This review is aimed to temper the review Ryan P gave regarding Sunday morning service during the NFL season. This is in no way a review representative of the night-life Taylor's harbors. I was there the same day he was. I showed up with a friend at Taylor's doorsteps at 9:50 where there were already ~8 other people mulling around waiting for them to open. If I owned this place, I'd open at 9:30. The benefit to this is that your patrons would enter the establishment in a calm state with a positive mindset in anticipation of the games. When you open your door at 10:00 (kickoff being ~5 minutes away at this point) and don't even have the games up on the TVs (they have great TV coverage) you're creating a setting for impatience. The stress gets passed around when requests are made for this TV to show this game, and that TV to show the other game. This is an avoidable scenario. The staff are taxed enough having to deal with the wave of patrons. Regarding the wait staff and bartender: The place went from empty to close to capacity in ~30 minutes, and to the bartender's credit, I heard him telling new arrivals numerous times that the wait on food was an hour, though I only started hearing that around 11:00am, so Ryan P likely was not given this information until it was too late. The communication between the kitchen and front-of-house perhaps could have been quicker, but that's just conjecture. The staff weren't out of line attitude-wise from any of the interactions I had. My coffee was refilled 5 times in the 2 hours I was there. You could tell they were stressed out, but I don't hold that against them. The food: If you have an appetite, get the Griggler. It is a serious amount of biscuit, chicken-fried steak, sausage gravy, sunny eggs, and home fries. The biscuits are soft and fresh, and the home fries have diced peppers. Had I a donor I could pass my cholesterol on to, I'd eat this breakfast to my financial ruin. The quality deserves mention - they don't half-ass their breakfast. The breakfast is easily a 4-5 star for the genre considering the price:portion:quality, but since this review also effects the star average for the "Bar" aspect of Taylor's, there's no way I can rationalize a 4. Early-bird is the only way to do this place on an NFL Sunday. Get a good seat, get your order in, get a couple rounds of coffee before things get backed up.

This is the best college bar in the northwest. No debate. This place is flooded with 7's and 8's. I live in Hollywood and I've never seen as many beautiful women all in one place at the same time. Two words. Mothers weekend. I call it the 2-for-1 special. If you know what I'm saying. (*insert creepy opened chest 40 year old bus driver guy here*), $3 red bull vodkas and $2 long island iced teas? Are you kidding me? Am I being punkd? This bar understands that college students want to get drunk and drive, but how can I afford gas if the drinks are overpriced? Taylor's is awesome. Too Bad the door guy looks like an out of work MMA / UPS employee.

My Dad, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, and I all used to hang at Joe's Place in Iowa City and different times in our respective Hawkeye student days. As such, I have always had a soft spot for established College hangouts. So after my Son and I took our recent tour of the University of Oregon Campus, Lunch at Taylor's Bar & Grill was in order. There was no Ducks football on this Saturday, so the joint was nearly empty, save for a party of 6 students with boundary issues. Even on a quiet day like this, service was slow. The waiter was apologetic enough, but after watching him for awhile, it was clear that intent did not match action. At one point, my Son and I set a time 15 minutes hence that we would walk out if we weren't waited on. Our order was taken 14 minutes later. On the positive side, I enjoyed the divey "dark and casual" atmosphere (just like Joe's Place), the sports on TV, and the interesting mix of locals, students, and older Alums. Our burgers and home made chips were quite tasty, as was my IPA and my Son's bottomless glass of root beer. Best of all, our Lunch was just thing we needed to take edge off my previously hungry Son. The rest of our day went much better.

25 dollars for 4 shots of well vodka in a college town..... Overall service and atmosphere was decent. Completely overpriced, would not return.

I woke this morning and I thought to myself by golly I need some nickelback to kick this beautiful day off right. I was pleasantly suprised when I walked into Taylor's and they were playing The Nickelback, The 3 doors down, fuckin more nickelback and shit. Best day of my life, they have dope drinks and food and shit. I highly recommended. The patio is swell as well, the best place in town for checking out girls in stretchy pants. The service is just fantastic. Get your chubby buns down to this lil joint, it might just change your life
(5)Samantha T.
