WoW!!! Is all I can say. We were at Lowe's starving and stopped here. Glad that we did! I forgot to take pictures but We will be back! We all loved, loved our food! Habanero sauce was so good I almost took a bottle with me. I'm going to ask if they sell it. All in all its a place to try.

SO YUMMY! I'm not really a Mexican food fan however my dad loves Mexican food and wanted to go here and eat. Best decision I made all day!!! The food took about 20 minutes to make even though the seating area was full. I ordered a chimichanga plate because when I eat Mexican food that's all I eat. It came with beans, rice, sour cream, slices of avocado, and the burrito was smothered in sauce and topped with cheese. The flavors were divine and the burrito was so big that I couldn't even eat half of it. Definitely worth the $8! The prices on the menu are relatively cheap. Everything was under $10 but don't be fooled because you truly get your bang for your buck. I will definitely be back here again for their delicious chimichanga plate or change it up and try something different.

Good food, fairly slow to get it. Somewhat "divey" (yeh, even for Eugene) interior. "street tacos" are large, delicious, choice of 3 meats, all xlnt, and just $2.00! each.

Probably the best taco spot in Eugene. Came for lunch and left soooo happy and satisfied! Cashier was super friendly and food came out hot and fresh! Will definitely be back!

This place has really good burritos. I recommend the super burrito it is made up of a chili relleno, rice and beans. I would also recommend the Machaca that is my favorite it a breakfast burrito eggs, beans, shredded beef, beans and rice.

Bring your appetite... they don't mess around with food sizes here. Always great no matter what I've eaten here. Fresh hot and authentic Mexican food! Being from southern California I'm always on the look out for real Mexican food.there is only a few places in town I well eat at and this is one of them.

Coming from the SF bay area, I am often disappointed with Eugene's mexican food selections. I had the chorizo in a veggie burrito and a carne asada taco. Perfect. No joke, the chorizo, rivals anything I can get in California. The carne asada was excellent as well but not as epic as the chorizo. I will have dreams about the chorizo.

This place is great. I've been looking for good no frills Mexican Food in Eugene and found it. Decent prices for the amount of food you get on a plate! I got the carne asada taco plate and they were flavorful and JAM PACKED with meat- I couldn't finish the three tacos because I was stuffed. The beans and rice are yummy and I loved that they put a few slices of avocado on the plate as well. Chips are great and unlike Chipotle, not oversalted. I will be back to try the nachos and enchiladas soon. Quick service, ample parking... a great option for your Mexican Food fix.

I ordered the fish tacos, and was underwhelmed. The fish was breaded, and the breading was overcooked with burnt spots, so all I tasted was that. The fish had no flavor, and the entire taco was bone dry, even with the pico (pico was good, though could have used a little flavor kick from cilantro). The reviews here are across the board pretty good, so I will be going back and trying another menu item, in hopes to revise this rating for a better one.

Great tacos! I was recommended to try Super Taco by a co worker and we absolutely loved it. I grew up in Southern California and this is one of the best spots in Eugene to get authentic tacos. We have been back numerous times and will continue to return. The carne asada tacos are a favorite!

Great food. Service can be slow sometimes due to long lines but the food is worth the wait

I feel as though I could write a poem about this wonderful place. The tacos I had were delicious, I can't wait to explore more of their menu. Service is always friendly and they even recognize my friends number when she calls and know what she wants. Best taco/burrito place in town.

I didn't expect Super Taco to be fancy, but I do expect the restaurants I eat at - fast casual or otherwise - to be clean. Boy was I disappointed. The tables were dirty, there was food and grease all over the dining floor and the unisex bathroom was filthy and out of toilet paper. Why stay and eat? Well, it's a pay first place, so I was already committed. The food was mediocre; I ordered the chicken dinner plate. No white meat chicken, chunks of dark meat only, some of which was okay, most was overcooked sitting in a pool of grease. Side of chips and guacamole, guacamole was the lime-green colored sauce type of stuff. Yes, portions are generous, but considering the food quality it is overpriced.

