We went there for a burger and were very pleased. Big portion size. Burger and fries were great. Could be split between two people if your apatite is not too big. Atmosphere was good, not great. Friendly service and prices were right for the amount and quality of food. It is on the wrong side of the road so no water front dining. I would eat there again.

Went here because they were showing the Ducks game. They had a decent TV and stereo sound so it was great for watching the game. Much better alternative than going to the casino because Bay Street Grille is non-smoking. The food is pretty terrific. If you like calamari definitely check theirs out. It is unique and very fresh. Although the burger patties are small the burgers are quite good. Their bacon is amazing. My wife would not recommend the crab cakes. She thought it was imitation crab. I don't like crab so I don't have an opinion on it. My brother-in-law at the bacon wrapped filet mignon and prawns, which he loved. Oh yeah, good clam chowder too. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Florence.

I rely on reviews for places my family and I visit and I feel it is important for me to give some feedback on the Bay Street Griile which may help others. First off, our waitress was really nice and attentive to our needs, but was powerless when it came to dealing with issues with our food. I had read the previous reviews about the salmon so I was very specific to ask it to be cooked medium rare. When the salmon arrived it was not only stone cold it was overlooked. My sister's salmon was exactly the same way but she was smart to return the dish and asked for something else. I had them remake the salmon and when it came back it was not only still cold but raw! I about gagged on the only bite I took. I paid $14.99 for a baked potato, a cup of soup and some veggies. My husband ordered the Parmesan crusted halibut. His was mushy and tasteless. I hope the chef reads the reviews and can improve the quality of the seafood. My son ordered the penne pasta marinara which was good. My niece ordered the New York steak which also was good. Too bad our waitress couldn't go to bat for us and give some sort of concession to the fact I left the restaurant paying for a meal I was unable to eat. She did apologize but did nothing to ensure we would come back. We won't be back. There are plenty of other food options in the same price range on the street. I recommend you try one of those.

The smell from the street brought my family in but the beer was the only item with flavor. Bland salad dressing, overbreaded crab cakes, and cold 'so-called' garlic mashed potatoes. Unfortunately this experience prompted me to do my first Yelp review. Bummer.

This place was a great surprise! The food was perfect at a great price, especially the sweet potato fries. People were attentive and yet it was a relaxing atmosphere. They are not on the bay and not the prettiest restaurant, but I predict I will be there every time I am in Florence. Which will be as often as I can get down there. I have only eaten there once, but I highly recommend them based on that experience.

We used to love this place, but the last 2 meals have been awful. My husband loves pan fried oysters, but could only stomach one of the goop coated shellfish he was served. Waited a year and decided to give it another shot-had the worst clam chowder ever! Cornstarch, clam juice and potatoes, it actually made both of us ill.

Nice server, good steamed mussels. So-so clam chowder. But the sandwiches my wife and i had were bad enough that I'll never go back in this lifetime.

We were going to try to give the Waterfront Depot a redeeming try after the last abysmal performance. But Surprise, they aren't open for lunch. Another Strikearoo Waterfront. So we travelled down Bay Street looking for somewhere to nosh. I looked at a couple of menu's and after trying to find one with appetizing seafood offering we settled on the Bay Street. Maybe it was the fact that it was lunch and there weren't that many patrons, but the service was very prompt and friendly. The waitress seated us and a heavily mustached and bearded gentleman brought us water faster than I could say "water, please." We spent about $40 dollars in this place and it was almost all worth it. If you go, get the appetizer sampler plate. For about $13 it is heaped with a generous helping of garlic fries (you must request this), large deep fried clam pieces, 4 Jumbo Shrimp, and huge breaded squid strips (my favorite). It was a great deal and I should have stopped there. But no, I ordered the Dungeness Crab Cakes, which were good but nothing to rave about like the Appetizer Platter but after the Platter, I wasn't really even hungry. I actually didn't want to look at food after I had eaten it and also sampled 2 of their Oyster shooters. Their shooter, wow, fresh is all I can say. They were so good I could have sworn I was going to spit out a pearl. My better half ordered the Coney Dog and while it is dwarfed by Cooperstown's' Big Unit. The Coney Dog was massive it more than covered 3 outdoor roll sized buns and was swimming in chili and cheese. It was, in her words, "pretty good." But she has had better. So for a lot of good fare and good service try the Bay Street for lunch. I have not experienced the place at dinner time, but I will try to get back there for it.

