Good breakfast. Large portions. Local hangout.

I go to this cafe a few times a week and have for years. Do you want Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffles w/ Amaretto Whipped Cream and Lingonberry Syrup? Maybe a Double Vanilla Skinny Decaf Soy Latte? Do you have a variety of mysterious food allergies? Yes? Then this isn't the place for you, please do everyone a favor and go somewhere else. Want Bacon, Eggs and Crisp Hashbrowns for less than $5 that's made exactly the same way every time you order it? Folgers coffee for $1.25? Do you have a friendly, laid back attitude and understand that there's only 1 waitress and she's very busy? Ok, you found the best, most reasonable breakfast not just in GP but maybe the world. Welcome to the Blur, order what's on the menu, eat and then get out. It ain't complicated, it's just breakfast. Also, you can order a Bloody Mary or a beer with your Biscuits and Gravy. Win Win.

RUDE and NASTY ATTITUDE AT THIS SO CALLED CAFE! A family member who lives in this area took us there last week while we were vacationing. I heard that the waitress and the cook are the owners (a couple). She was rude and very unhappy. When I asked the waitress for help on the menu she ignored me so I asked the cook. He snapped at me and screamed at me, "Talk to the waitress, what is wrong with you, talk to her, duh!" I was so stunned, I left, my family followed. I thought I was in an altered universe. They acted as though we were unwanted, a inconvenience to them. Also, they were bickering with each other so loud the other table and ours could hear. Lame. My sister and I went to the bar next door a few days prior for a beer and the bartender was awesome. All I can say is stay clear of the cafe.

This is a true dive bar and has cheap drinks. I gave it 4 stars because domestic beers are $2.50, you cannot beat that. Seriously cheap beers. Have not eaten here, but then again why eat at a dive bar? Just drink.

Best breakfast in town no B.S. just breakfast that's very good & large thick strips of bacon. Can't beat a $5 breakfast that's this good I go here as much as possible.

Decent drinks but cramped space. Especially when it gets busy. Too much testosterone the three times I've gone there and my bar fighting days are long gone. Plus everyone shooting pool thinks they can shoot and are cocky. Had to vacate after running table for two hours.

A Grants Pass favorite known for it's cheap, strong drinks and cheap breakfast. This seedy classic bar hasn't been updated/renovated since White Snake came out with their first album, and it's just the way everyone wants to keep it. Friendly locals usually frequent the bar by night playing pool and pushing quarters into the juke box, there's also video crack for those collecting social security or just wanting to throw their money away. The classic whiskey and Coke is my go-to here. For the hangover in the morning come back here for some cheap, even stronger bloody marys. If you're hungry throw in an egg, bacon, and toast breakfast for just about 5 bucks. Super deal! Any GP local knows the Blur is where it's at.

Known by the locals as the Blur. Incredibly large and stiff drinks. Definitely on the top of the scale in this department. A friend of mine dared his buddy to try to drink $25 worth of drinks in this place. The kid couldn't do it. If someone wants to try to meet that challenge, you best plan on calling a taxi and having a wicked hangover. Very old school. Very casual. I have no idea about the cafe part of this place. Update: went to the cafe for breakfast. Not impressed. Good service but the food was so so at best. On the other hand you can order drinks from the bar.

Great service and one of the better breakfast places in town for the price. Chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, toast $6.95 cannot beat that. And really tasty!

Drinks have really good prices the bartenders are friendly the patrons not so much.

Not so much a fan of the "Blur" which is the bar side, but you can't beat the quick delicious and cost effective food in the cafe. Go in Tuesday through Saturday when Max and Lisa are holding down the fort and you might even catch Max singing along to the radio in the kitchen. Pro Tip: Bring cash. They don't take cards. (Though, there is an ATM in the bar.)

A dive bar with great local flavor. This is most definitely the sort of place that hung an effigy of a spotted owl with a target on it in the 90's. Bartender, I assume the owner was nice enough and even gave my friend a 2 for one because it was her birthday. They have a pretty beat up pool table but the cues are straight and it only costs 25 cents! And people are right, the drinks here are strong! I ordered a whiskey water and it was about 3.5 oz whiskey and a table spoon of water. Did hear one patron chastising his friend for playing "boogly-woogly music"- he wasn't too happy when I played lupe fiasco's "all black everything"- fucking racists.

A good change of pace if I want a cocktail that strong and simple.....probably not a place for trendy drinks, but that's okay. Yeah, with strong drinks and a downtown location, I could see how local LE just might watch people stumble out and get behind the wheel?

The "Blur" as locals call it.. As in your eyes get blurry from 2 of the stiff/cheap drinks that they pour. Be careful there as the crowd can be rough. Seems like guys think they came to a boxing ring to fight when they go there. They also tend to get beligerent after a few stiff drinks. Also, watch it...Local police sit and wait for you to walk out, drive off, and give you a DUI. The cafe on the side of the lounge has great food and great prices. Cool local spot in GP with pool tables, juke box, and video lotto games..worth a try.

The Blur. This is the place to go if you want a good stiff drink. The bartenders are good at what they do and seem to care about their customers (me!). Young people, old people, working class, retired, they all mix together nicely. Poker machines and one pool table frequented by a few pretty good players. Occasional bar brawls round out an evening at the bur.