Super \sü-pr\: 1: Of high grade or quality 2: Very large or powerful 3: Possessing badass salsa verde Super Taco is indeed, Super. Oh, and the burritos are bomb too.

It's all about the enchiladas, baby! There is none finer in town - fresh, savory, satisfying.......can't say enough about how great they are. Other items (burritos, etc) are fine, but the enchiladas are over the top!

    (5)
  • Lisa O.

Absolutely one of the better menus, service and prices of most taco joints out there

  • Rob M.

Super disappointed in Super Taco My first two trips to S T were good, but today just so-so. The guacamole was thin and bland. Both my beef and chicken taco meat was over cooked and dry. The store is very clean and the staff is pleasant. I'll try again and hope that today was just an off day for their restaurant.

Fantastic! The customer service is AMAZING, Ive been going here for at least 2.5 years. Food is great, I'm from California so I know great Mexican food when I taste it. Everyone should go here. Not super expensive either. :) favorite place to get burritos!

Only word for it is, "Wow". I've passed by this place for a long time thinking that I should try it. Just wish that I had tried it sooner. Food and service were great! I will be back very soon.

I love this place! The carne asada is really good in anything they have. Best Mexican food in town and cheaper than the rest. Win.

They have a delicious steak fajita burrito and my wife and kids really love their veggie burritos. For $5.25 a burrito it's not bad either they are huge burritos!

I left San Francisco certain I would never experience taquerias like THOSE again. This place, while note quiiiiite the same, will totally meet my desperate lengua needs. I ordered two lengua tacos and yes, yes, yes! the meat was even more tender and flavorful than I've had at, say, the legendary Taqueria Cancún ( yelp.com/biz/taqueria-ca… ). The pico de gallo was markedly aged but tasted good and the tortillas were a bit dry (stale?), but whatever. At $2 apiece, this was one of the most filling, satisfying, tasty, and cheapest meals in town.

  • Erick N.

Super Taco never disappoints. I eat here two or three times a week. The food is delicious; the serving sizes are generous. They recently renovated the dining area and installed some awesome 50's diner booths, glossy red marble fabric heck yes. There are at least 15 different Taco and Burrito fillings. Breakfast items are served all day, so when the Burrito Boy down the street turns you down after 11 A.M. you no longer have to settle on "normal" fillings. My quick suggestions for those left gawking at the enormous list of fillings: Super Taco with Chicken, Super Torta with Chicken or Carne Asada, Sopes, or the Beef and Bean Supreme Burrito. Oh, and their Horchata is damn delicious.

  • Julia R.

I've only been twice so far, but I'm a fan. Huge burritos, lightly grilled in a warm tortilla. First time I got the carne asada without beans because the man behind the counter misunderstood when I said "with everything," and he repeated back to me, "no beans?" OK, whatever. I got it with beans the second time around and it was delicious either way. The red and green salsas are tasty, but I like the green better because the red is hot enough to scorch my ears. I haven't tried the horchata yet, but it looks very good, and my husband's al pastor burrito was spot-on. I want to try some other items, like the nachos, tortas and tacos, but the burrito is such a bargain it will be hard to steer toward other things. Try the pickled carrots. They are spicy as all get-out! Seriously, if you like real Mexican food, you can't go wrong here.

  • Amy S.

I really like this place! Although at a glance, this looks like another area taqueria, the menu is fantastic with many more options than typical. You can pick and choose tabos @ $1.50 each The service is always prompt and very friendly. The fish tacos are fantastic!

  • Garret R.

Today I saw the "Tripas Burrito" on the menu and my brain says "Oh that's just Spanish talk for Tri Tip steak." The cashier says to me "Are you sure you want the Tripa?" and I was like "Hell yeah, I want the Tripa." Still in a daze from a busy day, five bites in I noticed an unexpected flavor. I realized I was eating tripe, and just to be certain, I Googled it. Despite being nothing like Tri Tip, it was still an awesome burrito. The prices are great and the food quality is amazing. I love this place.