Came out on a wed night, and they have $1 beers from 9-10:30. I had a great time and the music is good. Def recommend when going out to bars around campus
(5)Chuck M.
Great location to campus, atmosphere was pleasant, food was just so/so, and beer was lukewarm.
(3)Kellen F.
I can sum up this bar in one quote, "I like to think of Taylors like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!" -Cal Naughton Jr Oh yeah the beer, drinks and staff are pretty great too.
(5)Jae B.
Taylor's offers you with terrible service and disgusting food. The place wasn't busy and the guy working didn't help us and didn't care about it. He set a pitcher of water on the table so my friend and I could serve ourselves while he chatted with girls at the bar. I ordered a chicken salad and was upset to see that canned chicken was used. It was ridiculous, especially for the price. Taylor's is definitely a place for university kids to drink themselves silly. It's not respectable and it's a total waste of money. If you want to eat shitty food and get wasted on cheap alcohol, this is your place! Avoid this place if you are over the age of 22 and actually appreciate good food, beverages, and service!
(1)Ian S.
Taylor's is well, Taylor's. If you're going there you've got a goal, and that's to get smashed and dance. Used to be much more grimy and crowded, however they've recently undergone some fundamental changes and it's really stepped up the quality. The new outdoor seating is highly appreciated and apparently more changes are to come. It is THE campus bar so expect it to be filled with college students during the school year.
(3)Nick G.
As others have said, Taylor's is great for going out on a Friday or Saturday night and having drinks with your friends. The weekend crowd is loud, the drinks and shots flow, and a great time is had by all. Food is alright, atmosphere so so. It's a college bar and meets that expectation with flying colors.
(3)Ryn B.
Taylors is good for getting intoxicated. When I turned 21 and wanted to spend nights out taking advantage of it, I went to Taylors first. $1 beers? $2 wells? Outdoor seating? Yes please! The bartenders and bouncers are all business. They have every fake ID imaginable on hand and don't mess around. I once had a bottle of hot sauce that was innocently resting in my bag confiscated, simply because they thought I stole it from them - I hadn't been in for months. What?? When I've gone there, I wasn't decked out in high heels and a short dress. I didn't sing a cover of "A Whole New World" or giggle with my girlfriends in the bathroom. I got drunk because of the great drink specials. If that's what you're looking for, Taylors is worth it.
(4)Jamie R.
So impressed with Taylor's Bar & Grill. We had an event there last weekend and the staff did a great job. I had an unfortunate event occur and the Bartender saw I was upset and inquired about what happened. He left and came back moments later after calling the owner of the bar and took care of the situation. I am extremely grateful and I will be a return customer. Also, the Philly beef sandwich and fries were great.
(5)barry s.
went there to have breakfast with the family before the Washington game and very disapointed to see they werent open at 10 am. No sign on door.
(4)Mark S.
Great college drinking and food bar. Lots of fun for decades, lots of drunk co-eds. A UofO classic bar.
(4)Fake Reviewer X.
I was carded here once at 1 in the afternoon, even though I have a beard whose thickness and whiteness would give Obama Bin Laden a case of insecurity. I don't mind being around the college ladies, but they seem scared by the presence. Next time, I'll find somewhere else to watch the Champions League quarterfinals.
(3)Frances W.
I don't know how else to express my disdain for this crap bar except to give my best Borat impression, so here goes: *Borat voice* Com heere if you want de finest poonani.....NOOOTTTT!
(2)Christine C.
This place rocked for what it was. I got one of their burgers but with a veggie patty on a fresh ciabatta roll and with onion rings. Everything was fresh and homemade. My stepdaughter got a sandwich that came with fantastic homemade chips. My husband had the bleu cheese burger, which not only was topped, but filled, with bacon and bleu cheese, and very juicy. And on top of it all, our server Jody was friendly, witty, and attentive. We totally stumbled upon this place and are glad we did!
(5)Taryn I.