We came upon this place and had high hopes. The food was actually good...if you got it on time. The service was horrible. We got there and waited for the "wait" staff for recognition. Once they gave us the menu, we waited for them to take our orders. The clincher was, we waited for the food to be served after getting our orders in for say...for almost an hour and by the time the food was served by another waitress who we had to practically tackle for attention, the food was cold, the fries were limp and just an altogether miserable state of service. Yep, with frustration like that, it's no wonder I have no inclination to review their food. If you want, go there and wait. That's really what I remember most about the place, just a lot of waiting. It's like being on dial up all over again. What a disappointment.

We almost didn't go in bc of the bad reviews. Another patron coming out said it was great food, and the wife made an executive decision. We found the food and service to be excellent. First I started with the clam chowder, and it was perfect. Wife and daughter had tomato bisque soup and gave it a big thumbs up. I ordered the seafood combo platter appetizer (5 shrimp, clam strips and calamari, with an abundant side of fries) for my main dish. I've had calamari in Spain, and I know how rare it is to find good calamari in the USA. These were not at all rubbery; they were perfectly textured. All the fish were excellent; so tender I needed to dip my fork on the tartar sauce and then pick up the fish. The fries had an extra flavor, like a hint of garlic or some other seasoning, very nice. Wife and daughter shared sweet potato fries and Parmesan halibut. The sweet potato fries were great. They agreed that the halibut was a bit too bland and needed more flavor. They have a well stocked bar. Daughter asked for tuaca, and they had it. They had a good selection of beers on draft, including local brews. I had the Ninkasa double red ale, out of Eugene, and liked it a lot. There was a dessert special on the board, called Swedish cream, with a berry port sauce. It was to die for--a very creamy custard with a taste similar to cheesecake, but with the consistency of a pudding, then with a very generous topping of blackberry and port, and a huge pile of whipped cream. Never tasted anything like it before! Our server was wonderful. Service was prompt, and our food was delivered to us in a reasonable time, and it was still hot when we got it. We would definitely go back if we were in Florence at meal time.

Good chowder and burgers. We also had a beer flight that was full of a great selection of nw beers.

Ok. We decided to go here after seeing the sweet potato fries while walking by. Yum! My mom had the halibut and chips. Fresh and Moist. I had the southwest burger with clam chowder. Awesome! We will return on next visit to Florence. Great service too.

I stopped by here for drinks during my vacation in florence and had a great time. Warm environment and good drinks. Try the blueberry vodka and spicy tequila! The garlic fries were also an excellent choice. I will come here again and order another junebug.

Service was slow, food was average and the iced-tea was bitter. I cannot even complete this review without excessive negativity. Our server didn't seem to care that we were trying to patronize her business...it was like she was doing us a favor by seating/feeding us. The food was not great, if I'm being brutally honest. We were here with my friend and her teenagers, they ordered chicken strips and a chicken sandwich. When they said that they weren't hungry I thought they were just being difficult since they originally wanted McDonalds. I asked them if I could taste their food and they agreed. Their food was soggy, not seasoned and generally lack-luster. My food was the same and I was mad that I had asked my friend to come here since it was close to the water. At least we would've had edible food and not had had to wait for 45 minutes at a McDonalds. This place was bad, slow and I'm sorry to have to be so negative but I cannot mislead people.

Went in on an average Sunday for dinner looking for fish n chips. It was just the 2 of us so we sat at the bar. We waited a few min. for menus--no big deal. She ( I think the owner) took our drink order. After our drinks were given to us it was quite a LONG while before she came back to take our order. In the mean time, there was something very wrong with my lemon drop martini--it was not sweet nor tart, tasted like vodka and water with a twist of lemon. I wanted to send it back but our waitress never came by. The place started to get pretty busy, watching the poor staff, there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to who or how they served the customers. My husband finished his IPA and his empty glass sat at the end of the bar. Finally a different waitress walked by so I asked her for another beer. She was friendly and helpful ( but not our server who has yet to be seen!) Our food came out, we had both ordered fish n chips. The fries were very cold, the coleslaw was literally cabbage with vinegar in it but the fish was breaded perfectly and was meaty and delicious ( that's why they even get one star!) No one ever checked on us again! Not, " how is everything? Can I get you another drink? " NOTHING! I had to flag down another waitress and ask for our check. As we walked out not one staff member said bye, thank you, have a nice night --again nothing! I felt like the owner ( our server maybe?) had a way of doing things that was very out of touch with reality and it was making the other servers jobs that much harder?? Just a guess...... There were other problems we witnessed but I would just suggest finding somewhere else-- according to some of the other reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue!