Sometimes it's helpful to think of Eugene as broken into various culinary zones. For those of you who have traveled too far down West 11th with a partner in the car nearing hunger cum homicidal rage, think of Super Taco as an alternative to hitting the value-meal panic button. The dinner plates, at $7.50, are very generous. I particularly enjoy the Chimichanga plate with steak. Splitting the Chimi between two persons allows you to explore the taco selection at $1.50/taco. Giant soft drinks for $2. The best kept secret is probably the Torta Cubana at $4.50.

My daughter and I love this place. I recently tried the chile relleno burrito and it was fantabulous!!! I love their tortillas. I have tried their tacos as well and I must say the food is always good. Whenever we want good and inexpensive Mexican food this is where we go! The burritos are pretty big-its good food for a good value!

Finally an awesome burrito in Eugene! The super carne asada burrito is the best to be had. The cubano torta, pretty deluxe. The tacos, good but better at Mi Tierra. Very good though. Not a great salsa selection, but great food. Hint: squirt lime on everything. But if you don't know that, go on over to taco bell.

I was scoffing under my breath the first time I passed by this joint, sandwiched between a carpet store and some sweaty punching bag place, with all that window paint proclaiming how awesome their food was. Don't be fooled by the strip mall location, the polished corporate-looking sign, or even the fifties diner booths - this place is pretty damn authentic! Tender carne asada, supersoft lengua, and low prices make this joint one of my new favorites. Sadly, the guacamole was watery & flavorless, the pico seemed a few days old, and though the squeeze-bottle red salsa was awesome the verde stuff was just foul. The whole place could have been much cleaner, including the bathroom. For a slow Saturday evening it seemed like the dining area hadn't been bused in hours, so when you walk in the door you're greeted by a huge pile of dirty dishes - kind of a turn off. I'll be back for sure though - a rare gem along the hellacious West 11th corridor.

Wow, great value, friendly service. Taco shops need to pay attention this is how it is done in my back yard. Had fish tacos and carne asada torta. Big flavors at very low prices, great food fast!

The food is very good. I've tried several of their burritos and they are quite good. My only complaint is that I think they go a little heavy on the refried beans. I've weighed their burritos. $5.25 for a 1.33 pound burrito is pretty good I think. The food is always ready very quickly. It's become a regular stop when I'm on my way back from the Wal Mart on 11th.

As a burrito fanatic, I promise you this location is a waste of time. The "steak" burrito is nothing more than a pathetic, false advertised shredded beef packed tortilla. With a few grains of rice, and 50/50 beans to shredded beef, it is not only boring after the first 2 bites, but also lacking in flavor completely. No salsa. No guacamole. No rice. This will be the first burrito of my life that my trash can enjoyed more. Bon appetite.

Date night turned into taco night, and rather than pay a pretty penny at our favorite taco place, trying something new turned out alright. Stopped by Super Taco on a Monday evening after 7, figuring the rush had died down. Wrong! This place was packed and received a steady stream of customers while we ate there. Prices are very affordable, and there's a wide variety of burritos, tacos, and extras. We chose the chile relleno burrito, and a handful of tacos- the carnitas, shredded beef, and grilled beef (not carne asada). The food came out within 15-20 minutes, but they were very busy. Burrito was HUGE, and pretty flavorful. We liked the tacos very much; the carnitas was the juiciest, and I really enjoyed the shredded beef. Would have appreciated the addition of sour cream and lime, but lemons wedges were the only citrus available on their condiment counter, and sour cream was an additional purchase. The girl working the counter was the only front of house staff, and she was BUSY, running food, changing bus tubs, taking orders, and staying polite and friendly. Extra tip for her efforts.

