do want people to know this is not the normal day in your restaurant. My husband and I have been coming there since you opened and we love the food. In fact we will be back again. I just felt that the staff needed to be more careful in their cleanup. Although my injuries are minor an older person could have broken bones. I am pleased that you are are taking measures to make sure this doesn't happen again. Again Thank you Ryan for the apology. Liz.

Great place if you love cockroaches. Came in here for lunch and been here few times before nothing special but today's lunch included cockroaches roaming around the table, if you're into that exotic kind thing - enjoy

Not much variety here. I guess I should've followed the stars rating according to yelp. Its true. Definitely a 2 out of 5 star rated sushi conveyor belt restaurant. Reasons: lacked unique variety. Pretty much a majority of the specialty rolls had imitation crab salad in it. The sushi plate covers were blurry, worn down and over used. Seating needs to be updated, felt very old and needed some revamping. Felt very bored with the selection they had. Positives: the staff was awesome and very friendly. Including the sushi chefs, caught their glances and they smiled. Servers were great too. Spicy tuna roll okay, decent. Baked mussels, good, flavorful, I would ease up on the amount of sauce they put on there, a little overwhelming. Smoked salmon nigiri with the cream cheese onion sauce was really delightful. Loved their pink ginger and wasabi paste. Imitation crab gunkan, decent. Wouldn't come again though, unless they did a major menu revamp. good luck.

I came on at 4:00 on a Thursday, the place was fully staffed but not even half full of customers. I sat and waited, and waited and waited. I had to ask for water and gluten free soy sauce, which was shoved at me with ill grace (and no I was most certainly not rude when I asked). I asked the person who gave me the water if she could take an order she didn't have time. No one ever came to take my order. It got two stars because the sushi was decent. Service would be zero stars.

Decent sushi fare. Reasonable prices. No cockroaches. If you see cockroaches or bed bugs, please check and make sure it didn't come off of you. Been coming here for 5+ years and never had a problem. We always do the Calamari.

Sushi tracks generally have a bad reputation. At least with me they do. There is something about all that raw fish rotating around on a belt for hours on end that just doesn't seem right. So when we decided to eat here one afternoon (out of sheer convenience and not wanting to look for another parking spot anywhere) I wasn't exactly expecting much. I am happy to report it was better than expected. The amount of edamame you get on a plate (the cheapest colored plate I might add) was enough to make this experience worthwhile. I can get that same amount of edamame at a local, more upscale, dining establishment for about 3x the price. And it was good quality stuff too! The sushi was so-so. Nothing that knocked my socks off, but also nothing that required spitting out either. The meal was quick and super affordable. And I'm not gonna lie... it is a little fun to pick the plates off the belt. It reminds me of that train on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. Except not as creepy. If you are in the area and need something quick and affordable, this might be your spot. I don't think you'll leave feeling too upset about your visit. Middle of the road sushi.

Horrible food. Horrible service. Go to Red Robbin next door. Most of the rolls had an odd after taste, and I could make the yakisoba noodles in the microwave.

The taste is what you'd expect from a conveyer belt sushi bar. I enjoyed the things I had especially the tuna hand roll and the creamy scallop. It was pretty slow so the entire time we were there no new sushi was being put on the belt which was unfortunate. The sushi that was on there seemed old because the plastic domes were clouded over with condensation. Kind of silly that we had to lift them up just to see what was under them. Because of this we had to order a lot off the menu which wasn't bad because we were about the only ones there. The service was prompt. Price wise it was alittle spendy for what I got. Usually my meal will be 15 bucks for the amount I ate but I think my total was about 25 bucks. Kind of spendy for one person.

I moved to Gresham recently and was hoping to be near a conveyor belt sushi joint. Luckily I was and I felt happy... until I ate at the place. Basically if you want cheap sushi, ya got it. Cheap service (understaffed and very slow) and cheap fish. A sit down joint that costs more is far more worth it. Also on the service, my dad and I came in and got barley seated because they didn't bus literally, I kid you not, the whole bar. The place was dead. We then were ignored for so long my dad had to pour us waters. We then left after another few minutes of no service.

I use to love this place. My wife and I use to be regulars to where our waitress knew exactly what to get us when we got seated. But since she quit, there really hasn't been quality service. It's slow and sometimes non existent. It's way understaffed. If it's busy, you will be waiting a long time to get a seat. Sometimes it's best just to tell the waiter/waitress that you want to just sit at an open bar seat while pointing at it. Seems there is only one or two people who run around between writing orders, pouring water and cashiering. That causes them to walk past customers who they haven't helped in a long time. I don't start eating until I get my side of sriracha mayo and water. Sometimes that's a while and sometimes they will forget the sauce. I try to drink my water slowly. I swear the portions on the salmon rolls use to be bigger and i remember when the prices were around 75 cents less per plate. The quality is not all that great either. Most of the rolls become warm from sitting out so long. I like it when they make it fresh and fish is still cold and the rice is warm. I think they should put out a survey of which dishes customers eat most of and concentrate on those to keep things fresher. I've noticed the past couple years they've had new management and there's a lot of new 'creative' dishes but I just miss fresh plates and they're trying really hard to keep their customers by trying different combinations. It seems sometimes they just add a drop of sriracha on top of an already good roll and charge 50 extra cents for it. Overall it's good to go here when it's not busy. You can actually have a pleasant dining experience. They've turned down the A/C so it's not freezing like it was a couple years ago. I love the sockeye salmon rolls. The white sauce on top of that is excellent. Only reasons I keep going back is for that sauce and I can't find another sushi-go-round in Gresham. I like that style because I can eat whatever I feel like and not have to order a huge plate for just a few things I look forward to eating.

