7;15 pm: Arrived to this bustling restaurant and were told there were no tables inside so we chose to sit outside 7:20 pm: Since we had two very young children with us we ordered promptly from our pleasant server 8:00 pm: Asked the status of our order and was told it'd be another 10 minutes - since it was getting cold, we asked if they had blankets they could bring us. Not a problem. 8:20 pm: Still no food. The children were pretty damn restless by this point. The server was getting very defensive by this point. It appeared that someone was going to have a meltdown. We just weren't sure who. - she brought some oyster crackers instead of blankets. They weren't as warm, but they did manage to occupy the children for 7 minutes. 8:30 pm: Server came and blurted out that she had NO IDEA what was "going on in that kitchen" and had talked to the owner. Apparently, the owner was offering us a 20% discount on food that still had not arrived. 8:40 pm: children's cheese and salami pizza arrives. Dropped on the table by our server who was pretty surly by now. 8:45 pm: the rest of our meal arrives. Finally. I spoke to the owner who did acknowledge that 1.5 hours is a long time to wait. She offered us a discount and apologized. The server was not so apologetic and the children managed to get out of there without a meltdown. The food was mediocre. I wouldn't go back.

Not our intended destination but they had a $14 prime rib special and that is tough to pass up! My husband ordered it, I ordered the crab ravioli with lobster sauce. Both were exceptional, possibly the best meal we've ever eaten in Florence. The prime rib was a 1" thick and cooked to perfection. The crab ravioli was not quite what I expected with a sort of rough cut ravioli in the bottom, and thick cheesy sauce, crusted on the top. But it was delicious, so an orchestra of flavors with none being over powering which is usually the case when someone doesn't know how to cook Italian. The service was professional and courteous, exactly what one would expect in an upscale restaurant - but the prices were fantastic. Overall great experience, wish I'd tried this years ago!

This place has the best pizza and Italian dessert I have ever eaten. the wait is super long usually, but just for that reason. You have to come for Bruch or Linner when the wait isn't long. GREEK PIZZA = true love! Deliciously baked crust, loaded with veggies and the perfect cheese. My friends each tried a different one, and they were all amazing. ITALIAN WEDDING CAKE AND CHOCOLATE MOUSSE = true love! SOOOOOO good. I can't describe how perfect and high quality these were. Made right before my eyes to! I got a recommendation actually from one of the staff at a local pizza kitchen near my house. When my family hit the road on a trip to Florence, we decided to check it out. It was around 6 when we finally found the place and went in. BIG fat mistake. the place was full to the brim, the wait and hour long. We decided to go back the next day at 3. It was empty?! The staff was super friendly and apologized for last night. Joked around, and told us about their fav's on the menu, and we got to meet the Italian woman who bakes the desserts. The pizza guys even showed us up close how to make and throw the dough in the air! We left feeling stuffed and happy, feeling confident in human business owners and bakers once again. Defiantly go here!!!! You will not regret it if you come at the right hour.

Ate here on a lazy Sunday, arrived and went right inside and sat. Was hungry for pizza and that's what we ordered. Doesn't seem to be ay options for customizing your pizza, looks like you can choose from about 8 different ones, so we ate the pep/cheese. The first few bites were good. It's pretty thin crust. But after a few slices, I couldn't tell much difference between it and frozen pizza. I believe it was because of the pepperoni, it tasted like the pepperoni from a Tony's pizza. Server was attentive and the beer was cheap.

Excellent pizza, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Love the local vibe. This is a great place to eat if you are walking through historic downtown Florence.

Just saw that I didn't yelp my first experience here. Back in Nov. last year when it wasn't so busy and we sat in front of the kitchen to watch our food being made. Which is too cool in itself.. Don't remember what I ate but I remembered the staff being super friendly and felt like I was at home there. So tonight I went with my parents and tried the Greek pizza! Thanks for the recommendation Sadegh! It was super yummy!!! The pesto sauce was delish it was overstuffed with yummy veggies. They were packed to the the seams and we sat in the back and they let us know we wouldn't get our food for 30 to 40 mins. Which we didn't mind, we knew it would be worth it. It was neat they had blankets in case you got cold. They had overhead heaters to keep you warm though. I can't wait to go back!

I am new to Yelp and this is my first review. I actually wrote this in my journal August 22, 2012 as a warning to myself, but it should be shared with all! I In Florence OR for a night while on the road and hoped for a good dinner with family to end a perfect day. Selected RESTO and I am very sorry for doing so. All food was marginal; shrimp scampi; encrusted parmesan halibut; chicken pesto. Rosemary artisan bread required two reminders to wait staff, water was apparently rationed this evening in Florence as it was granted grudgingly and infrequently. Service was slow, sullen and totally ineffective. During our meal garbage bags were brought out through the dining room in plain view of patrons. The music was turned off promptly at 9PM and we finished dining with the accompaniment of the freezer cooler running at high whine, the dishwashers cleaning up and the wait staff taking turns counting their money at the end of their day and visiting the toilet before they left the premises. It was clear that we were among the last patrons to arrive but we came in good faith that we would be served fairly but this did not happen. We would have preferred to have been told that the restaurant was closing within a half hour of our arrival than to have been treated the way we were treated. In summary, food was marginal, price was too high, service was entirely too low and the silly grin of the owner or manager orchestrating this entire debacle was the ironic and moronic exclamation point on this entire, very unappealing dining choice. Don't even consider RESTO as a dining option-it sucks. Dairy Queen would have been a better choice all around.

We stopped by for an early lunch. The service was atrocious (we waited 45 minutes to get served Caesar salads) and the salads were so-so. The homemade pizzas looked good from afar, but the wait appeared to be just as long for them. Could be we caught them on a bad day, but I wouldn't go back.
