I have been coming to this sandwich shop for 13 years and I have never been disappointed in the quality and quantity of the delicious subs this place produces. Subs are fully customizable from the long list of standards and substitutions. Also, get a full size sub and have them wrap the halves separate for longer storage and better value.

Tasty subs, so very filling too! The price is right for similar shops, fresh veggies, meats and breads. Even the junior size is good for the little ones.

I get lunch here to go all the time! It's my fav! Quality meats, cheeses, veggies, and bread! Oh the service is awesome too. What more can you ask for?

Great fresh sandwiches and excellent customer service. All the staff in there are super friendly. I love how soft their bread is too!!

Been here a few times now. No complaints. $5 something for a half. $7 something for a whole. A half will fill me right up, but for $2 more, why not get the whole and save it for later.

This is a great sandwich shop. I had the destroyer and the torpedo with a friend of mine on our way to the coast for the day. We stopped into the shop and asked for the most filling and yummy subs, and we got exactly what we asked for. Initially I wasn't sure that I would like all the meat combinations on the Destroyer, but it turned out to be just perfect for a long day at the beach. I had the sub at 10.30am and wasn't even hungry by dinner--it was THAT filling! I'm really happy I found Joel's shop. I'll go back again on it next trip to the coast.

I love the SubShop. Not too many around any more. I had the chicken salad at this one and it was great @ a good price.

This is, hands down, the best sandwich shop in Eugene, Springfield, and the entire surronding area. I've been a regular customer for 2 1/2 years now, and I have yet to be disappointed. Everything is fresh and made to order, to the point of slicing their meats and cheeses specifically for each sandwich. The large menu with plenty of extras means never being limited to the same old sandwich every time. Recent renovations have made their dining room very comfortable. They've updated their layout and counter in a way that gives something like a bistro feeling (without the pretention I tend to associate with a bistro). There's local artwork hanging and they cycle it through to keep a fresh atmosphere. And, most important of all, Sub Shop always scrupulously neat and clean. The best part of this place, though, is the owner and staff. These people clearly take pride in both their products and their customer service. They make an effort to know you by name (and sandwich) and generally pleasant people that want their customers to have an enjoyable experience. There are so many sandwich shops out there that are designed and operated as "factories" with miserable employees that go through the motions with glazed-over eyes. Sub Shop is the very antithesis of this concept. High quality food, an inviting space, and a genuinely dedicated, friendly staff have earned my loyalty.

It's good and local. They slice the meat fresh right in front of you. Super friendly, I go enough now that they remember me. Same crew that has been there for years. It's not pretty but it is totally clean and nice.

If you live or work in the west 11th area, you've gotta try Sub Shop. They make subs the old fashion way with large portions, fresh ingredients and friendly staff. A trip across the menu revels some mighty tasty toppings choices such as chipotle BBQ sauce, cranberries and my new favorite.......pesto. If you ever feel like your subway is looking a bit thin on the meat and cheese give this place a try, they really pack it on. Also if you are like me and have the occasional "working lunch" they have fast a friendly delivery. Its not just subs either, home made soups and salads. Oh, I almost forgot-they have a stamp card and you can earn yourself a free sub. :-D

Went for a pastrami and they microwaved four bacon strip slices of pastrami on a hotdog bun from Costco. If you like sandwiches this place is an abomination

Sub Shop offers some of the best deli sandwiches around and I hope to find the same here in the Portland area. Sub Shop is one of those hole in the wall kind of establishments you never know about until someone tells you. Their ingredients are fresh with everything freshly prepared in front of you. Their service is QUICK and their sandwiches are one of the best in Eugene. Well priced at about $6- for a fresh 12" sub. I recommended Sub Shop to everyone who makes it to the West side of town.
