Double thumbs down. My girlfriend wanted to make this fathers day special for me because I hadn't seen my sons in fifteen years after their psychotic mother took them while drunk and drove off a cliff in a tyrade. My girlfriend placed the order over the phone, was told I'd get a free slice of pie for fathers day and then ordered a whole pie. When I picked up the order the manager stated he didn't know anything about the free slice of pie. He did not give me the whole pie I'd paid for or the soup which was ordered with the meal but I didn't notice until returning home because of being stressed over what happened to my sons years ago. My girlgriend called the general manager a second time who insisted I was to have received the single slice of pie so I returned to the restaurant. I asked about the whole pie but the manager insisted he gave it to me which developed into an argument, he at first wasn't going to give me the single slice of pie and insisted he already gave me the soup but eventually gave it to me. What started out to be a horrible fathers day turned out horrific because of that dumbass manager. I will never return.

This was most definitely the worst main stream diner I have ever been to. I came in by myself expecting a nice quick meal, and something that would slightly fill me up. I sat down in the front area and waited for about five minutes to give my name to the hostess so I could be seated. There were some people paying there bills that seemed to be having troubles with the register, so I understood. When I gave the lady my name and told her I was a party of one she seemed almost annoyed, like "one? Okay... Fine." I thought I had done something wrong or something by not bring more guests in. However, ten minutes later I was seated in a nice comfortable booth with a menu full of choices. I found something nice to eat and within a couple minutes and put my menu down to let them know I was ready to order. Another ten minutes later they figured it out, and one tired or confused looking man, I couldn't really tell, came to me and took my order. Now, I know he was probably both sad, tired, and possibly delerious. Okay, here it is. The reason I'm writing this review, This is the mis fortunate event that had me laughing all the way home in disbelief. Get this, I waited for a whole hour to get my food! I was laughing in my seat I couldn't believe it took so long. I kept glancing around at people who came in when I did, to see if it had taken them the same amount of time as it had for me. I'm pretty sure they were already gone so I couldn't really tell. Finally, the waiter came to me and handed me my meal. He at least said sorry about the wait. I was pretty frustrated actually but I was just happy to get to eat a nice hot meal... But even that was too much to ask of a fairly well known diner. My prime rib dip was both cold, soggy, and disappointingly small. I finished it within three bites or so and I'm pretty sure you get more fries with the McDonald's dollar menu. Still feeling hungry, I asked the lady for my check, paid, and got out of there as fast as I could. I had waisted a lot of time and money on a sad meal and a fruitless night. I was definitely not impressed with this Sherry's Restaurant. To be fare, one of the waiters did keep my water full, and I drink a lot of water so that was nice. However, if you are in a rush, skip the slow and poorly operated Diner called Sherry's Restaurant.

On Sun afternoon 7/19 about 4:00 p.m. We stopped for early dinner at Shari's in Eugene OR. We are traveling & do not have Shari's in our area. Had eaten at one last summer in Olympia WA & recalled food very good & pies excellent. A+ to cook!!! Our country fried steak was cooked to perfection--so good as sometimes it is overlooked & hard. This was still juicy on inside & outside just a little crunchy as it should be. Red skinned potatoes were fresh and the salad was great! Our server Christopher was good & we received our food promptly just as we ordered.

Shari's is dece. I didn't come for the food, I came for the experience. My friends and I were grocery shopping at wal mart at mids and decided to head over to the local Shari's for a late dinner. I ordered the spring spinach omelet. Not great. Still though, never a bad time at Shari's.

Literally: 10 minutes to get seated 20 minutes to get the beverages 50 minutes to get a 2 burgers and one of them was wrong. 20 minutes in line at the register This was at midnight. I wanted a burger after work on my way home. Over Priced for what I got. Horrible Horrible disorganized waitress. And we are very forgiving. This is the first time in my 36 years I've not left a tip at a restaurant. Never Again. I'll go to Jack in the Box down the street for 50 cent tacos.

My scrambled eggs were watery. They were bag/carton eggs, not fresh. To be bluntly honest I've had bootcamp eggs that tasted better. My moms eggs were supposed to be medium but they were clearly snotty (yuck). She said something about it and they took them back and they returned appearing almost burned. Service was polite but slow. I likely would not return unless a friend told me they have improved. I've had better food and faster service at Denny's.

Decided to get Sharis late on my birthday and ordered online. There's an option online to get berries on your waffle for 1.99 more. I made my purchase and went home.. I realized they did not add the berries and called to try and get a new one. I went back in and the management was incredibly rude and had bad customer service I will never go back

So we were driving from Oakland CA to Portland OR, and damn son! That is quite the drive. Needless to say, at hour 8 we needed to stop and get some food. Pulling off at the last stop in Eugene, the options were limited: Outback steak house (no), MacDonald's (oh hell no), and random ass diner, Shari's. Well, the decision was easy. Unfortunately, had I known that Shari's is the North Western equivalent of Denny's, I would probably have thought twice about it. So good things: ........ Beer is cheap-ish? (Why go to a diner to drink???) Kids eat free on weekends. 24 hours So bad things: 1: food bland, sucked 2: vegetarian selection is abysmal. Seriously, all I ask is 3-4 options out of 20. I know most of nation isn't vegetarian, so you don't have to cater to me. BUT, it isn't that hard to make a meal without meat. I'm not asking for vegan here, throw some cheese product on a wheat product and I'll be happy. 3: Uber chain 4: Service was mad shite. We had to wait for ages. 5: And this place was expensive for what it offered. I do not recommend it...in fact, had I known how crap it was, I might have seriously considered fasting till Portland.