I am Savage-Garden-Truly-Madly-Deeply in love with Super Taco. I eat here pretty much all the time, like 4 to 20 time a month. Here is the deal, their food is great, their service is good enough (they just hired more help so on the rise actually), their prices are INSANELY good!!, and it's divey without being dirty. They have free spicy pickled carrots & jalapenos, limes, and toreados. The staff are all nice, friendly and remember you. **Tips from a seasoned Super Taco veteran: I ALWAYS call my order in ahead of time. 10-15 minutes ahead will save you 20 minutes during a rush. They do get really busy at lunch! Be clear if you want avocado vs. guacamole. If you order carnitas make it extra crispy. Alpastor tacos are the BEST!

Better than expected. The food isn't the best mexican food you will ever eat but it is good for the price (much better than burrito boy) . I fed my family of 6 for $30.00.

This restaurant is owned & operated by a hard working Hispanic family. Great food & their burritos are filled with MEAT. Not a little bit of meat & stuffed with beans to make it appear bigger, like many of the others are doing. I have always been pleased with the quality of Super Tacos ingredients. Try it out.

  • Carmik T.

Well- the burrito's are well worth the price! Huge & price is around $5.50. Great Deal! We ordered the steak burrito which has Carne Asada meat, cheese, beans, sour cream , guacamole and French Fries! It's been one of the best burritos we've ever had! The taquitos are really tasty; price is a little high: for two of them for $2.25 - we purchase two orders for a total of 4. They are pretty good size and the presentation is nice. Got the nacho supreme : they are average. Chips are not made in house ( that was disappointing) they are a bagged brand. Not a fair quantity for $ 6.00. Nacho's are covered with meat of your choice ( I suggest the Carne Asada ) along with fresh guacamole, queso cheese, black olives, beans & sour cream. Would have been a nice addition with a fresh tomato salsa like Pico on top! We dined in and it was brought to our table. We waited over 15 minutes, it was after 1 PM and wasn't to busy. They do offer three different bottled salsa to choose from, hot carrots and roasted jalapeños are at the counter on ice.

  • Ron R.

Good food. Huge portions for the money. The shrimp they use are actually a respectable size compared to most. My only complaint would be how long it takes the orders to come out, expect to wait 10-15 minutes even with just one person ahead of you. I don't mind waiting as long as I have that expectation set.

  • Mark A.

About the only criticism I have of this place is that it's so popular, you can't count on getting in and out for lunch on a weekday. I usually go on weekends for just that reason. Absolutely love the chili verde burrito with pork, and the green salsa is positively addictive on whatever you order. DLW mixes things up more, sometimes getting a breakfast burrito, sometimes tacos, sometimes nachos. She's never disappointed. It's nothing fancy, order at the counter and serve yourself drinks from the fountain, but the prices are right, and the serving sizes are just right.

  • Brian W.

This place isn't the BEST Mexican food in town, but it is definitely up there. For the price, you get a lot of very delicious food. Their breakfast burritos are great, as well as regular burritos and tacos. I haven't tried all of the tortas, but the Cubana is delicious as well. If you haven't been here, it is definitely worth checking out.

Have eaten here a handful of times. I like the chicken enchiladas. The bean and cheese burrito is OK. I think the things that keep me away are having a huge runny bean filled tortilla served in a plastic basket with a sheet of tissue paper liner...I can't hold it and eat it because it is like a floppy bag of watery beans...but I can't lay it down and cut it because then it's like a floppy bag of watery beans on paper that is tearing because of the knife. I just want to eat and not have to strategically plan each bite. I would go back but I think I would stick to the enchiladas...they are served on a regular plate :) Long lines and difficult parking too.

Great stuff! I asked for a camarones & asada burrito and the poor guys thought I was crazy. They threw some new shit together and it was F'n bomb. Plus their pico de gaio was some real backyard party salsa. My guts will burn for days! Yes!