Overcharged my debit card twice in a row! Bullshit.

My mom came home from Eugene and was telling me aall about the Juicy Lucy that she had when she visited Taylor's. Before our trip home, she begged that we needed to eat here so our party of 4 came at around 2pm, and discovered it was pretty much dead. We picked a seat and waited for about 10 minutes before the waiter brought out some menus and 4 cups and a water jug.. yup we had to pour our own water. We ended up ordering a Philly Cheesesteak meal, 2 Juicy Lucy meals, and a side order of garlic fries. Our orders arrived 20 minutes after we put in our order, which was pretty lame because we were all hungry. Philly Cheesesteak - Pretty much your standard Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It didn't impress me, but maybe my taste buds have been spoiled by The Cheesesteak Shop and Jake's Steaks in SF? Idk. Juicy Lucy - Hm, I'm not too sure what my mom was talking about, but this was just okay. Yes, I enjoyed the cheese that was cooked into the patty rather than on top of it, but it wasn't anything special. Garlic Fries - This was probably the first time I've had garlic fries without garlic on them! Wtheck right? They put garlic SEASONING on the fries which is really disappointing. For the price you're paying, you better get good ol' garlic fries smothered in garlic cloves, but nope, not at Taylor's. The food is okay, but then again there's not much of a food scene in Eugene. I probably won't be back.
(3)Marc T.
Sketchy dive bar. Hard to get bartender's attention. Watered down drinks. Overcrowded.
(2)Elvia J.
You can't go wrong with beer, so three stars is appropriate. The service on the patio is very slow. It seemed to me that only one person covered the patio and the patio was full. We didn't order food because getting drinks took awhile.
(3)Kissie D.
Oh Taylor's, what can I say, really? This is a bar that attracts the Greek life of the University of Oregon. As someone who was never part of the Greek Scene, I went to Taylor's for only certain occasions and mostly only during the summers where the amount of people in Eugene dropped by about 10 fold. Like others have mentioned, Taylor's has some good drink deals. [Dollar Beers, Wednesdays. $2 Long Island/Well Drinks, Thursdays] I never found the bartenders to be very friendly, but I did manage to make friends with the bouncers. The bathrooms usually had one to two broken, stinky stalls and getting to the bar was a nightmare. My friends and I would go for Dollar Beers on Wednesday nights, get there when they start @ 9 and then leave before the mass of people arrived. Or, if we did stay, it was because we scored one of the few-to-come-by booths and could just sit and people watch. If you're trying to avoid Greek life, then you probably should not go there. But if it's one of those nights where you feel like you just want to laugh--then laugh at the ridiculousness of what happens at Taylor's. Be forewarned though - what happens at Taylor's, does NOT stay at Taylor's.
(2)Matty M.
Mike the waiter is the only reason this place gets any stars at all. He's awesome but the waiters are d bags who contradict themselves while trying to act tough while kicking out nice people.
(1)Tyler J.
Worst management I've ever seen. I work in a bar so i know how one should be run. The bartenders are all horrible, the bouncers suck at what they do. Actually, they didn't do anything. I even watched a bouncer walking around drinking hitting on girls. They do nothing. They are clueless and have zero intelligence in the bar industry. Worthless management. I dont think ive ever been to a worst bar honestly and thats no exaggeration. I recommend not going there to anyone who asks.
(1)Toby T.
Taylor's is a great bar to go to when you're an undergrad living right off campus. Typically, most people will frequent Tay's after they've had a reasonable amount of alcohol to drink and can't wait to dance to the stylings of DJ Simy. Now that I'm older, I have to say that Tay's has lost a lot of appeal. Going to Tay's during the day can be a mistake as it reeks of stale alcohol from the night before (amongst other things), and to be quite honest, their food is mediocre at best. The great thing about Tay's is their Wednesday night dollar beers! Other than that, my feelings of excitement about this bar are distant memories.
(3)Robert B.