Two other tables occupied, waited too long to get served. Forget the clam chowder, skimpy on clamp and NO flavor.

Stopped in for lunch. Had the club sandwich. The clam chowder was good. We had onion rings as appetizer and they were really good. The service was good also

Arrived on Bay Street amidst the car show event. Looking for a good bowl of Clam Chowder; this chowder was rather thin and had an odd citrus flavor. The cup was served with a package of saltines, no oyster crackers. Next time Mo's; as my companions had suggested!

Note to self: make dinner reservation if you plan to downtown Florence! Bay Street had flexible seating and it's what you imagine....a simple bar/restaurant. They do have an amazing drink menu and I tried their seasonal watermelon margarita- a bit too sour! They were pretty generous with the alcohol. They also have special items that are good too. My favorite was the oyster shooter- you will get seafood here! Other than that, service was kind of slow. But then again, while at the coast you're suppose to take it easy and relax. Overall I will return.

The only reason for the third star is is our server (with tattooed legs) was polite and honest!! She was kind women. I ordered the southwest salad, I could have used more salad... Ya know the thing that makes it a salad... Boyfriend had a burger with a small hamburger patty?? We think it was there. The sweet potato fries were pretty good, but mostly just a bland lunch. Stop for a beer skip the food!

Came into town and took my Grandmother to dinner. She picked the Bay Street Grille because she had been there before. I drop her at the front with my wife. I had to park two blocks away because there is limited parking in old town. I had it inside and the ladies had been seated but no menus or drinks. A couple behind us was about to leave because no wait staff had come by. Finally when got our menus and ordered drinks, took 15 minutes. We couldn't understand where the waitress was, it was only us and another table. The place was empty, a few people drinking at bar but bartender was helping them. The manager was talking at the bar too. I order the Porterhouse Steak, my wife had the chicken cordon blue and my grandma had the Shrimp Scampi Pasta. My grandma and I got salads with our dinner and my wife got clam chowder. Fast forward 40 minutes, we hadn't seen our waitress and didn't get our clam chowder or salads. We decided that enough was enough, and we got our jackets to leave. We were just putting our jackets on when the waitress showed up with our dinner. She seem quite confuses, we explained that we were tired of waiting and were leaving. But since our food was there we stayed. A few minutes later the manager came over. Asked what the problem was, we explain the long wait and she began to argue that the food was made fresh and that takes time. She didn't care what we said, she was firm that we were just inpatient. I told her about the salads and finally accept fault. We told her if we would have gotten them the wait would have been a big deal. But 40 mins for salads was crazy. Manger said sorry about salads and left. We ate dinner, food was good but overpriced. My steak was cooked just the way I like it. Waitress brought out our salads and clam chowder by then we were already into dinner. So after all of that I was very unhappy with the customer service. The manger didn't offer a discount or anything. She was rude and unprofessional. Overall the food was bad but the service sucked!. Seem like they need new staff.

Great drinks at affordable prices!!! we all know that going to the beach usually comes with increased pricing, but here it was more affordable. Service was prompt and good, and the outside seat- while limited- was great in the afternoon sun!

  • Gary T.

Food was OK, prices fair. Service is woefully inadequate, and time from order to table dreadfully long!

    (2)
  • Suzanne D.

Prices are reasonable for reasonable food. Nothing fancy, but okay. The decor could use a little love as well. We went on a Monday night late and had no issues with service or wait time. I had the crabcake entree, they needed more seasoning, less red pepper mayo. They were also over cooked. They need to brush up on presentation. They are close, but no cigar.

We sat outside which was really nice. Although, it took what felt like forever to get our order taken. Then it literally took about a half an hour to get a meal for 2 people, one of which was just a house salad. The fish n chips was good although the coleslaw sucked. The lettuce on my salad was brown.

    (2)
  • Justin C.

This is the second time we have stopped here while visiting the coast and we have yet to be disappointed. Prices are actually really reasonable and their clam chowder is one of the best on the coast. My wife and I shared the pan fried oysters and still got very large portions. Everything was amazing!! Even the coleslaw was uniquely delicious.

