Awesome selection of drinks especially whiskey. And some pretty good grub too, all reasonably priced. I'd recommend it for a couple quiet drinks and a meal.

New place -- super cozy, nice service, good prices. The bartender brought us Cards Against Humanity, and the deck had been curated to have only fun cards, THEY TOOK OUT THE BORING CARDS, yahoo!

I almost don't want to write this review, because The Pint Pot is a perfectly sized, smallish corner bar. It has a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and it feels very open. There's outdoor seating in front, as well as a fenced area out back. The fare is what you'd expect from an Irish/English themed bar. Bangers and mash, soda bread, meat samplers, corned hash and, strangely enough, poutine. The drinks reflect this as well, with offerings including Guinness, Smithwicks and a variety of whiskey and scotch. The tap beer runs at $5, with Guinness at $5.50. Cans of Boddingtons and Coors are slightly less. I overheard the bartender saying that the second shot in a double is priced at half the liquor's base cost, though. I didn't try the food on my first visit, but the guy next to me ordered three dishes, and seemed to enjoy them all. There are two televisions, one at the end of the curved bar, as well as one in front of a seating area with various felt couches and arm chairs. They were broadcasting college baseball while I was there, but they are working to show soccer games as well. The place is quiet right now, so it seems great for work, but its hard to tell how popular this place will become. I hope they succeed, but the building is very intimate. If you're doing laundry at Emerald next door, then there's no better way to pass the hour.

This is my new favorite restaurant! The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. We got the quail eggs, bangers and mash, and the beef stew (the best stew I have ever had!). The pub is nicely decorated and clean. All the drinks we ordered were well made; my favorite drink was the Moscow Mule with whiskey.

A small irish pub near downtown in Eugene, The Pint Pot is very small, but the atmosphere makes it very inmate. Food is delicious. Bangers and mash with onion gravy is very good. Large selection of irish beers and whiskey.

I am giving this terribly charming little pub 4 stars for the decor and the drinks only. They have super friendly staff, an impressive whiskey selection and the only truly perfect pint of Guinness nitro in town. So very delicious! The food, however is shite. Anyone who would microwave Shepard's Pie with instant mashed potatoes should be ashamed of themselves. Go for the fabulous spirits, the comfortable surroundings, and avoid the greasy, disgusting Irish shortcut menu.

Been here several times and love it every time. Food is fantastic and drinks are great. My only criticism would be that they run or of things a lot it seems, although they are new so hopefully that is remedied

I am giving it a 4 star for atmosphere. I really like the ambiance of the place. I also like the selection of whiskey, scotch and bourbon. The food was so so and the sizes were quite small. The poutine dish was pretty good although Im sure it was not real cheese curds on it. It was quite tastey though. I would definitely go back and I would order food again there. Seems like a cool place just to hang out.

Never been to Ireland but felt I got pretty close here! The bartender is cool and helpful, the beer is great, and the garlic fries are delicious, plus they have five different hot sauces for them if you wish! Seating is limited but that's what gives you a cozy feeling, or could be all the whiskey that's available

If your into microwaved food come here. I asked the bartender if the food was microwaved only because I could hear and slightly see the microwave his response was " we use a 80%oven and 20% microwave." Ha that's bs they use a microwave. If I wanted microwaved foods I would eat at gas stations. These kind of places really offend me.

Had a great time at The Pint Pot tonight. It's got great ambience a fun local pub to be with friends. They have all European beers on tap and serve a great pint of Guinness. The Shepherds Pie was one of the best I have had, seriously. I thought the corned beef had good flavor, but it was a little tough. I'll definitely be back.

Well i should clarify, the food SOUNDED bomb. I typed before i tasted. Oops. Maybe it was an off day?

I have to say this is the closest pub to Ireland your going to get in Eugene. The ambiance is great the staff is super friendly and most importantly...POUTINE is on the menu! Plus what goes better with a brew than some Irish food!

Very comfy and warm atmosphere- the food is amazing and the drinks are reasonable. Great place to relax and enjoy something unique in Eugene.

What a cool Irish pub for Eugene! I loved the selection of whiskeys, and there was no fireball so surely this will not turn into a college bar.... I loved the intimate enviroment, and the small outdoor patio was great for a nice summer day. Even the restrooms were clean (and smelled good)! The food looked delicious, but we had just eaten a huge lunch so I did not sample any of the irish delights. I recommend the irish coffee, it is made with brown sugar and cream (no baileys) and was delicious!

Celebrated my husband's 50th here tonight with another couple. Tried the scotch eggs, pretzel, bangers and mash, Irish stew, and some coddle. Everyone was happy with their food and with the drinks. Had a nice selection of cigars from Cigars on 7th. So hubby was very happy when we went outside so he could enjoy a cigar and some port. Not often that he unwinds like that, so it was a nice surprise that we could enjoy it all in one place. Server was super helpful too. Well done!