I recently moved from the W 11th area to Springfield, and of the things I miss, I miss Super Taco the most. We used to drive by all the time, and always said we should try Super Taco, but always forgot about it. We finally stopped in one evening, and I am glad we did. The menu is decent, lots of options for burritos and tacos and the staff is friendly. Looking at the prices, we figured for 4 to 5 dollars a burrito, they were probably small. So my fiance and I each got a burrito and a cheese quesadilla.( $2 for the quesadilla) Wow, were we surprised when we were handed the bag of food. It weighed a ton! The burritos are giant, and it is hard to finish one. Even the Super Veggie is a challenge to finish, and the meat burritos are even harder. The quesadilla is also very large portion, and it is delicious. I am very picky about the cheese I eat, and typically only eat Tillamook cheddar, mozarella, swiss, and parmesan cheeses,. I was disappointed and almost didnt try the quesadilla when I saw that it was a melty white cheese. I don't know if it is a white cheddar, or what it is, but I don't care, because it was "real" cheese, melty and with no bad aftertaste like the cheap nasty cheese shreds some places use. Good by itself, but even better dipped into the yummy green sauce. I had ordered a chile verde burrito on a return trip, and this was the only item I had gotten that I didnt like. I actually hated it, but I am not a huge meat eater anyways. My fiance didnt mind it. Every other item we have ordered has been really good though. This place sort of reminds me of Muchas Gracias, or Robertos taco shops(Muchas in Southern Oregon, Roberto's in Nevada) but they do not have the fried crispy tacos, the prices are cheaper and the food is better. I would recommend to anyone looking for decent Mexican food, good portions, and great prices.

On my way home from running errands at Walmart (Le Wall, as I like to call it), I stopped by my favorite hole-in-the-wall Mexican food place...and discovered that Eugene's secret had been unwrapped. The joint was PACKED. But its popularity is well-deserved. Every time I've come here (which has been an embarrassing amount), my burrito has consistently been large and luscious: always a warm, slightly crisp tortilla stuffed with fresh ingredients that explode in a melody of spices across my palette, tingling each taste bud. A perfect pesca-vegan shrimp burrito for less than $6? Yes, please. Super Taco is also never stingy about its salsa, which is packed in little containers behind the counter. I recommend stocking up on the green kind. I adore the employees, who don't speak much English (the sign of an awesome Mexican food place) but definitely comprehend the meaning of "no cheese/no sour cream." I've NEVER had an issue with them ruining my order. They've even earned my trust to the extent that I don't have to include "I'm deathly allergic to dairy", which is a necessity at most restaurants (as well as making gagging sounds while rolling my eyes to the back of my head), even those without a language barrier. If you haven't already jumped on the Super Taco bandwagon, you better get on it--before the line gets any longer.

Fantastic Mexican food at a very, very reasonable price. The whole-wheat tortillas are delicious, as are the nachos. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it!

Best Mexican food in Eugene! I miss the Mexican food in California & have been searching for something similar in Eugene. Burrito Boy, Chapala's & Muchos Amigos is too bland for my tastes. My husband & I go to Super Taco about once a week. We have tried many of the dishes. The burritos are enormous & the prices are cheap. My favorite is the Chili Verde, very tasty. Yesterday I had the Nachos with Carne Asada. The Nachos are not covered by a ton of melted cheese, but topped with a generous portion of meat. If you are ever in Santa Cruz, go to El Palomar. It's out of this world!

Great, authentic food. I can barely finish the taco and enchilada dinner plates. (I typically get the "food coma" shortly after finishing the dinner plates) The Cubano Torta is delicious. Fresh made, reasonably priced, and delicious.

"Barely Adequate Taco" I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I found Super Taco to be a bit of a disappointment. I went in shortly after they opened and got my usual taqueria-trial burrito with al pastor. It was awfully underwhelming on first glace as it came out with no fanfare, unaccompanied on a small plate. Not to be too quick to judge... but I found that the blandess of the presentation matched the burrito itself. Hardly 'Super' and barely adequate for a quick lunch. It's too bad as that area of town really needs a good Mexican option. Ah well. I'll probably give it another run as I find myself out W. 11th fairly often and really would like to avoid chain-place fast-food if at all possible. It was cheap; I'll give it that.