Hard working bartender and wait staff. I know this because I had an hour and ten minutes to watch them. We ordered 2 sodas, a cup of clam chowder, fish and chips, and a salad. Got the soup and drinks right away. 50 minutes later waitress informs us that our ticket was behind that of a large party, and that it would be right out. 10 minutes later she came back and told us it would be 3 minutes. 10 minutes later, we left an appropriate amount for the soup and drinks plus tip on the table and left. We got half a block when the bartender came out and yelled to us that it was at the window. We had no reason to believe that, so we kept going. Seriously, it was a salad and fish and chips. No quarrel with the wait staff, but I don't know what went on in their kitchen that evening. The clam chowder wasn't bad, but I can't offer an opinion on the rest of the food since we never got it. This place might not be a bad choice since it's on the south coast of Oregon. As beautiful as this area is, we discovered that it really isn't a foodie destination.

Worst crab cakes ever. I couldn't taste any crab, lots of salty bread crumbs only. The fries we're okay but not hot, like these we're done first and left on a plate too long? I've eaten here before and had okay fish-n-chips, pretty standard fair for the coast. The service was on the slow side considering the restaurant was only half full. I'm not sure I'd come back here.

Friendly bartender and nice atmosphere. The liquor infusions were delicious. Tables seemed to get orders in a timely manner. Steady flow of business indicated both regulars and tourists frequent this location.

Went with hubby for lunch. He had shrimp melt and pork stew and said it was excellent. I had the clam chowder which was touted as homemade. Without a doubt the worst I've ever had. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I've had better out of a can. Garlic fries were decent but a bit soggy.

    (2)
  • Loretta F.

My family and I were visiting town and decided to try this place because everywhere else is packed. The food was decent and the prices were reasonable for seafood, but the service was way too slow to my liking - we had to wait for at least 20 minutes before they even took our order.

I love their salads and the bay st burger. you seat yourself when you first get there. dont come here if you are in a hurry. the staff is so-so everything takes a long time to get. But I do love the food so I still go when I am not in a hurry.

Our first choice, because my friend has a small bladder, was not the best choice. Service was pleasant and quick, almost too much so. Huge selection of alcohol, so probably a good place to drink. In our experience, not a great place to eat. My burger was overcooked and dry, and my friend said her fries tasted "green". Not sure what that meant, but it wasn't good. It was overpriced for what we got. I would probably go back here to drink, because there were lots of choices. But I wouldn't choose to eat again.

    (2)
  • Sara F.

Although things started out well, my dinner was terrible. The salmon was WAY overcooked and I think they may have been having some difficulties in the kitchen because it took awhile for the food to come out. Appetizer of calamari was good, however--definitely recommended! The drink that I had was rather creative and tasted just like banana laffy taffy. The waitress was sweet, but disappeared for chunks of time. The bathrooms were nice and it wasn't too rowdy of a place... It was a Sunday evening, however. I would probably give this place another try to see if, given another evening or circumstance, the experience would improve.

Visiting the Oregon Coast on vacation, we went into town to find a good place for lunch. We just walked in here seemed okay, ordered our drinks and were carded multiple times even by the same waitress twice. Our appetizer was amazing so we figured the food would be the same, but when we got it, my boyfriend's had a bug on one of the lemons. We got the waitress ' s attention and showed her she just took it and ran away, didn't apologize or make and effort to make our experience better. We should have gotten discounted or something, I'd never go back there.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with one other person and we had no problem finding a table. I loved the ambience with nice cool jazz playing overhead and warm lighting throughout. Televisions were above the bar playing sports for those wanting to watch a game. The noise coming from the kitchen was a little loud and distracting though. The tables were spread out far enough it didn't feel like you were sitting on top of one another. I ordered a cheeseburger with extra cheese and fries. I thought the food was tasty and fresh. It did take awhile to get our dishes so don't come here if you're on a tight schedule. The server was pleasant and provided refills without me having to flag her down. Prices were on par with other cafe/grills. Overall I give this place a thumbs up!

  • Daniel C.

We have been waiting over an hour for our food, 15 minutes to have our order taken, and another 15 until our beers arrived, while people at the bar arrived after us, ordered after us and were served immediately. We had to even ask for our drinks, they didn't even just show. Not even my son's drink has arrived. I can't even tell you how the food is, because we haven't been told even how long it going to take. If we weren't so hungry, and didn't actually have our beers, we would have left a long time ago.

When this place first opened, we really enjoyed the ambiance, food and drink. We still visit about 2x a year when we go to Florence, and have noticed a steady decline over the years. This last time over the weekend, we sat in a booth that was very worn and dirty. The "cushion" needs to be replaced desperately, as it was torn, very dirty and no longer even fits the seating area. Each time we would shift, the cushion would hit the cord of the "nightlight" on the table, causing the light to short out (fire hazard). The veggie burger was pretty good, though the fries were soggy. The ciabatta bun is always a nice touch. The chowder was just ok, and the sweet potato fries seem to be what was left at the bottom of the bag, so I got a plateful of tiny, thin odds and ends pieces.