My husband and I have been in this meat and potato mood lately. This place totally delivered. We had scotch quail eggs, shepherds pie, and a scoop of colcannon with a couple of good beers. Newcastle was on tap, woohoo! Everything was tasty and prompt. The scotch eggs are baked rather than fried which I liked. The bartender was nice and offered a good beer suggestion. The constant stream of Irish drinking songs made me want to chug a bottle of whiskey and cry under the table, but I resisted, this time. Good place, more of a bar than a restaurant, I'll definitely go back.

I would really like to give this place 3 1/2 stars but since Yelp doesn't do half-stars (c'mon!) I'll be nice and round up. The food is really good, especially the items on the starter menu - the scotch eggs were really well-made, the charcuterie is one of the best I've had (probably due to the Irish cheeses and the duck confit) and the pretzel is no joke: very large and the cheese sauce and mustard are really good. The poutine has really nice gravy with a good flavor and not too salty, plus the cheese and duck confit on top (it's optional) added great flavor and texture. I thought the kale salad was a little weak, the balsamic didn't really stick to the salad but the ingredients were nice and fresh. The Irish stew was really fantastic, probably my favorite thing off of the dinner menu; I also really loved their bangers and mash which has locally-made sausages that are really flavorful. Probably my least favorite thing here was the shepherd's pie: it didn't seem like it was cooked long enough since the crust was barely brown or crisp and the carrots and onions weren't quite tender, and yet the meat was a bit tough and gamey (granted it's lamb but still a bit tough). Probably my biggest issue with this place is the fact that both times we have come here all of our food has come out at the same time - multiple starters and entrees, which leaves you with the unpleasant decision of how to eat everything fast enough that it doesn't get cold. I wish they'd stagger it a bit more, so something to work on. They have a nice beer and whiskey selection and I appreciate that they stick to their Irish/Scottish/UK roots and don't just serve a bunch of local IPAs simply because it's the trend here. The service is good, if a tad bit overbearing, but it's better to be friendly than rude so I can't complain about that. I'm happy to have a place in town to get some Irish grub!

Awesome little spot just a block from my house. No college kids and a ton of whiskey. Good beers on tap and the food is all kinds of tasty.

Went there to play chess and had a great time. The drinks were decently priced and the food was good (garlic fries and the pretzel). Their mustard was great, kind of addicting. Finally, the place itself is cozy and awesome. I love their chairs next to the "fireplace."

Was a nice quaint Irish pub with great selection of drinks especially the whiskey. Food was very good and well priced with good sized portions. Kind of in a weird spot but definitely worth a try. They got cozy seating, a nice patio and TVs for your viewing pleasure, oh also a plethora of board games to boot.

The Pint Pot is a mirror image of Irish pubs and taverns littered all throughout the east coast, especially NYC and Boston: Extensive whiskey menu, Guinness on nitro draft as well as other Scottish ales and brews, unique beer list for all drafts and bottles/cans, tiny interior with outdoor patio, very fun bar with two TVs and skilled, attentive bartenders, and very good food. I love their Poutine, Bangers and Mash and Irish stew. I was not that impressed with the corn beef, was a bit tough, but I am a corn beef snob of the highest order. The Pint Pot is simply one of my favorite pubs in Eugene.

Great place to go for a few drinks and delicious food! They had a St.Patty day block party with awesome music, traditional all the way. Small but cozy, their stew was flavorful and had soda bread served alongside, I plan on checking out more of the menu. Reasonably priced too!

My husband and I had a very mixed experience at the Pint Pot. The staff was friendly, but they didn't have very good table service. Food: I ordered the lamb stew, and it was amazing. Very authentic. My husband ordered the bangers and mash, because he'd heard it was also authentic. It wasn't. First, the gravy had a skin on the top, like it had set under a heat lamp for too long, like maybe they didn't time things right when they were cooking the sausages? It didn't look at all appetizing. Second, the gravy was really strong - it really overpowered the potatoes and the sausage, which by itself was a little bland. I understand they get their meats locally (at Long's) but these weren't seasoned much, especially compared to the gravy which was over seasoned. Service: my husband and I ordered our drinks at the same time, but he ordered his meal ahead of me not realizing that I needed another minute to decide. When our drinks arrived, I had decided what to order for dinner. Of course, his meal came out a full ten minutes before mine (and somehow still had that skin on the gravy? It made me question if they make food to order or if they had an extra one sitting around and decided to use that?) Lastly, when we were finished eating, the server gave us the check without asking if we wanted anything else - which we did. We wanted another round of drinks before we left. My husband still had half a Guinness left so I told the server that I'd order my drink when my husband ordered his. But the server brought me a beer anyway. A beer that I didn't even order. I was thinking about ordering another mixed drink, but before I could even get his attention, he was gone. At that point, I figured "screw it" and I just drank the beer. Now, I know I take longer than the average person to decide on stuff, but that wasn't good service. And the food was a mixed bag. We'll probably go back, because I want to like this place. I just hope that next time, we have a better experience.