Nacho reviews are my deal, but I can't say I have anything on which to base my review here, because nobody ever served me. I work nearby, so I went in here a while ago during lunch. I sat down in a booth by the window and waited. And then I waited some more. After 10 minutes nobody had come to say hi, or give me a menu, or bring me water, or anything whatsoever, so I got up and left. Went to the Indian place instead, which has now closed unfortunately.
(1)Chris N.
It's not a bad place, if you don't mind being packed in like sardines with the greek crowd. Plus I noticed that the bar clock is 20 minutes fast, cutting off early evening deals and last calls way sooner than they should. Pool and shuffleboard do sweeten the deal, but you're not getting ahold of either on crowded nights. Plus you'll often find a line out front, and no one should have to stand in line for a bar in Eugene. Especially in the winter weather. If you really want to have a fun night, get drunk somewhere else, then sit on a bench across the street at closing time and watch a few fratboy fist fights before calling it a night. I've never been a regular there, and I'm proud of that fact. But I've certainly been spotted amongst the crowd a number of times, and I'll say it's not always a bad time. Oh, and lunch is pretty good.
(3)Beth B.
Excellent food. 4 stars for the bathrooms but the food was great. We had the cheesesteak with pepper jack, pot pie, fish and chips, and BLT. Everything was fresh and well prepared.
(5)Evan B.
the GO-TO (and safe) place to black out and see all of your friends black out. Also, they have food (apparently)
(5)Natalie L.
Giant cheap beers. Sticky floors. Nice patio. Agro door men.
(3)D S.
Taylor's remains an awesomely fun place on the campus scene, and I am sure I will continue to hang out here when I am Eugene, as the old lady who still goes to campus bars.. whatevs, it is fun :) Note to the ladies: Use the restroom in the back, the other one smells like a rotting corpse, or what I would imagine one would smell like :P
(5)Mat R.
THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR LATE NIGHT ENVIRONMENT. Mix equal parts University athlete, stuck up sorority girls, egotistical (and intoxicated) fratties, cheap drinks, shuffleboard, and anger management inducing bouncers and you've got Taylor's. You don't ever plan on going here, but you just end up here somehow. That's been my experience. I will say that it encompasses a college atmosphere in a nutshell and the drinks are very very reasonably priced, all things considered. Lots of "sexy alcoholics" here. Enjoy. Or not.
(3)Jonas K.
You entertained me when I was bored. You hosted my friends when they came over. You consoled me when I was sad.
(4)Pani L.
It is nicer than the bar down the street and the service was world's better too. We were acknowledged when we walked in, unlike the place down the street where we tried to flag down someone for a good two minutes before giving up. The drinks were strong and the bar food was fast, cheap, and well made.
(4)Zach M.
I went in here once. Unless I start taking steroids or join a frat, I will never go back. If you have tribal tattoos (which indicates a dangerously low level of taste) you might check this place out. On the contrary, if you are aware that you are an existing, authentic human being, try Agate Alley on the classy end of campus.
(1)Kai B.
To My Annoying Roommate, Actually, I don't even know why I call you my roommate because I'm pretty sure you're living at Taylor's. I know almost every night has some type of deal (Wednesday Dollar Beers, Thursday Long Island Ice Teas), but you don't always have to go. For the most part there is always a crowd, but it's really fratty with a bunch of sorority chicks. I have no idea how you can put up with the ridiculous wait for drinks, especially on friday/saturday nights when it takes AT LEAST 1/2 an hour to get a drink...and that's after you wait in line for a while just to get in. Now I get why you're always leaving the house at 11p even though it doesn't really get "happenin" til after 12p... But it is THE campus bar of UO, so I guess everyone should go at least once. I prefer to go after class for a beer, especially in the spring and summer. And the food is actually surprisingly good...for the typical greasy bar & grill food. Sometimes I'm surprised your douche friends get in, cause the bouncers that check the id's are douches themselves bout letting people in. Yours Truly, kaibemi buks
(3)Joshua N.
This bar is pretty lame sauce. They didn't seem to have an grasp on non Oregon IDs and had a comedy night with really terrible comedians. It was a weird atmosphere and there beers were boring. Not really fun at all.