This was our first trip to Super Taco and we were starving after work and wanted to continue our ever searching quest for authentic Mexican food in Eugene and Springfield. So far we have yet to find a place that we call "legit Mexican" food. Too often times Mexican restaurants have made food Americanized. We thought we had hit the jackpot with a well known Mexican eatery in Springfield. But it seems that the past year it has slowly declined and has become less authentic and more bland on each visit. At Super Taco my husband ordered six tacos that were two dollars apiece. The tacos came on double corn tortillas, and I got the chicken torta. My husband really enjoyed the fact that they have grilled onions and jalapenos sitting on the side next to the salsa bar. He enjoyed their three different flavors of hot sauce ranging from mild to super hot. I on the other hand can't handle spicy very well, and find hot sauce to be overpowering on food. The tacos were huge! My husband is a big eater and after the six tacos he said he was massively full. My torta on the other hand was rather dry. Usually the tortas I get are grilled with butter or mayonnaise on it, so it gives the bread a light buttery melt in the mouth taste and texture. The one I received today was just a plain cold torta that had minimal mayonnaise spread on it. It was topped with avocado, lettuce and refrained beans spread on one side. Unfortunately the dry bread over powered the toppings. I really did enjoy the chicken, it was very flavorful and moist and did not have bones or cartilage pieces in it (to often this has happened to me at other establishments). We will definitely be going back a few more times to try some other dishes on the menu.

Best burrito in town! Way way better than Burrito Boy or Burrito Amigos!!!!! I eat lunch here fairly often and I have never been disappointed. The only disappointment I've had here is the line is too long and I use up my whole lunch hour having a burrito. But who's kidding who here??? It's worth it!!! ;-)

    (5)
  • Jean S.

REALLY good mexican food, best in Eugene-and I've tried them all. BEWARE the lunch hour...if you show up at noon and have to wait for your food, it's because they're busy-duh! Tip: call ahead 10 minutes for to go orders.

Just when I thought being a regular customer was awesome, I was thrown back. They hired a hunch of new staff that are extremely rude...especially if you don't already speak Spanish. They must have been unaware that I speak Spanish as well and the things they were laughing at and gossiping about were about customers present in the restaurant. I just want my old Super Taco back, friendly people along with great food. They always have had amazing carne asada items so I love the food here but for customer service, bring back the other guys! I don't want to come to a Spanish restaurant and feel uncomfortable because of the awkward/rude comments spoken in Spanish by the waitress/waiter. More people know Spanish than you think, even the ones who may not "look" like they know.

Ok so I'm one week having just transplanted from San Diego to Eugene. I've lived in SD since 2006 and learned that if you are in SD you have to go to Rudy's in Solana Beach for mind-blowing Mexican food. My gf and I have been told that there is no good Mexican or Chinese food to be found in Eugene/Springfield. Well, as a rather decent authority on all things taco - Super Taco makes it seem as if I just drove the 900+miles back to SD. Their street tacos are very legit and their Alpastor is awesome with a very substantial flavor of onions as I've come to love. It didn't stop there, the carnitas was beyond moist and their crane asada is also yummy. They serve lengua which I am going to try next time. I've had lengua in SD and it was so tender. If you are feeling the craving that only a true run to the border (Southern Border that is) can satisfy look to Super Taco to scratch that itch for you. I would have posted photos but we got our grub'n on too quickly. They load up their street tacos with a ton of meat. This place makes me miss SD less :)

Food was amazing, but the service was ridiculously slow and the server gave my food to the wrong table. So I waited even longer to eat. Not sure if I'll go there again. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in town to try.

Got a chicken burrito and it was huge!! and very good! Have no complaints on the burritos at all but I would call ahead during the lunch hour, it gets pretty busy in there. Also pretty much all the tables were dirty but I kinda expected that since it was so busy and I didn't care to much because I was taking my food to go. On another occasion during a lunch hour I got the Torta...... This was not my first Torta but it was my first from super taco and I have to say this was the worst one by far! It was very soggy on the outside not much flavor and very very dry on the inside. I will still probably go back for a burrito but I will never buy a Torta again.

