Delicious. Pies from scratch - one of the best crusts I've had in a long time. The walls boast art from local artists, which is always fun to see. The food is made with love and care, and that is something I could taste in every bite. Look past the dollar store decorations and the terrible coffee, so you can taste the most amazing clam chowder in town. Just a perfect breakfast.

Ample parking and spacious seating. The service is good on the whole and the staff are helpful. The menu includes a lot of diner foods, and a preponderance of protein and carbs. We carnivores loved the tasty Chicken Fried Steak and Bacon & Egg Breakfast Special. The Omelet was the most elegant. I'll be coming back for some more Chicken Fried Steak.

Stopped here on a trip back home down 101 South. It's very homey feeling, seemed like there were lots of regulars and since we stopped on a Thursday morning it was almost all the senior crowd. Service was a little slow since they were full to capacity but when I got my fishwich it was really good. Glad to get a small town diner experience here.

Yelps info is wrong. Map points to a location on highway 126 not their actual location on highway 101. And they are open 6-3 not 7-7.

It was so, so. The prices were a little high for what we ordered I felt like, I wasn't thrilled that my well behaved child was glared at by the cook staff when I requested her pancake before our food came out. I don't think we will return any time soon.

While in Florence the past few weeks I have had breakfast here a few times. The food has been great the service outstanding. Highly recommended. Note they now close at 3 in the afternoon and no longer serve dinner.

We enjoyed our breakfast featuring a breakfast sandwich with scrambled egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese and a logger omelet with ham, bacon, hamburger, and sausage. Kathy is a great hostess.

Friendly service and super yummy food. The kids got pancakes and I had Donna's scramble. We had to wait a long time for our food, but it was worth the wait. I wish I lived closer so I could try other menu items. The bread was so so good!

I went to Florence for the dunes, but I would definitely come back because of this place! We didn't have very high expectations, but we decided not to go to the only place that we knew on town: subway. We came in the place and there was no one (not a very good sign) and even the owner looked surprise when she saw a group of 10 people taking a sit. She helped us in everything! The variety of food is good, you can order breakfast all day and you also have hamburgers and sandwiches! They bake their own bread so the place was even more special. The cinnamon revision bread was delicious. I had a veggie omelet and it was really good. Prices can be a little high but portions are huge and you can always take leftovers home. I didn't try the clam chowder but everyone said it was amazing. Before leaving, the owner have us a pumpkin bread since the run out of pumpkin pie... To sum up: I wish I lived closer so that I can go more often!!

You will not believe this place! My husband and I eat out a lot, and I think this is in my top 5 best places ever! I should've taken a picture of the sandwich; no human could bite the whole thing, and there's enough for dinner. The homemade bread, potato salad was incredible (and I'm kind of picky!). There's no reason to eat elsewhere. All the staff were super friendly, treat you like they've known you for years, perfect service. You can have breakfast or lunch anytime, the menu is big. Tons to choose from. And daily baked homemade pies! Who the heck is complaining about the prices? Coffee was 50 cents! For the standard price at a shari's or Denny's, you could feed two adults and a kid! The building is retro, but that's what makes it like it is. I'm dying to go back tomorrow for breakfast. We visit florence about once a month and never knew this gem was here. Thanks!

!!wow!! - thought I would swing by for lunch and see what all these great reviews were about. I was not disappointed! Food and service both 10 out of 10. I just found my new burger spot!

We have a large dog who doesn't much like the heat, and it's hard to find places that will allow him to be at the table with us. Not only did the staff accommodate Murphy, but they let us eat in a small shaded area outside so he was comfy and brought him a bucket of cold water. Aside from this, the service was quick, options bountiful, and food delicious. I had the veggie and bacon omelet, expecting to be skimped, as usual. Instead I got probably 2-4 slices of thick bacon as well as broccoli, cauliflower, onions, zucchini, cheese, and squash, all wrapped in perfectly cooked eggs. A side of rye bread with butter and greasy hash browns completed an amazing meal. My boyfriend had probably the most moist, dense, sweet pancakes I've ever tried, which were somehow also perfectly browned on the outside. No idea how they did it. Finally, the establishment itself was wonderful. Clean, with lots of local art, jewelry, and fundraisers on display. Clearly an old renovated home, the space was friendly and welcoming, as were the staff. If I had to nitpick, the coffee was a bit watery for my taste.

We were on a road trip traveling the 101 and stayed overnight in Florence. On our search for breakfast the next morning we found Kathleen and Nina's! We noticed that there were several locals eating there so we decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did! The food was great! Our waitress (and probably one of the owners- the blonde) was SUPER nice and shared her family's 100 yr old photos with us as we waited for our breakfast to be served. The other waitress (maybe the other owner- a brunette) was not very friendly as she sat us, maybe she was having a bad morning, I don't know but it was off putting. However, the blonde made up for it and made us feel right at home! We would definitely eat at this place again and will spread the word to everyone we know to eat here when they're in Florence!