They did the BEST job decorating and creating the perfect cozy Irish pub atmosphere here! Drinks and food are perfectly paired, yet a little pricey. Not sure how authentic their Irish vibe is, but they had me fooled! Plus they had tons of board games to play that I haven't seen since I was a kid. Cheers!

Great little pub. Plenty of whisky choices and really good food. Cozy is the best description of the place. Beers are Irish so there isn't 50 taps like a lot of places in Eugene, but I think that is a good thing.

Best AUTHENTIC Irish pub in town. All top shelf! Nothing bad on the menu, and no better place to go in town for St. PATRICK'S DAY!

A friend and I visited the Pint Pot for dinner while in Eugene for a conference. The place is very small and cozy and decorated to match its old Irish pub theme. Because the place is small, the noise level was very low and made it very easy to carry on a conversation while enjoying a Back & Tan. The Pint Pot has full bar service and a limited but excellent menu. I ordered a traditional Bangers and Mash which was the best I've had. There was no dinner meal on the menu over $12. The service was prompt and friendly. Located near the university, I noted on a Wednesday night that most patrons were between 21 and 30. The clientele reminded me a lot of the peaceful but colorful people you associate with downtown Olympia, WA. The ONLY things that keep me from giving this place a full five stars are (1) the limited seating, and (2) the hardness of the bench seats should you use them. Neither of those would stop me from recommending this place to anyone who enjoys a fine Irish pub.

The Pint Pot is a gem in Eugene; a small Irish pub that boasts a lot of local personality. This bar was directly across the street from the apartment we stayed at, and as such, was the first place my wife and I visited on our first trip to Eugene from Orlando. It's a personal space as much as a bar can be. Small and cozy, with a warm hearth type feeling when you walk in. The bar was being manned by Teren, and after telling him we weren't locals, he gave us the run down of the city, cool places to check out, and was generally just an awesome dude and a hell of a lot of fun to talk to. The owners eventually showed up and we wound up ordering some food and having dinner and drinks with them at the bar top. Their dinner is awesome, a traditional Irish fare, with a small, but fantastic list of entrees that go well with every drink they have, Everybody I met, working there or not, were super cool people, and totally welcoming. My wife and I came back almost every night just to meet new people and relax in this cozy place. Even in Portland, we debated heading back for a night there. Do yourself a favour. If you're in Eugene and you like good drinks, good food, and good people, go to Pint Pot.

Wife and I stopped for late lunch. Bangers & Mash and Irish Stew washed with Guinness. Great food and service. Comfratable setting and decor. Priced well. We shall return.

Really this place is just great. They have great food, the bartenders are super nice (shout out to Jameson the nicest bartender in Eugene...Eugene is full of nice bartenders but he takes the cake). This place is really cozy too and feels like a home away from home.

Hidden gem! Great food, service, and atmosphere. Awesome imports on tap and comfort foods from my childhood. Try the Shepherd's Pie!

I wish I could tell a lot of people to never go here. That is for strictly selfish reasons though, as I love this place. I just want it to stay exactly how it is: chill, relaxed, not loud, etc. To me, this is the epitome of Irish corner pubs. I found this wonderful place by doing laundry next door, and saw the new pub - they had only been open for a couple of weeks. Soon after, my boyfriend and I decided to check them out, and then go somewhere else for dinner. We were there for hours, and ate plenty. The bar is well-stocked, and they have great beers such as Smithwick's and Bellhaven. They have a sausage sampler, bangers and mash (the mash is potatoes colcannon with a great onion gravy), and scotch eggs made with quail eggs! You can get duck confit with the charcuterie board and the poutine, and you really have to try the Irish soda bread. Everything we had was very good, and they don't have a deep fat fryer! The decor is classic, there is a poker table, and an epic cribbage board. We've mostly dealt with Teren and Teddy for bartenders, each with their own charm, but both very friendly and genuine. It's small and wonderful, and I can't wait to go back, each time!

