This coffee cafe has it all. Amazing coffee (not exaggerating - try the cold brew), great food (go for the mexican wrap) and a staff that deserves several gold stars! Located in what looks similar to a strip mall, I wasn't expecting much. But upon stepping in, I felt immediately welcome by the nice staff and comfy decor. Such a cool chandelier! I could have spent hours here. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

We needed a place to work remotely (with Wi-Fi) on the afternoon of 5/13/15 so we visited Stomping Grounds. The staff was friendly, coffee was delicious, and establishment was clean. If I had one complaint it would be the other customers! While we were here we heard one lady complain about her food (after it seemed like she finished it) saying it was "too hot". The staff apologized (sincerely) and offered to issue a refund but the woman declined. Personally if I have an issue with my food and plan to bring it up, I'd do it before I was getting up to leave -- maybe that's just me. Then there was this lady outside with her dog who opened the door asking, scratch that, demanding for someone to come out and help her because she couldn't bring the dog inside. The staff was busy and it's obvious that this is the type of place where you go up to the counter and order. It's not the staff's fault that you decided to bring your dog here and didn't figure out how you were going to order. She sat outside and someone came out to take her order (I don't think I would have). Props to the staff for being able to roll with these crazy customers! If we're ever in that area again then we'll definitely make a stop again!

Stopped by this place on the way to the falls and loved it. The atmosphere is so cute and spacias. Most importantly the coffee is delicious and the Mexican wrap was great as well. The staff was so nice too. I will come back for sure.

I love the atmosphere and the service here! It's a great place to sip a latte while you read a book. The pastries are my favorite part and the coffee is good if you like Portland Roasting. This is my favorite coffee shop in the Gresham area.

A great space that feels full of people but not crowded. It is well staffed by perky (coffee pun intended) coffee slingers who seem not to hate their jobs. I had a Spanish Mocha that was delicious. .. both Mocha-y and Spanish-y. I will be back!

One of my favorite coffee houses This is where one of my friends always meet up. Good selection of some unique drinks. And they participate in teacher discount during teacher appreciation week!

What an awesome coffee house. It is huge. I hope it is here next year, too. My husband said he could wait for me here while I go shopping. It has several sofas and couches, besides some small tables. Their coffee is really good and they also offer pastries and sandwiches. Great place. I am not sure if they have free wi-fi, but I am sure they probably would.

for the east side, it's a comfortable and spacious place to chill and just hang out. I usually order their spiced chai. I've also had their gluten free quiche. it was okay for breakfast. the place is usually busy morning and afternoons.

Stopped in before a long hike in the gorge area and picked up Spanish mochas and some wraps to go for the trail. The staff were so cheerful and helpful and whipped up amazing sandwiches, that they wrapped up special, to fit in our backpacks (instead of boxes). The coffees were to die for. Stop in here!

Really outstanding little shop we lucked out and found! They have awesome coffee, excellent service, and they offer a nice range of snacks/pastries/full blown sandwiches. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee and both were out of bounds! Excellent coffee shop, we will be back!

This is, thus far, the best coffee place we've found in the Portland metro area. It's cute, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is fantastic. Stomping Grounds has a lot of unique flavored coffee drinks that you won't find at any Starbucks, and next to Stumptown, this is a breath of unpretentious air. Thank you, Stomping Grounds, for being awesome. We've already visited a good half dozen times and will keep coming back for more.

I've spent months if not years of my life sitting quietly in the corners of coffee shops listing to music or writing. Since I moved to the outskirts of Portland I've been pretty upset not having a coffee shop on my corner to sit around for hours, that is until I found Stomping Grounds Coffee House. I've spent many hours here now over the last few months. They have made me feel like I'm more than just any other customer by always knowing what I want as I walk up to the counter and I'm sure they only know me as "16 oz mocha man" but that's enough for me. Pros: Quiet, Local, lots of smiles, great lunches and snacks, friendly, and beautifully decorated. Cons: Portland Roasting Coffee Company... In my opinion and only mine I don't really enjoy the brand they serve, but it hasn't kept me away. Much love for this place! I'd love to see them start thinking about hiring a roaster to roast their own beans! Then I'd be in love!

Saw this was the best place to come and get coffee in downtown Portland....it was! I told the man making the drinks we came all the way from Florida and he said welcome. He also said he does a special chocolate drink just for travelers. It was amazing and free!!! Adam was so nice and went above and beyond just making our order. Great staff, coffee, environment and music. Will be back for sure.

Love this place! It has a great feel to it and great drinks. The decor is fun and has a vintagey feel. The chalkboard wall is AWESOME. Mommy alert: there is a REAL changing table in the bathroom. That. Is. Awesome. I love that there are two separate couch areas and several tables. I had a great time having coffee with friends today.

