This was pretty close to our campground- and I really had a good time here! The cobbler was SO yummy. Although not actually a cobbler because the top wasn't crumbly but regardless it was still delicious! Great choice for breakfast and next time I visit Oregon coast I'll deff. stop back here!

The Five Star Rating is based solely upon the Chicken Fried Steak. Best I've had in quite a long time. Not deep fried, which most CFSs are, but done on the flattop (grilled). Very crispy with a RIGHTEOUSLY seasoned coating and the meat itself is very tender (it's also Certified Angus Beef). The gravy is very nice. I had a biscuit and gravy on the side, and that was one of the softest, nicest biscuits I've had with biscuits and gravy. Most are hard and flat, this was soft and fluffy. My first time here, it won't be my last. An outstanding breakfast. I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu (including what I imagine is a damn fine Philly Cheesesteak on the Lunch Menu), but I fear I won't ever stray from the Chicken Fried Steak. Great service as well. Coffee (and water) kept filled without having to ask. Very friendly staff. If you like CFS, stop in and give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!

Great antique appliances for decor, fabulous breakfasts and service. Homemade Cobbler (in more than one fruit variety). We were referred here by our hotel desk person (I think he is the owner) at the Ocean Breeze Motel (best place in Florence for lodging). We had standard breakfasts of bacon, eggs, hash browns (very well prepared) and French Toast. All excellent. Coffee was also very good (not too strong, not too weak - just right). Server and chef (I think he is the owner) were very friendly and attentive. Next time I am trying their Chicken Fried Steak. I love that breakfast and the chef told me how they prepare it, and it sounds great. This restaurant is south of the main part of Florence. It is about a mile south of the bridge (which is south of main Florence). On the right as you are heading south, in front of the Park Motel. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

This place is just awesome. Food is amazing but the portion sizes leave no one hungry. Highly recommend their Whole Hog Omelette with hashbrowns and the half order of biscuits and gravy. Coffee isn't a over the top murder you dark roast, it's smooth and pairs wonderfully with the food. In short, if you are in the Florence Oregon area, especially all of the weary travelers staying at Honeyman State Park, you should have yourself some breakfast here and enhance that vacation like my wife and I did.

Very good breakfast fast service. Try the Pecan waffle and sausage. Good coffee. Stopped here after trying another place that I could not eat the food. This was very good .

Good breakfast joint after early morning sand dune adventure. portions are generous. biscuits and gravy were newly made and hashbrowns crispy on the outside. Coffee was tasty but forgot to ask where beans came from.

Absolutely adored this place! Came in right as the doors opened, and the sweetest older fellow served is. Quickly got our food, and then headed out to run down some sand dunes. #jadore

We always stop at Morgan's if we're near Florence and looking for breakfast or lunch. The food is solid, service is just right, and the place is great, a perfect traditional Oregon coast diner. Soups, salads, burgers, breakfasts, coffee, all great.

Great service with genuine happy people. We find the good to be consistently excellent with very generous portions. It is our favorite breakfast place now in Florence! I prefer thin to thick pancakes, and theirs are rather thick...but they are fantastic! Omelets are huge and delicious. You can't go wrong at this restaurant!

Just ate there twice with my family last week. Food and service were great. Better than anything in downtown Florence. A real hidden gem. I will be coming back whenever I'm in the Florence area.

The food was okay but I never understand restaurants that charge you for an extra plate. They did not have a kid breakfast so I ordered a regular meal for my six and four year old. The waitress brought an extra plate as if she did it out of the kindness of her heart...then I see the dollar charge on the bill. Can't you build that in somehow? I would not go back now just cause I think charges like this are that silly.

Wow... chicken fried steak is amazing. Hand breaded huge pieces of tender beef, I know chicken fried steak, and this is as close to the best I've found anywhere. Breakfast is very good diner food. Fast, filling and friendly.

We went here for breakfast on a family vacation in June 2014 after reading the Yelp reviews. We were served by the owners wife. Our coffee and waters were never empty and she was friendly as could be. We ordered the Chicken fried Steak, they are HUGE and very good! One of my kids ordered the French toast and the sausage that came with it was the size of a bratwurst and taste delicious. The wait was a little long for our food but they were very busy due to it being Fathers day Sunday. As long as my drinks stay full, I cant complain about the wait.

Waited 50 minutes to receive our obviously canned clam chowder and a burger with fries that were so burnt they were rock hard and crumbled. No apology was given for the fries being the way they were, only excuses were given and no apology for the long wait. Please please please trust the other yelp reviews... Soooo not worth the wait or money

Loved the corned beef, Hubby said the biscuits were wonderful but needed more gravy on top. Not much sasuage in the gravy either. Friendly staff, prices are a bit high tho. All in all a good experiance.