Had the adobada burritio (yummy and huge) along with a glass of horchata, and I'm a happy camper. They also have grilled peppers as garnish along with those spicy picked carrot and jalapeno things. It's good I'll go back.... but might not ever go in the bathroom based on other reviews.

Fantastic Mexican Food!! I'm a huge Burrito Boy fan but this place gives you more food, better taste, at a cheaper price. I'm definitely coming back here for more!!

I approve of the Super Taco!!! First, Chips and salsa. They are very important to me. They were freshly fried, homemade and not too greasy. The salsa was actually pico de gallo, usually not my favorite, but in this case, delivered. It was very flavorful and all the vegies were chopped fine which allowed me to scoop up a good amount of it onto each chip. Another important thing for me when eating Mexican food are the beans. The refried beans were very good. Not bland at all. My daughter is picky about them too and she liked them very much as well. She had the vegetarian burrito and said it was the best she had ever had. I had the carne asada tacos and they were awesome! The carne asada was nicely charred and flavorful. Bonus on my platter was a dollop of sour cream and 3 nice slices of avocado and some extra pico de gallo. The taco platter is enough for two people. Next time my daughter and I are going to split it, so at $7, it'll be a good deal. Her burrito was only $4. Chips and Salsa is $2, but I understand because the meals are pretty cheap. I can't wait to try the cubano torta that many others have recommended. You really need to stop by Super Taco.

Cheap good Burritos, very large, as large as my head as they should be. Many vegie /fish options, chili rellano burrito for only $4.00. Need I say more? They have many many taco options all $1.50 many are veggie or fish too. I've been to some so called "California" style burrito places around here that do not mash the beans and the burritos are way to expensive and way to small. Not this place. Super TAco has great portions, and cheap, where else can you get full on real food, and get filled, for $2.50 in Eugene??? Their salsa is a dark maroon red that lingers bringing warmth to the limbs with a depth of richness almost bitter in its complexity. I found this to be great food at a very reasonable price. Everything is not over priced at all but I found it all to be as it should be and as you would expect from a typical Southern Californian caliber taco/burrito place. They have horchata!!! Holla. They have camarons rancheros and they have pickeled carrots very very good and pleasing. To the reviewer who wrote barely adequate, they must not be used to real Mexican food. As far as this side of town needing good Mexican food, I would have to say that all of Eugene needed a good reasonably priced real Mexican food place and Super Taco is it.

Don't go there for ambiance. Every booth has or should have duct tape on it. Best Mexican food in town. It wouldn't take much to clean this place up a bit but once you calibrate your expectations that you are there for just the food it's all good. Very reasonable and it's authentic!

The food did not have much flavor, and left somewhat of an aftertaste. You must be careful when you claim to have "authentic Mexican food" cause some of us here have had the real thing. The people are nice, and the service is decent.

It's worth it!!! ;-)

Try it out.

REALLY good mexican food, best in Eugene-and I've tried them all. BEWARE the lunch hour...if you show up at noon and have to wait for your food, it's because they're busy-duh! Tip: call ahead 10 minutes for to go orders.

Good food. Huge portions for the money. The shrimp they use are actually a respectable size compared to most. My only complaint would be how long it takes the orders to come out, expect to wait 10-15 minutes even with just one person ahead of you. I don't mind waiting as long as I have that expectation set.

Great tacos! I was recommended to try Super Taco by a co worker and we absolutely loved it. I grew up in Southern California and this is one of the best spots in Eugene to get authentic tacos. We have been back numerous times and will continue to return. The carne asada tacos are a favorite!

Can't knock a place because it Happens to lack flavor Except the fact that A Mexican food place that lacks flavor Provides me with a reason to deduct three stars

I really like this place! Although at a glance, this looks like another area taqueria, the menu is fantastic with many more options than typical. You can pick and choose tabos @ $1.50 each The service is always prompt and very friendly. The fish tacos are fantastic!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