(2)Jando S.
Taylor's has always been the go-to place for nearby campus bars, almost more so than Rennie's due to its location, which is conveniently on the corner of 13th and right across from the University of Oregon. Boozing is a past time for many Oregon students both legal and illegal and can get crowded on weekend nights. Each time I've come here at night it was always about the game and always about mingling with fellow students. Many of the frat guys and sorority girls would frequently meet here given its proximity with the Greek area, resulting in the same crowd almost every weekend. During the day time this bar doubles as a lunch spot, charging students food they can barely afford let alone digest. Service is terrible, the bartenders are overwhelmed at times and I almost forgot there was any cocktail waitresses that worked here due to how slow and how disgruntled they all seemed to be. To make things extra spunky during various nights of the week, they try to pass themselves off as a dive sports bar by broadcasting various games (mainly Duck sports). But even then, most Duck fans know not to come here to root, since most of us will be at the game anyway. Aside from the location factor, the main draw here is their reasonably priced well made drinks. Plenty of folks coming out of here are hammered, including some of the icons of 13th street (R.I.P. Hatoon) and the occasional faculty staff.
(3)Rachel B.
Nasty DIVE where all the frat boys go on weekends. The drinks are sub-par to say the least and definitely watered down. So unless you like to drink well liquor or cheap beer I'd highly recommend you do your drinking elsewhere. That being said if you like drunk underage girls or just have nothing better to do on a Wednesday or Thursday night then I guess "Tay's" (as the Eugene hipsters -if there is such a thing- like to call it) may be the place for you! However, if you're over 21 and want a more laid-back experience (maybe shoot some pool or watch the game) I'd walk down half a block to Rennie's (1214 Kincaid Street) and save myself the headache. Update: Message I received from owner and my response (thought it was a comment- but maybe he did not wish for this to be public) justin w. Owner Block & Report Owner 2 days ago Taylor's does not break the law. Taylor's does not allow minors to drink alcohol. Taylor's does not water down their drinks, that too is against the law. This is defamatory and should be removed. It is obvious that this person just enjoys going to the bar down the road Rennie's and is thinking she is doing them a favor when if fact we are all friends with their staff, manager and owners. Rachel B. 3 minutes ago Note above comment if you want a good example of the attitude of the staff at Taylor's. Maybe instead of posting an angry and offensive response Mr. W should think about attempting to enhance the image of his business by soothing customer relations. As I personally knew people who went to Taylor's when underage and as I have had drinks there that tasted more of tap water than alcohol (let's just say they were filled with too much ice- see I'm trying to compromise here! haha) this cannot possibly be defamatory as it is neither false, nor does it truly injure your reputation. Taylor's is a bar on campus that serves cheap drinks and financially-challenged students will still flock there regardless of what is written here. However, by posting a response attempting to reject any validity to my comment instead of using it as an opportunity to improve your business and open lines of communication I believe you may be simply proving my point that Taylor's is an establishment that does not place the highest value on the quality of their customer's experience.
(1)Simon Y.
Yo Brah, let's get PBR's.... Thats all I gotta say.
(2)Tom H.
Went for lunch after touring the school with my daughter. Perfect! Had the bacon bleu cheese burger, excellent, home fried potato chips were awesome. 25 years ago I would have been on the porch every Friday. Fun place.
(4)Leo W.
If you want dancing, intoxication, and occasionally karaoke, Taylors is for you. You can't visit Eugene without a pitstop here.
(4)Glenn B.
For what it is, an on campus bar & grill, I suppose it fills the bar part quite well. As far as food,I can only vouch for club sandwiches, which are pretty hard to screw up, but they were aweful. My Son & I both ordered different clubs and both looked at each other at the same time and said wow!! Extremely small amounts of all of the ingredients except the bread, but you have to have the bread, I had wanted mayo on mine and can only assume they were running out as it was 'photographed' on. will not return there to eat for sure.
(2)Mike Y.
Been here a couple times. Never by my choice. And never will return by my choice. That said they have a decent selection of beers but the atmosphere is a little too 'divey' for me.