    (3)
  • Linnea E.

Food is pretty good. burgers have a small patty compared to the amount of bun, but tastes good. Fries were kind of soft, squishy - seemed like they weren't fresh. Service is incredibly slow. took us over an hour to have lunch, which was just 2 burgers and fries, and the place wasn't full.

  • Adam Z.

There is no water view here but the food and service are great and they have some slots in the back! I liked the clam chowder and my kids loved it. it's the type that has a little tartness in it like from sour cream. I got halibut fish and chips and they were tasty and the bay street burger with ham bacon eggs cheese and beef was awesome! kids meals were pretty good as well.

Incredibly disappointed with dinner on 08/01/13. Small group of us (7) walked in and ordered appetizers...Brie with hazelnuts was excellent, (best food of night), crab cakes were drowned in sauce and fried clam strips were greasy and tough. Our entrees were no better. From the fish and chips to the halibut, the food was just disappointing. Much was over cooked and under seasoned. Unfortunately the service was slow and unresponsive.as well Two in our party had eaten at Bay Street before and had recommended it. We won't be visiting again.

The food is very good. For an appetizer we shared the clams. So very good. For dinner we has the parmesan incrusted halibut and the cod fish and chip. Have to say outstanding. The service staff really lack in customer service. It was like she was mad at us for coming. But overall very good food!!!

We have had so many great meals in Florence using Yelp. Bay Street Grille, was listed as a steakhouse, had good reviews, so we decided to try it. I guess all things are subjective, especially food. Anyway, my husband had a bacon wrapped filet. It was only mediocre and had a large gristle. I had crab cakes that had big pieces of unknown substance that couldn't be chewed and it wasn't crab shell. Besides they were so tough I had to use a knife to cut them. I have never had a crab cake of that consistence. They didn't taste like crab cakes either. The sauce on them was supposed to be a Red Pepper Aoli. Isn't aoli supposed to have some garlic taste to it? I know it has had ever other place I have had it. In addition to that, we both had a fair salad though the bleu cheese dressing was really thin. And to complete this terrible dinner were baked potatoes that had the texture of boiled potatoes and extremely over cooked baby carrots - the kind you get at your supermarket in a plastic bag. There was nothing really good about either meal and this is not a cheap place to eat. The one redeeming factor was the delightful waitress. I will have to say we did not tell anyone at the restaurant that our dinners were awful. I mean, what could we say - these were both some of the worse food we have ever eaten? No, we just paid our good size bill and left. Now we are hoping that Yelp will save some other poor souls from the same fate - really, really, bad food.

Spent a couples vacation in Waldport w friends Memorial weekend... we were SO tired of the food there. So we headed back home w/o breakfast... made it to Florence and decided to hit Old Towne and eat at one of the restaurants we'd been to before. The parking was a bit rough being a holiday weekend, but just our luck, a car pulled out of a spot on Bay Street. Across the street was Bay St. Grille and a cute little italian joint. We were reading the menu at Bay St. Grille trying to decide if we were going to eat there, when this couple seated at a table said.. COME IN.. FOOD IS GREAT!... My BF ordered a BBQ burger (the special) w onion rings and bacon on the burger with garlic fries for $8.95... wow... good price. I saw RAZOR CLAMS on the menu for $12.95... great price. I asked if they could make me a Razor Clam sandwich (like the Fish or Halibut sammy on the menu). Our lunches were REALLY really REALLY good! My R.C. sammy was the biggest sandwich I have ever had in my life and the clams were cooked perfectly. I am picky... I have returned razor clams at other restaurants, because I know how to cook them!!! I ordered my sammy with the sweet potato fries! YUM!!! They charged me $10.95 for my lunch and I think they piled THREE or FOUR huge razor clams on my ciabatta (sp?) bread. Oh, by the way... the bread was delicious!!! Next time we go to Florence... I know where I'm going and what I'm ordering. My BF's lunch was very good and his garlic fries were crisp, perfectly done w just the right amount of fresh garlic. The service was nice... the beer was cold and priced fairly. I was comparing this meal to a breakfast we'd had in Waldport at the Blue Whale... $13 chicken fried steak.. the meat was very gristly, not enough gravy.. and we were thankful for the pancakes, because how can you mess that up? Their pancakes were great! Compare that to my $11 lunch and my honey's $9 meal.. and there is just nothing to compare... we will be back... on the Harley... as soon as the sun comes out! =)

