I really like ocha. They get a lot of flavored in most the dishes. Service is fast. My favorite item is the Asian cowboy sandwich. Lots of good soups too.

Love this little eatery. Simple but delicious, Ocha never disappoints. My favorites on the menu: crispy pork belly, chicken noodle pho, the chicken wings, the lemongrass chicken on vermicelli. The one thing I have to say, and I don't believe I am alone on this, is their Banh Mi's.....they affectionally call it the Mon Mi after one of the owners. They do their Mon Mi on a ciabatta roll which is heavy and so dense that you end up tearing at your sandwich like a desperate canine rather than a respectable human being on a lunch break. I love the traditional light, and fluffy french roll that typically a banh mi is done on. Other than that, I love that Ocha is in the Fifth Street Market, I think it's vital for the food court in the market to diversify their food options and they definitely have done so!

I went to the 5th Street Market Food Court for the first time and got to try this little joint. My 5 stars is primarily a function of 1) customer service and 2) food quality. Eugene (and Oregon in general) is not known for fantastic customer service. I made an order to try the Lemon Grass Chicken. I paid, and after a few minutes they called me over to let me know that the chicken would take 25 minutes and asked if I wanted something else. I didn't mind ordering something else at all and ordered the sausage sampler and salad instead. They refunded my half of the meal (I paid for someone else's meal I was with as well) as a gesture for making me wait and being willing to compromise! This was my best experience in Eugene to date. Now, the food. The Thai sausage plate came with some white jasmine rice, a very fresh vinegar salad with red onions and slightly picked cucumbers. The sausage it self had a sweet marinade that was slightly salty and just the right amount of char from the grill. It was a killer meal for only $9! I was very satisfied. Given the quality of food for the price, the amazing customer service, I feel these guys deserve some recognition. My experience was definitely 5 stars.

I ate here once and really liked the food. Returned yesterday and they have closed for good. No longer there. It's too bad.

Visited here again on our way thru town and glad we did. Once more everything was great. My wife ha the roasted chicken and it was moist and flavorfull. I had the belly sandwich again and the kids got pho. the only thing better than finding a place with great food is when it is consistant and this place has that going for it as well!

I love this place!! I had never eaten there until I started meeting in the international cafe for Asian Celebration committee meetings! I was sure missing out. One of my very favorite things from there is the Crispy Pork Belly. I heart their pork belly, it is succulent with just the right amount of crispy and perfectly seasoned. I usually get the belly mon mi however I wish that it was on a traditional Vietnamese bun instead of a ciabatta roll which is just too much bread to filling ratio and doesn't give that awesome crispy, melt in your mouth experience, yet this absolutely is not a deal breaker as the food tastes fantastic and the workers there are super nice!

The food here is excellent and you get big portions for affordable prices. The service is great and the food is well prepared. We have been there a few times now and it never disappoints. I expect this kind of quality from a restaurant.

This little gem is tucked in the fifth street and man oh man. Could I not have asked for a better discovery, this rivals Columbus reaching "India". If I had to sum this place up, fast restaurant quality food without breaking the bank. I got a half rack of ribs that was beyond meaty, it didn't leave you wondering if this was bought out of a truck labeled "food" with a clown in the back. It tasted amazing for food that is essentially a food court, I was in awe that they could do that for 11$. But with a grain of salt, there was no way ribs are made to order, it came prepped out of the fridge, heated in the oven and finished in the grill. But here's the catch, you can usually taste the fridge, the bad texture, or in other words it is almost like you are chewing on a dish towel. But ocha had none of that. All of their prep work was labeled with dates, their attention to detail is a clear indicator that I can feel confident about.

Since Ocha is in a food court (nice booths!) I'll just get straight to the food: Pho: Not bad but not very Pho-like, it tasted like chicken noodle soup, especially the broth which lacked the complex flavors of traditional Vietnamese Pho. There was a lot of (boiled) chicken skin in the soup, which I didn't care for. Tempura green beans: Fresh, crispy beans and a crisp batter. Not terribly flavorful, I found it lacking in seasoning or at least salt, but it comes with some kind of aioli to dip it in. Kim-chi: Seemed underfermented, with a strange amount of ginger. In short: There are better options in the food court, and for top quality, authentic Vietnamese food you may want to check out Pho Bistro on Crescent.

I had Pho Ga with chicken and it had the best chicken in it of any place I have had this dish. The pieces were large, fresh and not with a bunch of fat on it like some places. I liked the flavor of the broth, too. Since I am not a big cilantro fan, I will ask for less of it next time. I will definitely order this again.

You should review the place you visited, not the one you wished you visited. It's a good adage for this venue. The things it does well are great, but the other things aren't so good. Pork belly banh mi is such a great idea, and this one is pure fatty goodness. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, cut nice and thick, served with the requisite pickled veggies and jalapenos, all so yummy. But why use ciabatta instead of baguette? The satisfying crunch of a classic banh mi is part and parcel of the experience. This one is pillowy soft, not bad but somehow not as identifiable as banh mi. DLW wanted pho, but the place only offers chicken, no beef version. Their version of chicken pho was no better than okay. They do offer tom yum and tom kha, which may be better choices. Thai iced tea is always welcome, but bubble tea might be nice. I would certainly try this place again, but make a mental note of what's worth ordering.

