Super quiet and laid back inn, a few blocks away from the university. I had a big, spacious room with a really warm fireplace. Breakfast consists of a pair of eggs, some sausages, toast, coffee and juice. There's a refrigerator with reasonably priced drinks and a Keurig coffee machine. I would recommend asking for a room near the center of the hotel to get better internet reception. There are couches and nice tables in the lounge areas, lots of board games and books. I was here without a car and it's about a 5-10 minute walk to nearby restaurants. Will definitely stay here again next time.

My family and I tried Secret Garden Inn by finding it on the internet. We love this place! The sleeping arrangements are so comfortable! The staff is so nice. Breakfast is unbelievable!

Not sure what to say about those other reviews. We just stayed there last Saturday night. Two rooms. The rooms were both clean and cute. The beds were comphy. We all slept well and were served a very nice, complete, freshly made breakfast in the Sun Room. The service we got was friendly and attentive and generous. The price of the rooms were reasonable. We will stay there again.

I booked this property because the Hotels were locked up due to the 2015 Spring Commencement at Univ of Oregon. The Pluses: Location, Friendly Staff, a Tasty Breakfast, Comfortable, Convenient and Liam the Cat, their Innkeeper. Minus: Price (Maybe due to the season - UoO Graduation ) Booked their most expensive unit "Summit Suite", 3rd Flr. Expected a Couch with a foldout bed because lessor units have them and I stated 3 people would be staying. Checked in at about 1130pm so we had to enter through the side entrance, hauled our lugguge to the 3rd floor, they did have King size bed, and saw that they had 2 small chairs rather than a couch, the TV was not operational, nor was the remote able to rectify the issue, the AC seemed to be not operating correctly, their was no trash can in the unit. The GOOD News is we had a good breakfast and reported this to Don the owner and all issues were resolved by the time we returned that evening. $375/per night was a bit steep for the condition of the unit, but all in all it was comfortable, the staff was friendly and procactive and it fit our purpose, it also was a huge benefit that the property was 1 block away from campus. Thank you Don and Michele the stay was very nice....to include being greeted by Liam as we entered and exited the property.

Myra's hospitality really made our several day stay enjoyable with generous hospitality. Other strengths are neighborhood walkability and geocaches in area. Otherwise, we endorse others' reviews of now pleasant and clean the rooms are. Wifi a bit dodgy but workable.

If i could give this no stars I would. The owner is the rudest person you will ever meet. We had made reservations a year in advance around graduation. We had booked four rooms and had a guaranteed rate. But then the owner found out that his friend was getting premium dollars for that time of year a month before graduation and called us and said he was raising the rate for all our rooms. We told him we didn't' feel that was fair that we had booked a year earlier and was given a rate. He went ballistic on the phone and was unbelieveably unprofessional screaming into the phone and not even letting me speak. He said he didn't want any of us staying there and basically threw us out into the street because every other place was booked solid. We had no choice but to rent a house three hours away but at least we didn't give this jerk our money. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Stayed at The Secret Garden while up in Eugene visiting my daughter. A great place: a multi-room beautiful old home that really does feel like home. Breakfast included every day in a lovely sunroom overlooking the beautiful garden. Myra cooked us breakfast every day (try "Dave's Killer Bread" if they have it) She was so kind and friendly and we felt like we had a new friend by the end of the trip. Fruit trees on the property that we were allowed to raid, and delicious grapes in the front, ripe for picking. Cold, fresh water available all day, as well as coffee, tea, and chocolate chip cookies. Very private and quiet. Lots of common areas to lounge in. Room price so reasonable - less even than a chain hotel and far more comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved my stay at Secret Garden Inn in Eugene! From the night I arrived, until the afternoon I checked out, the staff was so kind and pleasant, and the Inn and grounds were well kept and comfortable. It is warm, homey, charming, open and airy, with the cutest lounge areas- replete with tea and magazines. This is the best place I've stayed in the entire state of Oregon, by far. I had to go down to Eugene at the last minute for business, and I had not planned to stay anywhere, so I spend a few hours driving around the city looking at various B&Bs. The Secret Garden Inn was the most charming and spacious and the most reasonably priced, so I chose to stay there! It's located in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood, too. The owner (Don or Doug?) was so sweet and accommodating, waiting up late that night to let me in, after my tour d'B&Bs around town! HA! I had a wonderful experience there and highly recommend staying at that charming abode!