Now, come on. Do you REALLY need a yelp review to decide whether or not to eat at Shari's? It's fine. It's an inoffensive blip on the culinary landscape, serving unpretentious standard fare to a rotating cast of middle American diners (which includes me). You can do better; you can certainly do worse.

The pie was awesome... the rest of the meal not so much The wait staff was young and took on 12 high schoolers like nothing. The food itself is average and not very impressive.. but our kiddies liked their burgers, fries, biscuit and gravy... someone got french toast. Go for the cinnamon buns and the other desserts. ... my sour cream lemon pie was awesome.

I had a really negative experience here. I took my dad here for his birthday and, despite the so-so reviews on yelp, I thought we would have a passable experience. I was wrong. We had to wait at least 10 minutes to get seated. That would not have been a problem if there had been anyone there...but there was no one else waiting for a table and barely 4 tables of people sitting in the restaurant. Finally we were seated by a manager who was completely ticked off that he had to seat us. He proceeded to yell at the woman vacuuming the floors that "just because she wasn't serving didn't mean she wasn't working". It was super inappropriate and it wasn't a good way to start the meal. Then we had to wait at least 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence at the table. No water. No silverware. No "hello" or "hey there, be with you in a minute". Nothing. I really can't tell you why we stayed, but we did. The food was just okay. I got a burger and it was moist, but their idea of meat temperature was "rare, a 'lil pink, no pink". Ummmm okay...I'll take mine "a 'lil pink" thanks. My dad got the hot turkey sandwich and he admitted the turkey tasted like cold cuts. I was pretty upset that it wasn't even high quality deli meat on his sandwich. Finally we split a piece of the blueberry sour cream pie and it was horrible. It tasted watery - can someone please explain to me how sour cream pie would ever taste watery?!? Anyway, I really wouldn't go here ever again. The service was horrible and the food was just okay. This place is just not worth it when there are so many good restaurants in Eugene.

Dude. I know you're high and underage and really need a full strawberry pie for 7 bucks at 3AM, but seriously. Do not succumb to the gastronomic deathtrap that is Shari's 24-hr restaurant. Having a wicked hangover is better than eating soggy eggs and pancakes that taste like cigarettes. In conclusion, don't go here. Or IHOP either. Ever.

This Shari's is located along Eugene's busy W 11th Ave and is one of the better Shari's I've been to in the city. The portions seem larger, service is better, and the layout of the restaurant allows better seating for groups. Some things still stay the same however, such as the prices, clean bathrooms, 24 hour schedule, and the late night deals. Out of the other Shari's this place has the upper edge for seating groups and other intangibles. But I threw all of that out of the window when I had a fly deepfried into one of my waffle fries. That was disgusting. I think I'm done here. A bonus aspect during the late night: strippers just getting off their shift and coming in here for some late night grub.

If there is any other choices don't stop at Shari's. I never order steak and eggs, but this day I wanted some beef. I think they cooked the steak in the microwave because it had grill marks but was not charred (steak lovers will know what I mean) and it was medium warm and the flavor was blank, certainly not beef. My husband had her quich and thought that it was really great,. Go figure. Go to McDonald's and get their breakfast sandwich which tastes better and is cheaper.

Definitely one of the worse dining experiences I've had. The family decided that we'd give Shari's a chance. We were greeted pleasantly, our drink order was taken right away, it took us a while to look through the menu. Once our order was taken... It went south from there. After we ordered, three families arrived and their orders were taken. Then their food arrived, (you can see where this is going) after they sat and relaxed for a few, they left. Oh, and our food had yet to arrive. I called the manager over and asked where our food was. It was brought out immediately. I took a bite of my bacon... Hmmmm how do I describe it... COLD!!! So I asked my wife and son how their food was... You guessed it, COLD. My son was acting like we hadn't feed him since birth, and continued to eat out of survival instincts alone. I called the manager over again and my food was taken back to be redone. My wife and starving son didn't want to complain, so they elected to continue eating. After that another family arrived, ordered, ate, and left before my food arrived. Disgusted I went to the cashier and informed her that I wanted to pay for what was eaten, and cancel the refire on the food I was waiting for and leave. The manager was called over and I expressed my displeasure. She informed me that she was going to comp. our meals. I told her that I would rather pay for what was eaten, as it wasn't my intention to get free food. She insisted, and we left. The manager was very apologetic, and handled the situation professionally. Which was pretty much the highlight of the experience. Will I give them another chance? If the cooks get it together... Possibly, but I will be wary.