Not good. Not good at all. The staff seemed pleasant enough however we chose a table by the door and there were several "little" guests coming in and out. Mice! At least six of them. Totally grossed us out. We tried to get past it and moved to higher ground(the bar.) When the food FINALLY came out it was not good at all. I mean, my seafood pasta was ok, it was edible, it may have been fine where it not for the mental toll the vermin took on me, but the "wild pacific" salmon was the worst fish I've ever tasted. Serious bummer because we were very hungry after a long day of travel and we had to get somewhere to eat before closing. The waitress(night manager) comped the salmon but would not comp the one glass of house wine. That was her mistake. I ended up paying for the pasta and a glass of wine, left her a $2 tip(I'm not going to leave 20% in this case of course,) and we left hungry. If she would've just said, "Hey, I understand, no one wants to see mice in a restaurant, and yes that salmon is very dry," I would have tipped her on the whole meal but she was a bit combative and tried to stand her ground and explain to us that mice are normal in Florence eateries. Bummer, I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I feel totally right about writing one in this case. Don't eat there. Yuck.

I couldn't give negative stars so they get one. That one star represents the effectiveness of rodent control, evidenced by the mouse running around the front of the restaurant. The wait staff tried their best but when every table has to wait over an hour for food service they are afraid to come to the tables. I complained to the hostess and she made an excuse that they were very busy. I turned and pointed to the dinning room that had exactly four tables occupied. She then got some guy wearing a t-shirt to who I assume was an owner to talk to me. He promptly accused me of making a scene and told me I could "take it outside". His attitude quickly changed when I got loud and asked if they wanted me to start talking about their rodent problem. Our food came out from the kitchen soon after. A completely under cooked filet, an over done cheese burger, a chicken sandwich completely wrong. All served by the hostess who continued to make excuses. The best show of the night was the table behind us went out the front door and turned several customers away before they could make the mistake we had made. Simply the worst dinning experience ever!

My friend and I walked in on an empty Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. We immediately felt as though we were an inconvenience to the two employees. We didn't feel welcome. After we were seated, we decided immediately what we wanted and set out menus aside and waited. And then we waited some more. We ordered a fish sandwich and the clam strips. There was an unbearable amount of sand in the clam strips, When we told our server about the issue, she proceeded to tell us that we shouldn't have ordered them. They come from a manufacturer and are frozen, and there is nothing they can do about how they are prepared. (Why would you A: serve them on your menu, and B: not tell people when they are ordering, that you would personally suggest something else.) The fries that came with both of our dishes were soggy from oil that wasn't hot enough. They were dark brown and tasted like dirty oil. We ordered our fries as garlic fries. One order came with no garlic, and on the other order, came with nearly three tablespoons of minced, raw garlic on top. Again, inedible. And I love garlic. They didn't charge us for the clam strips and fries that we didn't eat, which was good. They did however go on the other side of an open kitchen divider wall, and talk about us for 15 minutes before offering us our bill........

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on our way out of town on a Saturday around 4:30. The place was completely empty, which was a red flag as all the surrounding restaurants were full. In a bit of a hurry to eat and hit the road home, we quickly ordered. Crab melts for she and I and the kids mac and cheese for my toddler. The food came out quickly enough, but what we got was such a let down. I will refrain from being overly descriptive when I describe how bad the sandwiches were. Cold, soggy, tasted like it had been previously frozen. My son's mac and cheese was literally from a box. Either Kraft or generic, I don't know. But for 5.00 boxed macaroni is the best you got? Once our food was served we were given no more attention. Eventually the check came and then we waited and waited (approximately 20 minutes) for the waitress to come get it. We were literally the only guests there and a quick lunch of terrible sandwiches and boxed mac and cheese took over an hour to be served and paid for. In summary, this place was a disaster. The food was awful and I was angry I had to give money for the cold, wet lean cuisine I was given.

Great burger on the Bay Front street of Florence. The cutest lady took our order and was truly delightful! A place I would take family from out of town for a coastal dinner experience.

The service was pretty okay, compared to the rest of Oregon's restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and they all worked together to make sure we were happy. We were eating around 6pm, so a little earlier than the standard dinner crowd - I imagine it would get quite a bit loud later in the evening. The food was a quite good and really big servings (although the leftovers didn't reheat well). I enjoyed the Chicken Cordon Bleu, unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were cold. Other than that, really no complaints.