(2)Garrett L.
I came here with my friends on Monday night for $1 Well drinks. Sucks to drink the bottom of the barrel liqueur...but for a dollar who gives a shit. I had about 3 rum and cokes with a beer...or 2. I heard that the bar food was good and i was hungry so i got the Strips and fries. You basically get what you order, chicken strips and fries with ranch and BBQ sauce for dipping. When i got my plate the chicken had a crap load of salt on it. I thought that was the way the cooked it so just ate it after dusting off all the salt. It came with a decent amount of fries and i ate that in about 10 mins. Then my friend wanted some strips and fries so she order one. When she got hers, there was no salt on the chicken, and she got a shit load more of fries. I was thinking to myself...wtf. How come hers lots a lot better than mine. That was some bullshit. We got there around 9:30 and it was not very crowded. All the Greek kids came in around 11, which was when the $1 drinks stopped so i do not understand why they did not come earlier. Anyway...the bartender was a cool guy and there were no complaints from him. Oh...haha. So of course your going to have the lonely creepers in the corner say if they would "do you" or not. My friends were getting really freaked out.
(3)Jamie Q.
This place is the site of the most fun night involving alcohol ever. I actually don't know if it's because of the bar or because of the people or because of the circumstances, but whatever. I deem this place 5 stars. The bar is located right across the street from campus so its easy to find. The girls who frequent this joint are Grade A and they are surprisingly easy talk to. Not like the girls who live in my home of LA. The drinks are really cheap. My friend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea ( I know, classy) which normally would be about 8 or 9 bucks where we live, but were told it cost $4.50. It addition to it being much cheaper, it was actually much stronger. Go figure. The night I went was Karaoke night and the bar goers had no problem acting a fool and singing. Have to appreciate that. Towards the end of the night when I had crossed the line and was singing Boyz II Men to a bunch of sorority girls, a cab driver named Santa Claus who I had never met before pulled me off the stage and told me he would be the one to take me back to the hotel. Luckily he was telling the truth and took me straight there.
(5)Chuck S.
With the extremely high prices and dance floor that looks like a casting call for that TV show "Tool Academy," I cringe everytime it's suggested we all go here, I barely enjoy myself. It's just way too packed for my liking. And what kills me even more, is everytime I'm at this place, there's some house party going on we probably could have gone to, with down to earth people and a beer pong table. I will greatly miss visiting Eugene after my friends graduate this spring, but I will NEVER shed a tear for returning to this bar.
(1)Whitney H.
All the haters need to chill out on the "college life" demographic that frequents Taylor's. It's across the street from the University for cryin' out loud! If you want to go to a bar where there are lots of other young people and drink (because that's what bars are for!) then Taylor's is the best spot in Eugene :) Their drink specials are amazing! Depending on which night you go you can get $1 beers, $2 well drinks, $4 super mugs, and more. I recommend Taylor's on the weekend or during a Ducks away game for a good time.
(4)Alex P.
Taylor's grew on me during my time in the bar scene around town. It is true that this is the default place for students, as it's right next to campus. So you have all the greek kids there, usually getting way too drunk and causing trouble. The drinks can be hit and miss. Sometimes you'll get weak s***, sometimes you'll get way too strong. But the crowds are always bad, so get there early. Here's what I do like about them though: 1. Karaoke! Every Tuesday night, it is the best karaoke in town. Get their early to get your name on the list, and enjoy the drink specials as well. Otherwise you'll be waiting a long time to sing. Long time ago, I swore I would never sing, but I eventually gave in the power of Tuesday nights. 2. Decent lunch time food: If you're in between classes, they actually have some decent food, at a good price. 3. Soccer! It's the best atmosphere for taking in some Champions League matches!
(4)Jeff W.
