Always stop here when in Florence. The blizzards are not the best. Tasted like ice milk or I would have given them 5 stars. We go for the root beer. It is hard to find a real A & W, not the KFC/A & W places.

The food here is a little to greasy for me, plus it seems a little dirty. I would not recommend eating here.

Those root beer floats... Mmm. Once we spotted it, we had to go. This location was especially memorable because it's still old-school - you can pull in and order at your parking space and they'll bring your food out to you.

We usually stop here for a quick bite when we're in the area. Staff is friendly and seem to care about customers. I was very impressed when one of the girls came back out and gave me extra bacon because they thought that they may have forgotten (they didn't) Also the food is better than some a&w's I've been to. The restaurant is clean but you have to go outside and to the side of the building for the restroom, and I don't like that...but it is clean. Cheese curds rule! But a&w, please bring back mushroom poppers.

A must if you are in Florence!!!! This is an original A&W not the fake KFC/A&W. The food is hot and fresh. I had to take some with me for the road. I stop by every time I'm in town. They have A&W root beer and you can bring in your own container and they will fill it up.

Lots of unhealthy fried food. We stopped for the nostalgia, but regretted it afterwards.

Drove by and had to stop! The A & W of our youth. Drive in with curb side service and the infamous tray in the window. We ordered cheeseburger meals with fries and of course a rootbeer. It was wonderful. Service was excellent! Would definitely stop in here again if in the area.

Was driving north and stopped here for lunch. Went in to order and they had a full house....there were 4 people ahead of me that as it turned out were part of party of about 15. 4 or 5 people in behind me. I looked at the clock and it said 1:10 I got the to the register and ordered asking6 for my order to go. A sandwich and root beer float. Stepped aside and waited ...and waited ....and waited. Looked at the clock again and 20 minutes had passed since I ordered. Waited another 10 minutes and realized the people who had order behind me were getting their orders. Hmmmm? Went up to the register and asked 'how soon' and the response was 'we're kind of busy...(duh) 'your order will be ready soon' Waited another 5 minutes and was about ready to go back and they called my # Bottom line; good food .....BAD service

I've been eating here since I moved to Florence back in 1998 and make sure to stop every time I come home from college! I LOVE getting real food in a casual environment and at a decent price. It's criminal there's more McGrossies then A&Ws :-(

Soooooo slowwwwwww! We only ordered ice cream items and it took a good 20 minutes once ordered. Otherwise it was tasty!

Root beer floats like the old days! Price is reasonable for fresh food. I'd give them 5 stars if the service was just a little bit faster.

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for this A&W...this as well the Dairy Queen just across the bridge as you first enter town from the south and the Taco Time (49-cent Taco Tuesdays!!) were the only fast food restaurants in town when I lived in Florence for a few fateful years in the very early 90s. This A&W had some of the best bacon cheeseburgers ever...whenever I pass the one in Marin on 101 north of SF, I dream of the one much further north in Florence. Now, Florence has the standard array of fast food chains - a McDonald's moved into town as I was moving out, but when I come by next week for my first visit to the area in 8 years, I'm heading straight to this old school A&W for a root beer float, at the very least.

Old school drive-in hamburger joint with good burgers, fries and of course root beer. I go to A&W every time I'm in Florence!