Most underwhelming meal, ever. We paid twenty dollars for a burger with fries, bowl of soup and salad. The fries seemed to be on a diet seeing as they were so skinny, but the worse party was the chalky texture. Burger was pretty good, but it would be difficult to screw up something that is pre-made. The clam chowder was from a can which is really disappointing since we are at the coast. Finally the veggies and croutons in the salad were old. Icing on the cake was the service, eh.

Found this based on online reviews while we were int he area. Our party of 5 all enjoyed breakfast. My corned beef hash was good but my country potatoes and the biscuit and gravy were even better. I like my cb hash shredded and this was ground, I'm picky! The others had eggs and hash browns, eggs were all done perfectly, the hashbrowns could have used more crisping. Definitely will go back if we are in the area again.

Came in here one morning with a very large group, there were 17 of us. They do an automatic gratuity on parties larger then 6 so our waitresses decided that we didn't need decent service. Took over an hour to get our food. All of us got food at different times and when we got around to eating it it was subpar. No flavor greasy and some of it undercooked. The waitress didn't bother to come back and check on us or see if we wanted more. Overall a lackluster experience. Thankfully I don't live here and never have to come back.

This place is great for breakfast, and also wonderful for lunch. We have eaten here many times before, and never leave disappointed. Just south of town, on 101. Usually we have breakfast here when we are in Florence visiting relatives, and they have an amazing menu with lots of options. Today I had lunch here, although my parents both had breakfast, as they serve breakfast all day I believe (or at least until they close, I don't think they are open for dinner). I had their pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw on the side....it was amazing! I was really impressed! Baked beans were unique and full of flavor, and the pulled pork was great, good quality meat and not fatty at all. Very good lunch!! I was also impressed with the waitress we had today. She was bringing my food out to me, noticed there was a bit of mold on the bun, told me what was going on, and then promptly sent the food back. When she brought the new food back, she told us that my food was free because of the wait and for having to replace the bun, even though she noticed it even before it got to me!! Wow what great service! I was appreciative and impressed! We also had dessert here, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND their marionberry cobbler!!! Wow that was one of the best desserts I have had at a restaurant! Rates right up there with my mom's homemade pies!! Very very good!!

I read the 3 reviews and thought I'd try this place out. I was disappointed and was only glad that I didn't eat much of the food. I was attracted to this place initially when I read about the local food and recycling... However, I sit down at my table and find honey in little packets, jelly in little packages, sweeteners in individual packages and butter in individual tabs? Although the tabs of butter they had were real butter, I'm pretty sure it was some oily spread on my toast; I couldn't finish it. Where is the bulk honey, jelly in a covered dish with a spoon, sugar container and section of butter in a bowl to cut down on the need to recycle at all? The coffee was standard Folgers or similar, Stash brand "shake" tea. This place is in Oregon, why not purchase coffee from the Wandering Goat or someplace local (there are a ton) that knows coffee? As for the tea, at the very least Mighty Leaf is bagged whole tea leaves. I'd much rather spend $2.50 for a quality beverage than $2 for cheap stuff. I ordered an Irish Egg dish with hollandaise sauce that had a pool of brown oil at the bottom. It looked like a bowlful of jalopy you'd get at one truck stop diner, only to stop at the next truck stop diner to thankfully...you get the picture. I like to eat at local, non-chain food places, and almost always do. That is one thing I can support about this place. Please take it as constructive criticism...I know good food, and it wouldn't take much for this place to step it up in the areas I wrote about. Also...gargantuan portion sizes = not good. Show people you care about them by serving them appropriately. You'll have less waste and people will ultimately leave feeling good.

It's just a quick drive from the Honeyman campground where we'd stayed the night before. So just like my review for Grandma's in Seaside, OR, we were on the lookout for something homely and delicious. We saw Morgan's and pulled over immediately. Walking in, it's pretty unassuming. A nice cafe/diner atmosphere with friendly service. They even have that IQ test thingy at each table, which makes me feel dumber everytime I do'em. We were given a minute or two to peruse the menus, and all the choices sounded great, and there were a lot of options for mixing stuff up. The lady had pancakes smothered with strawberries, and I had some eggs over easy with hashbrowns, bacon and Hotcakes. It was all pretty great. But I think the thing that makes the restaurant better most is how eco-friendly it is. At each table there's a description of how they do business, where their food comes from (mostly locally grown & harvested) and their philosophy when it comes to waste management and recycling. I was quite impressed to find a restaurant so ecologically conscious in the middle of rural Oregon. So, not only did I have an incredibly fulfilling and satisfying breakfast, I also felt thankful that I didn't just each a bunch of Sysco brand crud.

I loved the breakfast! They had everything I wanted in one order. They offer one unusual side choice for your scramble, a biscuit with gravy, yum!! The service was very nice and prompt. So far sense I moved to town 3weeks ago this is the very best place for breakfast I will be back...in fact I'm going to go two days in a row.

Great meal. The eggs Benedict were great and are being added to menu. Friendly place. Also quite close to the hotel we stayed at (Ocean Breeze). Hope we can return again in the future.