Despite other reviews, I've been a Sushi Ville fan for a couple of years. However, I haven't been for a while, so decided to stop in for lunch yesterday. I figured since I was there right around lunchtime (1:30), there'd be lots to choose from on the belt. Wrong, and I soon found out why. I decided to place an order, only to learn that they had run out of lots of items and they hadn't arrived in that day's shipment. No calamari, no pot stickers. Sadness! Over all, it was a so-so lunch, and this time, the tell-tale "sushi burps" that start about an hour later were not worth it.

The lady that sat us never came back to refill our drinks, we were never asked how our food was. We were done with our food for about 10+ mins. The lady was rude. And in too if that they charge you for a to go box.

  • Ti S.

1.) Food was decent quality and tasted fresh. It's what to expect from this kind of buffet style eatery. 2.) The Lady GaGa pounding my head while visiting was not pleasant and departed from relaxing. 3.) the servers nor the help preparing the food speak very good English?!? I was confused if what I ordered was ever going to show up, only half of it did. When questioned the server just kinda timidly looked at me and nodded....

Disgusting that's all I can really say about this 5 minute experience I put myself through. First off they put a ton of mayonnaise in every roll and most of the rolls I saw shouldn't have been more then 1.00. Sushi ohana and Hana are the best sushi trains to go to and they have happy hour. I'm sorry that mayo roll is the same roll I could get at ohana without the mayo and not having to pay 3.50 ridiculous. Sushiville you had rolls priced at 3.50 and all it was was the imitation crab with only three pieces you could get 8 rolls for that price again without all that mayo. Basically they had basic overpriced rolls that tasted nasty, warm, and not eatable. I guess I'm used to shrimp tempura, seared salmon, rainbow, and just top notch quality sushi rolls for 1.50 to 1.75. NO THANK YOU

Not too bad of a place. I come here every Thursday afternoon with my son. He gets fruit and a juice and I get my shrimp dumplings. The girls are always so kind to him, they have always been. That's what I love about this place- they treat him like a person. He's two, and most places we have been make little to no effort in speaking to my son or making him comfortable. He talks, A LOT, and doesn't hesitate to ask for what he would like to order. He knows what he wants and he knows how to politely ask for it. The girls make an effort to ask him what he'd like, or go the extra mile to make him happy. One time he became very upset and quietly cried and one of the girls offered him free ice cream, of course after they asked me. For treating my son so well, these girls have earned my business and we will continue to be there every Thursday.

Sushi Track and it was good. Good size place for a track. I like how high the bar is. The fish was great and they had my fave. Salmon in mass. I ate a bunch and loved every bite. So glad I found Sushiville way out in Gresham. It was everything I wished.

  • Lynn C.

This is my favorite place in Gresham. The price is very reasonable. Just be aware of the color of the plates you're taking, you can easily do budget control well. My average cost is 10-13 per person before tip. Love their seared salmon, better flavor with the same price of salmon nigiri. You can also get a huge plate yakisoba for 6-8 dollars.

  • Shari C.

If I could give zero stars I would. Service is horrible. I went in expecting to enjoy my lunch while getting caught up on a paper, was there 20 minutes and asked to get up and move so someone else could have my table...what ever happen to CUSTOMER SERVICE?

  • Kim P.

I actually had to spit out an expensive roll, because it was really warm and gross. I just handed the plate to the server and we weren't charged. This place is managed poorly by all the bad reviews.

    (1)
  • Solomon R.

Utter bullshit. Excuse my French. Had two plates of salmon. Both tasted frozen and had a "buttery taste" (according to a hostess) which just tasted like salt. "It depends on the cut". Right. Couldn't eat anymore after that. My friend agreed with me. I want my 8.75 back, for the both of us. There are better options. Avoid this place like the plague. Awful. Gordon Ramsay would have a hayday.

Went here about 45 min before closing on New Year's Eve. Probably not the best idea but I really wanted Sushi. It probably could have been a better experience and a little fresher but overall it was okay and scratched an itch. This is a conveyer belt restaurant and has a decent menu. I will probably try it again at a better time and hopefully I can update my rating.

We are here at least once a week. Or 10 and 2 year old love it! Great food. Great service. Don't see what you like on the belt all you have to do is ask. Haven't found a better quick sushi place yet!