Second visit in as many days: had the poutine yesterday and a couple Scottish Stouts and was smitten! Wonderful interior: welcoming, warm, quaint but not stodgy. The poutine was delightful with a rich onion brown gravy; not the greatest I've had, but homey, savory and just right at the time. The bartender was an attentive fellow who seemed right at home in the pub atmosphere. After such a delightful (if somewhat subdued) time,I thought "let's go again!" When the wife and I were thinking about a little nosh in the early afternoon. Sadly, lightning did not strike twice. The bartender was a young woman (Ashley, if my receipt speaks true; ladybug tattoo on the back of her neck that I only mention so as to not malign someone whose name showed up on my receipt) who had absolutely no business behind a bar: inattentive, impersonal, unaware of menu and bar selections. I wish I could say something positive about her, but I can't. Not to say there isn't hope, but this review isn't about instant redemption. Ashley was inconsistent in her pour of a Guinness; sometimes tilted glass, sometimes not. Out of curiosity, I looked up the proper way to pour a Guinness: room temperature glass, tilted pour, 2/3rds full, rest for 115 seconds, finish pour. I only mention this because, if you are going to present as an Irish pub, then you damn well better pour a proper fekkin' Guinness! Don't chill your glasses and teach the art of the pour! On to the food: we ordered the Kale Salad, Pretzel with mustard and Cheese Sauce, Bangers and Mash and the Dublin Coddle. Kale salad: potentially good, but poor preparation. The dressing seemed to be on the bottom of the bowl with the greens on top and the raisins, walnuts and cheese on the top. Toss the salad. Get a rich coating of the ingredients on the leaves (the ridges are ideal for this) and give the dressing a moment to break down and liven up the greens. Pretzel: nice and pedestrian. Rich mustard. Nice flavour on the cheese sauce, even if the sauce was mighty thin. Bangers and Mash: great sausages from Long's Meat Market and delicious soda bread with cinnamon honey butter. That's the end of the positive notes for this dish; served over colcannon (mashed potatoes with green cabbage and kale), this was a bland pile of white. The kale and cabbage added little to the spooners. Salt and pepper in copious amounts couldn't salvage the starches on this dish. Season your food. Increase the amount of kale in your Colcannon to create a tapestry of texture and flavor. Dublin Coddle: delicious sausage and thick, thick bacon (oh, sweet pork lord, such thick bacon) in the dish. Once again, bland potatoes smother this dish and a dearth of broth seals the coffin. We considered the charcuterie plate, since we're both big fans of meat and cheese. Our server described it as "two kinds of salami, I think...". It was indeed, two kinds of salami; delicious, but too similar to provide a respectable variation in savories. I will give The Pint Pot another chance, if only to try the corned beef and cabbage. I want to love it. I want to love it so badly that I could forgive the food issues for the comfy couches and the Guinness (so long as I can educate them on the pour) and the warm environment. Stay tuned, true believers...

I LOVE THE PINT POT!! It really feels like a pub in Ireland. The wood and soft couches and signage all do the place the justice. I love coming in for a Guinness with black currant- it is the best combo and takes me right back to Ireland. Last time I was in I tried their pretzel.... it is insane!! It comes with the most delicious cheese sauce and mustard. I will definitely come back for that sometime soon!

I went here last night for the grand opening with my doubts but everything was wonderful. the best I can describe the decor is like walking into a pub from a j.r.r. Tolkien novel but a little bit more specific to Ireland with Irish music. The staff was so friendly and polite, and the food was excellent. My boyfriend and I decided to share a few dishes so we got the shepherd's pie, an order of the soda bread, the corned beef dinner and a kale salad. Everything was so good I wish we could have tried everything on the menu, not to mention most everything was under $12. They have a huge selection of whiskey and an okay selection of beer and wine. I hope they stay in business a long time because I will definitely be returning.

This place is stinkin' adorable. I love the attention to detail in the decor. I love that they left the original red from the previous tenant. That being said, I went here so my husband could enjoy a black and tan, but I don't enjoy Irish beer or whiskey. What's a girl to do? The very soft spoken, courteous man with the beard behind the bar could sense my dilemma and whipped me up a vodka cocktail with muddled mint. Perfect for a hot summer day. Usually I go into these beer places and feel like I won't be able to get a good cocktail, but it was executed perfectly. Beware, there is no air conditioning inside, so it was VERY hot. Thankfully there was an open spot outside.

This place is awesome!! This review is based solely on dranks/vibe/service. Teddy the bartender is really attentive, which I appreciated as a total whiskey noob. He not only let me taste a whiskey for free, but also let me sample the beers. The Belhaven cream ale is so good, and I thoroughly enjoyed a whiskey on the rocks, which is something that I never thought I'd like. Really comfortable atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable bartender, and great drinks are what make this place a 5 star little pub. Can't wait to try the food next!

Love it here. It's a great spot where you can get a taste of the cross section of people in Eugene all bumping elbows and chilling out in a warm close spot. Nice selection of whiskey and snacks. Feels like it's been there forever. In a world full of pretentious cocky bartenders these guys know what it means to treat the customer right.