I thought I read enough good reviews on the pho ga (chicken) to justify the 16 minute drive from my workplace to 5th Street Int'l Cafes. The staff is a happy little crew, but unfortunately there isn't much to rave about. The bean sprouts were dingy looking so I skipped them, and the pho itself wasn't very flavorful. It was basically a chicken soup. There were a few large pieces of chicken skin with the lean meat, and once I picked those out it really wasn't awful; it was just unexpectedly unexciting. Next time I am craving a rainy day pho ga I'll likely satisfy it with Bon Mi's version. On the contrary, their pork belly bánh mì looked very appealing. I'd skip the soup and try a big salad or bánh mì.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place, as I (wrongly) assumed it was just another fast food place to get a quick lunch. The two times I've eaten here the food has been quite good. And to top things off the people at the counter have been pleasant and helpful with my questions.

We had the Avocado Curry (I think it might have been a daily special) and Baby Back Ribs for dinner. The ribs were amazingly full of flavor, and the meat fell off the bone perfectly! It's not the cheapest especially for the small portions of rice but the servings of the ribs were generous. The curry was not too bad but nothing spectacular. I'd definitely come back for the ribs.

We went to the International Cafe at 5th Street in hopes of trying something from each place; unfortunately I always get carried away and we ordered too much from the first too (Ocha and Baker/Butcher) that we didn't have room for the other two, so we'll be back for those later. I liked the menu at Ocha, we order the Pho Ga since there is so much chatter about it on here, as well as the steak bahn mi (we tried for the pork belly bahn mi but they were out). The soup was good but nothing spectacular, however the bahn mi was really excellent: delicious bread (not sure where they get it from but it tasted fresh), well-cooked medium-rare steak that wasn't chewy, stringy or fatty, fresh spring mix and a tasty lime aioli rounded it all out. I also like the pickled vegetables that they served with it - I threw mine on top of the sandwich and it was so good! I'd recommend Ocha for their bahn mi but I would also like to try some of their specials or other dishes, we almost ordered the Vietnamese chicken wings so maybe those next time.

I think that this place has gotten not the best name from some reviews when it is actually pretty good. Defiantly worth trying. I've been here three times. Once ordering the pork belly sandwich, which was fatty but good (I would recommend ordering without mayo). The second I got the ribs, which were also good. The third time I got the chicken Bon mi which was also good but the pork belly was much more flavorful. Overall a quality place worth trying.

New place in the food court at 5th Ave. Market, and they are making some very good roasted meats. I stopped in for a banh mi sandwich with crisp, roasted pork belly - a generous portion - and an iced Thai tea. Yum! The banh mi wasn't the best I've ever had, since the bread was more like a ciabatta roll than the more authentic crisp rice flour mini-baguette, but it was still delicious. The sandwich is dressed with some sort of mayo and a variety of pickled veg like carrots, cucumber pickles, pickled onions and there were raw jalapenos as well as pickled ones, plus some cilantro. So all of the garnishes were the real deal and the meat was super fatty and crunchy as you would expect from house made pork belly, but I just wish they got their rolls from the same supplier as Bon Mi or Yi Shen. That would really make this a 5 star sandwich. The Thai tea was good, too, but I think they would do well to offer bubble tea also. I want to come back to try the pho, as I've heard that it's very good, and I might like to try some of their other meats, like the roasted half chicken. You can see the meats in a display case on the counter, but I couldn't take a picture of them because the glare on the glass case was too powerful for me to get around.

I really enjoyed my first visit. The food is delicious, fresh, and made in a very clean kitchen. I will be back.

Great Pho! With all the trimmings. Also the Pulled pork sandwich was amazing! Great service and smiles.

We love this place when we just want to grab some quick Thai food and chill in the sun at the 5th Street Market. It is fast Thai food so don't expect it to be as good as some full service restaurants, but I must say, the curry is top notch and the avocado curry is amazing at a $10 price point with large portions. We are always greeted with a smile and the manager even calls us by name. If you're looking for great Thai at a great price without dealing with the full service seen, then this is your place. Check it out.

They need to upgrade the quality. Bahn Mi sandwich had soft flavorless bread, too much mint, and heavy mayo dressing without good tang or spice. Veggie stir fry was bad, basically just soy and fish sauce, honestly one of the worst dishes I've had in a while. Decent curry, sweet, they put red pepper flakes on top for spice. Hope the owners read this, not sure why the food is so much worse than Sabai. Don't have time to go talk to the restaurant, and that food deserves a bit of public shaming...please improve flavors and quality of product.

Kids ordered the shrimp pho. The shrimp and the veggies were cooked fresh. It was absolutely delicious. I had the Samoan bánh mì. Wonderful mix of flavors. Friendly staff, good service, reasonable prices; highly recommend it.

I have gone here twice and thought it was okay. The first time I got the Pork Lemongrass Vermicelli Salad and it was good, but there was so much lettuce and not many noodles like I am used to at other Vietnamese places. The next time I went, I got the Roasted Cornish Game Hen which at a price tag of $10 I thought would be a decent sized portion. It was ridiculously small size and I was feeling hungry and ripped off afterwards. The meat was good, but I got the equivalent of a drumstick and wing of a game hen which is not very much! I know game hens are small, but a wing and drumstick and that is it? It came with a scoop of rice and a half-hand full of undressed greens. What a rip off. I don't think I will go here again. I usually give a restaurant 2 strikes.

I love the pork lemongrass salad with noodles. The pork is tender, but crispy on the outside. Noodles and flavor of this dish are spot-on. Be sure to try this Asian street food place in the Fifth Street Market. I'll be back!
