Always a good choice but they have cut back on size of meals, changed a few items and increased their prices. Once I would have given four stars but now a two star.

Food is average, service needs help. When we ordered they didn't get my daughter's order. When the order was ready I asked for a plate to share with my daughter so she wouldn't have to wait, they wanted to charge me for the plate. Not impressed.

Easily my favorite Asian style place in grants pass, with that said I'm from the Bay Area and haven't found a place the least bit comparable to a California "Asian" place.. but this is decent. Everything is always fresh, and flavor is pretty consistent, 2 little free wontons with your combo. Folks are nice and it's convenient to call in and order ahead. No complaints here, prices went up a bit but hey, inflation.. Right ? Ha

their teriyaki beef bowl was atrocious, the beef isn't cooked right and tastes cheap and chewy in a bad way. yoshinoya does a better job than this down in SoCal and they're about the same price.

This is one of my favorite places to eat out in Grants Pass. The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. My favorites include the Chicken Skewer and Panang Curry Combo. It is basically 2 meals in one. And for $5.99 you cannot beat it!! I just wish you could make substitutions with the combo meals. I don't really understand why you can't.

I've eaten Here a couple times in the last two weeks, first time had BBQ ribs and pepper garlic chicken, BBQ chicken and Mar Far chicken, next time I got Asian BBQ beef and one other item I forgot......I forgot what it was, but it's all been good.....fried rice and chow Mein are good, not too greasy. I grew up in the SF Bay Area, and worked for a while with mostly Chinese co workers, and I've been well exposed to good Asian food......I was honestly expecting grocery chain deli Chinese take out, and my expectations were greatly exceeded.......I live outside of city limits, and when I have been in town, and want something to bring home for dinner, these guys are really conveniently located....

I am always on the look out for good, inexpensive lunches. I drove by Asian Express and was a little skeptical about the sign outside advertising Tasty Bowls for $4.99. I decided to eventually try it and was pleasantly surprised. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and simple. The staff is very friendly. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl. It comes with chicken breast sliced, covered with sauce and Asian Cole Slaw over a bed of rice. Both the chicken and cole slaw were very tasty and seemed to be made with fresh ingredients. It reminded me of a dish you might get in Hawaii. While the portion size was not huge, it was plenty for lunch. I have been back a few times and each time the Chicken Teri Tasty Bowl has been consistently good. I did try the Mongolian Beef last time I was there and was not as impressed. The sauce was not quite spicy enough and a little too thick for my taste. There are several other items that I would like to sample. The Kung Pao Chicken and the BBQ Ribs among them. If you are looking for a clean restaurant with fast service, inexpensive prices and good food, I would recommend Asian Express.

My wife and I frequented Asian Exprees about once a week spending a minimum of $16, but never again. On this last visit we ordered a few thing includeing two orders of chicken strips, which are usualy descent size for the $4 we paid for them. Apon opening the container we noticed the strips had shrunk in size signifagantly, one litteraly only as large as her pinky finger. She then went up to ask what happened, thinking maybe they mad a mistake with the scraps. BUT NO!!! she was told the strip are not pressed and will very in size. Ok, we understand. After some talking with him he said he would have them cook her anouther strip. PROBLEM SOLVED? NO!!! Two minutes later he came out and said that in previous times the must have been "too large", and they were not going to make her a REAL chicken strip. I then told him from now on i will take my buisness to McDonalds were i can can get 20 of these "Chicken Nuggets" for the same price as thier 3. In my oppinion save your money and go to a real chinese restaurant!!!!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