This will be a controversial review. Taylor's is a thing of contrasts. Taylor's gets 3-4 stars for being right across the street from the University campus. It also gets 3 stars for being cheap. But then if you were a bar across the street from a college campus, you better be cheap. Also, not many places in the entire State of Oregon should even be _allowed_ to be anything but cheap. OK, now that I have pissed off all the Oregonians... After that, Taylor's has issues. The service can really suck. I did show up the first time (since 1974) at 10PM with my newly minted Fighting Duck freshman son. A bell would ring and we would get $1.00 beers while people madly attacked the bar. But getting a hamburger was a Mental Test of Will. Are they great hamburgers? Not really. Good. Large. The Civil War Hamburger comes with Bacon, Cheese, and is probably what I should have had. The DJ, come to think of it, was good, particularly for Oregon where you expect the Dead and folk music. But this ain't the Taylor's of yore. I know, get over it, you sour-pussed Wreck of the Sixties. But _one_ bar within walking distance of the campus? It's not the same. 3 stars for location.
(3)Lester W.
If you are over 23 and/or not connected directly to the U of O, chances are you won't be too impressed with this place. Granted they have lots of TVs, and they seem to be tuned to sports related channels on Saturdays and Sundays, but otherwise, it just doesn't do it. There are two bars inside, but the second one is reserved for later in the night. When we were in there, the place was maybe a third full, and the three people behind the bar were struggling mightily. Weak. As my compatriot said later, "I wonder where the adults go to drink in this town."
(2)Katie W.
Please, don't go to Taylor's if you're sober. Actually, don't go to Taylor's until you've had about two or 12 drinks. The place is usually packed so it will take forever to get a drink, and in the process of waiting for a drink you'll get bumped into and maybe knocked down by frat bros and most likely, underage girls. The music is too loud so don't expect to meet anyone new unless you plan on doing something other than talking. Actually, I don't know, am I being too harsh? I liked this place when I was freshly 21, but it's a place you grow out of.

If you need a place to watch a game near campus, I guess this would be it. Other than that factor I see no reason what so ever to go here. The food was good, but overpriced. Decent bloody mary, but no one asked if I wanted a second one..Hello?! Always way too many drunk college kids for my taste.

I don't understand people's obsession with this place. Other than mere locality convenience, there is nothing great nor good about this establishment. Some of the bouncers are nice, wish I could say that about the bartenders. The crowd here looks like they are 18yrs old hanging out in their friend's parent's house who have gone out of town for the weekend. Like another Yelper said, if you're under 23 and don't care if the people you talk to have an intelligence equivalent to a bag of rocks, this is the place for you.

reminds me of my college days - were my friends and I really that loud? :-) Go here if you want to relive the college U of O Greek experience and see the last place Masoli enjoyed himself before getting into trouble at the SAE house. Most of the food is average bar food so I say go for their traditional burger and a beer! Of course I only ate here on the patio in the sun in the afternoon as I had my girls with me - minors allowed until 8 pm.

Had a good time at Taylor's. Ordered some wings and a few beers before the basketball game, they had a lot of other games on so it was a good place to pass some time.

If you are a student at the UofO you will probably love this place. If you aren't stay away, it's a dive.

Love this place. Great service. The manager and owner are both amazing. Fun, college atmosphere. Great outdoor patio too!

Taylor's used to have the best hamburger in town--a half pound hand-formed hunk of beef served with your choice of fries, salad, soup, or hush puppies. Yes, that's right, hush puppies. The menu here is "standard bar" with a bit of a southern flair--hush puppies, gumbo, fried crawfish, that sort of thing. The food isn't bad (though the burgers don't seem the same in recent years) but it's something of a college kid hangout, and by college kids, I mean the most obnoxious kind. During the day, the outside patio has a good mix of collegiate slackers cutting class and middle-aged men drinking beer. Once darkness hits, though, it's frat-sorority land. The service here can be incredibly BAD. In fact, maybe the worst bar service I've ever experienced in town. Why go? Breakfast is good. The burgers (when they're "on") are great. Most of the other sandwiches and entrees are tasty and affordable as well. It's hard to recommend Taylor's as a meal destination, but if you're hungry and not too picky, you can eat pretty well here. And you can play pool. (Did I mention that the jukebox always seems to be playing the Grateful Dead?)