How have I never done a review for Sushiville? I love this place! Sushiville is a sushi-boat place where you can pick off the carousel, or order off the menu if you want something you don't see, or something a bit fresher or warmer. They do all the basics, but the item I come and get EVERY TIME I go is their cream cheese wontons. Oh my scrumptious goodness!!! Deep fried wontons filled with cream cheese and covered in sugar -- I'm drooling just thinking of them! The only knock I give Sushiville is that if you get there in the off-rush hour, their hot food isn't always hot (although you can order through a waiter/waitress to get a fresh set. Also, there have been a few times I have been there when their deep fryer has been down (once), or they were out of chicken (twice), or out of gyoza (twice). But the rest of it makes up for it all! Don't forget to pick up a stamp card so that when you turn into a frequent visitor, you can save some cash!!

I wish I could give this place zero stars....absolutely disgusting. To who ever is saying this place is good has apparently never eaten real sushi. I had some kinda tuna roll, everything was hard to identify, mystery seafood. A Salmon roll, that was smoked, nasty. The waitress came to ask me how everything was, I told her my dislike for the salmon and she says "sorry there is nothing I can do about that " Why even ask? So ya don't waste you time or money on this place.

This is by far the best conveyor belt sushi I have had. Don't hate. I like the variety. I was here a year or two ago and the food was average. But since the new management it has really come a long way. The food is great. I really enjoyed the calamari. The new manager is on hand, helps out and is full of energy. Reminds me of Yan can cook. Good place to eat. If you have not been here in a while it is worth a revisit. .

They used to be good at first, I have not been here for a long time, don't think will come back anytime soon. Hand rolls tasted disgusting, I couldn't make second bite, tea is a joke, rice does not feel right at all. None of us could complete their plate. Very sad.

We love this place. The owner/manager is great, cooks are great, theres 1 good server, the rest aren't the best. Good sushi, affordable and good attitude and spirit make this plsce fun.

We like sushi and were in the shopping mall vicinity so decided to give it a try. Eh. Nothing special. The same 5 rolls went by us forever. Not much variety and for a higher price than I would have anticipated for the quality. Fish was squashy/mushy not firm. Would I go here again? Probably not.

Used to be a good restaurant for a quick sushi fix. Service has gone down hill, it is slow and last 3 times we've been our order is never completed.

Been to the one in Portland and it's much nicer, cleaner and fresher! Will not be coming back here again. Off to find something else for dinner....

We were excited to find an easily accessible sushi place in Gresham. We came in, were ignored, and continued to be ignored nearly the entire time we were there. The sushi was not all that fantastic. Then we were ignored for so long when we were waiting to pay, we dang near elected to walk out. We will not be going back.

I have always been a fan of Sushiville! I have always gone to the 23rd location but decided to give this location a try. Boy oh boy where do I start? The servers were rude and not helpful. Had to ask for the same item 3 times to 3 different servers to get what I ask for. Food wasn't fresh and the service was horrible. Save your money and get sushi elsewhere.

    (2)
  • Nanthawat J.

I thought only the cheaper plates were bland so I gave the more-expensive plates a shot but I was still disappointed.

    (2)
  • Lana S.

Not good. At all. I thought the sushi quality was terrible. Not fresh. And no variety. I kept seeing the same sushi over and over and over and over....

  • Drew P.

Long ago, the management drove us away and the only thing that brought us back was a full punch card. During my "last" visit.. we met the new manager, Peter. Peter has turned the place around and has an incredible attitude! I can't sing of his praises, enough! My girlfriend and I try to come back at least once a week. As long as this awesome staff stays, we'll keep coming back!

  • Bob R.

Hawaii sets a pretty high bar for sushi lovers, so I didn't know what to expect coming into this establishment on the outskirts of Portland having lived in the islands for over a decade. The sushi goes around the center of the bar on a conveyor allowing you to see it beforehand and you're free to take whatever you like. I ordered an ahi, unagi, and uni. The ahi had obviously been frozen and thawed and this robbed it of its flavor. It hardley had any taste at all. Next up, the unagi. Actually it turned out pretty well and I was satisfied with the texture and flavor. Yum! Finally, uni. Definitely not for those with a queasy stomach, but the flavor is what it must be like to eat something straight from the sea. An acquired taste, which I've acquired. Overall, Sushiville is not a bad sushi place, but don't judge sushi harshly if this is the first place in which you try it. There are better places for sure!

    (3)
  • Karen K.

Poor service. How do you screw up service that is mainly handled by a conveyor belt? Waitress was slow, skipped me when refilling water, awkwardly joked with us. Also watched them not greet customers at the door and let them wait for a long time before seating them. I hate going here, but I really needed a seared salmon fix.

    (1)
  • Laurie E.

I had given this place 3 stars because the food was still pretty good even if the place wasn't as clean as I'd like, but now I'm giving it 2 because the service has been really bad the last few times I've come in. The staff stop and chit-chat while they are working and are paying no attention to what is going on around them. They seem to be disorganized with all of them going off in different directions at once to get things leaving the dining room deserted of knowledgable staff. They also have only 1 sushi chef on staff most of the time and he's busy making special orders so nothing new gets put on the conveyer belt. The chicken bento was extremely dried out the last time we ordered it. It was obvious that they made it once earlier during the day and then left it out under the heating lamp for the rest of the day. The new manager is nice enough but I don't think she has enough experience to run the restaurant well and she also stops and chit chats instead of keeping an eye on customer needs.