Stopped in for the first time this afternoon and was surprised by how quaint it is. The lady that helped us was very bubbly and seemed to really enjoy her job. She gave several recommendations as well as a little back story of the shop. Our drinks were AMAZING and the prices we comparable to other shops. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop!

Stomping Grounds has a great atmosphere and is a comfortable place to grab coffee with a friend. I would not recommend for larger groups as seating can be limited during peak hours. I haven't tried much on their menu as far as food is concerned, but they do have skilled baristas that make awesome lattes. My go to place for coffee on weekends; a great place to linger over a latte with a good book or a pal.

Decent coffee, cool atmosphere, but I went in on a very slow day (4 total people in line, including us) and my single latte took almost 10 minutes. So don't expect expedient service.

I love unusual coffee and tea drinks! We stopped here for our morning coffee during my visit and I really liked the place. I had planned to try one of their specialty mochas but then I couldn't resist ordering from their fall menu and getting the French Toast Chai. It was delicious! The usual chai spices were there but it also had a yummy maple flavor. My brother had a regular mocha which was also quite good. Mellow vibe, comfortable seats, and a modest parking lot- if I lived here I would want to be a regular!

Fast and friendly service. Their coffee is excellent! I always eye the treats in the pastry case but I've yet to try them.

Very good espresso. Staff is young, cute and friendly. No disappointment here. I usually get my order to go but the atmosphere is cozy. Don't think anybody could be disappointed with this place for coffee.

While both Google and Yelp brought me here for food, it turned out to be a cinnamon roll and chai tea kinda morning. First: the service is awesome. The people who work here really like their jobs and it shows. Great atmosphere too. The cinnamon roll: extremely delicious. Makes Cinnabon look like McDonald's. The (Spiced) chai: this is what chai tea should taste like. None of this "make it weak" crap. I can taste the spices as if I'm chewing on them. I don't live in the area, but I would definitely frequent this place if I was.

These folks are like family... Come on in, get what you want the way you want it. Cost is reasonable. Atmosphere is peaceful, and relaxing.

Yesssss! On a scale of 1-5, this place is awesome! Seriously though, I frequent a lot of the most serious coffee places in Portland and Stomping Grounds is right on par. If I didn't live 30 miles away, I would probably live here... I mean IN the shop. As soon as I walked in here, I felt like I could take a deep breathe and just relax. But, what about the coffee?? I have to admit that I was a little skeptical because, lets face it, I'm in Longview. Plus I noticed the "premium coffee" sign out front. Usually when a coffee shop doesn't name drop their roaster, it means they're not brewing anything that you've heard of before. After talking with the super nice barista (right before closing time too) who happened to also be the owner, I found out that they use Portland Roasting! Long story short, my cappuccino was delicious. Big shop. Free Wifi. Plenty of seating. Great coffee. If you find yourself within 15 minutes of here, go.

This was a nice coffee shop. The staff was friendly along with good coffee. My only concern was the lounge chairs. They are very worn out and really need to be updated. But, I would come back.

I always drive past this place but finally decided to check it out. Super cute decor, uber cozy, spacious seating, and the barista was really sweet! Ordered a peach/pomegranate Italian Soda which tasted delish!

Wonderful new spot to sip some excellent coffee while seated inside or out. The staff here is very friendly. My 'awakening' type mocha tasted great and they will accomodate to make sugar/fat free! Cool atmosphere and neat decor. Free wi fi is a major plus too! They also have lunch specials in addition to some good looking pastries. I will certainly return!

The chicken currey salad is delicious, and if you have food issues, they will turn your sandwich into a lettuce wrap that even my kids enjoyed.

I love everything about Stomping Grounds Coffee House. The staff is wonderful and the coffee is delicious! The drink selections are creative and you can't go wrong. My favorites are the Spanish mocha, the awakening, an the spiderweb mocha! The atmosphere is cozy and hip and the same time, I love to come her, grab and drink and work via their free wifi. I haven't tried their regular pastries, but the pumpkin cupcakes during the fall are amazing! The sandwich selections are great as well. I've never had the soup, but if it is like everything else at SG then you're in for a great!

Great place to have something to drink (since I don't drink coffee, I always look for the alternatives) and have a quick bite. Great muffins and such. The staff is always nice, and they smile when you come in. Also, this is a great place to work on your laptop, chat softly on your phone, or have a chat with someone else. Very laid back, spacious, and lots of seating. It is my place to go in Gresham to meet for business.

I go here like every morning. This place deserves no less than 5 stars. Greeted by all employees. Have had almost every coffee on menu and even a few lunch items. All made to perfection every time. Love how they have a special coffee drink each week. Love the stamp card free drink. Place is very, very clean and has a comfy home feel. Bathrooms are really clean too. Plenty of parking outside, and plenty of seating inside. Even went to a concert here one night and was pretty chill.