If in Florence you must stop here. Was driving through the coast and after a good time in town the night before needed a delicious breakfast. This place is awesome. It is something some might call a "greasy spoon" do not be afraid. Best breakfast I have ever eaten. Worth coming back Florence just for this breakfast.

We came by for the "home made" pie and I think they may have made in a month ago. Tasted of refrigerator. Had it heated but it was microwaved to mush. I also didn't expect the owners and servers to be talking so loud and telling off colored jokes. Will not go again.

If you are looking for local, friendly, and more than enough for your money, Kathleen & Nina's is the place. Lunch (which was really breakfast) here today was amazing! Charming decor. Very cheery waitstaff that was attentive without hovering. Prompt service despite the fact that the place filled almost to capacity while we were there at the noon hour. The food is simple, fresh, and delicious. At first glance, it might seem pricey, but when your meal is delivered (on an eclectic but charming collection of china dinnerware) you'll realize straightaway that you'll need a take-home box. Perfectly cooked over-medium eggs accompanied by crispy hash browns, three of the biggest sausage links ever seen, and homemade sourdough toast with fresh marionberry jam were too much for me. Hubby was just barely able to finish the huge chicken fried steak with home fries, raisin toast and fresh fruit (cheerfully substituted for the eggs he doesn't eat). Pass up all the chains and make your way to K&N's -- you'll be glad you did!

Ohhh. Myyy myyy myyy. This is a JEWEL of a restaurant! I recommend eating here as often as you can. The staff are as qwerky as the building, but don't let that fool you! They provide good conversation and a hearty dose of laughter as they buzz around expertly taking care of each customer. I found it quite nice that as a first timer I was taken care of just a nicely as all of the locals that were there too. Now on to the food...."Chinese scramble" hot, delicious and very tasty stated my husband. "Stuffed french toast" just the right amount of sweetened cream cheese, and the fruit topping was delicious....I ate the entire thing. "Stuffed hash browns" 13 year old son ate the entire plate of food and was full....not a usual occurrence given his age. The conversation with the staff was fun, the old picture album Carol gave us to look at while we waited (a short time) for our food to come, was quite amusing and filled with beautiful old photos of OR. It was just a huge BANG for your buck, and is well worth your time and money.

I thought the prices looked a little high until I saw the mountain of food they brought. Go there hungry. I recommend them for breakfast based on my one experience there. Very nice people and fantastic coffee.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant, and it took us a few minutes to figure out where to go and whether or not it was really open. For a place that has a larger seating area, it seemed a bit odd right from the get-go. We made our way around to the 'main' dining area and sat down. Soon, one of the ladies working came over and asked us what we wanted. We inquired about any specials, and she came back with no specials but the soup of the day was available. Then, she immediately said that we should probably NOT order the soup (emphasis hers) because it was, "five or six days old". At this point, we should have got up and left. Instead, we ordered. I ordered the biscuits and gravy because it seemed like a safer dish to order considering what else was on the menu. A salad was also ordered, and it was the most pathetic salad I've ever seen. When my food arrived, it tasted ok. I finished it. Several hours later, I found myself curled up on the hotel bathroom floor wanting to die. Pain and liquid were blasting out of my body in every direction, and I could only think back to how STUPID I was to not get up and leave at the mention of week-old soup. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how this place is operating. I've been food poisoned before, and it was in some of the nastiest places the Earth has to offer. That a small place in Florence, OR managed to trump them all...beyond the time I got Dysentery and the other time I managed a nuclear version of Salmonella...the experience as a whole, was a close third to the worst food poisoning I've ever had, and it's definitely the worst place I've eaten at in the USA in terms of walking away from the restaurant a relatively healthy person. Shut this place down. Please.

Very quaint breakfast and lunch establishment. It's owned by two sisters (one passed away). My sister-in-law recommended us here for breakfast. It's a house converted to a restaurant. Good portion for an average price. Very cozy. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and the hubby had the German sausage and eggs. My husband is UBER picky about how his eggs are and when he requested for over medium, his first comment was "these eggs are perfect". We loved the gravy. The dishes dishes and coffe mugs are different from each other, among other nick nacks which makes this place quaint. It's a local fav and I can see why.

Old school comfort food. It was like going back in time and sitting at my Grandma's kitchen table. Very nice and real people and hearty, tasty fare. My daughter loved the pig knick knack collection.

Family style home cooking. Ran by the nicest pair of Grandmothers you ever want to meet it is really kind of a locals place. Not your normal restaurant experience. Stopped in Friday 1/1/2009 & had the Corned Beef & Cabbage Soup and a grilled Bacon Tomato & Cheese Sandwich for Lunch & loved it. I don't get to Florence much but make a point of stopping there when I do.
